✓ Faster than official appFor people like me who were getting fed up of clicking something in the official app only for it to just sit there with the spinning circle and bring nothing up this is the app for you. Much faster than the official app and only 69p. Only gripes are this version said it was ad free but when I loaded it this morning it brought up a popup ad, somewhat annoying considering this is what I bought the paid version to avoid? Also found an issue with the timeline as it jumps from posts made 2hrs ago to posts made 22hrs ago?? Sort that out and it'll be a 5 star app...Version: 3.2

✓ Auto scroll to the top of news feed page?!Slower than free FB app but the biggest annoyance factor is that whenever I tap to click on a picture post, the app auto scrolls to the top of the news feed! So after I look at the pic I have to scroll all the way back to the bottom to pickup where I left off. Makes reading the news feed un-fun. Small but enough to make me regret buying the app. No 'picture posts only' filter..Version: 1.6
✓ Discounted price?Have the free version and was considering upgrading to the 'discounted' price which is offered on the app. This suggested to me that the app was for sale at a higher price to those who haven't already trialled the free app. I wanted to upgrade as I thought all the crashing was due to the ads which keep flashing up, but on reading all these reviews, I think I'll stall buying the paid version until the reviews improve. Especially as it seems the 'discounted' price isn't discounted at all. On a positive side, there seems to be a lot more detailed posts, whereas I only seem to get a highlighted version from the official app, for instance, only those I have interacted with recently seem to show up in my timeline. Would also like to see the tagging feature sorted, never worked for me on the official app, but the reviews of this one suggest it was active at one time. Plus, I've managed to 'add to family' on free HD app, something else I haven't found how to do on official app. If I see these issues improve through the reviews, I may just buy it Also, I wonder if clearing the cache & cookies in iphone settings might resolve the crashing, even as a temporary measure?? DEADLY! Had to buy the frigging (pardon my French) before I could leave this feedback. Hopefully I've bought it at the discount price just ahead of the improvements. I have to re-enter my password every time it goes from 3G to WiFi and back, friends photos don't always show and like/comment/view comment buttons spontaniously become completely unresponsive! ✓ Good 100% not worth buyingThe more I use this the least I like it. the free one facebook app, at this point at least, is way better. Don't buy this and just get the free one. I just got this because it's an iPad app. There are a just a lot more features on it than this app has. Maybe if they adopted some of those it would make this app worth the money. I'd personally like to be able to view My Videos as like a tab or something and being able to customize everything a little more. And be able to tag photos, that should be standard. ✓ Bad on both fronts...Why would a developer release an app not yet ready for prime time? To be fair, there is no Facebook app in existence for iPad or iPhone that gets the job done. The font in the compose window is huge and overlaps each line. The header is way too big and takes up too much screen real estate, and noth iPhone and iPad platforms, I can not get a comment on an existing item to post. On the iPhone verson, you are hard-pressed to find the "add comment/like" navigation at all as it kind of slides off the page. I was excited to see update, but although some of the prior difficulties have been corrected, a multitude seem to have been manufactured to take their place. I had high hopes. ✓ Abandoned.Update June 2011: I've abandoned this app because, despite recent updates, it still forces a new login every time I change from wifi to the mobile network and vice versa. This procedure is very slow and highly annoying. I appreciate it's probably not the developer's fault, but it makes the app unusable. Back to the FREE official app. -- Better than the FB app because: • photos upload without problem (FB app often crashes/fails) • can upload photos to specific folders, including Profile pics • can Like comments • can see whole thread of comments and/or photo when composing your comment • can 'expand' threads and see in the context of your whole newsfeed • customisable appearance, including font type and size • developers seem to be updating regularly (unlike FB app) Less good because... • logs you out periodically (although I guess this is a measure of security should someone else get hold of your phone) • top banner takes up a lot of screen space • notifications list doesn't include profile pics, and generally don't work at intuitively as the FB one • you can't set different privacy for individual posts • is a bit slower over mobile network • badge count a bit unreliable (this might have been fixed in the most recent update) • it's not free!.Version: 2.0

✓ Great if you only chat 1 personThis works well and easy to use. I was 100% happy until several people started to chat and then it all goes very wrong... Seems to stick and unable to write.. ✓ Tired of the bugsEven tho I like this app WAY better than the original it still has bugs popping up constantly. I was super excited about the update but it still won't let me change my profile pic without uploading a new pic. I have also problems sending messages. i used to be able to edit my profile and account without having to get on my laptop or PC but THAT as well isn't working. And I REALLY don't like that it won't show everyone's status updates etc. It just pics a few of my friends which really irritates the f*%#* out of me. Well I hope there will be another update SOON! ✓ Great ApplicationI really have nothing negative to say about this application. