✓ BUGGYWhile the game is fun to play, the timing on this app is off. Sometimes a 2 hour reward box will take 4 hours, during that extra 2 hours you can’t watch ads for the free bonuses. Speaking of the ads, there are many buggy ones (Looking at you, Puzzles & Survival) that won’t let you exit out of them no matter how long you wait, making you have to lose out on the reward (sometimes 4 hours worth of earnings that you’re trying to double) to get it off your screen. The Doctor Who aspect of this game makes it the perfect idle game for nerds, but these app issues really drag the quality of the game down..Version: 1.5.5
✓ Lame! Not at all what I was hoping for.I thought, “awesome! A Doctor Who game! Finally. I have to try it out!” And then I did. It didn’t last long. Game play is stupid. Just click away and click away and click away and that’s it… just clicking. Stupid and boring. The only kind of saving graces is that the game has a story line which includes, I would assume, all of doctors (I only got to the second before I was bored out of my mind) The story line writing isn’t bad though (kept it from a 1*). Game naturally centers around the most recent Doctor and companion. And the writing for her is just as bad as that series writing has been. Then it appears to being on the David Tennant version (smart since it’s the most popular of all time). Can’t figure the companion though. K9 also makes an early appearance and appears often. It does seem like the writers are proper fans as the character writing is pretty darn close to each character’s personality… at least as far as I got. So, keep the story arch and writing and completely change the nature of the gameplay to something at least as interesting and moderately as intelligent and the game could be good. ✓ Mini gameThere is a mini game you have to do to “stabilize the tardis “. I have tried to play it and it fails to start properly every time. It shows the tardis console and a sonic screwdriver to one side and nothing else. And nothing works.Version: 1.9.1

Ultimately pointless as you can’t ultimately move forward if you’re not willing to spend money on micro transactions. Max three weeks until you get to the end even with spending $50. Only has essentially three levels/stories plus side quests. Gameplay is a waste of some very deep source material. Even watching an hour of ads will not move you ahead. ✓ Boring and unbalanced compared to their other gamesI’ve played the other games by this company and this one is sadly the least enjoyable. I like Doctor Who but the pacing in this one is very dull, and it seems I can never buy the building cards in the shop, only the character cards, so it is virtually impossible to upgrade the later buildings. I’m at the end of a 3 day event and I have zero cards for the last building… This seems like a design oversight and it makes some of the goals near-impossible to complete. They have made it so only the top 20 players each week an unlock the rewards, which means only those with the deepest pockets can win. I don’t want to buy winning. ✓ Cool references, decent gameplayIt’s a fun game to play if you are familiar with classic who and new who. The storyline isn’t making much sense for me yet, and I’m in episode 20. I’m not sure if it’s purposeful or not at this point. Additionally, from what I understand, the game is fairly new, so it has bugs, which is expected, but they usually resolve after a few days. As an idle game, I’ve been enjoying it. It’s easy to make progress without buying any of the packs for “help”. Most of the time, it takes less than a day to collect the things I need to move forward in the game. Overall a pleasant gameplay experience but it definitely requires some patience..Version: 1.3
✓ Obsessive money hungry buggyJust about everything that is wrong with ftp games. It requires your attention ALL the time to progress, and not when you want to play. It is designed to force you to spend money. The ads are out of control with some of them being over a minute and forcing you to click multiple times to get out of the ad, and it’s buggy. I just upgraded a building, and now 30 minutes later, it took my “gems” I needed to upgrade it, but reverted the building back to the lower level. It’s sad something as beloved as Dr Who has stooped to so a level as this, when they could have increased their audience with a strategic investment on customer happiness. However the game is boring and repetitive the events are pretty much always exactly the same thing and I’ve never managed to complete one. The ads are tedious and there are lots of them if you want to achieve anything or you have to pay for packs which again don’t let you achieve much. ✓ Tired of ads, needs mini games.After a few levels into the game you hit a very slow climb. If you want to make any progress in this game at any sort of decent speed, you have to either spend money or watch many ads. It’s not entirely necessary to watch ads, but if you don’t you kinda feel like you’re not getting anywhere in the game. There’s constant ads for materials, production speed, and doubling your income every time you open the game. And you pretty much double those ads for any events that are in the game. And you never know if you’re going to get a quick ad or an ad that’s 45+ seconds and then requires you to interact with it to get back to the game. ✓ Lost All Progress TwiceI was enjoying this for the brief time it was working. Nice attention to Doctor Who lore and something to pass a few minutes while in a lunch break. Gameplay leans too heavily on predatory practises such as loot boxes or pressuring you into watching ads. If you go without you will not make much beyond a snail-paced progress which