✓ Love itFirst stared playing Hoop League cause I like basketball, and got bored one day and found this gem by the same creators. I’m not much of a hockey guy myself, but I was pleasantly surprised by how entertaining this game is. Taking control of a team and rebuilding is really fun, and is my favorite part. A question I have is, can I use pictures from my gallery for team logos, and if I can’t, that would be a really fun feature I think. I think it would also be cool if you could take control of 1 specific player, either created by the user, or already existing, and have them level up a different way, like having set goals per games, such as 2 assists or 5 body checks or something like that..Version: 1.02
✓ Great Game!If you like hockey and creative team management then try this game out. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is there’s not much going on during the season, which makes playing game after game pretty repetitive. It would be cool if teams came to you with trade offers, or if there were other decisions to be made between games. It would also be cool if there was some off-ice things your players could do like charity organizations or something. Another suggestion is to be able to control your AI players play styles. Sometimes you want them to forecheck or back check better but they always do the same thing. Just some ideas! Other than that the game is fun!.Version: 1.03.2
✓ Add and fix more1 Make the defence not stand in one place when the opposing team is coming into your end for example, say one of your players misses a check, giving the opposing player good shot on goal and the other by the to just stand around and if the shooter is a good shooter, they will make it so yeah after rely on the goalie which I hate so please fix that 2 the board glitch in the corner 3 the goalie freezes the puck more if there’s heavy traffic in front and make it an ability for the goaltenders to play the puck and come out of their net if no one’s around them other than your team 4 make visible benches and penalty boxes for us to see in game 5 add more countries to the game like Kenya 🇰🇪 Qatar 🇶🇦 Bhutan 🇧🇹 Belize 🇧🇿 something like that.Version: 1.06

✓ Good but room to improveThis is a very fun game, I enjoy just playing season mode and managing a team, I especially like picking up free agents and then trading them for every draft pick. But one problem is the sim games. They are very inaccurate when I have 4 star offense and defense, it would make me lose to a 2 star offense and defense. It’s just a little frustrating in the playoffs when I just want to go through it quickly. All in all, great game but as always, there is room to improve..Version: 1.05.2
✓ Best Game Mobile Game of All TimeThis game is the best, I play it everyday. There is just one flaw, controller play, there is no place where it says the controls to play with a controller. ✓ Penalties by other team overturning goalsThis is an Amazing game got it when it first debuted on the App Store and have had nothing but fabulous gaming times with it since but I find time and time again when I’m trying to play I’ve had many instances where I’m about to shoot the puck and it has a very good chance of going in but the other team causes any kind of foul and the shot goes in but isn’t a goal any chance you could possibly add a penalty delay feature so the team which the penalty against it has to have possession of the puck to enable the power play for the opposition?.Version: 1.06

✓ SimulationI really enjoy the simulation aspect of this game but get frustrated by it at the same time because I’ll have a team that is the best in the league according to star ratings but I’ll still lose a ton of my games and won’t be able to get passed the first round in the playoffs. ✓ Can we get more than 20 roster spots?I like this game enough to make authentic NHL rosters, draft classes. But often I don’t have enough spots on teams to put the entire IRL roster on, due to stars or core players having been injured, out, and replaced by lesser known players. 9 forwards, 6 Dmen, 2 goalies. 3 benched. I always find myself using all the bench spots for the IRL 4th line forwards and having no spots for the D men reserves. 22 players per team would be great! Lovely game though great concept super fun.Version: 1.06

