✓ Finally...Finally, a game worthy of the Peanuts brand (sad that everything in a capitalist state eventually becomes a “brand,” but there it is). I grew up with Peanuts in the house; my mom had several Peanuts books from near the time it all began, with Charles Schultz’s earlier-style artwork and more adult-oriented humor, and Peanuts became part of my DNA, if you will, through the many happy hours I spent perusing those books and the comics sections of the various newspapers we’d receive over the years. And as for most people who’ve encountered them, the image of Peanuts characters always triggered a happy reaction in me; Peanuts meant fun and pleasure and enjoyment – never unhappiness, frustration or anger. So that, in my opinion, should be true of anything that employs Peanuts imagery, including iPhone games. And so far, for me, this game is living up to that standard. I believe I just completed level 56, so I haven’t gotten as far in it as some people who are complaining of being stopped in their tracks by its difficulty and I’ll have to see what the future holds; I may have to come back and update/downgrade this rating and review. But for now, I am quite enjoying the game. I do encounter levels that seem impossible to beat; my approach is to play them until I’m out of “hearts“ and can’t play anymore without purchasing something, at which point I simply stop playing until my “hearts“ replenish (they replenish quickly in this game), and come back to continue then. As with many puzzle games of this type, the game seems to be programmed to draw you back into it after you’ve been away for some hours or a day by letting you win a level almost as soon as you start playing again, and that’s how I tend to get past those roadblock levels I’ve encountered so far. Then I just play until I’m out of “hearts” again...rinse and repeat. If at any point this approach stops working for me or I encounter any other gripes I don’t know how to get around, I’ll come back and say so here. But for now, I’m really enjoying the game, as one should be able to with anything identified with Peanuts..Version: 1.03.00
