✓ Good at first, so disappointedI’m a fan of farming games (I ever played Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon, I love both of them). At first when this game come out I really love it because of the characters designing and stories. However when I have a higher farm level I need more items to upgrade the farm and tools but it seem TOO HARD to find the ingredients. I paid for this game a little bit since I want to know that it will be better or not. But the SAME. Lately I’m waiting for them to update more contents (like a marriage functions for all characters or dating spots) but the things that they keep updating are events that you have to spend money for it which actually I don’t need it. NO MORE! And also the most annoying is that you have to watch ads a lot to gain some items. I have to say this game is ruining the farming game that I have ever played so far. Stardew and Harvest just let you pay once but this game keep offer you to pay for costumes or whatever almost of the time. They should use that time to develop the system or more functions to make the game perfect. For this kind of game but a lot of top-up, why not create the MMORPG game instead? ✓ Cute farming sim like Stardew Valley but too many adsI really enjoyed the aesthetic and mechanics of the game - it is very similar to Stardew Valley, but more cute and anime-style. It’s also more guided than Stardew in terms of story progression which means you can jump in anytime after a break but it can be a little restrictive and linear. However the main issue and reason why I’m giving it two stars is because ultimately it’s unplayable as a free-to-play as there are too many ads that pop up RANDOMLY in the middle of the gameplay. It feels very disruptive, which counteracts the cozy atmosphere of the game, and the only way to get rid of them is to pay a subscription :( Paying a sub to get better aesthetics and faster development is understandable but just to get an uninterrupted gameplay experience? I would be very willing to pay a once-off to get rid of the ads, but a subscription is a little too much commitment and I think this is a major oversight..Version: 2.7.3(281)
✓ Great game but kinda disappointed …Found this game to be a lot of fun . Loved the star dew valley game but your game has had a lot more features and challenges to keep it interesting and ongoing. However, even though I’m not many years into it in game years i was very unhappy when seeking a 12 heart connection with one of the characters then the event ended abruptly where only went to the 2nd date and it was over !!!!! Now I’ve done all there is except adding more decorations and buying and selling etc. I do find it crashes a lot while in the game and a day has been wasted because a restart happens… I’ll keep playing and in the event there is no additional features to have dating situation fixed or additional challenges and events I will probably seek out another game similar to start ….Version: 2.3.7
✓ Crashes and loses my progressI want to start by saying this is a really interesting and fun game. I play this on my iPad. I enjoy the quest progress and how it builds up the tools and items you use over time. However, I had this problem a few times before playing, and it’s more apparent and unfortunate now. Sometimes, when I play, the game crashes. It stops completely and exits me out. I go back in, hoping dearly for my progress to still be there, but it brings me back to the last point I saved. I like how I can save anytime, but that doesn’t save me from losing progress. I don’t save every 5 minutes. I save at the end or beginning of the day. One time I got lucky logging back in because I clicked the Game Guide option on the TV, and the game remembered my progress for that one singular time. But every time the game itself crashes, I lose all the progress I made. It’s making the game less fun and more of a hassle..Version: 2.4.8

Money hungry owner, boring game.The knock off stardew valley basically exploited all of concerned Ape’s ideas and now using it to break the pockets of the people who want to freely play. They ran out of ideas so the game is at a complete standstill. They make you pay for everything and update things like: decorations, marrying characters, and new color of seeds. Nothing beneficial. I paid for things and also play for free but if you want to progress in the game it’s not possible. I played the beta version and feel like it was used to see what players would be most likely to pay for. But for players like me who like to grind. Complete quests, mine, and cave dwell you just wander aimlessly. Stick with stardew valley whom they copied. Or try another game until this review is updated. ✓ Automatic controlsIt is an okay game and its pretty cute but the one thing that triggers me is how every time I try to dig an area and face my character to the spot where I want my character to dig so I could plant my crops it would automatically go a random direction and dig a hole somewhere else which triggers me so much every time cause I want the farm to look pretty and not a mess especially how tiring it is to fix the mistakes. Another thing is whenever you are placing a path, when you face your character to the spot where you want them to place the path, it will just mess it up and put it on the left or right instead of the spot on where it is facing. This game is fun and cute but please fix these automatic controls on the character or maybe don’t put any automatic controls on the character at all, so if people want to make their farm look cute and neat and not struggle with having to fix the mistakes constantly..Version: 2.4.9

✓ It’s a cute game but…Okay so if your a fan of harvest moon this is a great game however I have some issues screwdrivers and nail that are used to continue the main story are hard to get hold of and can take ages it needs to be easier. Another issue I have is trying to work out how to find gold ores I only have access to the copper and stone layers which is frustrating because I need gold ores for the main story.Version: 2.3.1

