Train Conductor 2: USA for Negative User Reviews

Could be BetterIt's a good game, but it could be so much better. I like the variations also yet there could have been much more you could work with.. Considering the price though I guess I can look past the lack of a full screen and iPhone graphics There should definitely be an HD version of this for the iPad..Version: 0

2 starIt is often too difficult to concentrate on where you're sending the trains. I got the first train conductor game, and really enjoyed it, so decided to get this one because I'd unlocked all the levels. On the first one, you could play each city in both day and night, whereas in this game it's already set whether its day or night. There appear to be few levels, less, as far as I am aware, than the first game. Buy that one is my advice..Version: 2.6

Ads are annoying!!Paid app. WHY THEN. Do I have to wade through a annoyingly STUPID BARRAGE of ridiculous new game ads!? So ridiculous!!.Version: 3.8

Paid game full of adsPaid + ads = 1 star.Version: 3.8

Need fixingThis game is a great game if it would work for more than 5 minutes as soon as I go to the map to select a level and push on it the game crashes and your back at your desktop screen Would give 5 stars but needs to be fixed before it gets 5.Version: 0

Ads?I still can’t believe I’m seeing ads in a PAID game, I spent $5 to still get ads? And then the app developer is like “if you don’t continue the round you won’t see the ads” um? Really? Again, I PAID for this app, I shouldn’t be seeing ads at all. Not happy at all..Version: 3.8

Sorry but ........I have to agree with other reviewers on this one - this game is a huge dissapointment on the first game and has crashed/quit to iphone screen several times for no reason. The whole playability enjoyment seems to have gone too. I agree - the night rides are not as much fun and what the devs have done is tried to be too different from the original and changed too much whereas a few different tracks etc would have done the job imo. Sorry guys but only 3 stars from me - 5 pending though if you tweek it back. A great shame.Version: 0

I paid for this gameI paid for this game. The new update put ads in it. It was a favorite game until now. Reccomend no buy until fixed.Version: 3.8

Good game, too many adsThis is a really fun game, but too many ads deters me from playing it..Version: 3.8

Really? ... REALLY?What prevented these developers from putting the entire screen real estate of the iPad to use? Honestly, the black letterboxing (can you even call it that?) just looks horrid. And I desperately hope they're working on the graphics, because aside from the decent 3D rendering of trains, the 2D graphics everywhere else are a pixelated, ugly, blurry mess. Enough about what needs fixing, though. The gameplay in this app is phenomenal! I'm totally addicted to this, and I just cannot put my iPad down because of it. It's challenging enough to keep you coming back for more, but easy enough so you don't feel like it's a hopeless cause. Can't wait to show it off to my friends! 1/5 stars for graphics, and 4/5 stars for impeccable (but a tad short) gameplay, even out to an overall 3/5 stars from this guy. :).Version: 0

Not as good as firstFirst of all it keeps crashing which is annoying! I don't like the way you level up on this version I preferred the first one I also think it's better to have a place that has both a day and night version rather than some being day and some being night although if there are updates that add new levels I will change my mind :) where are the achievements on this version too? Overall it's ok but get the first one if you don't already have it!.Version: 0

It's alright but...Not as challenging as the original one, plus I can't get the Grand Canyon level to load up at all, it just crashes. It doesn't have the 'must keep playing' draw as the original. Update: had to totally uninstall the original buggy one for this one to load the levels properly. Just a thought about the scoring system compared to the original - it doesn't make you replay the difficult levels so you can unlock the rest of the levels just by sorting the pink and blue ghosts in Vegas. The original level scoring was much better..Version: 0

TerribleNot one bit better than their previous train conductor. Ads in a paid game!!!!!.Version: 3.8

Ads ruin itLoved the earlier version. Ads ruin this..Version: 3.8

Oh dearI've updated it to fix the bug & it still crashes. I am unable to play this game as it crashes every time on start of new york. Well after another reboot I can now play new york, but if I try to go back to the 2 previous levels it crashes instantly. What a croc of crap. Avoid it like the plague. For the first time ever I want my money back. Stick to the free version it's 100 times better it never crashes..Version: 0

Paid version still has advertisementsBought this in a bundle for my kid and it still has advertisements. The support link for the developer is a dead link..Version: 3.8