✓ Very nice game but needs a few additionsFirst off, I would like to say this is a very fast-paced and fun game. But it needs some qol changes. For instance, maybe a way to get icing called. Or maybe making fights happen a little more often not just in quick play, but in season mode too. ✓ AwesomeAmazing game. I highly recommend buying the premium so you can make your own teams and play them against each other. The controls are a bit skewed at times but other than that fun. Sometimes I’ll even make it CPU vs CPU and just sit and watch. Very entertaining.Version: 1.05.2
✓ Favorite ice hockey gameI’ve tried a bunch of different ones, and this is without a doubt the best Ice Hockey game available on iPhone. I especially love all the team names and logos, very creative! I just can’t get the hang of aiming my shots. When I drag my right thumb it seems to always aim away from the goal, no matter which way I drag my thumb. The tutorial section is not very clear on what I’m supposed to do. Honestly this is the only thing keeping me from giving a Five Star review!.Version: 1.05.2
✓ Great game, one suggestion…There needs to be options on the trade screen for adjustments to make a trade work. For example: if you’re at the the roster limit and trading 1 player for 2, it will reject the trade simply because you’ll be over the roster limit. The same applies for salary cap issues. When building that trade you should be able to say I’ll trade x player and cut y player if the other team accepts. Great game otherwise!.Version: 1.05.2
✓ Good GameCan we get something to make being a goalie easier? When shooting you get a slow motion bit to aim but when being a goalie it’s almost impossible to see where they’re going to shoot meaning it’s impossible to save a shot, good game so far apart from that however!.Version: 1.05.2
✓ Could be betterThe game is great but in my career you barely get put in as a rookie, and when you do get put in, it’s only for a very short time. Also, in manager mode it is very confusing whenever a player gets injured, because the auto button that adjusts the line barely works and you can’t simulate until the roster is fixed, even though you can’t do anything about it..Version: 1.05.2

I do like how in the hoop league version, you’re given some career stats upon starting a season, and the deeper character editing is always fun! ✓ Best game on the store !!I play this game every day and can never get tired of it ! Gameplay is smooth and really feels like I’m playing realistic hockey ! The only problems I really have is that the goalies honestly seem to not be able to block some very simple shots and they seem to have 0 chance of ever blocking a shot straight to corner post ! ✓ Amazing Hockey GameThe game had a bit of a touchy start, with semi unresponsive controls and it was hard to understand. After playing for a while the controls got easier, and now with a better tutorial and better controls, the game feels great. It definitely requires strategy during actual gameplay, don’t expect to hop in the game and start scoring easy goals on all difficulties. Also with premium there’s a plethora of things you can do with your league, practically anything you can think of, you can control and insert into your own league. Also, if you’re a fan of retro bowl, this feels like it but with more control over gameplay, you get to play on defense, and much more customization options for your team. Not to mention an actual trade system that feels real. Amazing game, can’t wait to see more!.Version: 1.03

So thrilled to finally something that plays welland includes the level of customization it does. One star removed only because I’m disappointed to see pay-to-win features even in the full mode. ✓ Great gameThis game is good with solid fast paced arcade style gameplay and 90s style graphics and lots of customization. Though there are some things that I would like to see added in the future like more customization options for players such as beards hair accessories similar to that of hoop league tactics and the ability to change things about the arena like seats and stairs. ✓ NHL 90…something Nostalgia MayhemThis game filled an enormous void on the App Store where quality hockey games ceased to exist. It’s definitely a throwback nod to the EA NHL franchise that dominated snes and genesis in the 90’s. It has the same feel when you deliver a devastating check or pull off a one timer. The amount of customizations and the ability to import custom rosters is phenomenal. A lot of thought went into this game. 10/10 hockey game..Version: 1.00