The connection error bug has been happening for DAYS now, and it’s really annoying. I would really like to continue playing this game bc it’s so cute, but I can’t no matter what I try. Restarting my device, the app, deleting and redownloading, updating, removing data, whatever I do it doesn’t work. So for people that want to download this game, I say you should. ✓ Great game, bugs aboundI love this game so much, but the bugs make it really hard to enjoy on mobile. I have to save every single time before I switch to another app, or the game will restart. Sometimes the loading screens get stuck, and the only fix is a restart. Sometimes, I get a notification that my account has been signed into on another device and it kicks me out - I don't even know how that's possible, because I made it yesterday and I didn't even bind it until today. I'm still playing it because it's really such a good game, but it is really frustrating to navigate these bugs. I hope the developers can provide fixes in the future.Version: 2.3.3

✓ Good game but.The thing I have a problem with is not the slow pace of the days and such but the materials and how long it take to simply get just one of those materials, for the monster drops they’re hard to get even on lucky days after the cave is unlocked, stone in the mine is hard to gain after a while, and the main problem I’m having with these quest and buildings is the building materials I have to do orders that takes hours and I barely get anything out of it, and the feature option in the store is random so I could possibly be wasting diamonds for materials I don’t need any time soon, maybe a part of the store could sell materials or something so that we won’t have to wait hours and days to get these important items.Version: 2.2.5

✓ A worse Stardew valleyThis just feels like a worse Stardew valley, the character you play as looks terrible, the only thing you are allowed to do is change skin tone through barley any options, you can’t change the eyes, hair and etc. not only that but you can only sleep at a certain time? I don’t get the point of making people wait until 20:00 for them to sleep, it’s way too easy to get close to people I got 4 hearts for someone after less than a day week. The game relies on gems too much the the point where the coins seem pointless. There are so many payment things?! I’ll click to go somewhere and accidentally click on something wanting me to pay for something because THERE ARE SO MANY OF THEM, I’ll get a red dot telling me to arch a ad and the red dot (notification type thing) won’t go away until I watch a ad. On top of hat I’ll click to go somewhere and the character won’t move! Plus the multiplayer type thing is annoying I could barley find npcs due to the fact over half the characters around the town were players and not npcs. ✓ Glitch? Can’t Find Tom ColeI don’t know if just a temporary issue or if the instructions are unclear or what’s going on, but I’m still in tutorial so time isn’t passing. I’m supposed to bring a book filled with doodles to Tom Cole, my quest brings me to the principal’s house but he is literally nowhere to be found. Like I said time is not passing so I can’t wait for a different time or day to go visit him. My crops aren’t growing so I’m basically stuck at 7:40 am on the first day. ✓ I think my game hates meI love this game. The story is fun and the gameplay is fantastic! I name all of my animals funny names and I ride my horse literally everywhere. Im even going to be able to marry my digital boyfriend soon! But my game kinda hates me. When I first started playing this game it would close out every five to ten minutes. I learned early on how important it is to save. It has been better lately but today it really screwed me over. I had just bought the VIP card for the harvest cup when the game closed out on me. ✓ Too much paid and grammar issuesThe biggest issue is the grammar and spelling errors that throw off the story. It’s hard to get into it when the townsfolk talk like cave people. Might wanna have someone go through and proof read if possible. But focusing on gameplay is next to impossible when I can’t even see half the screen because of all the newsletters for paid items and random gacha spins popping up. An option to shut this off might be a good idea. That way players can focus and see more of their screen. I love the graphics and gameplay mechanics though. ✓ Stardew’s Joja routeIn Stardew Valley, you have to choose whether you will rebuild the community center to help build the community, or if you’ll take the ‘evil’ capitalist ‘Joja Corporation’ route. In stardew, most players naturally steered clear of Joja. In this game however, the Joja route is forced on you. The whole of Harvest Town feels like a greedy cash grab that doesn’t take me to a small town, farming paradise, but it instead constantly takes me to the in-game store where I can spend USD to speed up my in game experience. I wouldn’t mind if there was a one- time-payment “premium” version of the game, but the constant offers, battle pass system, more paid for backpack spaces, and paid for decorations and speed boosts really kill the whole vibe of this kind of game. Monetary greed aside, the quests are mindless and the NPCs are not well translated and feel somewhat flat. Also, there’s too much time per day AND you can’t go to bed till 22:00 (very late in the day). This is an issue because there’s no real pressure to prioritize any particular thing during a day, and you’re likely to run out of energy multiple times per day. TL:DR: In my time on this game, I mostly found myself mindlessly running between quests and closing the store ads. That’s the bad. I do however really like the art style and the controls are intuitive. Unfortunate that this game made some of its decisions, as it had so much potential..Version: 2.6.1