IPad version just scaled up iPhone versionThe iPad version of this app uses what look like the same graphics as the iPhone version - including not using the whole iPad screen. Graphics often look blurry on iPad, while looking good on iPhone..Version: 0

Waste of money - DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!I got 'Train Conductor' (the first one, by the same developers) and it was great, also free! I paid 2:99 for this garbage. The graphics are horrible, looks like it was made using Microsoft Excel.... DO NOT RECOMMEND..Version: 3.8

It's alrightBut I think it's not as good as what people are saying, and it crashes a fair bit..Version: 0

From Premium to Ad-supportedI will never trust these guys again....Version: 3.8

Fun but..It's a fun game and I really enjoyed the first one which is why I bought it but it's sooo short, I finished it faster than the first one. Wish they had more levels. Also I liked the aspect that you had to build the train tracks to get to the next level on the first one but they didn't really bring that into this one, not the same way at least..Version: 3.5

Lags on iPad 3!Lags.Version: 3.5

Not like TC2 EuropeDisappointed after playing TC2 Europe and thinking this would be like it, it's not. The backgrounds and the music are simplistic, the gameplay has an endless run mechanic, there is no track laying mini game. Skip this and get the Europe version..Version: 3.8

Not as good as "Train Conductor"After playing Train Conductor (which is excellent) i was tempted to buy Train Conductor 2 and in short I was very disappointed. While the new levels are varied and very different from one another the scoring and progression system from the first game has been removed completely. It's not longer a race against time to see how many trains you can get through in your shift. You just keep on playing until you crash a train. While this doesn't sound that bad it does get a little repetitive and boring after a while. Also all trains are worth a single point. So you get the same amount of reward to getting a very long train into the correct station than you do with a very small train and you unlock the next level by delivering a certain number of trains (so you unlock the 2nd stage after 200 trains, the next after 600, etc). This coupled with the unlimitied time you have ito deliver trains removes any sort of challenge from unlocking new levels. Also it's not that much longer then the first Train Conductor and there's only one level i really enjoy (which is the Grand Canyon level). If this was longer, had the old scoring system and had more interesting level then it would be a great game but for me it's a step backwards. If you enjoyed the first Train Conductor then feel free to try this one. Just don't get your hopes up!.Version: 2.6

Need to be able to start on a higher pontuationThe game is great, but in a game like this you need some kind of level of difficult to be able to start on a more difficult game. Everytime you crash, you start from scratch at 0 points and a few trains. You need to divide the game in levels of difficulty where one is able to play at a more difficult situation. It gets easy to pass 100 points but it takes time to get there. Once one gets to 700 points and fail, its tiresome to spend one hour playing it again just to get to the point you missed. Please, add this feature so I keep playing the game..Version: 0

Can not seem to end the program in iOS13.I can not find a way to end this app in iOS13. The normal way of bringing up all the active apps do not work..Version: 3.8

No updatesNo iphone x updates for resolution, i’d expect that for the price. really disappointing.Version: 3.8

Annoying AdsThe ads popping up after each game are seriously annoying. I'd pay to remove them! Otherwise I won't be playing this much..Version: 3.8

TerribleI agree completely with what Darkreaper_1 has said, it has a terrible leveling up system! I liked the fact you had to get a certain amount of XP on Train Conductor to unlock the next level but now its just how many trains you can deliver! After about 50 trains I get bored and leave it, theres no addiction whatsoever with this game. I really thought this would be a great game after completing the first one...and it had the potential to be, had it stuck to the same style of Train Conductor..Version: 2.6

Worst iPad graphics "ever"This is definitely "not" and iPad game, looks great on the iPhone but it has not been been designed to run on the iPad's great screen. This is such a disappointment for a game that seemed to be so well produced for the first version, to take such sloppy shortcuts just to get a product out. Not full screen. Backgrounds are fuzzy. Trains don't line up with the tracks properly sometimes. Clearly this has just been upscaled from iPhone graphics, not built for the iPad. As a developer myself I would be embarrassed to call such lazy work my own. Come on guys, do a better job and fix it..Version: 0

Not as good as the first! Not sure how they've managed it, but they seem to have taken out all the best bits of the 1st game. No more score multipliers (which were fun), no more experience (which gave you a sense of progression), no more bar telling you how much longer you had to complete a day (which worked well)....in this one you don't seem to have any way of knowing how much you need to do to unlock the next level. Still ok, but I'll be sticking with playing the far superior (and free!) first game....Version: 0

