I can collect jewels every four hours but there’s nothing to spend them on. I can paint yet more houses but they never get any harder. For example I found while in level 22, I got stuck in a part where I could not complete the wall. The only way I could restart is by closing and reopening the app. A second issue is that there is no challenge. There is no objective or goal. This could be implemented in a max number of moves of receiving stars/coins for the fewest amount of moves. Thirdly, I found the game to be quite repetitive. The ads, as you’d expect were frequent and a simple airplane mode sorted that out but without that I’d probably deleted well before this level. There’s no time limit or limit to how many moves you can make, which makes the game more chill, but gives no consequences. So you can just slide your finger around aimlessly and solve every puzzle eventually. You get gems at the end of each level which you can use to build houses in a town... but the houses are random and you just build a bunch... in a row... and just look at them. You can also use gems to upgrade them, but they just get bigger. You have no control over anything, so I really don’t see the point. Plus, the quicker it’s done, the more gems one could get. With this being said, we should be able to take a look at the previous levels so that we can go back and try to finish it even faster! Everyone loves to try and beat their high score. A ‘start over’ feature could be helpful as well. We have infinite moves in the game, but sometimes taking a step back and getting a clear image could help one if they got stuck. The movement is smooth and the goal of painting the entire wall is satisfying. If you want to mindlessly solve these puzzles and feel a false sense of accomplishment then play this game. Puzzles should progressively get harder as the player gets better at them. This game throws in one hard puzzle, which is actually a new puzzle, and I have a feeling the developers do that to push the players into thinking they need to skip it with an ad or keep trying, which the player will eventually get since you’ll never run out of paint so the tries are endless. Nothing wrong with that but there’s just no sense of actual progression in this game. But I guess this appeals to the masses and who cares about any other changes in the game because that would require a complete overhaul of the game.