is vital for the time limited events. I personally could deal with that though. However, twice now, at different points in the game, I have lost all my progress because the game has got stuck downloading updates forcing me to delete the app and re-install. Now Im not too happy because I was making decent headway into the recent special event which doesn't have enough time left to even make it as far as I once did. ✓ DissapointedWas really excited after seeing an ad but the game is nothing like the ad, which showed you choosing a doctor and two companions and going on quests while the game is just an idle where you level things up, deceptive and frustrating. The game is boring and there is too much text to read, it’s more of an idle game than an active play game. They also shove the microtransactions down your throat with pop ups, tasks involving buying and notifs you can’t get rid of until you buy and a million different “watch an ad to get a reward” popups. The events are also really overwhelming and expensive (with in game currency) and off putting. Everything is geared around “spend money to progress,” the content is gatekept through ridiculous artificial limits. Whilst it looks like an idle/incremental game, there’s no prestige mechanic, there’s no way to re-roll quests, there’s no consistency between chapters. There are weekly “events,” which may or may not provide benefit to the core game - time will tell on that. If not, it’s rather a pointless waste of time! Hopefully the developers will check their greed and rebalance some of the gameplay. I have played this studios game for the Lower Decks and the events had little stories and was thematically appropriate with the holodeck. Usually games have a little more challenge before they start asking for cash investment but nope not this one it hits you up for money within the first 5 min of game play, it even has the in game character do it. ✓ Storylines are fun but….The storylines are fun but the special events are annoying! They are either super easy to earn all the rewards or impossible. The one happening as I write this is one of the 3 day impossible ones. One of the tasks is to upgrade the diner but it’s been 2 days since I activated the diner and I haven’t received a single diner card to upgrade it. The only way possible to finish the task is to spend really money. I am not opposed to spending real money on a game but it shouldn’t be the only way you can finish something. ✓ No landscape supportThe advert that tempted me to give this game a try suggested it would be playable in landscape mode…sadly it isn’t. My iPad is permanently attached to a keyboard so playing portrait locked game’s doesn’t work for me. It it feels as though the game was a little misrepresented. ✓ IssuesIt freezes every time I want to enter the event, I have to restart the app. When upgrading buildings, it doesn’t give you the option to upgrade it until next level, just 1 or max, which is disappointing, all other games of this type gives you that option. ✓ Love the game, but it quickly became unplayable.I got to the 6th chapter and mostly cleared the event, when the app told me I needed to download a 588 on update. When doing so, it says it timed out and needed to reconnect, and proceeds to download the update again. It’s stuck in a cycle of trying to re-download the update that can’t be download because I’m not connected to the server even though it literally let me play the first few levels. ✓ It’s ok…The game does have the potential to be a 5-star game. However as it currently stands the app just feels rushed, unfinished and a quick cash-grab. There’s small spelling mistakes, issues with the waypoint multipliers and the events being impossible to complete unless you spend ridiculous amounts of money on in-app purchases. ✓ Decent time passerIt’s a good game to pass the time because you can also leave it to be idle and come back to move forward. It can take a while to upgrade some of the waypoints and I’m not sure if my waypoints is broken because I know I have enough cards but it thinks I don’t. ✓ Unoriginal cut and paste ad riddled money grabOn the surface this game markets itself as this interesting doctor who adventure which is heavily story driven. The truth is that it is a recycled game exactly the same as games such as trailer park boys idle, Cheech and Chong, and several other generic themed games. You have to watch ads for a timed bonus, watch ads for free in game currency required to upgrade and progress the game at such a slow pace it becomes boring very quickly. Occasionally after watching the three ads for 12 hours of double energy production,the game randomly resets back to zero five minutes later forcing you to watch three more ads, but if you are enticed to speed things up, you can spend money for gems to fast track waiting for stuff. But the pay to win approach is empty and unsatisfying.you don’t get much for your money and quickly end up in a boring waiting game again. This painfully boring, frustrating and a horrible waste of time offering nothing in return. The developers should feel ashamed for releasing this garbage. ✓ The game changedWhen this game started really enjoyed it. The events were great and worked well didn’t always hit the end target but didn’t mind. What I do mind is halfway through an event that I had spent hours working on they decide to change the goal post and put me further back then I was with no hope of finishing ever! This was a game my whole family pays but recently the events don’t seem to be working at all well. You have to reload the games numerous times to get any characters to buy, the timer seems to countdown what ever number it wants, to the kablam boxes start with what ever time they feel like that names but a few!! And most importantly half way through an event because they had made it a little easier ( their mistake) and looks like most players would finish an event they change the goal post with no hope whatsoever to finish this event. Well this was the final straw that’s 4 players in my house you have lost!!!! You can’t change the goal post and put players two or three levels further back when they have spent gems on getting where they were..Version: 1.5.5

