✓ Simple, but unbelievably addictiveI was taught this card game by a friend, and remembering how much fun it was to play against mates, thought an iPhone version would be a fun way to pass the occasional 15 mins or so. But hours later, I'm hooked! The AI is superb, so it's a real thrill to beat the virtual players, and there are plenty of game styles to add variety. Excellent value for money..Version: 0
✓ Good but could be betterFun game and I love the different formats. I wish the screen would rotate so I didn't have to keep my iPad vertical when I played. Also would like the option of playing with just three players (cuthroat) and lastly, need to be able to mute the game sounds so I can listen to music while I play. ✓ Love it!I've been playing "oh, hell" for 40+ years, and I love this app. It's about as close as it can get to the aggravation and frustration of the game with live players. I would like to suggest a few additional options: (1) add the option that trump is not revealed until AFTER bidding is complete (it ups the aggravation level) (2) 3-5 players, rather than just 4. (3) Make the high score list include only 10 scores, who cares if the pitiful score you just made is #45? (4) make the background behind the trump designator a bit lighter, so that it's easier to see. Other than that, I just can't stop playing..Version: 2.0.1

✓ Oh hell is the PERFECT computer card gameAnyone playing computer card games knows the deals are NEVER "random". but the nature of "oh hell" is that strategies can turn on a dime and go in a totally different direction...hence the appropos name. it's hard for ai to stack the game because what you think might happen, often doesn't. it's as close to a FAIR card game that there is......Version: 1.3
✓ Great game & implementationThe game is very nicely made, the AI is smart, too. The speed issues of the previous version are gone (works fast on 3GS, too.) The customizable scoring system is great. (Try the Lite version if you are concerned to update.) The only thing still missing is that many people play this game (I mean the real-life version) with simultaneous bidding (not sequential). ✓ Very good versionI've been trying to find a version of (insert whatever you call this game as it has loads of different names) which matches the rules I'm used to playing as closely as possible and this is it! What I like about this version is the trump suit is set every game and follows the H C D S and No Trumps sequence - exactly as I'm used to playing it. Unfortunately it doesn't follow our exact rules which goes from a single card, up to 13 cards and back down to a single card for the last hand. We also have a middle extra 13 card hand which you have to bid blind (before you see your hand) which always add a bit of excitement to the game. The game plays very well and you can fortunately turn off the annoying heads and speech bubbles. The indication of how many tricks each player has bid and how many tricks they currently have is also very good and missing from some versions - it is essential to know this when playing on an app version so you can keep track. My only criticism - which may be just the standard rules of where the author lives - is a single card hand coinciding with no trumps which obviously gives the leading card player a huge advantage. Still a minor thing. Well worth the £2.99.Version: 4.0.1

✓ Pretty goodProvides decent AI for a rousing game of Oh Hell. The sound effects are cheesy but that's OK. I only wish (as others do) that more options were available for scoring variants. It seems everyone has their own scoring traditions and it would be nice if they were options. Lastly, how about the ability to set AI strength for each seat ala the Tichu app? The 3 of us now live in different countries and since we discovered this app had been networked a couple of years ago, we play almost every night. Across 2 continents and 3 different timezones. ✓ THE BEST CARD GAME EVERThis is an almost perfect version of Nomination Trumps/Whist, a really great game where you play alone (no teams) against 3 other players and even when dealt a bad hand you can often use your skill to do well. Of course there is some luck but skill will win more often. The biggest problem with this version is finding on-line opponents so if you buy it you could be helping with that. ✓ Nearly thereAn option to play online against friends (via Facebook link) or others would be appealing. Ability to choose amount of players for a game would be good. Also please add the joker and power of the left and right bowers. Chance for dealer to turn up the joker with an option to select trump suit (or no trumps) before seeing their own cards of course. No trumps hands to be added with joker not in play and jacks returning to being 4th highest cards. Also an option to select length of game would b great, for example. 6 players short (1-10 + no trumps) Normal 1-10 + no trumps then no trumps and back 10-1) Long (1-10 + no trumps then no trumps 10-1 + no trumps then no trumps back up 1-10) If all of the additions above we're made, then this game would be perfect! With version 2.0, you can customize many different features (scoring, appearance) to make the game more like what you are accustomed to. ✓ Great game! Needs one small tweak…I have loved this games for years. The ability to configure the rules is fabulous. It lets you replicate the game you grew up with. With one exception… When the trump suit is random, there is no way for “No Trump” to ever be played. In my family, the rule was: If an Ace was turned over as the card to indicate the trump suit, then there would be ‘No Trump’ … instead of the suit of the Ace. I installed this app on my iPhone a year ago. It's the only game to last that long. I play it almost daily.
