✓ FlawlessBeen using this app for a while now. I've tried 3 or 4 other sudoku apps on the store, but this is far and away the best. If you have any interest in sudoku at all, this is the one to get. It's a great learning tool.. I think I started on intricate, and thanks to the lessons, I'm now doing pretty well on devious. Endless games, even offline, and cleverly separated by difficulty of technique you need to solve it. After much thought, the only improvement suggestion I could think of was to add colour coding tools. The app is basically flawless. Congrats to the developer. ✓ A real joySudoku joy is like it's name - a real joy to play. I never use anything else. It has everything you could ask for. Perhaps the best feature is that you can enter your own puzzle and play it. ✓ SENSATIONAL AND BRILLIANTThe best mobile app by far. I virtually downloaded all the sudoku mobile apps in the market and deleted them one by one to keep this one. It also competes well with the fully fledged desktop programs. The only marginal improvement that can be added to this app is the possibility to position the candidates within a cell. For instance place the candidates on the corners of the cell or at the middle of the cell. The ideal would the ability to place individual candidates in a cell left center or right. This option will help determine whether the candidates placed in a cell are the only possibilities or if there are other possibilities. But all in all THE BEST MOBILE APP IN THE MARKET so far. I keep downloading news apps but none is a match. I can talk about the superiority of this app all day long: the choice of fonts, the coloring, the ability to enter one’s own puzzle etc etc..Version: 5.2.7

✓ IT LETS YOU COLORI downloaded 17 apps to find one that would let me color squares. It can’t be that hard of a function to implement, right? Anyways, thank the lord. Two note though (if you still update this app: 1-you should make it easier for people to know how to color. I had to go all the way into settings just to find the option, which I didn’t find on my first download of the app. Google had to help me on that one 2-if recommend advertising that you can color with this app, I’m sure you’ll get some extra traction from more advance sudoku players looking to color. The numbers are big and the good thing is that when you insert the incorrect number it comes up in red so you know you've stuffed up. You can get into settings and organise it to suit your method of play. You can have yourself timed if that's what you want or switch this function off. It praises you when you solve the game and even rewards you with a nice little message of congratulations when you do better than you have done before. ✓ The Best App.Ok, I’m gonna be honest. I got this app because I was looking for a sudoku app and this one looked like some 2014core ancient outdated app. I thought it would be funny. To my surprise, this app was excellent in every way. The ads are super unobtrusive, and all content is available for free. Before playing this app, I didn’t really care about sudoku. This app generates such a nuanced degree of difficulties that I was able to start with what I could handle, and slowly step up to higher and higher difficulties. There is a “learn” tab at the bottom that I highly recommend you check out. It gives strategies for every situation, and it explains them simply. It also offers to generate a game that will have that exact situation, for you to practice. There are many customization options, but I didn’t even bother to look through them because the default settings are perfect. The only change I made was enabling the “coloring” tab on the bottom right. I have no qualms with this app. At least as far as games go, this is a flawless app. This is the best app I have ever seen..Version: 5.2.7

✓ Great for Beginners & ProsThis app teaches you sudoku also. I highly recommend the tutorials. They have taught me so much. The game is great after you get to higher levels of play also. I’ve tried many different apps and always return to this one. The ads are unobtrusive with absolutely no pop-ups. They have a lot of difficulty levels so you are not jumping straight from easy to hard. When you get stuck you can get a hint and have the app teach you the logic behind the hint. For the more difficult levels I love it that the app can fill in your pencil marks. I especially like the link to Sudopedia, for advanced techniques, Sudoku theory, and the mathematics of the game. (Main menu > Learn > Other Resources > Sudopedia.) Unfortunately, it crashes all the time on iOS 14.0.1 on my iPhone Xr. It just drops me out of the app, and doesn’t save the game. ✓ Fantastic AppI bought a different Sudoku app some months ago and it was terrible, too hard to use and just so small on the screen. I thought Sudoku and iPhone just didn't work. Thankfully I downloaded the free version of Sudoku Joy and then upgraded to the full version (when I finally realized there was one)!! This is just a great app. I gives good hints (tells you what to look for), tells you if the board is still solveable (effectively telling you if you've made a mistake), fills in pencilmarks if you want them, allows you to email the puzzle to friends, steps you through hints and allows you to practice the many solving techniques it teaches you and has a full tutorial feature. I find it very easy to use once you get the hang of how it works (which is very intuitive)and easy to read. There are some useful options as well. If you like sudoku this is a fantastic app and now the only sudoku I play. I've had no problem with it crashing and the full version is well worth it in my opinion. Well done and thanks..Version: 0

✓ My favorite Sudoku appWhen I first started learning Sudoku, i installed 4 apps on my phone, this one is the only one left, even after removing the other three and adding two others. I love the training mode, and how each difficulty adds new skills to learn. I have been trying the most difficult ones in the newspaper, and appreciate the hint system, which starts by telling you which area to look, then each successive hint gives slightly more detail and, if needed, a full explanation. ✓ Even though the ads rarely bother me......I’m going to upgrade to the paid version. I simply want to support the developer. I’ve tried many Sudoku apps but this is by far my favorite. The hints are given in stages so I don’t have to give in completely when I’m stuck. I’m only a so-so solver but am enjoying learning more complex techniques. I love the “Only the Hard Moves” style where I can focus more on the techniques and not have such long gaps between them. I just hope that the lack of recent updates is a sign that they haven’t been needed. So far, so good. I haven’t hit any glitches. ✓ Best sudoku app EVER!!I play sudoku a lot and I have tried most of the sudoku apps. This is by far and away the best sudoku app ever. If u like sudoku you gotta have this app As well as many levels (and there are actually difficulty levels which are genuinely hard unlike most apps), there is also a training guide which allows you to learn many techniques. These guides are comprehensive and start with simple methods and work through to the expert techniques. Within the game you can use the hint which will actually talk you through the hint so that you can understand why you can use that particular method and because it is named you can explore the training aids to learn it more fully and then test yourself using samples. This app also offers different ways of playing sudoku - such as hints / no hints, changing figures representing the digits, plus a version which replicates pen and paper i.e: no automated help. I haven't yet found a killer sudoku version of the app offered by these guys but hopefully they will release one soon. Definitely the best, most thorough sudoku app I have ever played.