✓ Alternative Stardew Valley.. but ….I love this game and I’m ashamed to say I’ve went to bed a tad too late because I was playing this game. I love the easy farming sim and options to watch ads to increase your fortune without actually spending real money. You can farm, fight monsters, and go on quests. What I dislike is that if you play as a girl, you cannot marry a guy. You have to marry a girl. You can date guys, but not marry them? From their Facebook group it seems like this is a complaint 2 years old so I’m wondering if the creators listen or just make new events to increase engagement and have little motivation to include this. Additionally, since the latest update (~late Dec 2023) there are random popup (skippable) ads that appear. You could be walking around and suddenly they pop up, or just looking in your chest and BAM ad. It’s very disorienting. ✓ It’s just too much.I’ve been playing for 3months(Lv52 right now) but lately I feel like it’s boring and annoying. First of all, there’s too much complicated function like Guild or Swamp. I just want to play cozy farming game, I don’t need that. And since my level got around 40ish, it’s getting harder to get next level. To earn prosperity, I tried to do main quests, but they needed me items that are supposed to be gotten in much higher level. Eventually I had to some daily quests but their prosperity is not that a lot. Also I don’t understand why it does need 3 milks to produce just only 1 butter. So annoying omg I can’t stop complaining. I ended up uninstalling this game. If you want to play something like simple and cozy farming game like me, I highly recommend to play Stardew, it’s way much better..Version: 2.7.6(288)

✓ It’s awesome until..This game is awesome! It reminds me a bit of Stardew Valley but with an asian spin on things. Harvest Town is very fun…until you unlock the Occult Cave. “Drop rates” for important materials in the game, such as heart stones and glue, are ridiculously low. Not only do you need these items for crafting but you need them for quests and the logistics hub. You have to kill 50 enemies before getting a drop from a monster. Forget about crafting bombs to kill the slime since you can’t get glue and heart stones easily. These are common enemies, too. I think an update messed up the drop rates. The luck system is bugged too. If you fish or go into the cave on a SUPER lucky day you don’t see any difference. You still don’t get many drops and you still don’t get treasure chests from fishing, even on a lucky day! If these things were fixed I’d give Harvest Town 5 stars hands down. Keep in mind, You can’t buy these materials from a shop whenever you want to, which is what makes it absurd. Once this is fixed, I will change to 5 stars..Version: 2.2.5
✓ Harvest townHarvest town Prolonged connection error not on my end despite everything I’ve done to see if it was me. It’s not I have to give this a low rating because I suddenly lost access to my game and can’t get in past the login screen. If I regain access to my game, I’ll write a new review with a better rating. Connection error that’s clearly not on my end has been going on since August 10, 2021 and no one happens to be answering support emails either. Come to find out, the last email didn’t go through so apparently they must’ve deactivated their email? I don’t know but I was pretty advanced in the game. I tried uninstalling, reinstalling, restarting my device and my modem, cleaning up all Internet tracks, all to no avail. I still can’t get on! I can never get past the splash screen despite saying I’m logged in. I haven’t broken any rules, I’m on Apple iPad with an iOS operating system. Completely updated. No other app on here has ever given me such trouble. None of my other games have trouble loading, just harvest town. I’ve removed it more than once. Disconnected from Facebook, cleaned up, restarted both modem and device. Nothing. Hopefully someone can do something about this and get me back into my game! ✓ Blatant rip-off of stardew valleyI only ended up playing this game for a few minutes as it was just.. bad the character at the start has such little customisation which was odd. the character you pick has to have dark hair, and the only thing you can choose is the skin tone - of which there are only 3 i play a lot of stardew valley and there’s so much in this game that was taken from stardew and just made worse if you found this game not knowing what stardew valley was i think you should definitely look it up, it’s a much better farming simulator, and it’s more of a sandbox game than this.Version: 2.4.9

One is that there isn’t enough clothing customisation or hairs, and even the ones currently can only be obtained through gems instead of coins. This means that the game is trying to get you to purchase using real money more often. Another thing that is bugging me is how the male protagonist’s eyes are further apart and look ugly, making a male character undesired to play as. ✓ Needs improvementsThis is pretty much a knock-off of a popular game Stardew Valley with the change of being able to make in-app purchases and having to build production buildings to complete orders. It has some advantages (for example selecting a place on a map will automatically take your character to that place or you can get nice vehicles to move around the town) but there are disadvantages that make me wanna stop playing this game - for example when you’re on level 45+ you need A LOT of building materials (in order to get production buildings or decorations that improve productivity) but you don’t get those in big amounts when completing orders. Another thing that really bugs me is that you CANNOT delete, sell or give decorations, clothes, masks or vehicles and therefore, you end up having to put them in chests that clutter your farm. And I even contacted Support team to delete those for me and they replied saying they could not do that 🤯 Lastly, the game’s story doesn’t make sense most of the time - I think the NPCs’ conversations need English proofing..Version: 2.5.0
