✓ Really want to love itSo I’ve been a tales of fan for years and I’ve always loved the story/gameplay. Rays kinda sucked so I was hesitant on this but it’s very good. Some bugs and annoyances but not bad. Only thing the makes me angry though is arena awards. I hate PvP and I’m a avid mobile gamer. I’ve played hundreds of mobile games and this is the first one I’ve played that you have to try super hard to get weekly rewards. Most games as long as you join the minimum you’ll get something (if you want more do more etc) but this game you have to do you 5 max wait a few hours then do it again. It’s annoying..Version: 1.0.2

✓ Tales lives!Now I don’t normally write reviews but I really want this game to succeed so here I am This game is amazing and you can tell a lot of time was put into development and design. Mystic art animations are short and sweet like always to the point where you are excited to watch them over and over again. The story really wraps you in with its first chapter that it makes me excited for the future of the game. ✓ Could use better graphicsI’m going to be upfront— not a fan of the graphics. It doesn’t look polished but rather murky. The tabs the indicate who’s turn it is— is an extreme turn off. ✓ Great game but friend system needs a workThis is a very enjoyable game with a pretty good story so far. I enjoy the gameplay and honestly the graphics aren’t too bad for me. My only issues is that the chat doesn’t work for me and the friend system auto accepts random friend requests. I dislike the limit on how many friends you can remove (5 per day) and with the auto accepts, my friend list gets clustered of players who stopped playing the game. I’ll have to wait the next day to unfriend them because of the very unnecessary limit..Version: 1.0.1
✓ Love the game but....So I have been playing this game for over a month and absolutely love it. From the detailed and in-depth story and side stories to the various characters. Leveling and ascension takes time but Is worth it. As a free to play only without spending money, this game is worth your time Though I do have one issue. I have reached chapter 4 and once I tried to start the chapter the game crashes and continues to do so for a couple days now. ✓ Why I did Not give this app 5 stars ⭐️✨✨✨✨🌟 i.e coming from a real savage tales fan who doesn’t play mobile games often 💎 Attacks are limited and can’t be rolled to other outcomes I.e you can’t upgrade Genis Sage’s ‘Fireball’ into an ‘Eruption’ or a ‘Flame Lance’ etc. Nor can you change it to a ‘Grave’ or a ‘Thunder Arrow’ 💎 game mechanics are pretty sweeet but it’s repetitive luckily there is a skip button ⏭ and a Fast forward button too I haven’t done 1 v 1 with any friends or anything so not sure it even exists but arena combat is sick if it wasn’t my next points 💎 characters are limited to maybe 4 of each in every tales game and they can’t be upgraded past a certain point, you’ll have to pray and hope they have your favorite Characters a good move set, but guess what they didn’t. Wow! Are you kidding me Jamco? You gave Genis Sage ‘fireball’ and ‘force field’ & somehow you expect me to be grateful? 💎 The story gets REAAAALLY repetitive with the theme. ✓ Great GameSo far I’m enjoying playing the game. The story is interesting, the gameplay is easy to understand and the gacha mechanism isn’t unfair. The chats are are pretty buggy but it would make sense since the server just opened and many people are joining the game at the same time. The music is great and the animations are beautiful. ✓ This is awesomeCrestoria is a final fantasy plus gacha game minus the open world. What’s good about this one is that, one, it’s well animated and is in mostly 3D, unlike games like fate zero. Second, they put actual work in the game’s storyline, and it’s really easy to pick up on lore that isn’t obvious places, like the game mechanics. Third, they actually incorporate the mechanics into lore, like how the arte’s are said to be taught or learnt through a mentor or battles. Fourth, they have a support system were there are two back-up fighter and depending on the two you pick, they will have a small conversation after a story mode battle. Fifth, and this is important, they don’t give out the rare stuff very often compared to other games and if you get a below sr item you won’t get a character so you don’t get characters like candy in a Halloween basket..Version: 1.0.1

