✓ Fun game but....Game is awesome except for the chest on the island do not open the button is greyed out. Same as the buttons for the the spin wheel on the boat and videos on the left side of the screen. The buttons are greyed out and not available. Which doesn't seem fair as you're missing out on free coins or pearls..Version: 1.3.5

✓ Advertisements ruin itLook honestly it’s a really good game but it forces you to use internet and then it forces ads for other games using said internet and also constantly tries to sell you its own content via, you guessed it, in game ads. The day they change it to an offline game is the day they get a 5 star rating as it’s deserving of it otherwise..Version: 1.3.8
✓ Compass reads incorrectlyI love this game and find it very relaxing to play, however when navigating the ocean it’s very difficult to understand which way your travelling as the compass point is showing the opposite direction of travel, ie when sailing south east, the needle is pointing south west, and I’m having to open the map to ensure my boat is going the right way for specific places..Version: 1.3.5
✓ Fun little game but a major battery eater!Considering the easy graphics, basic controls and game play, this game will burn 90% of a full battery in 2 hours. Tides is an excellent game with so much to do. The ads were a major problem. Every time I would come back from an island an ad would pop up during the loading screen causing the game to crash so I purchased remove ads and it is totally worth the 6.99. Anything that required an ad to be watched now gets bypassed, i.e double rewards, pet bones, pearls, coin chests and more. That was an awesome surprise. There’s plenty to do with fishing, upgrading your boats, tournaments, quests, challenges and more! The only complaint I have and maybe I’m just not far enough into the game is being to upgrade your fishing pole. Faster casting, longer lines. Maybe lures an option too. But this game itself is 5 stars but the fact I can only play about 2 hours due to the battery drain is why I gave it a 3! There must be something that can be done to help this. To the Devs….Thank you for such a gem of a game but please fix the battery drain and the heating up of the iPad. Thanks! Tight lines y’all!.Version: 1.3.5

✓ It’s OK, but loses its fun factor quicklyA very nice feature of this game is the lack of ads, unless you want them for extra earnings. I’ve had the game for some time, the biggest gripe is the lack of knowledge base and being required to use discord to interact with the developers or a community. It’s not clear how the idle currency production works you’re never given any statistics, you have an 8 hour meter. Once that’s full the characters stop producing, this is fine except their coins per minute rate is only about 20% when the game is closed. I should be making much, much more every 8 hours. It would a simple fix to add a second metric letting you know AFK production. things become exponentially more expensive the more islands you unlock, it’s been several days of saving up and nowhere close given the need to spend on your production upgrades plus saving to buy islands. It becomes very difficult to find treats for your pets and their rewards are meager. It’s an ok game but doesn’t have much of an engagement factor. You fish, which is a bit boring and predictable (two taps), the sailing is kinda relaxing but gets boring after a minute or two..Version: 1.2.14
✓ Crash issueThe game tends to crash with the initial startup after some period of inactivity. The crash happens right as you’re about to collect your “away profits”, and as a result, you restart the app having to wait for the initial (and very quick) startup again, but this time without any “away profits”. This wouldn’t be an issue if I was able to collect on the profits regardless of the app crashing periodically. But the crash for all intensive purposes, erases the “away profits”. I would have given it a higher rating outside of that, but I’m hoping the lower rating gets noticed. I will quickly change this negative review once this issue is resolved. Once again, love the game, hate that I can’t collect on what is essentially the easiest (and best way for someone who works) to collect a profit wile still being able to enjoy the game..Version: 1.3.5
✓ Needs more contentI really want to love this game. It’s beautiful, and the basics are there. But it becomes very boring and repetitive very fast. There are no surprises, everything is very easy to get and the game is over very quickly. It’s a shame because the look of the game is so appealing. But there’s nothing to keep you coming back. Devs, why not add some legendary or mythical fish, for example? I’ve never enjoyed a game so much where I felt absolutely no desire whatsoever to spend money. I’m not dropping real money to buy some bunny ears for my character. Everything that’s possible to get, you get within minutes. And it’s a snooze after that. If you made the game more complex, with much more to gain, you’ll retain players. As it is, it won’t. If everything available in the game is easily attained within minutes it will lead to quick quits, which is such a shame for such a gorgeous and appealing game. ✓ One of the better onesVery cartoony almost babyish graphics and characters but for fishing games that’s out there today it’s a decent game. Would recommend to anyone. Inclusions I’d like to see in the future: More fish. More islands. Rod upgrades and a bait selection. More boats. having the fish spread out through the islands in different water columns would be nice. Deep water fishing and shallow water fishing quests would give a different incentive to the game. With saying that with where the game is in today’s point of view is an easy game to understand and play for all ages..Version: 1.2.3

