I bought a smart light set up from a company with its own brand name and App. When I went to searches for it in the app store, this app showed up at the top of my search result (did not see it was sponsored search result). After opening it it immediately went to the subscription options and one of them was "Lifetime" for $49. I went for it with apple pay before realizing this was not the actual app for my light manufacturer. I contacted their support through the app twice and still haven't heard in days. I will have to dispute the charge with my bank. Oh and I did try the app features and connecting to my new lights. It did show as successfully connected but none of the color or scene changes worked...In summary, this was a total scam. Took my money, no response from support and the app features don't even work. ✓ Terrible application - AVOIDUNLIKE GOVEE’s app this one tracks and collects your private and personal data I own a few Govee lights - some came with my house and I wanted a ‘warm white’ lamp so went for that brand again. Their IPhone app is pretty good. I wondered if there was an iPad app which is how I stumbled onto this one. Bear in mind the Govee app is free, supports a massive range of features, has zero adverts (the correct number of adverts one should see, world) AND NO USER TRACKING. Whereas THIS APP is tracking and collecting your private user data, they keep nagging you with some weird as hell paid subscription service when you want to try changing the colours of your lights. That’s just pathetic. Why are they trying to get repeated monthly payments from us just to change the colours of our lights? Why is their app incredibly limited. When it asks to add a light, you select the option to add Phillips and it takes you to a screen that has a big button for you to subscribe or in tiny words underneath continue to limited version.