With multiple difficulties, and multiple game modes, the gameplay is pretty smooth and intuitive. ✓ Love this game!I love the amount of customization. i enjoy doing sim leagues and most sports games and just letting everything happen and seeing who wins a title. luckily ice league has quite simply the best hockey game currently on the market. FULL and i mean FULL customization of your franchise from series length to team uniforms to everything. i love the amount of detail they put into this game. i play this more than EA NHL at this point and i love the retro style.Version: 1.05.2
✓ Great game concept (could be used for soccer game)Overall the game is fairly good. I think the touch controls are a little iffy, I personally find the button controls to be a lot more comfortable. I think the amount of customization you can have once you unlock the premium option is great, similar to that of hoop league. I love being able to customize my own league and build different teams and players. I personally am not that even big of hockey fan but this game made me enjoy it. The overall concept of this game would work great with futbol (soccer) game. Could use a similar format but of course tweak it to were it matches that of a futbol game. ✓ Flawed but rather funControls can be unresponsive, ai can be impossible to stop but the gameplay is very enjoyable, I find it a little challenging to make shots sometimes but by my 12th game I got 18 in one game. However when I can’t do the actions I want it causes me to lose matches I shouldn’t have. I can’t seem to check my opponent after awhile and it is very irritating. ✓ Almost PerfectThis is a great game. You have endless customization possibilities and the gameplay is fun. But AI is little odd with my own defenders not responding to the CPU with the puck in critical times which leaves which open shots that have mostly resulted in goals. Also the controls are terrible, the button layout doesn’t work and the touch controls are confusing and finicky. If the controls get fixed this game would be 5 Stars. ✓ Best Retro Sports GameI’ve played pretty much all of the popular retro sports games, and none come close to the depth available in this. The trade system is the only truly fleshed out one I have seen in this genre, with practically as much freedom as you would expect from a AAA sports game; the contract system is well done; players have more attributes than many similar games and tons of archetypes. I do not consider myself a hockey fan, even some of the terminology was new to me, but this game is just made with so much care that it sucked me in. The gameplay itself is not perfect — other players on your team mostly just stand around when you have the puck, I think the mechanic of aiming your shot could be improved (like increasing the length of the arrow for players with a better shooting rating), and I think there are way too many options to use coins on in the Staff page, especially with how expensive each of them are (a full season’s worth of coins will afford you a little rest). I also think adding in small random elements that affect players’ mood would add a lot to the game. Overall, though, it is clear that this game is much, much closer to being perfect than any other retro sports game right now. All of the suggestions I have would only add more polish than anything — there is nothing that I feel like is truly missing from the game..Version: 1.06

✓ Fun game but some bugs/fixes neededI enjoy the game. Fun way to have a career type mode on mobile. A couple bugs or fixes are needed though. First, there’s a bug that your player doesn’t skate immediately after some face offs unless you release your control and then restart your direction. This means even if you win some face offs, your player won’t move before getting hit and lose the puck. Second, penalties need to be delayed. The amount of times I score but it’s called back because I was hut from behind before the puck entered the net is frustrating. I do love the drafting and developing and such. ✓ Must Play for Hockey FansThis game is a really good experience. The graphics are cute, retro, and simple; they make you feel like you’re playing NHL 95 on mobile, which is always a good thing. The features are really in-depth; the customization, although limited, is still really deep for such an old-school looking game. The team and player customization includes player names, age, position, nationality, and ratings; and that’s not even all of it! I haven’t tried the franchise mode, as I’m still editing the league, but I feel like there is a lot of depth there, too. If you want an ice hockey game with depth and gameplay, as well as deep customization (well, deep for its simplicity), this retro-inspired game is a must play for fans of the sport..Version: 1.04

✓ One of the best games I’ve ever downloadedA lot of great aspects to this game. The team building from season to season. The draft and free agency process. Setting the years and dollar value of contracts for players. The ability to dictate the number of games in a season and salary cap amount. Once you get familiar with the controls and challenging difficulty levels, the gameplay is engaging. I’ve been playing this for a year and still enjoy it a lot. I do have a few suggestions for improvement, most of which revolve around the AI. - too often the CPU teams mismanage their cap space by making unrealistic signings, which limits their roster and dilutes the competition - sometimes it’s too easy to fleece the CPU in a trade (3.5 star player for the #1 overall pick?) - contract extensions for your own players before their current contract expires In general, the AI is good enough. I really enjoy playing this game on a daily basis. But it could be better. In some respects, the shortcomings of the AI allow the game fall into the “too easy to manipulate and dominate” range. But with a bit more improvement, the AI could make the game just challenging enough to make it realistic and take it from its already great level to even higher levels..Version: 1.05.2
