Trinity Health MyChart for Negative User Reviews

St Als is the worst at using MyChartSaint Al’s chooses to use its own stream of my chart information. You cannot see any of the other providers that you might have and none of the medication‘s that you have someplace else are able to be seen in Saint Alphonsus/Trinity Health Care‘s instance of my chart. this is very dangerous I have had surgeries canceled because I could not see what the other providers that also use MyChart are doing. I will not use St Als / Trinity Health or their my chart program for any of my future needs. This is dangerous for them to not know what medication I am using when I am planning to have a surgery..Version: 10.7.3

DisappointedWhen did healthcare become so lazy? Want to talk to billing? Send a message and pray you get a response. I sent a message, after calling and being referred to send a message. It’s been over a year and still no response. Lazy! I’m glad I have the sense to talk to my insurance company so they can battle it out. If you aren’t glued to your phone, you miss doctor appointments because no one calls to remind you anymore. Lazy! Your doctor sends you a referral? You have to be glued to your phone and check regularly. Online scheduling is hit or miss. I’m so disappointed with St Joe. I have been going here since I was a child and I’m ready to switch to UofM..Version: 10.1.5

Epic Failure?Having been a spectrum patient in the past moving to Mercy Health and coming back to Spectrum for pain management and spinal care, I find the coordination or linkage with a Hospitals is wholly and totally ineffective not only was the implementation at Mercy and epic failure but information is still incorrect on their system while your system carries information that is outdated and is still calling and giving me reminders for stuff that I don’t even have those doctors anymore. One thing that seems to be pretty effective though as you find a way to rattle on for $20 statement with emails texts and messages in the portal so perhaps I’ll pay the $20 and maybe you’ll get your act together.Version: 9.9.2

I would give 4 stars but…I wish that I had access to my diagnostic images in the portal. Other places are doing this. Since it’s a picture of my body, I feel that I should be able to view the images when I want. Additionally, if you want share information/images with another provider then you have pick up a disk rather than being able to grant access online. Otherwise the app is fine for tracking appointments and basic lab results..Version: 10.7.3

EmailsI used to be able to see when staff read my messages but now that function is not there. It’s very helpful to know if/when a message has been read as it at least shows the sender someone has opened it rather than wondering. It’s especially helpful if the patient needs an answer. Now I have to call the phone nurse to find out it was viewed. It adds more work to the patient and nursing staff. Will you reactivate this function?.Version: 10.1.5

Digital isn’t always the answerI have a situation where the digital process is a mismatch. I have a need to take my PMC doctors referral to the first available specialist, regardless of insurance network because this need is due to an auto accident. If I had a physical referral I can take a piece of paper to any ENT and ask for first available appt. This system is making me wait until an unseen (to me) specialist calls me when available. Because i don’t have to stay in network I should be allowed to take my referral anywhere I choose..Version: 10.1.5

Ok but some flawsThe app is very useful and has streamlined a number of functions that previously were difficult. However there are some flaws such as the inability to add a saved payment option on an iPhone XS because the save button is blocked by the nickname box. Also, using online check in doesn’t work (I checked in and the office didn't know that I had). Also there is no positive confirmation of check in nor a way to see that the check in had been seen. I would suggest having a status indicator that shows the user the steps of a check in, like check in submitted, check in confirmed, nurse received, nurse on the way, etc. that way if the front desk missed it you can see that and call in and not need to wait so long. I think it would also be helpful to have a broader set of subjects when communicating with the medical team. Such as adding prescription refill request, new prescription needed, etc. currently the only option is non-urgent medical question but I bet the docs would appreciate a little more bifurcation of issues..Version: 9.6.3

