✓ Exactly the same as into the dead 2.When I saw this in the Netflix app I was so excited to see and play the game and have lots of fun. When I started played I was confused band questioned myself, did I download the wrong game? No. The storyline is same and so are the levels, this is a rip off why download this game when you can just get the second version. I played all the other Netflix games and I loved them. Netflix I’m dissatisfied, you just stole a game but added Netflix to the name..Version: 1.0.1

✓ Great app. Worth a Netflix subscription.I love this game. Play it daily. I love that with a Netflix subscription, I get free unlimited play. My only issue is as follows, and it’s a technical issue, the app doesn’t seem to maintain a constant connection to the servers and I therefore can’t play events. I have to restart the app each time. All this while being connected to WI-FI or great cell service. Additionally, my daily events don’t reset and it shows that I have progress in the events. I can’t earn more rewards. It seems many people have this issue. When you fix the app I’ll give a 6th star! 😉 Update: it’s been weeks with no update or fix… I think all of us users are waiting patiently..Version: 1.0

✓ Good game but….I love this game. I’ve played previous versions and think this Netflix version has a great way to unlock weapons and mods that were very expensive in the original. One problem though - on the recent K1 STRYKER event it seemed to think I’d unlocked all rewards for the event before I even played it so I received no rewards when I completed it. I don’t know whether this glitch is specific to this version or due to how I’d unlocked most weapons in previous versions. Please make this great game perfect and fix this so dedicated players and lovers of the game will be able to unlock all weapons they have earned..Version: 1.0
✓ Amazing game. Netflix ruins itSo I have one device. I have my Netflix account that works just fine. When I switch over for my daughter to play it will let her play the story and the Daily with rewards. She can play event BUT can not get any rewards, the new gun or companions and will not register her overall score. It’s pretty frustrating. Sat online with Netflix support for an hour and they never resolved the problem except to tell me to buy a new device to play on. Isn’t the point of Netflix having multiple profiles for one account ?.Version: 1.0.1

✓ No iAP A Move In The Right DirectionI’m really enjoying the wave of companies buying up or licensing popular games and removing all the ads and in app purchases, this not only makes the game more fun but less frustrating. I never bothered to play Into The Dead 2 prior to Netflix rereleasing it as it was riddled with pay walls. I’ve sank several hours into the game in just the first week and have been really gripped by the side stories and been enjoying the game in general and will continue to play however the game is not without it’s bugs… Which is weird for a game thats been out for so long already… Firstly, every now and then you will fall through the map. This happened to me during an event mission and so I lost points in that mission which you do not get to retry. Secondly, there is a critical bug that makes some events completely impossible to complete. For some reason when you load in to the event the event weapon is missing. This means you are losing 40x points per kill and makes it impossible to acquire the event weapon since you literally can not gain enough points. I have restarted the game and sometimes it fixes the issue, other times it does not which is baffling..Version: 1.0

✓ Nicely DoneEdit: A few weeks after I wrote this the game started to refuse to log into the server for up to 15 minutes every single time I launched it. For someone trying to collect everything from the limited time events this is a massive pain. I thought this warranted a review and I even went to the bother of writing down some numbers to illustrate my point. The easiest way to describe this game is as an on-rails shooter, but that’s not quite accurate. The primary gameplay involves running and gunning through zombie infested locations, but rather than being a strictly linear path, you can also run diagonally to the left and right, giving each stage some room for exploration. You don’t aim per se, your gun will generally target the nearest enemy in front of you, so the gameplay is primarily about ammo management and timing. This turns out to be surprisingly deep and challenging in later stages though, and it’s an excellent format for bite-sized sessions. Which brings me to the numbers: The main campaign features 60 stages, each with four optional objectives and each stage is bookended with a voice-acted narrative. Complete every objective in a chapter and you’ll unlock elite versions of every stage. To tackle those objectives you’ve got 52 different weapons, each one unique. Each one is upgradable and has multiple ammo types. Most have unlockable skins and some have secondary functions. Then you have 11 upgradable companions, multiple dogs, a pair of tigers, some wolves and even a bear. These also behave differently and you can give them all names. Outside of the campaign there are 8 side stories that unlock cool stuff and have their own contained narratives (many of which I enjoyed more than the main story) and little gameplay twists. You can unlock even more stuff with daily challenges, two day events and, eventually, two day pro events. My point is that this game takes a fairly simple concept and really does everything possible with it. It really feels like a labour of love. My understanding is that it started out as a freemium title, and I may have felt differently about it in that context, but the Netflix version that isn’t trying to make any extra money out of you is an absolute treat. If this was a premium title I’d bought for a one time price I’d have been very happy with it. TLDR; absolutely worth a punt if it sounds like your kind of thing. Loads of content. Just don’t expect the mechanics to be like an FPS..Version: 2.01.0

✓ BugsCan’t get 5 stars for chapter 2, mission 8; specifically the kill 10 running zombies task. I can only kill 9. I’ve tried this mission over 20 times; same result. Also if I play all missions of a regular or pro event after I compete the final mission of each event my score gets wiped and then I don’t get any event rewards..Version: 1.0.1
✓ I lost my progressSo the game is great and having a Netflix account means I don’t have to put money into it but just the time which I was fine doing be side it felt like I got more for playing the game and going for all the stars and I was passed chapter three when I stepped away to take a break but the problem arose when I got back on the game and logged into my Netflix account it put me right at the tutorial and reset all my progress as if I never played it so this is more or less just about the progress not being properly saved and me having to restart from the beginning because of it which tbh I’ll probably take my chance with the pay to win version if that’s how this app is gonna work cuz if I lose my progress a second time then that’ll be a waste of my time. But yeah great gameplay and story telling and weapons and events and I’m excited for the third game coming out in the future!.Version: 2.05.0
✓ Repetitive and uninterestingStory-wise, this is a game that tells you something interesting will happen soon, and when that time comes, it tells you something interesting will happen soon. Gameplay-wise, this is a game about waiting for something interesting to happen and watching some numbers on a stats screen go up. Tips on the loading screen tell you to conserve your ammo, but unlocking more powerful weapons requires you to kill as many zombies as you can and conserving your ammo has no actual gameplay benefit. Zombies phase through barriers that you’re supposed to dodge like trees and cars, which sometimes makes dodging them impossible. Not worth your time..Version: 1.0.1

✓ It’s Good! But One Problem.The regular and pro event do not always reset. Instead of two days I have to wait four days. This puts me off playing as I’m looking for gold to upgrade my weapons. ✓ Controller issuesGame is fun but buttons when using a ps3 controller are all messed up. It says “press r1 to fire” but it’s actually up or down on the dpad for some reason. Then it says “press triangle to swap weapons” but that’s actually not mapped to any button lol. Left joystick surprisingly controls players movement left and right, only other button is right on dpad, which throws a grenade. Don’t understand why you went through the trouble of showing what buttons to press on a controller during the tutorial stages but didn’t think to actually map those inputs to those buttons.
