✓ Adverts make game unplayableThe game is good, and being free I’m totally happy to have adverts - but an advert after every single round, that require several taps to get rid of, with time delays and hard to find close buttons, make this an extremely frustrating experience. ✓ BoringStrategy of the computer is to knock as soon as it has a deadwood count of 8 or less. So, you just need to reduce your own deadwood, wait for the game to knock and get your undercut bonus. Game can almost never do a gin because of its strategy and it doesn’t change as you face “stronger” opponents. ✓ The constant ads ruin itI downloaded this game yesterday and have been a bit booked. Problem is - between every single hand you have ads! And some are hard to get rid of, some play music with no warning, and they are all different lengths! I understand the reason they have ads but why on earth is there no option to pay to get rid of them?? It’s spoiling my enjoyment of the game, to the extent I will probably end up deleting the game soon unless there is option given to me to get rid of the adverts. Would give more stars if not for ads. UPDATE- I deleted app, constant ads between every hand is unacceptable. I found another game that is free that doesn’t have any ads. Between games might be okay but between each deal is ridiculous. Ruins the whole experience and I find the developers response to be lacking, doesn’t matter how long or short the ads are, you spend more time looking at ads than you do playing. ✓ Freezing upThe Game is very addictive. I hate that it takes my runs if I accidentally touch it because it freezes up on me. Also, I can tell when I’m going to lose because it starts to go in slow motion. And then it makes my phone freeze. It also takes cards that I don’t even touch. ✓ PoorAds after EVERY SINGLE ROUND. Some of these ads are misleading and hitting the X transfers you to the App Store. This has been reported to the Advertising Standars Authority. Game play is really rubbish. At gold level The bots will be dealt hands where they only need to draw 2 or 3 times to get gin or a deadwood score of like 3, while in the meantime you’ll consistently be dealt hands with anywhere between 50 and 70+ deadwood with maybe a couple of pairs to work with. All in all it’s a terrible pathetically developed game that exists only to force annoying and misleading ads on to its users. Avoid this if you’re looking for a decent rummy game because this is NOT it. You’ll hear from the ASA In due course. Citizens advice have already confirmed to me that these ads are bad practice before I made the complaint to the ASA.Version: 1.0.2

✓ Great Game ...........BUTAds are insane. It says they last no longer than 5 seconds but that isn’t correct.some are hard to get out of at all and have to reset the whole app to get out. Deals are most certainly not random. You will find you typically have play out 10 cards to get a hand where you can “declare” BUT, you opponent (the computer) regularly only plays one or two cards and declares their hand smashing you time after time after time. Because of the nature of Gin Rummy you have no control by luck or skill when the deck is ‘stacked’ against you before you even start. I have noticed on two occasions my opponent picked up a card, did not reject it but when their hand was declared that the card was not in the declared hand. That’s not possible....................... so great presentation but not really random deals are they..Version: 1.0.0
✓ Too many ads and horrible chance balanceThe sheer volume of ads is the main reason for deleting this app. It lasted a week. There are just too many ads after such short hands. When you realize that the cost per ad is the goal here, it really limits a positive gameplay experience. Speaking of gameplay, there are instances where opponents win in two plays far too often or get Gin very quick. Having played this with actual people IRL the probability of that happening as often as it does with this game is very low yet in this game opponents win in very few rounds. Seeing the goal of this game is to drive ad revenue over balanced gameplay or even a less ad driven game experience, I doubt any of it will be fixed therefore I choose to delete this game. One hand, and then an ad—you can never get the satisfaction of playing a game all the way through without seeing a minimum of 10 ads. ✓ Frustrated - Grrr!!!I really enjoy the game. I have been playing for a few weeks now and, notwithstanding the frequent adverts and 2 or 3 hand thrashing from my opponent when I’m on the brink of winning, all was well. My problem is with the screen hanging up which usually happens on an advert. This is massively annoying and deflating at the same time. I’m generally in the middle of a game so can’t complete it and I’m fed up of resetting my iPhone just for this App when it happens again and again. ✓ Great game, too many advertsA great immersive game that is fun to play, but the continual adverts just destroys the gameplay. The adverts are laborious in needing to wait on each screen and to go through four of them before returning to the gin rummy. The adverts are also so repetitive and just waste time. ✓ Reviews don’t matterMany have said the ads are obnoxious. I downloaded the app anyways and yes, they are so ridiculous that it completely ruins the game. Many have even offered to pay for the app if you’d lose the ads. If you’re going to ask for reviews then you may want to listen to them. Granted, playing and winning at gin rummy in general is just a lot of luck mixed with a small sprinkling of "skill", but this version is definitely "rigged". Playing against the computer, it "allows" you to win every other game (round) and lose every other game (round), regardless of how