✓ The paid app does not connect to serverI like the lite version,that is why I decided to buy it. Unfortunately, the paid version does not connect to the server. Additionally there is no email for me to contact the app developer, but I have to go on a random forum and have to register in order to ask a question. Please can you answer here? ✓ Ads are so annoying!I understand you have the ads there for reasons, but putting it where you watch videos is a dumb idea. It defeats the purpose of actually watching things if you can't even see the whole screen. Is there another place you can put the ads? Other than that it's a great app! You could also make the downloading feature and playlist stuff in the paid one only if you were to get rid of the ads in videos so that there would still be reasons to get the paid version..Version: 2.0.06

✓ Caution re in app purchase-and lack of customer supportI downloaded this app and was VERY pleased with it, except that I found the ads to be quite intrusive. So I sent my $3.99 and everything was fine. However, I had to delete the app and reinstall it, and the ads came back. 1 . I tried to buy it again, hoping it would do that for free, but no..they wanted another $3.99 2. I contacted their support, but no response in 48 hours. 3. Apple, very quickly, refunded my purchase. I suspect this is one of those apps created by a hobbyist, dumped on the iTunes store and if some money comes in it's like money for nothing. So, try the free version and if the ads don't annoy you, fine. But if you're like me, avoid this one!.Version: 3.0

✓ AcceptableActually acceptable is a bit harsh. Good app apart from the adverts at the top which are a real bugger! Picture and sound quality fairly good, sometimes the focus is soft on streamed images. Quicker downloading times would be great and Oplayer has a knack for losing connection just before a crucial scene..Version: 2.0.08
✓ Compared to other players it’s decent, but one of the images is deceptiveIn one of the images it says you can position the video, but this is a lie, you can’t actually move the video around. You can zoom in, but it only zooms in on the center of the video, making it completely pointless. ✓ Basic playerI’m using this for music playback while driving, so maybe the joke’s on me (maybe this is more for movies?). The music playback is stopping as soon as I exit the player screen, e.g. to browse more music to add to playlist. Would be nice to have “always playing something” mode. Leaving the app or locking the screen also stops the playback—until tapping the screen, then it resumes. Strange. Playing / adding a folder with subfolders does nothing. Only leaf folders work correctly. I have my music organized by genre, artist and year in four level hierarchy so this is really annoying, having to enter each folder manually. Playing all files in a folder or adding to playlist does not sort the files in the folder by their track (or even alphabetically). So they will just play randomly, based on how they were copied to the phone (the playback order is filesystem dependent at that point). All in all I’m happy with what this does for me. Though it seems very basic features are missing after 8 years of development..Version: 4.5

✓ Used to work great but now when deleting files eats up storageSomething has happened to the app or with the latest iOS update to 16.1.2. I copy files to the app via iTunes. When I delete a file from my iPhone from within the app, the deleted files space is being returned to System Data and not freeing usable storage. System Data is getting huge with every delete and there’s no way to clear it without doing a backup, erase and restore on the phone. Please fix..Version: 4.7.2
✓ Audio/Video sync mismatch!!I have just installed it on my iOS device. The first few seconds plays with the video and audio synced but then gets separated by almost 10 seconds. The video is behind by 10 seconds but the audio seems to plays properly without any glitch or skips. The audio seems to be playing at a normal rate not slow or skipping. This is really bugging!! ✓ Recommend other video playersThere are other video players much better this incl: AVPlayerHD (9/10), VLC (free 8/10), Air Video HD (10/10 for streaming videos over LAN, local network I.e. from your iMac or disks attached to it to your iPad or iPhone). I’ve used AVPlayerHD in combination with FileBrowser (connect to Cloud Drives. FileBrowser has inbuilt streaming support to all major video players) & I use Air Video HD most often as I store videos on my hard drives attached to my IMac & simply stream them to my iPad and then onto my TV using Apple TV & AirPlay, it’s perfect!.Version: 4.7.2

✓ Latest update is annoyingMade the mistake of updating this app and now there is a permanent ad banner on the video screen. The version before didn’t have this so why now? You can’t even remove it as it stays there permanently blocking the video you’re watching since they didn’t even put it in a place that doesn’t block the actual video you’re watching. This is such an annoying feature. I wish I had not updated it. I understand that as a free app they need to make money and that isn’t an issue. Just do what other developers do and have an ad banner that can be removed or at least one that will disappear after the ad finishes playing. Instead these developers choose to keep the annoying ad banner on top of the video window obscuring the actual video you are trying to watch. Upgrading by paying to remove ads is the only way to get rid of the banner. This is the most annoying feature from what is usually a pretty good network media player. In light of this I’ve installed two new players - nPlayer Lite and Infuse who both display ads in a more tasteful way and both still allow me to stream videos from my NAS. I’ll be removing OPlayer Lite now..Version: 4.4

✓ Problem with syncing on all files - fault?Over the past couple of weeks all files begin playing ok but then develop a significant problem with syncing sound with the file and it has led me to start using VLC as an alternative which is playing the same files perfectly without any syncing issues. Tried to find a way of resolving this but not successful. ✓ Nice player, but won’t play tracks in order?Much to like about this little player. Nice friendly interface and very feature-rich for a free app but won’t play my iCloud mp3 folders in the correct order. It’s not shuffling though, it is consistent in its (wrong) order. It starts in the middle and then bounces around randomly, so track 7, 2, 9, 4 and so on. Another playlist will be 4, 8, 10, 1 or whatever, but the playlists always play in their same sequence. Weird. Is this something that is fixed in the paid version? Because if so I would definitely buy it. As it stands though at least it plays all the tracks in a folder. Most important, when are you going to support SMB, which "ezshare pro" has been supporting for long so that I can direct access TIME CAPSULE through it from ezshare in iphone.