If you are a Tales Of fan you’ll really appreciate all the subtle nuisances that go into the scenes and system of this game. I’ve played nearly every Tales Of game starting with Symphonia being my first. I’m a hardcore fan. This game scratches all those takes of itches you want in a mobile game. Fun combat, you have to actively think about. A creative new story line, with great voice acting (at least in Japanese which is how I play) and memorable new characters. For tales of fans you’ll love how easy it is to get some of your favorite characters from pretty much every game in the franchise! Other nuisances they included which any tales of fan will love: Attachments, cooking meals, post battle banter from characters on your team (just like in a real Tales game), costumes, and new and updated look for some of the older characters! Totally recommend the game for anyone that likes JRPGs in general, or Tales of specifically. It makes it very easy to get into and understand the various systems of the games. ✓ Talesmanian Delight!I just wanna say, even after hearing the ad for the first time, especially being a Tales fan, I had pretty high expectations for the mobile crossover. Refreshingly, I have not been disappointed. I can appreciate the turn based RPG style versus the way Tales is usually played on console. The graphics check out quite dashingly as well, and the fact that it stays true to the rich story base AND connects to the other Tales is just *swoon*. Even having not played every Tale released, I’m thankful to be experiencing this one and definitely accept it as an official inclusion to the series 😍😍😍. ✓ Number 1 Gatcha In 2020 For NAJust spectacular how this games runs, very smooth but also depends on your phone but don’t worry there is an option to lower resolution so your phone doesn’t explode/crash too often. The free pick your hats yet ticket is awesome, it gives you so many choices and each one of them is very different from each other. Story is great and the gatcha rates is Fair. The only thing I’d say is they gotta make is easier how to train our characters. It took me some time to figure it out since it’s not explained in detail what you can do with characters. ✓ Interesting amazing gameThe game grand in a special. The bugs are not worth the trouble to not chance the gameplay. I feel the company in charge of this app is doing there best. Maybe they can come up with the defense play for there is no defense besides having a character or hero. To put a magic spell to protect you. An I do feel that’s not fair. ✓ Like it a lot, but not used to itI like the game more than I thought I was going to, the game has good graphics good combat system, even a good story with great characters, but I really only have to minor issues, or kinda three, the third one is just my preference though, first one, the chat, I can’t even get to the chat, it keeps on not connecting every-time I try it, the second one is really just the fact that you can’t fight while they are doing story dialogue, I can tell what’s happening while I’m in the middle of fighting, and third, almost impossible to get gleamstones, it would take me up to three days just to get one multi summon if it wasn’t for the missions. If you are a lover of the “tales of” series this game is for you. Has every “tales of” series and characters to choose from those series. Still is a gacha game but I found that the drop rates are really good so far. And the best part is the game lets you pick you first “summon” and it can be anyone of the main characters from their respective series. With them being the highest rarity atm. Really fun game and the original story and characters are great too. Give it a shot. For those that aren’t fans or new to the series it’s still a great game to pick up and play. ✓ I Love This & I Usually Hate Gacha GamesThis may come across as close minded, but I tend to avoid any form of mobile gaming. It is never appealed to me and more often than not I see cash grabs. A friend pointed this game out to me and I downloaded it on a whim. Man, I am not only impressed, but entirely blown away. For starters, I’ll put it simple and say that the games reward system is fair. It wants you to play and I have a relatively good team who is fully leveled and I haven’t spent a dollar. I do plan to because the game has given me so much enjoyment, but I am happy with how generous this title is. More importantly, the story here is insanely dark. I have played most tales games and this makes Berseria look like a fairy tale. It focuses on themes like societal power, removing bad people from the world, evidence versus speculation, and much more I won’t ruin. Even if you hate these types of games, the story is worth it alone. It almost bothers me they didn’t use this cast and storyline for a mainline game! It’s THAT good..Version: 1.0.2

