✓ Shows promiseI can only assume all the 5 star ratings are from friends if the developer. I'd probably give it a 2 but I've dropped that to 1 to even the score a bit. it's certainly not a 5 star game by any stretch if the immagination, and it's overpriced. the game is still rough around the edges, it lacks any real structure and the tracks are too short. it needs a co-pilot if some kind, like the arrows in powerdrive. with some work this could be a good game. I actually like the way the car handles and the style of the graphics..Version: 0

✓ Hard to masterIt's pretty easy to pick up and play, but it's really, really hard to drive the car. It just doesn't feel right. Sometimes I'd turn too much or expect to slide around the corner. It's not really what I imagine. Also the isometric view kind of makes it a bit hard to process. I think a over-head view would be a superior gaming experience..Version: 1.1.1

✓ Somewhat entertaining, but unpolishedThis is a retro styled homage to games like RC Pro Am from the NES days, and has an authentic 8-bit style difficulty level. The graphics are pretty repetetive but have a nice 8-bit charm to them. The sound though, is a terrible missed opportunity. I assume lack of budget or staff forced the devloper to include nothing but basic sound effects. This is a shame as 8-bit inspired music has worked very well in other retro styled games lately. Worse, the controls are fiddly and largely frustrating. Perhaps a tilt option would help, or at least a sensativity control..Version: 0

✓ Ok bur horrible musicThe game's OK. The controls aren't too hard and the levels are challenging but the MUSIC?! every time you die and start again, so does the music, so you keep getting the same really irritating intro of a song over and over! When you turn off the sound it feels like something's missing and when you turn it on you can't bear the music! I've turned off the music now but I thought I'd let you know anyway. Overall it's reasonable but not worth £1.19!.Version: 0

✓ Not enough.I got this on free app day but even then I had to delete it. The controls are as all the people say is awful. I think the worst part is that you blow up after hardly touching anything and you can fall off the track. And after you finish a track the "next race" button should be on the right. ✓ Annoying controls ruining great conceptIts such a cool looking game. Retro styled graphics with nice little touches like when the car crashes and parts fly off. Speaking of which, you will be doing a lot of crashing. I am not sure why the controls are so vague. Its hard to drive the car where you want to without multiple steering correction. I know its meant to be a rally game, but it just feels very inaccurate. Please developers, have a look at the handling of the car. It feels like it needs more subtlety!.Version: 0
✓ Not worth $1.99*sigh* I want to like this game, but it's nearly impossible to play as the contols are just awful. Seriously. Terrible. Loading is waaaaaaaay slow too, and the sound is subpar. ✓ This is a classic style game. Very fun for short play. A little difficult. Not for kids.I like this classic game style and perspective. The game remembers which track you left off on, you don't have to start from the beginning every time you start the game up. It's difficult to maneuver and I wouldn't recommend it for younger kids under 10. But, then again, it's been a long time since I was 10..Version: 0
✓ Cubed Rally RacerGreat retro game, but the controls were difficult to get the hang of. The game would have fared much better if there was more forgiveness with the controls as they are very sensitive. Also, the car crashes on impact, no matter how slight. It might help users' learning curve to allow the car to have the occasional bump and nick rather than getting demolished at the slightest hit; additionally, the reset and subsequent meddlesome countdown at every restart prevents a quicker reset from happening for re-engagement back into the game. I just wished the devs updated the game since September 2010. This game would probably have some long-standing buzz if tweaks were made. But, at free (as of the time of this post), it's still worth a shot....Version: 1.1.1
✓ Finicky controls!There are no guardrails, and your car goes flying out of control easily, so it means you wind up going super slow. I hope you like the first 20 seconds of the music track too, because it starts over when you start a new race...which is often. With something to keep cars on the track, this game could have been fun. As it is, it almost feels less like racing and more like super monkey ball..Version: 0

✓ Could be great game if controls weren't pantsSo, I imagine the game developer had a discussion like this: Dev 1: "Hey, the iPhone is known for great user interface" Dev 2: "Yeah, we need to do something about that" Dev 1: "We should make the controls so bad that the game is almost unplayable" Dev 2: "Yeah, that sounds like a great idea, it will really annoy customers!" What on earth were the devs smoking when they came up with these dreadful controls? Suggestion: Either replace the left/right buttons with a joystick or allow direction control via device tilting. You know, like in all the other games that have really good controls. And why not allow touch anywhere on screen to accelerate, rather than a little foot pedal? Please kick the controls in to shape, I see vast numbers of previous reviews mentioning how seriously bad they are and yet game dev seems to not be remotely bothered about customer feedback and ignores continued requests to improve them. My current rating: It could be a good game but with current controls don't even bother downloading, it's a shipment of fail..Version: 0
✓ Redline is betterJared, Your other Redline game is totally fun and visually delightful. However, this game is kind of disappointing. The vehicle response is clumsy, the graphics seem fuzzy, and the tracks aren't as fun. It's just not as good as Redline..Version: 1.2