✓ Good game but comes to point where it takes AGES to progress.Would be better if their wasn’t a huge gap between levels. 7 million gap. Puts you off from playing it. ✓ Fun, but has some drawbacksFirst of all, this is the most fun fishing game I've played. The gameplay and music are very relaxing. I want to keep playing it, but there are some things that make it really hard to stay engaged. The biggest problem is later game progression when fishing assistant cash is arbitrarily capped at around 100k when not actively playing. This makes it really hard to progress when further fishing assistant upgrades (that have no actual benefit because of the cap) start costing 3-4 times that cap and when the next island costs almost 80 times the cap. Fish rewards need to be increased too. Even if I filled all my slots with rare fish (next to impossible; 8 slots for me right now) I'd still only get about 25k, so there's no point in playing the game for any extended length of time. I currently only open the game for a couple seconds a few times a day to get the inactive cash and upgrade assistants if I have enough cash..Version: 1.1.9

✓ Another waste of time due to more ads than playThe game seemed enjoyable for the first 15 minutes. Then all of a sudden anytime you switch islands, cash in fish or generally do anything there is a 30 second ad along with an extra 15 seconds of waiting after the ad just for the "X" to pop up to click out of the ad. Cell phone games need to be played in short bursts but it's hard to do when every decent game out there throws an ad in your face several times a minute. I get it that these ads help with revenue but I guarantee you would have 10 times or more people downloading it if you backed off the ads and limited them to 4 an hour. I must try 10 or more cell phone games a week taking breaks at work and I tend to delete all of them within a few minutes of playing due to ads. ✓ Ok, butTides is a very nice game with quite pleasant graphics, although it’s all a bit simple really. The game feels like fun to play and you’ve got to work out which vessel is the best one to use to catch the fish. Not all the fish on the list appear for just one boat. For certain tasks you’ll need to use the right boat to find and catch the fish you need. The biggest problem with the game is your progress saving. I’ve played this game several times and logged out once I’ve done what I wanted to. When I come to log back in, my progress, upgrades, boats unlocked, fish found and even money and pearls collected has been lower than the last time I played. There seems to be a lag on the saving, but I haven’t worked out how long it is. It could be 5mins, 10mins or even longer. The devs should fix this as it’s quite annoying when you’ve reached a certain level, to then have to repeat it all when you next log in, just because they haven’t made saving automatic when you close the game. I now have to waste some time waiting before closing the game, just to save my progress for the next time I log in. Not ideal for quick, casual gameplay..Version: 1.1.10

Catching the same fish over and over again I am over it boring plus when you go into a island and there is only 7 fish 🐠 come on really. ✓ A shallow coveREALLY beautiful and relaxing title. Love the aesthetics like crazy. Glad to see all the extra stuff like pets, the sanctuary, etc. Love being able to go on foot at any time, but there is no real reason to other than to nab a random collectible. What about inland lagoons and ponds and that can only be accessed by foot?? What about making it worthwhile to actually explore these islands (that means you have to make the islands interesting)? Huge however, however: the core fishing mechanic is SO BORING AND SIMPLE. Catching a fish is a foregone conclusion. You desperately need a mechanic here. An expanding circle you have to tap at the right time, a golf-style slider you have to time right, the chance to scare a fish off if you approach too fast - ANYTHING. God forbid: different lures for different fish types (this is a no-brainer: think of all the currency tricks you can play on us with a lure catalog). The way it is now this game will never get above 3 stars because the core of the entire thing is far too brainless, simple, and boring and no amount of fluff you set up around it will change that. Flesh out the fishing mechanic! Elevate your game out of the nothing ftp crowd and make it something special!.Version: 1.3.8
✓ Monotonous but calmingThe game is good and I get why this game was designed like this, and trust me I really enjoyed it. But after unlocking the fourth island the game turned into more like those type of games that you have to open it a few times a day only collect money so you could move on, yeah I don’t like that, what I liked about the game is the fish info and things like that, I’ve been opening the game everyday just to collect money to open the next island which is 500k, I have 3 assistants at level 35 but to upgrade them to level 36 cost 100k each level just for that so I assume that level 40 would be 500k, so I would never be able to unlock anything at this point for about a month or so, I get only 3 gems if I get them to 50, so the challenge is a little bit unrealistic..Version: 1.2.2