Far, far away.Beyond my original review of sound cutting out and repeating itself that fixed itself (either through an update or turning off sound & music in settings) and the horrid overall UI design. ✓ Repetitive and BoringWas excited for a game with my favourite Sci-Fi peeps. Been stuck on level 7 for 2 weeks as the ‘mini game’ (read tap the screen as fast as you can for 5 secs) is frozen. There have been multiple ‘mini downloads’ on the start screen, sporadic at best, story screens, need more energy, documents, eggs? Watch an ad, the character card distribution is skewed heavily towards the lower return. Trying to force you to spend real money. And I’m convinced that there are times when the game is idle the energy collected is nowhere near what it’s supposed to be. I predict that the top three on the leaderboards are bots. As 4 hours after the events start they are on a score that I’m not even halfway towards with a third of the event left. The game is getting deleted. It’s very slow paced, and you Come to hit a progression wall within about 10 minutes of first booting up the game, meaning I’m coming back once every 8~ hours and clicking 10 things then closing it. ✓ Update issuesI enjoy this game lots and have been on it constantly over the past week but as of yesterday it doesn’t let me update the game. Every time I complete the update it tells me of a connection error but my wifi is perfect. I’ve tried it on mobile data but still the same response. ✓ A good game but unreliable with in-app purchasesI actually really enjoy this game and have played it since it’s launch. It can be a bit slow at times but I find it quite relaxing. However, a massive problem with this game is that there are regular glitches, especially in events, and far too often, you are charged for in-app stuff that isn’t given, and the support team either ignore any help tickets submitted or tell you to apply for a refund through Apple, which is always rejected. So far, I’ve had £50 basically stolen from me by this game and would never trust any of the “offers” now. ✓ Almost ThereVery similar to the Lower Decks game. Not bad. Nice to get an idle game for Doctor Who. Some mechanics seem clunky. Like having a skip button during box awards rather than tapping through. This is probably because I’ve played Lower Decks so long and it’s not like this is a direct skin. Some animations seem to take longer than they should. Doesn’t quite feel like the stories are in the voices of the characters. I can’t quite picture them saying the things they say in the story sequences. The different waypoints, and awards seem very over animated. Almost distracting. I’ll try it out for a bit. ✓ Ads that are too long and paywalled eventsI understand that you guys have to make money, so having to watch some ads is expected, but it’s absolutely ridiculous that all these ads are around a minute long. And when they’re finally done playing, you have to wait another 5-10 seconds for the store page to pop up and then hope the x registers you trying to close it, which it doesn’t in most cases, so you just keep going back to the store page. That’s frustrating enough to make me consider deleting it, but the nail in the coffin , they run events that require you to pay real world money in order to complete them. ✓ EntertainingIts a neat game with a fun story, although sometimes its a bit hard to tell whats going in because it switches between settings and doctors a lot. The gameplay is ok but it’d be nice if there were more free ways to earn henoch matter than watching ads. I’ve spent the majority of my time on this game watching ads and its getting kinda annoying. ✓ Idle DoctorIt’s an idle game, not really any gameplay other than the occasional tap on the screen to upgrade a character or location. Like most idle games you basically turn off your brain and wait for time to pass. Advertisements are way too long and way too many, and the rewards you get are really not enough. You’ll most likely find yourself watching 4 minutes of advertisements and then having 20 seconds of gameplay. Everything needs to be rebalanced to increase gameplay and lower time spent watching the same ads again and again for very little rewards. It allowed me to do the sonic screwdriver mini game but then loaded a blank world without any businesses (or time zones), just the characters standing and no dialogue. ✓ AdvertsWell, if I wanted my youngster to see adverts about sexually abusive relationships… One spends far more time with adverts than playing and I’ve seen so many that have very disturbing messages. If the play is going to rely on costly add-ons - some of which are essential - or adverts then the game developers need to be more careful about the type of adverts that appear. I am sure I’ll be told it’s down to the App Store but a game aimed at “Doctor Who” fans - and RTD says he’s always thinking about how to ensure the programme attracts the eight year olds - a game with that young a target audience needs to make sure there are not adverts for - women to get makeovers so that a cheating or bullying boyfriend loves them again - racy stories about Alphas and their betas and the controlling nature of the relationship.