You are joking, aren't you ??After the first game, this is a huge let down. Most of the good stuff has gone. No score multiplier. No trophies. No set duration for each level. No level score needed to get the next track, almost any decent score will do. The feel of the game gone. Flicking "ghosts" of the track - how boring. Finished the entire lot in under 15 minutes. No replay value at all. Buy the first game, but stay well clear of this one..Version: 0

Not as good as the first versionI prefer the Australian one, I don't like that the levels on this one are endless.. I'd rather that be an option like fast forward.. With them all being endless shifts it makes it more of a time waster because you have to keep playing.. Still fun, but gets a bit tedious with the endless levels!.Version: 0

Not impressed paying for new levelThe game play is good but easy. Bought the first one and was disappointed when it was clear no new levels would appear. Bough second game and now feel like I am paying for the update of the first game. Not impressed. I assume I will have to pay again for the next update. Fun game but far too short, better apps to buy..Version: 0

Too short and simpleAfter playing other time managment games like AirportMania and Build-A-Lot this was a big disappointment. The game mechanics are too basic - on one level all you have to do is swipe either up or down at appropriate times. What's more, I had unlocked all the levels after only 10 minutes. OK if it was free, but even 59p is too much unless it gets updated in a big way..Version: 0

ADDS are Beyond Annoying!!!This is a paid app! In order to continue after a crash, you have to watch a full add video. This is ridiculous! The game is pretty good otherwise. TURN OFF YOUR WIFI when you play it. The adds miraculously disappear. They can't come through when the Wi-Fi is turned off. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ only because I should not have to turn off the wi-Fi to enjoy this game..Version: 3.8

Good, but...I bought this game as I loved the first one a lot. However, there are two main problems with this game: 1, it crashes a lot and 2, it doesn't have the same replay appeal. I'm sure the crashes will be sorted, but I feel the replay repeal won't. Also, instead of giving you a score to work towards to unlock the next level, you just appear to progress onward once you've gotten an undetermined amount of trains "through" on the previous levels... It's all very boring and simple. If they go on to include Plus+ with this game and bring back the old scoring/level up system then they'll be onto a winner. Until that time, it is just a nicer looking, less challenging and less interesting version of the first game..Version: 0

Too much adsVery good game! Fun! Must have ! But too much Ads :0( ..... R.I.P....Version: 3.8

Okay I guessBut don’t play this if you have played train conductor world because it is disappointing.Version: 3.8

Can’t exit on iPhone XNo way to exit the app on iPhone X. Can’t force close like other apps..Version: 3.8

Disappointing sequelThe first one had double levels with day and night versions. Aside from the first level they got harder and you had to finish them to level up. Yet with this one I blitzes through to the Las Vegas level in 5 minutes and never finished one level. Now at LV it's ridiculously hard. Its inconsistent. And the loss if the day/night variation but still only 5 levels makes it feel like you are only getting half the game for the money. Personally I think you are getting less than that. It had potential and they blew it. Wouldn't recommend it if you've tried the first or want more than one level to challenge you..Version: 0

Only 6 locationsThe developer claims seven exciting levels but lists only six and there are, indeed, only six. There normal train levels: Miami, New York, and Grand Canyon, all of which are great fun. Then there are the three ghost levels: Nashville and Roswell, which are essentially identical except that the Roswell level adds an extra dimension of difficulty by temporarily hiding the train destination, and then Las Vegas which is really very silly indeed. Where is the seventh? There is a point on the map that says "Coming Soon" but the developer shouldn't be claiming seven levels of there are currently only six. I would like to say that I love the three normal train levels, they're absolutely great but the ghost levels are just pretty dull and stupid in my humble opinion. Whatever your opinion though, there are only six levels currently am I think the developer's description should be honest and reflect this. 5 stars for the three normal train levels, 1 star for the three ghost train levels and 0 stars for the absent level. That averages out at barely over 2 stars for "seven" levels. Dear Developer: thanks for the excellent normal train levels, the ghost ones are pretty dull and please deliver the seventh or change your description..Version: 0

