✓ It’s Good… But it can be BetterI enjoy this game. The career mode is really fun, and so is the GM mode. I’m not to keen with the controls, however. Whenever I try to do a slap shot, the puck just ends up going backwards. And the face offs are just to hard. ✓ Game with a deep season mode but gameplay lacks fun.The game as tremendous depth for a mobile game win it comes to season mode and it’s great! Gameplay wise, however, lacks fun. There’s no real strategy except for just knocking people on their butts, on higher difficulty it’s impossible to maneuver around your opponents, they’ll just check you hard every time they’re remotely close to you, knocking you down and taking the puck. ✓ Way too hardExhibition difficulty shouldn’t put you down 6-0 after 2 periods. Opposing goalie tracks perfectly so only goals are one timers, which can’t be set up with opposing D men playing close. Ability to play as goalie is a fun option (and really the only way for beginner to be competitive)but it is way too easy to put it in your own goal. Lots of stats and options and there’s some depth here. Just the controls and difficulty render it extremely hard to play on what should be easy level..Listener #4315Version: 1.05.1

✓ Has so much potential but…The controls could be better, really feel like some games like hockey would just be better with actual virtual buttons. But my main gripe is with career mode, it’s just built to be annoying. The way you start off so terrible and can only ever so slowly improve, but that’s made nearly impossible by the fact that you start on line 3 and get maybe 30 seconds of playing time per period if you’re lucky. ✓ Controls and mechanics need improvementThe controls are just really unresponsive. They need to be more sensitive, specifically the movement controls. Secondly, the hitting aspect really ruins the fun of offense. The only way to avoid this is to play on difficulty lower than all star, but then the game is too easy to be fun. On all star mode the hitting is just out of control. Try to pass? The second your player gets the puck he’s laid out and they have a breakaway. It doesn’t mimic hockey well. ✓ Not that entertainingIt’s fun when you actually get to play. I enjoy career mode as I like having some goal to accomplish rather then just doing a quick play game however, no matter how good you are you’re out for like 3/4 of every single game. You essentially get to watch the ai play itself. Not fun at all! Sometimes the puck gets stuck almost vibrating on the stick of the affected player while the game just runs through all the time with essentially nothing happening and unable to play and fix it manually since you’re out.( it will sometimes do a face off but not always) Others have mentioned difficulty but honestly just head straight to the goal and pray(I’m on rookie though). I can usually get 1-2 goals a game even with the short play time. Not currently worth buying premium, as I’m not sure it will fix the issue with being out for long periods. Thank god for the fast forward button or I would’ve deleted the game within 15min. Maybe a sim until you play button rather then a fast forward one would make things better?.Zen hoffmanVersion: 1.04

✓ Unplayable due to crashingI was enjoying the season game mode, where you can control the team, however I was experiencing minor crashes when I was doing anything but actually playing in the game. It wasn’t super apparent so I ignored it and finished the regular season, however now I have to look through the season awards in order to progress in the game, and it is literally impossible because it crashes after 20-30 seconds, which isn’t enough time to get through all the player awards. ✓ Looks cool, is boringIt’s got a good retro vibe to it, but I was expecting better controls. They are really bad. The shooting is like a bullet time drag the stick and aim it thing, but it’s clunky and the goalie is amazing. Unless you accidentally bounce it off a defender, you’re not going to score. It’s frustrating and I got bored with it quickly. I guess if you can get used to the controls it would be fun, but I don’t want to bother..Defcon106Version: 1.03.2

✓ Missed the markI’ve played the game for a little while and this is an unbiased review. The game is good but there is so much missing. The game is super zoomed in and when you zoom out it’s like too zoomed out it’s hard to find a comfortable spot. Also I started a manager mode and I couldn’t draft any players the first year cause i had no coins? how do you set up a manager mode but not allow me to do the most fun part. In addition the controls are just funky. To power shoot you have to hold and drag. Seems simple on paper but when you hold and drag you have to put your finger down in order to drag (obviously) and every time you do that it shoots. Also it’s wayyy to easy to check players so bodies are just flying everywhere every time you are on defense even in the harder settings. All in all the game is fun if you like fast paced sports games you’ll like this. If you played their other game like Hoop League you might find this a change of pace in a positive or negative way. Either way I think the plan was their but it missed the mark. I would like to see a different game maybe soccer in the future from this developer..Albert9876543Version: 1.05.2

✓ Great game but fix the career modeBeen playing this game for a few weeks now and I’m absolutely loving it. A hockey game similar to Retro Bowl. However, the career mode must be fixed. I played through one season and the AI is ridiculously dumb. Every time I call for the puck they seem to overpower it and my character cannot control anything. I am always the only person to put anything on the board and I’m still stuck in the third line and in the dying seconds of the game they call me off the ice and they blow the 3 goal lead I’ve put my team up by myself. I thought this was a tactic to get people to buy the full version. I gave in and spent the $5 thinking it’d give me a better experience but no. We’ve already gone 0-3 in the season and I am the only one to currently put anything up for my team. Please fix this and make the experience better for myself and other players. ✓ Wish for some updatesI wish there were some updates to this game. Overall I really enjoy the gameplay but far too often my players, when they go to shoot, are facing the other direction and the shot will go backwards. This shouldn’t even be possible. Given the limitations of essentially two controls—skating with one hand, and shooting/passing with the other—too often I’m trying to skate into a position to shoot and when I do the app thinks I’m trying to shoot backwards. ✓ Retro doesn’t mean poor player controlLook, I love what you’re aiming for. Your intentions are good. But the play control in this game is terrible. Game developers need to understand that just because you’ve created a “retro 8 bit” sports game, doesn’t mean the play control should be crap. What made a NHL or NFL game amazing back in the early 90s WAS its game play, not its graphics. It’s as if you think retro means the gameplay should be sub-par. You’ve complicated things. All you need is a directional control stick and two buttons. Have your developers play the Sega Genesis version of NHL 93 or 94. Then translate that experience to your game. ✓ Feels like dumb luckHonestly this game is pretty fun and super addicting but half the time it just feels like dumb luck. The controls hardly work and passing is close to impossible as well as switching user controlled players on defense. You likely won’t score unless you’re on a breakaway. Besides that the game is super fun however the franchise mode is a little too in depth for me so I wish there was a way to tone down all my responsibilities as an owner so I could focus more on playing the game like retro bowl..Hellooo773738Version: 1.03.2