✓ I love it but I have some issuesI absolutely adore the tales of games and this one is absolutely amazing but it has a few bugs for example; the game won’t load the chats (world/guild/raid/etc). Then it says it needs to reconnect and freezes every time. But the story line is great and I love that you can get characters from the other tales of games in your summons! ✓ Definitely a cash grabOnly put as 5 stars because that’s all it seems to want to show. TL:DR game is gonna tear your wallet up. After playing this game for a few hours to get a feel of it. Between the story mode, arena, and phantom castle, I can tell this is going to be a major p2w game. I’ve done 5 x10 summons and got one SSR which was a duplicate. Meanwhile in the arena I go up against people with a team of 6 and stand no chance. Which brings me to the other problem. SR characters are barely viable already even early game. In chapter 2 I had a level 30 SR character awakened twice and it was barely able to kill the npc all the while still taking loads of damage and almost dying. I shouldn’t be struggling an hour into the game with two lvl 30+ SSR characters and two over leveled SR characters. Either the npc needs to be rebalanced or the characters need to be severely buffed. It’s insane to be hitting a hard wall an hour in and then have to rack up 2,500 gems to be able to summon with the SLIGHTEST chance at getting a character that could even moderately help me. I know this game is still in its first 24 hours but these problems will need to be addressed or the player base will suffer bad..Version: 1.0.1
✓ Fantastic entry for the Tales series!Hooked on the story. Building your characters is incredibly addicting. 3D models fresh out of the PS3-era of Tales games (every model is at least Zestiria quality). I’ve heard people have had issues with general gameplay on certain phone models but this runs flawlessly on an iPhone 11. However definitely wouldn’t recommend until you’ve gotten acquainted with at least a handful of Tales titles to really appreciate the impressive starting cast of characters..Version: 1.0.1
✓ Fun but has issues...The game is fun and the battle mechanics are simple but effective. However the game has serious connection problems and the “chat” feature in-game is awful. The chat system itself is standard and basic which is fine but the problem is that it takes forever to load up and chat or in most cases doesn’t even work or load up at all due to “connection issues” even though I can run the game on maxed settings and the game will run smooth as butter. ✓ First time tales player, long time gatcha playerFirstly, I think this game is amazing. An awesome story, cool characters and great animation when it comes to some cut scenes. I adore this game and I haven’t put it down since it came out. Secondly, one issue I have is just I wanna have another way to get more gald lol. I love the gald missions but those can be kinda hard sometimes but maybe exchanging gleamstones for a certain amount of gald? I think that would be nice. The game rewards you with gleamstones very often so maybe that could work? Lastly, for those who are getting kinda upset with the gatcha aspect of the game, this is not a p2w game at all. This game CONSTANTLY rewards you. You just have to keep playing and grind to get the things that you’d like. For example, I saved up 2600 gleamstones and I just decided to do a 250 opening. ✓ Great gameThis is a pretty good game not gonna lie. However there are a lot of issues. The first is the chat. One of the beginner quests requires you to post in chat but you can never get it to load. The second is the insane amount of heat it causes my device. The third is the lag after you win a fight. The fourth is the inability to actually play the power up quests to level up heroes and memoria. Keeps saying time is up. THe game is pretty p2w since you need constant duplicates to both awaken heroes AND ascend memorias. There needs to be a better alternative. The arena exchange is great alternative to it but it’s still a crappy one. There’s also no point in grinding in raids if the only reason is to get training books for artes where you’re only able to get 2-3 at a time. You could’ve easily made that into a quest stage like the power ups and gold. The power difference between sr units and ssr is way too huge. Let’s not got into stats of the sr units since it’s a huge wall where it’s near useless even in story mode. The fact that only ssr units can do over limit artes is ridiculous. Not to mention the fact that majority of artes do only less than 20 hits. Yet you give us an achievement where we have to do a 75 hit combo. That’s seriously forcing specific ssr units to be used for that when the drop rate is so low. Please balance sr units and fix the bugs with chat, power up quests, and make raids actually worthwhile..Version: 1.0.1