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because I would love to see it get a makeover. The interface is outdated looking and stale. A new interface along the beauty of TapBots would be amazing. ** update after the initial 4 stars. After writing my initial review I learned the crappiness of this product. I am a user with a personal profile and a professional page. Despite have the setting of "always post as my page even when signed in as my profile" turned on - the program posts as my profile. ✓ Broken news feedI was so stoked about this app! It has the potential to be great. The main problem is that it only displays a small amount of my status updates In my feed! Were talking 1 out 5 (if that) get actually displayed in my news feed. Is there not a way to fix this? The regular fb app misses one or two from time to time, but facely misses a huge chunk of my feed all the time! it won't even display the status updates I make, from within the app! This is just silly! It literally makes the clean interface 100% useless. This is upsetting! ✓ Video uploadI bought this app only because it stated you can upload video with it. I soon found out you cant when i went to their Q&A from the app listing. There in black and white in the section where it says " what updates are you working on" is video upload.!! This is false advertising. They also state they cant give out refunds!! ✓ Just okShould be better than the free Facebook app or why bother. Takes forever to load pics, but I can go to the FB app and they load instantly. Also, when viewing pics fullscreen, all the prompts and descriptions should toggle away. When viewing a link, album, etc and hitting back to go to the feed it should return you to the spot you were at, not the top every time. Should also display the read more prompt on large posts so they don't take up miles of the feed when scrolling. Cosmetically I love the options of colors and fonts. Honestly would love the "HD" to go away on the app icon - too many devs don't think about how cluttered icons and titles can make the screen. ✓ Cool App!The customizations that are possible makes this app pretty awesome. Could fix a few thing like when you you click on notifications and accidentally click on it once or twice you then have opened notifications mult times and have exit each one. Besides that this app works much better than the original Facebook app on my 4S. ✓ Sorry to uninstall, but...This app was very promising. The customization options and general user interface were good enough for me to purchase the "premium" version just to get rid of the ads. Unfortunately, the crippling errors that have lagged it for the past month and more have finally rendered Facely unusable in my eyes. I can appreciate the difficulty of keeping up with Facebook's server-side changes, and I'm predisposed to tinker around and troubleshoot a malfunction, be it hardware or software. Through all of my efforts, and those of the developers, the application is just fundamentally unstable. I'm not agitating for a refund of my $0.99, and I bear those who created this app absolutely no ill will; I simply must have a reliable, functional conduit to access Facebook. When scrolling through someone's pics, it shows the same pics over and over rather than going on to the next one. When scrolling through thumbnails of pics, suddenly goes white and says "no photos available." Sends you to the mobile site to change profile pic. It says it's customizable & I've never been able to customize any part (The colors, etc.) I can't hardly do much significant chat time without it freezing up. I really think if they can work out the kinks and make the app run better and faster it wod be worth 2.99. ✓ Tired of your old app not working...well neither does this one.This app is almost perfect but it has a bug or two. For instance, my friends "all photos" page has 272 photos. I bring up the big grid of all Rhodes photos and I swipe my finger to look down the list, but halfway down, the photos all disappear and it says "no photos". Every....single......time!! Anyone else check this out and see if it changes your review. And also, when your going through a long list of grid photos, and you click on one to look at it full screen, you can use the back button to go back to the grid of photos. That's great but it keeps starting me off at the top of the photo grid. So I have to keep swiping down and down just to get back to the photo I stopped at. ✓ Very poor indeedIn common with the official Facebook app, Facely has seen numerous updates; in fact, this app was updated an impressive 16 times last year! However, despite all these updates, Facely STILL doesn't work properly. It beggars belief that an app can be "improved" so many times and so frequently, yet still not work as it should. I have found this to be the case with almost every Facebook app in the App Store; with the sole exception of Beejive for Facebook (which is good), NONE of the other Facebook apps, including the official one, work as they should. It must be near impossible to produce a working Facebook app because virtually no one seems capable of doing it. I just posted a comment to a friend's photo using Facely and it didn't show up, even after swiping down to update. I've checked my account using the Beejive app and my comment is definitely there. So why can Beejive do the job but not Facely? This app is a waste of time. I will give it a year or so before installing this app again but I'm not optimistic of any significant improvements. After all, Facely has now seen 17 updates yet still does not work. Save your money and try the Beejive app instead. It's free (with ads) so you have nothing to lose; you can pay to lose the ads which is what I have done. Facely is just not up to the job; it never has been and probably never will..Version: 3.1
✓ Better than it was! But still needs work8/8/11 (update) the back (or home button) doesnt work that well. When you view media within a group it doesn't take you back to the "Group" homepage... But to the Facebook homepage. I could just have fat fingers too but if that's the case I recommend you changing the button to two separate buttons (update) still no easy access to groups but the app is more stable now after the new update... (old) The app is cool for basic FB functions, but what would really make this app better would be bookmarks/favorites and groups. It's hard to currently see/ find groups when there not in the news feed. The bookmarking would be a nice bonus (not really a bonus because the app by Facebook has it already) but it would be nice not to have to do a search to find the ppl I talk to most....Version: 2.1