Follow upMy dad was recently discharged from trinity hospital after he had abdominal surgery. During his stay he was in the ICU for a week the was discharged to Select specialty in trinity hospital. After going home his follow up has been marginal. Trying to contact members of his team that have been involved in his care-his surgeon-has been abysmal. There is only one number to call, no one calls back, no portal messaging. We have not been able to speak to the physician directly by phone, email, or in person. My Chart has not helped with this process. My dad also has orders for CTs. We had no way or information to schedule them-certainly not via My Chart. Again had to call the clinic, get another number and call them to schedule the CT. My Chart is useless as a form of communication. The only thing that it is good for is appointment notification, lab results, and pre check in, but actually trying to get results about concerns such a missing prescription, lab orders, scheduling it is a waste of screen space..Version: 10.7.3

InsanityThe app needs some serious usability enhancements based on fundamental customer use cases. I have spent way too long simply trying to access basic information unsuccessfully. I had to reset password three times. Then told I had opted in for paperless billing and statements which sent me to another web service and required me to sign in again! For a service I didn’t want to access. Now the app has been overtaken by a request for user feedback in the App Store. I still have my found out my doctor info for an imminent appointment. Seriously poor performance..Version: 10.6.3

Nice idea, poorly implementedI love the idea of all your info with the convenience of an app. The problem is that you can’t get access to all your info and communication is very restricted and limited. Example: I have an upcoming surgery and I can see the location and date but nothing about the check in time or even the scheduled time of the surgery. Also there is no one to send a message to in order to get this information. This is just an example. There are a lot of issues. Mostly due to limited availability or lack of support for the app. Ultimately I have to find a phone number and wait forever to reach a person to get answers. The app. Is sort of useless unless your reordering your monthly meds. That is actually convenient. But you can also reorder or the pharmacy app too..Version: 10.1.5

My childrenNow that my children are all over the age of 12 I no longer have access to all of their information. I have called the doctor’s office and they said I as their mother no longer have access to test results or medications that they are on. I asked if I could sign them up for their own portholes and they said no because they are minors. How are we supposed to see any test results or request appointment if I can’t do this through the app? If I have to to call the office, why even use the app? I understand privacy, but they are under 18 and I am responsible for their bills. This is just wrong..Version: 10.1.5

Doesn’t recognize all providersVery frustrated because it would be nice to have a record of my Covid vaccinations. It was hard enough to get them in the first place. Keeping track of the dates and kind of vaccines are important, I hope. My last vaccine was at the Rite Aid in Pinckney. However when I went to enter the name Rite Aid in the search link it wouldn’t accept it, Didn’t recognize it. There is no space for a question regarding tech-support in their myriad of options. In addition, it seems to collect the same information over and over with no obvious purpose..Version: 10.1.5

Sick and tiredIt seemed that my doctor office failed to update most information on this app for the last few years, and every time I try to access the app it seems I have had to change my password but it will not take the new password I put in saying all of my other information which has never changed is incorrect. Certainly not a user-friendly app anymore-or maybe it just discriminates against us old people-glad we will be gone soon and maybe the younger generation will be able to get all the deadweight out of companies that don't treat them well..Version: 10.6.3

Update is unbearableHave you tried to call a doctor’s office recently. Wasted 20 minutes on hold. Well if you already had this app they decided to update it and if you already used it as a patient they were too lazy to transfer your history. But that’s not even the worst of it. They added two step verification which doesn’t recognize you. Yes it’s a guaranteed waste of time. I have to do the pre office visit update and you get a link to go right into your chart and answer all the questions but if you want to have the system allow you to change your password there is no option. Finish the survey, log out and you can’t log back in. Do yourself a favor and call them with two phones till you get what you need. Soooo disappointed..Version: 10.1.5

Good & badI really love the speed with which I get test results and notifications. Oddly, I often get more questionnaires after I’ve already completed one or more. I have a high failure rate at conveying messages to my doctor. I’ll go to messages and write a reply, but it always comes back with a notice that it did not get to my dr. and I have end up having to call, anyway. I love Dr. Jennifer Dulaney and will gladly deal with computer issues as long as I can still be her patient!.Version: 9.9.2