DissapointedThe ipad version just looks like a normal ipod app that's been blown up to 2x .. Very disappointing, if they are going to say it's a dual version than it should be, this appears to rally just be an iPhone/iPod game that automatically try to fill screen .. Game itself is good but I take 3 stars off them for calling it dual format when it's not!!!!.Version: 0

Not an iPad game!!!I was a huge fan of the original and so I didn't hesitate to buy the iPad version. I am very disappointed with the graphics in this version. It is obvious that most of the elements are simply upscaled and reused from the iPhone version. All the backgrounds and some of the buttons look rubbish. You have sharp trains and tracks (which don't line up very well when crossing) and fuzzy backgrounds. It isn't even full screen on the iPad. I thought I must have downloaded an iPhone version :( I hope an update corrects some of these development 'shortcuts'. Very disappointed..Version: 0

I Think There Is A ProblemUpdated 29/07/2010 ; thanks to have updated it,but still work to do with that.adding 1 star to my rating,so now its 3. When i first saw that game,i said, this looks cool and its cheap.so i bought it. But the first thing i realize when i started it is that that game, that is supossed to be improved for the iPad,doesnt have the same proportion as the screen.so the size of the game is the same as if i bought a iTouch/iPhone game and i zoomed it 2x. Some graphics are also pixelled and the graphic didnt seem fluid. Well its a fun game, but many needs [and i hope they will] to be fixed. the only way i could put a better mark is if i saw those cases arefixed..Version: 0

SosoI prefer the first version, on account of the graphics, motions, skills required & the levels.Version: 0

Good and with room for improvementThe game is visually very nice and the idea behind it is great, I often find myself playing it spontaneously rather than any other game. Like many games of this sort (eg Tetris) it does stress you out a little after a while. One thing that annoys me is that after crashing a train you are always set back to the (easy and a little boring) beginning rather than maybe a level up - something which could easily be introduced as far as I see, ie game levels within a given location once you have reached a certain number of points. Also, the game doesn't look very good on the iPad (only on the iPhone)..Version: 0

Now with ads :(Paid for the premium version. The "update" changed it to a version with ads. Rarely play it anymore because of this. Developer okay with sticking ads on the update of a paid version. Offers weak excuse. Wish this review could be less than one star. Avoid this developer..Version: 3.8

Great gameplay, ugly on iPadNot much to add in terms of praise for the gameplay. It's fun and addictive, as everyone else has mentioned. The big problem here is the way the game looks. It shouldn't advertise itself as compatible with both iPhone and iPad as the iPad version is blocky and ugly (like most iPhone only apps). The developers have been promising a fix for this for as long as I've had the game; however, the most recent update did not address the graphics issue so, until then, iPad users beware..Version: 0

DON’T BUY FROM THIS DEVELOPERDon’t support developers that put ads in paid games..Version: 3.8

An ok gameThe thing that I don't like about this game is that it is $0.99 right now. You can complete this game in a short time so you really just wasted $0.99. Same thing with train conductor..Version: 3.5

Paid app with ads!I don’t think so..Version: 3.8

Paid for app, but still has lots of ads.Ads keep showing even though I paid for the app. Some of the ads are not kid appropriate and others take too long to be able to close..Version: 3.8

AverageI feel this app is very good in certain aspects. I think that they could have made it so there was better music in the game which I think will make people play it more. also I believe that some of the levels needed to be explained a bit more because when it came to the las Vegas level it took me a few seconds to work out that I needed to swipe to the colours which matched and that nearly cost me the game. hahahahahahah. I also feel that as a whole this app has been designed very well but shares similarity with the normal train conductor which makes me feel that this app has been copied instead of being created from somebody's imagination. if I had to give this app a rating I would give it a 3 out of five but I would definitely put some modern music on there which would boost it up to a 4 or even make more levels as I completed it quite quickly and this would then boost further up to a 5 star rating being the maximum rating that I can give. overall I would like to thank and congratulate they people on making this app and I will be looking forward to the new update and even hopefully version 2 or a completely different app made by the same people WELL DONE!!.Version: 2.6

Preferred the originalStill has fun gameplay, but it felt like it had less progression, and less of a feeling of achievement. So it felt less meaningful to play..Version: 3.8

AwfulRealy poor game.Version: 3.8

AdsWhen you lose and cluck on "Continue Round" you get and ad. This must be a bug i a paid game!.Version: 3.8