✓ DaveGreat application but I don't like is that way my post font shows up large and the message drops off the edge of the page by 8 characters. The other thing that is the most frustrating is the inability of the app to display all the messages. The home screen looks as if it only posts top messages and there is no capability to sort by most recent. For that reason I am going back to Facebook in Safari. I have both this and the free fb app and they both have terrible bugs at the moment (I'm sure down to fb changing everything again) It takes an age to load - no really way too long. In a news feed if you look at a pic it gives you no option than to go back to news feed and then takes you straight back to the top which is really annoying. There is no share option (which annoys me on the other app too) It has no other benefit over the free app other than you can like individual post - it sometimes is working when the other site isn't - you can change the colour (?!) but really isn't worth paying for over the freebie one especially with all the bugs. ✓ Please improveEnjoying this app but would be better if when you're scrolling down on any page the header main menu stayed in view at the top and the info scrolled "under" it rather than having to constantly scroll all the way back to the top if you want to change pages. Also, i find it very frustrating that when you leave the main page you're on to click on a pic or something, when you go back (even by using the built in back arrows) it takes you all the way back to the top instead of where you were on the page. ✓ Getting worse and STILL no updates!I purchased this app because the regular FB app currently has a bunch of issues. I'm not sure there are any less here. Issues so far: -The live feed doesn't post updates from all of my friends or pages. The other app does, so I have to go back and forth to check everything. -If I want to see comments on some posts I actually have to go to my profile because clicking on "comments" doesn't work. -Shouldn't the app automatically update when it's opened? I have to pull down to update every time. -When scrolling through a page of pictures it will go blank halfway through and then give me a message that says there are no photos. -During a chat session, the comments show up out of sequence... Makes it hard to carry on a conversation that makes any sense. This a very nice looking app with a ton of potential but something has gone off. Fix these issues and this will be better than the official FB app, but for now it's no better... Maybe worse. 05/15- What the hell? Why did you change this app? It's good that you can customise the look of it, unlike in the official app (for example, my partner has a visual impairment, so uses this to increase font size), but it's essentially a client for browsing the mobile site, and has a penchant for hanging and crashing. ✓ Worked for 30 seconds and support is nebulous.Ok, so I now have 5 facebook apps on my iPad2. Four of them log on to facebook and do mostly OK. This one let me log on once for about 30 seconds and has since given me the perpetual "no internet" symbol. Rather than trash them here, I elected to try to get support. What a waste THAT was. ✓ Works ok, not perfectStill getting familiar with this app, but it doesn't appear to be bug-free, particularly with respect to chatting. The chat sub-app is a split panel with the 'friends online' panel on the left and the chat panel on the right. As my chatting fills up the right panel and scrolls down, I have a hard time getting to the top of the friends list on the left. Also the chat panel creates tabs for multiple chats, but I couldn't close the tabs for chats I wanted to end. Lastly I repeatedly get a warning message that chat isn't available, even though my chats and the friends list make it look like everything is fine. Not sure what's up with that. ✓ Better but not yet perfectI will say that after a quick run through it is better than the standard facebook app. A few things that dont give it 5 stars from my experience so far is that it does crash from time to time and needs some bug fixes soon, but it also doesn't give you the full experience as if you were on the actual web site, i.e., being able to send attachments and pictures through email. That is a big one. Not everyone is satisfied with only having the option of posting everything on someone else's wall for all to see. I'll play with the app more and see what else I can find. It gets stuck on a blank page and the only solution is to delete the app and reinstall. This would get a five star rating, but until it is updated and this problem is fixed, it will get only two. ✓ Lots of potential (v 2.0)This app does a lot of things the regular FB app doesn't do. But, it must be VERY hard to make a good mobile FB app. They're all terrible. This app has odd issues with a long list of things. Resizing at odd times that requires you to pinch it back into place. The Comment button and Done button overlap and behave like 2 Done buttons. Sometimes comments and likes just disappear completely. Sometimes they show up magically much later. Sometimes not. The nav bar on photos refuses to hide. The app crashes, and of course it's always after you spent 5 minutes typing something - Gone. And if I have stare at "Personalizing Experience" for another minute I'm going to gag. It's loading. Fine. "Loading" it is then. When a cashier is counting my change s/he is not "personalizing my transaction experience." ✓ Needs improvement!Love the design and ability to customize the look, but I am not receiving or able to see posts from my closest friend, or my family. Yes, i can open their page, but their most recent posts are not there, and only a limited number of prior posts. ✓ Ok..butI liked it at first, but when I read the fine print in the terms of service I didn't care for it accessing my personal information that I have on facebook. This works like an app on facebook and wants to access my name, #, address, and my friends, places I visit online etc. I have my information set to private, but to connect this to facebook made me give it permission which I don't really feel like doing. ✓ I like this app but don't at the same time. . .The first thing I noticed is the layout, comments are all round the wrong way, putting most recent on say a photo at the top first. If there is a cover pic on the main profile this app doesn't show it. For every status and post, "null" comes up as the time frame. This is one of the worst things about it, I like to know when someone posted so I'm not commenting on a very old status. Status updates on my profile page are muddled right up in terms of when I wrote them. I can no longer delete comments and posts I don't want on my profile. Now I have to go on the actual website to edit it...rendering this app useless to me. On the note of using the regular web site, when I chose the option to edit my profile in the menu, I used to open up the full site so I could move around from there. Now, the only way to edit it is the stupid 'click here' link in the app itself. I need a way to access the full site from this app with one button, especially in light of the inability to edit your wall and delete comment posts. At this point, I don't even use the app anymore...
