✓ Keeps freezingI really enjoy the game and find it relaxing. I play on my iPad and maybe it’s just me but it does this thing where it freezes completely. I can’t select anything and I can’t come out of the game. Sometimes it will close out itself, other times I have to close the screen and even then it’s almost like it doesn’t want to come back on. Another minor pet peeve is I’ll have it in landscape then an ad will pop up (which is fine) but it turns the orientation portrait. It’s difficult to turn it back landscape and then with the freezing issue it gets hard to even want to play the game. I hope this is an issue that can be fixed as I really do enjoy the game..Version: 2.21.0
✓ Awkward designThis is one of the most awkwardly designed games I have played. When the colours are greyed out it’s difficult to see what they were and almost forces mistakes, especially when colours are so similar. Also, when I tap on a colour I expect it to give me that colour instead of jumping off the colour and on to the X, again forcing mistakes. ✓ Good game, bad color choicesI love the logic and reasoning part of the game, however some of the colors used are hard to discern. Please put the numbers in black, if you need to fill the box with a lighter color. For example, I lost more lives than I care because the number written in white against a light yellow background are hard to read. I have had the same issue with light pink and white, although yellow and white are probably the worst combo. My other suggestion would be to please allow to magnify a section of the puzzle especially for complex ones. Since the squares are really small, I accidentally went a square ahead than I meant to and lost lives while playing the game from my mobile. Unless, these issues are fixed, I’ll probably take a break from this game as trying to read the numbers against a light background is becoming a sheer torture for my eyes..Version: 1.8.1
✓ Excellent game... butThis is a great game, by far the best Nonogram game on then AppStore, despite this, there are some levels, like level 263 where the colors are so close to the same color that it’s almost impossible to differentiate them. There have been levels in the past that are similar, but level 263, the orange and the red is basically the same color in my eyes, I haven’t been diagnosed with colorblindness, so I believe that isn’t the case. That being said, I think a colorblindness mode could benefit those with serious colorblindness issues, maybe a toggle-able setting that labels the colors 1 through however many colors there are. That’s all I have to say, still a great game!!!.Version: 1.3.0
✓ Good Game, Except…Update: Hard level is no longer available. The other levels are way too boring to keep me interested. I’ll check back to see if this is a bug. If not, I’ll be deleting it. The game is pretty fun for the most part. Unlike other versions, you do have to guess occasionally. The ads started out fine and I occasionally found other games to try from them. You could usually close them if you weren’t interested or already had the game. The ads are becoming overbearing! More and more, they can’t be closed. To make matters worse, some ads are 60 seconds long and sometimes there are two. What developer thinks that if they make us stare at a game for long enough, we’ll download it? It has the opposite effect on me. I figure the game must be terrible if they have to resort to those methods. If the ads get worse, I’ll lower my review to 1 star and delete this game..Version: 3.2.0

✓ Developer creates problems as fast as they fix themThis game has issues. Some, the developer appears to be trying to fix, and some are the result of stupid developer decisions. With updates, they seem to mostly balance each other out. First, kudos for fixing one huge issue: white numbers on light backgrounds. It only took a year, and 40,000 reviews saying the same thing, but at least light box colors now have dark numbers instead. However, the colors are utterly ridiculous. Some levels have two or three shades of a particular color. Or both dark blue and dark black, with very little visual distinction between them. Having three different shades of ‘orange’ and three different shades of red in the same puzzle is infuriating. But the most annoying thing is that a recent update made the selected color switch when the total number of boxes of a particular shade hits the expected number of boxes of that color. Yet there’s no countdown for the color, and this behavior makes it extremely difficult to fix bad boxes, since the color is constantly changing, almost randomly. This behavior change has made the game nearly unplayable. Oh, and the whole idea of the puzzles forming pictures is stupid. Just make puzzles, and stop trying to pretend that a 10x10 or 15x15 bitmap gives a ‘picture.’.Version: 1.9.0