well you play all of them. I started to notice this peculiar 'on-again-off-again' "pattern" to my wins and losses, even when using the exact same strategies in every round, and then I easily concluded that the game is actually programmed to be like that. ✓ I just deleted this game.I had enjoyed this game, even though I had to see lots of ads. BUT: Today I had three right wing propaganda ads, full of lies, twisted facts, and deception and scare tactics. I will not support any game or developers that run such ads. So I deleted it and will make sure never to get anything from this developer. It had been a respite from the horrible news from the Supreme Court about states not being able to regulate who and where guns are carried - this right after the slaughter of innocent children in school. Disgusting. And one of the ads was a deceptive, radical anti- abortion ad, right after the six radical Catholics imposed their religion on the rest of us (about 70%) who do not agree with them and want to be able to plan our families and have children when we are prepared to take proper care of them. ✓ Great game if you enjoy losing the more you progressUpdate: so I wrote the below review and I was ok with the loss ratio but the higher I go, the more I lose. And the 90% win rate the computer has in 3 hands or less is now about 99%. The 10 second ads are longer than my hands. And judging by their responses in other reviews, it’s not a valid problem for them but here’s a tip - if a lot of your complaints are about the same thing, then it’s obviously an issue, whether you want to believe it is or not. The fact that play time is about 25% and ads 75% is crazy. Really disappointed. Original: First, I really enjoy playing games by Mobilityware - I have 5 that I regularly rotate through. They all have the same type of ads after each hand/round but they’re short and easily skipped and really aren’t an issue in the other games. I love this game; my problem is that the computer wins 90% of the games in 3 hands or less. I win 0% of the games in 3 hands or less. It’s extremely unbalanced. Several times, I’ve been at 95-99 points while the computer is at zero and yet somehow the computer manages to win. It’s incredibly frustrating - and it makes me feel like it’s just a way to quickly cycle through more ads because the rounds are so short. ✓ PoorThe game has a good concept. However the game play is not really up to par. While playing, the computer opponents always know when they get below 10, never trying to get a gin. I don’t mind watching ads between games since I don’t look at them. But the ads all change orientation during, they flip upside down. ✓ Ads between every round??I lost my original Mobilityware Rummy app (which I loved) on the recent Apple IOS upgrade and had to look for a new version. It’s much more fussy, too much going on, rather than the enjoyable card game I was used to. I could overlook that, but ads now happen between every round and completely ruin the flow of the game. ✓ Almost but not quite…Most of the The games I play most are Mobility ware games… But I recently started playing Gin Rummy and Spades with “on-line opponents “. I wonder if they are as frustrated as I am? I don’t mind ads but some of the ads actually crash the game and some will volley the players back and forth from x’s to apps. I’ve been stuck lately with Royal Match ads that can last up to 2-3 minutes just volleying back and forth. I wouldn’t mind paying a yearly or monthly fee for ad free games. Perhaps advertisers are paying higher prices for longer exposure however I’d rather play somewhere else where game ads aren’t playing with people who consistently FAIL..Version: 1.1.0.1038

✓ Some corrections necessaryAlthough I am enjoying the game, there are a couple of things that I think need to be addressed. Sometimes the math done by the game is wrong. The occasion I remember most clearly is when one of us knocked. The math was 7-1=7. This is not the only occasion that the sum was incorrect. Another area I think needs to be addressed is the criteria used to move up to the next level. I’m not yet good at this game and have won very few rounds. ✓ RNGThe game has many great aspects and overall is a great time waster. However, I have one major problem with it that is just too big to overlook. I am fairly certain that the card drawing is not true RNG, especially the higher rank you get. The AI players will get the EXACT cards they need, every time, and gin within like two-three draws. After this happens about 50 times in a row it becomes hard to believe that the drawing is random. ✓ Fun game, but the rules are not well explained.I caught onto the basics fairly quickly, but the rules don’t explain several things about the scoring and gameplay. Example, the rules don’t explain that at the end of each hand any leftovers in your deadwood can go onto your opponent’s meld to lessen your own deadwood once he knocks. ✓ Ok, but is it rigged?Several reviewers here suggest that the game is rigged and initially I was skeptical. But now that I have advanced higher, I consistently get weak hands and the computer frequently knocks after one or two draws. But what makes me really suspicious is that in the beginning of a round all you draw is face cards and tens. A few eights and nines mixed in, but never anything less than a five. I also don’t like the way that you have no control over how your cards are grouped and the computer sometimes makes dubious decisions about which arrangement is best. Thank you for your thoughtful reply and I understand that the ad revenue enables you to produce these games, yet I assure, remove the ads, and enable the users to make a one time purchase or even a reasonable subscription model and you would do far better.