✓ Best Gacha Yet! 100%First thing, the game is new so there are a couple bugs like the chat not working. But aside from that which will eventually get patched, the game is utterly incredible. The combat is so fluid and fun I have a hard time turning on auto because I want to be controlling the actions. They are super generous with what you get just from playing the game so there is no pressured feelings that you HAVE to spend like in so many other Gachas *cough* Raid *cough*. ✓ Buggy but surprisingly good!Giving it 5* because despite not spending a single penny so far, it has been a surprisingly fun RPG experience. As someone who HATES gacha/mobile games with a passion, this is more than I ever expected from a mobile game. PROS: - Lots of main story and side quests to keep you busy. The story is VERY good by mobile standards, and imo is better than some mainline console “Tales of” games. Dark, interesting themes balanced with humour - Fully voiced main story with great performances and anime cutscenes - You’re not required to spend any money, if you aren’t obsessed with having a perfect party of characters. - Repetitive but good, very catchy OST, better than anything Sakuraba has farted out in the last 5 Tales games. Cons: - Can be VERY buggy and glitchy at times. Freezing, crashes, stuck on loading screens, internet connection dropping despite having a strong WiFi connection. - Returning characters from previous Tales games feel silly and break immersion, as they are dumped into the world with no explanation. It’s obviously done just to justify the gacha element of the game. Their roles in the game can be fun, but the story is so much better when it focuses on the new main cast - (NOT a huge deal for me) turn based gameplay, not action based. There is some strategy involved, but only if you do raids and play on higher difficulties, tbh. - (NOT applicable to me as I’m not paying) For people who do want to pay, the prices are absolutely crazily outrageous. ✓ Great game but, I need helpI like the game so far but I’m having issues with the raid system. The game is quitting on me when I try to confirm my raid results so I stuck not making any of my own. Maybe there doesn’t need to be a confirmation and just have the rewards sent to the gift box I would click on the defeated raid boss and the loading screen would pop up, then it goes to my iPhone home screen and I have to login again. Ever since, I’ve been unable to start the game and absolutely nothing works to fix it. ✓ Love it but there’s a problemI love the style and gameplay but as I get further in, there’s a problem when I finish a quest. When I completed the quest, it shows an error after I defeated all the enemies. I have to exit out the app and reload it every time and my internet connection is fine. Even if it doesn’t take my AP, it’s still very annoying. Even when I try to reload it, the error shows up and I have exit the battle I just won and start over all again. ✓ Great gameI love this series one of my all time favorite. This game is similar to dissidia final fantasy mobile game just better graphics and original story and more enjoyable. The only downfall as of now is the phone gets hot fast while playing this and this is only about a min or two into it and eats the battery fast which I understand due to the graphics but could use work on that. The other issue is the chat system just loads and crashes so cant even do the side mission that it asks of me cuz it doesn't work but other than that loving the story the characters both old and new and the other features. ✓ Great game, but...Overall the game is quite enjoyable. The story is well written and has some good humor. The overall gameplay and graphics are good as well. The only downside is the power up/ gald quests, which are mind numbing because there is no insta complete option once you clear a mission with 3 stars. Instead you are forced to manually replay the same missions you have already cleared over and over to get the items you need to power up your cards. This for me is a big detraction from my overall enjoyment of the game to the point where i get turned off from even picking up the game and playing it, because who wants to sit there and replay the same annoying mission over and over just to get the items they need to boost their toons. ✓ There are no words to describe the quality of this game in EnglishThis game is da best. The graphics must have been structured with Unreal Engine 4 to be so good, like the upcoming Tales of Arise. The story is terrific. My only question is when the nest part of the story is added to the game as I am currently waiting on you guys to deliver. Anyway, thanks for providing such a great Tales game! Bug as of 1.0.4 - I am taken back to the home screen over and over whenever I try to do anything as it tells me a new day has dawned and takes me back to the home screen. It has rendered the game unusable. Please fix this! Thanks I have found a way to fix this bug so this game has made it back into my playables! ✓ It’s...okay.Full disclosure: I’m very much a casual player, coming in as a fan of the Tales series, but having several mobage apps under my belt. I compliment the dev team on keeping the app updated. The notice board feature is something I wish more mobile games had. And it’s