✓ Crashes on ipadThe game itself is good but keeps crashing my iPad down for about 2 minutes or more sometimes. This is most annoying. Doesn’t crash with any other game so must be the game at fault. It Shuts my iPad down completely and have to wait for even longer now for my iPad to restart. I have no other apps running when I play so do not know what the issue is. Please sort this issue as I don’t seem to be the only one it happens to. Spoils an otherwise good game. Don’t want to delete as then I would have to start all over again. Unless deleting for good is the only option bit unfair though as I paid to remove the annoying ads. Come on sort it!!! The issue of crashing is still ongoing. ✓ GlitchyI enjoy this game (though I wish it had harder levels), but after you solve a certain number of puzzles it gets extremely laggy, as other reviewers have noted. I like to do all of the past daily challenges when I get apps by this developer, which in this case is about 900 puzzles. I almost gave up on this challenge because the app was so glitchy. The fun of having relatively easy puzzles is being able to blow through them quickly and get the satisfaction of completing levels, but the game freezing constantly ruins the flow. ✓ Good but needs some improvementPlease make the numbers bigger, it’s so difficult to see numbers when doing larger puzzles, I often can’t tell if it’s a 6 or an 8 or a 5. I’ve seen many other reviews complaining about the same issue & despite the developer having a similar app with just black squares that has a far superior font and font size, the developer response to others has been that they can’t change the font/size at the moment… why not?!… if you can do it on your previous version, you should be able to do it here as well. It’s VERY frustrating and if it doesn’t change soon, I’ll be deleting the app. Also please make a way to select squares and have to confirm it, the squares are small and I often accidentally select an adjacent square when trying to select squares and lose a heart. Or improve the apps ability to know which square we are trying to select, it seems off currently. Other than that, it’s very fun and addicting… in a good way..Version: 3.0.0
✓ Very enjoyable but there’s an issueI’m really enjoying this game. I think it’s the best Nonogram game now for the iPhone. My biggest issue is that after I’ve been playing for a little bit (15-20 min), the app freezes and I can’t tap anything. It takes a min or two to unfreeze and then I can continue. I usually end up putting up with it a time or two and then I quit the app and go to something else. The second thing echoes what multiple reviewers have said. The white text on light colors is incredibly difficult to see and also it’s very hard to tell the difference between the gray and the completed black. And the light gray looks almost white. ✓ Terrific— butThis is a great game apart from the incessant ads. It might be 37 stars to play a puzzle and watching a 30 second ad gives you 3. Hmm. Also I don’t want to play the easy and very easy ones as they are boring, take a second to do and then you have to watch ads to continue. However you can’t advance unless you play many easy ones. And what has happened to the jigsaw pieces? I liked getting a tile after a game. It was fun. So please consider making levels so people can choose the difficulty of the game. Bring back the tiles for each game and reduce the ads. I realise you need to earn money and don’t mind you doing that at all, however be fair . People will get fed up and leave. I’ve watched hundreds of ads and am getting tired of it. Some of the ads play for 30 seconds and then you have to click "done" and then click "close" which takes another 5 seconds so that’s sneaky. I’ve seen the same ad so many times I don’t even watch them anymore and even if I have already downloaded that game I still get ad ad for it time, time and time again. ✓ No option to pick a difficulty levelI love Nonograms, and the black and white version is my favorite mobile game. I have been looking for a good color option and was excited to come across this one by the same developer, I was so disappointed to open it and realize that i cant choose a difficulty level on this one, i don’t even want to play it anymore. Forcing people to do puzzles that are too easy for them takes the fun out of the game. I only like doing hard nonograms, and it’s unfair that i would have to go through so many easy and medium ones just to get to what i downloaded the game for in the first place. It’s SO much easier to read now. One update I do not like, though, is that the colors disappear when you’ve completed them. Only, sometimes you can hit a square on accident or realize a mistake but then you have to click a whole lot of other squares to get the color option back. ✓ Well presented but too many adsI played the first 10 or so levels and the interface is intuitive and well-designed. I liked that the rows and columns greyed out as I completed blocks, and the colour selection automatically changed when there was no other choice. However, the sheer number of ads lets the game down massively. The opening levels only take a few seconds to complete and every one has a lengthy ad after it. ✓ Don’t play until they fix the coloursI couldn’t complete a puzzle because there were 2 greens exactly the same colour. The screenshot that ‘hell’ sent me showed two different greens, this was completely different to my experience. So effectively, they told me the answer and told me to select the other green... they are the same colour. ✓ Great game, latest version breaks UX - againThis is a beautiful puzzle. Yet again, a change that breaks UX through muscle memory. It’s like the developers learned nothing. The toggle you had between color and “X” was already great, why break it? It was so easy switching back and forth from color to cross and now I end up undoing a step. It’s not as critical a break as last time, but still! You guys do great work but you gotta stop ruining UX. Previous Review: The latest version switches the positions of “Continue” and “Restart” options though, and this breaks user experience. Switch the controls back so we don’t have to look out for these kind of unnecessary changes with each update..Version: 2.1.0
✓ Great game, but needs big UX changeI don’t know why I’m going to bother writing this, because the suggestion will go nowhere. I am addicted to the b&w version and decided to give this one a try. It fixes some of the issues from the other, but can be much better. The biggest problem with the game is visibility. It uses rectangles to identify the color, and small white numbers. It’s not terrible with darker colors, but near impossible to read on the yellow and pink. I probably wouldn’t have had the issue when I was younger, but now it’s hard to see the difference between the tiny white 2 and 3 on the yellow background. The font size is much better on the b&w version. Using the larger iPad didn’t help. Would you consider using that larger font, and applying the color to the number instead of having the background? The other issue is it’s hard to tell the difference between the pink rectangle and the washed out (completed) red. There have been many times I thought I completed squares but found out they were pink after attempting to X them out. Now that I’m older these are the type of games I like. I can’t help but believe you are losing a large segment of potential users (and ad revenue) by having these usability issues..Version: 1.6.0
✓ ReplayI have missed some of the challenges due to getting this app late and sickness but doesn’t seem we can replay them to complete the challenges. Also seems constant challenges one after another which is slowly putting me off from the game. There is still no zoom button for the 15x15 grid which means stuff is often mistapped (I use an iPhone 12 so big enough screen). There is no dark mode so it’s just bright constantly. ✓ Love The Game…I love this game, it’s so much fun! I’ve downloaded other similar games and none of them compare. However, I keep running into errors. They offer daily challenges and weekly challenges on top of the actual game levels you can play. I had completed all of the challenges and was up to level 260, and at the end of the month all of my progress was deleted and I was dropped down to level 126. I put in a support ticket and now I’m getting a “failed to load comments” error when I view the responses. I even put in a second ticket about a week later and I can’t view the response. ✓ Time to make it more challengingI enjoy this puzzle but when the pictures are revealed at the end they often look very little like their description. But the most frustrating thing is that when the picture is revealed at the end is it is often more complex and with many more colours than the puzzle requires us to place correctly. ✓ Pros and ConsThe puzzles are pretty decent, and the UI is very intuitive, but if you get far enough (level 70+) the game gets extremely laggy. It is unusual for a simple puzzle game to lag, especially how badly this one does. I am currently at level 140 and I can’t stay on the app for 5 minutes before it freezes and makes my phone overheat. You also cannot select the difficulty of the puzzles that you do, which is quite a bummer in my opinion. If there was a separate set of puzzles with which you could choose the difficulty or if you were just at a different level for all three puzzle difficulties, and the lag issue was fixed, this would be a 5 star puzzle game.Version: 2.12.0