a beautiful app to look at, and play. But don’t go in expecting the traditional Tales gameplay experience. The story is classic Tales fodder, and well presented. But if you loved the Linear Motion Battle System, you won’t find it here, it’s just your characters taking turns hitting the other side, and hoping you last long enough for your more powerful moves to recharge. The Arena is pretty standard, though the matchmaking system leaves a lot to be desired. I can go from curbstomping a new team, to being curbstomped by a much higher ranked team, with ‘equal’ matches being rare. Also, and this is personal opinion, I don’t like Kanata as the protagonist. He comes across as bland, especially when you have characters like Yuri, Velvet, or even Senel in the same game. Misella would have been the better choice for a lead. Summons are...well, it’s a gacha, though the turnover can be slow with the attempt to pull in every character that ever showed up in the franchise, and pulling useable characters (aside from Memoria Stones) can be a frustrating experience. And there’s no way to ‘upgrade’ the core characters (you need to pull Kanata in a summons to get his Cursed Bladeshadow, for example) which means that the core characters can become quickly useless depending on the luck of the draw. Overall, it’s a good game, but don’t go in expecting a full Tales game..Version: 1.2.0

✓ Amazing storyDefinitely one of the best phone games ever made and I can’t wait for the next chapter I’m so excited, the game might seem a bit grindy at first for some people but after a while it will settle down it’s just the first few weeks that you have to work hard for it because you are new and you keep leveling up like crazy so your stamina and raid points keep on stacking until you the reach the point where it will slow down alot.Version: 1.0.3

✓ Good game but not worth committing toGreat story, voice acting, graphics, and battle system. The terrible drop rate of items for character progression however make this game not worth it, especially in mid to late game. You can spend a whole day spamming raids but still not get the right amount of items required to power up your characters. The time invested vs progress gained just doesn’t make sense. *Update - due to the implementation of x3 drop and skip functions, the time issue has been somewhat fixed. The drop rate itself is still terrible but at Least the time invested into this game has become worth it.Version: 1.1.3
✓ Personal PreferenceThe game is great. I love the story and the amount of stuff there is to do. I find myself playing it more so over some normal games. The only issue I have with it is the summoning. It’s a wonderful system to use for this kind of game, but when I can spend 10k gleamstones and get nothing for trash, that is pretty demoralizing. I find myself never wanting spend them anymore cause it never seems worth it. Personally I think either some way to gain more gleamstones or ever so slightly downing the price of the 10x’s summon. Or even making the 10x’s more worth it for the amount you spend. Regardless of my personal issue I’m not gonna let it affect how much I love the game or my review..Version: 1.0.3
✓ Good but expensiveWhile the free stones last a little bit most of the gleamstones are way overpriced , especially in the current covid pandemic that is still raging on. Would be better if namco bandai got rid of microtransactions and went back to the console 1 great game, 1 price, any dlc for low prices . You know what i mean. Even though it is a good rpg, it is kinda dark themed, with children being sold for manual labor for boys and girls as sex slaves. Might want to ease up on the dark themes. Also while ill play for a little bit, can you fix the lag in animations between your team and the support characters, sometimes they pause in middle of attack right in front of the monsters. Also the lag time between end of battle and rewards screen is horrible, please get it lowered if you can..Version: 1.0.2
✓ Great Game! 😎❤️Love the story and the intro, the set up is great also, and you earn daily bonuses just by logging in. I love how you can raid with aid besides joining arena. The only thing I wish to change is the power up section from playing and earning the items... is to not have a time limit on it, because of different time zones from other players and myself can miss it and won’t have a chance to play it and earn the items if the time runs out. I think it will make the game more fun that way. It’s not really cash grab. It’s an option to pay or play it for free. The intro did warn players the game is free, but there are features where you choose to pay. I’m sure some players like to not pay and still play. If you choose to pay its really your choice no one force you to pay on any section. Other then that it’s a fun game to play!.Version: 1.0.2