✓ I loved it, but their user experience...Edit: this developer consistently makes updates that are counter-intuitive to the user experience. If you play both the black and white game and the color game, you’ll know that if you leave a puzzle in the middle there is an option to either continue or restart. In the original black and white game, the continue button it on top, and the restart button is on the bottom, while in this game they’ve inexplicably reversed it, so if you play a lot and by muscle memory you’re going to be completely screwed in this game and constantly restarting things you didn’t intend to. It’s IMMENSELY frustrating and not at all necessary. Just another in a series of puzzling decisions that make me wonder who is designing their UX, or if they actually play their own games. This is a great update to the black and white game. The color totally fixes my main issue with their first game (which is that it’s hard to see whether you have the X or the block selected, and clicking on the toggle switches you automatically, even if you wanted the one you were already on). With this one, because it’s color, you select the color and the block type, so it’s much easier to tell, and the toggle function doesn’t automatically switch back and forth. The game is getting really hard and I keep losing my hearts and I’m almost to the end, so I have to watch I billion adds to play. ✓ Good app, without a load of ads, but flawedI really enjoyed playing this application, and the ads were not too intrusive, unless you made a mistake- and that works for me. Mess up, get punished 😊. ✓ READ THE WHOLE THINGWhen I downloaded this game it was really fun and I really liked it. But yesterday I was listening to music in my headphones while playing and then my music paused by itself and then I heard a man say “we have your shipping address” I was so confused and so I stopped playing but today, I played it again (I’m still listening to music in my headphones) and the same thing happened and so yea now I deleted the game because of that.Version: 3.1.0
✓ Too many adsIt feels like you can’t do anything on this game, without seeing an ad. There’s the standard “watch an ad for an extra life” but you also have to watch an ad when you lose and have to restart. You have to watch an ad when you win as well. It’s insane that there’s so many ads in this game. Restrict the ads to just the getting an extra life and I’d change my mind. ✓ Battery heats upNice app, I enjoy these puzzles with old pen n paper so finding an app for the phone is great and addictive, however I find two major problems. Firstly the battery heats up significantly on my iPhone while I am using it whereas all other apps are fine. secondly, the app sticks, Either it doesn’t react to some of my actions on the grid or doesn’t change colour. ✓ Actually fun puzzle game but Ad model kills itI am fighting back against the extremely poor advertising model apps are using that FORCES you in to buying the app if you have some belief you might like it. If any development studio had any belief in their product then they would ease back on it. ONE AD every three puzzles for example rather than the three after every puzzle. Puzzles are fun to play tho on the scheme of what is available out there I don’t recommend paying the $8 I had to to remove ads. ✓ Level-picking and color-blindnessI mostly like this, but I have two big issues with it that make me less interested in playing it: 1. I’d like to be able to choose a difficulty level, just like in the black-and-white app. Having to go through all the levels in a specified order means having to do a lot of levels that are too easy. 2. Some of the colors are very hard for me to visually distinguish from each other. I’m partly red-green color-blind; for me, that mostly manifests as having a hard time distinguishing between colors that don’t have much contrast. So, for example, in today’s puzzle (April 15, 2021), there’s a dark brown and a black that I can’t easily tell apart. So it would be really helpful if you could provide a color-blindness mode that would use strongly contrasting colors, or even patterns instead of (or in addition to) colors..Version: 1.9.0

✓ No control over inappropriate ads!I love this game, and I’m happy to watch ads, but I have to delete this game because there is no control over ads. State of survival is constantly playing. My kids love this game too, and this ad is way to violent for them to watch once let alone over and over. Please make a new update with ad preference options. ✓ No hints per level like original versionThe original game has three hints per level. This one doesn’t, and makes you watch ads for each cheat. The ads are far more frequent and drawn-out. Honestly may just delete. At the end of the tiles in the competition rounds, the original gives you so many hints. This one gives you only a couple. Not worth it..Version: 2.23.0
