✓ Intitial controls errorA controls related bug almost made me give this gem zero stars. If there are no controls when you start a game. Try editing the controls in the options menu before playing. ✓ Fantastic art and production values, but problematic controls and writingFour stars because of how nice it is to play a game with some genuine care put into it's development on here, but at the same time the controls really are a problem. Not being able to shoot grenades while aiming is a massive oversight. Dual stick on a touch screen will never be ideal. The art is outstanding. Just a joy to LOOK at. As a side note, the writing is generally atrocious in that wannabe self-referential nerdy way that makes me cringe. That being said, well worth your dollars. Three stars in most cases, but I think extra consideration is due on the App Store when a game is as well produced as this. Call me shallow..Version: 0

✓ Awesome iPhone ShooterHalfbrick have really outdone themselves with Age of Zombies. It has great graphics, comfortable controls, superb sound and gameplay that is easy to pick up and quickly becomes addictive. The story mode is a little short, but there's plenty of incentive to play through it again to try and unlock some of the more difficult achievements. Survival mode is really where the game shows it's longevity. You battle against an endless horde of zombies to try and get the highest score. I've been having loads of fun with my mates trying to beat their scores. It has full Game Center integration (with achievements and leaderboards) and the game looks amazing on the Retina display. Sure it's a little more expensive than the usual £0.59 wonders, but it's a fuller game, and definitely worth the extra pound. Get it now!!.Version: 0

✓ Run Or Die!Usually I would be able to easily beat any third person shooter or top down shooter game on the App Store fairly easily but this game made me rethink my whole blitzkrieg tactics that I used as I was literally almost shoved into a corner by a massive pack of zombies. Luckily after dying twice in the game I managed to have a very enjoyable experience as I was luring zombies into full conga lines or distracting them with my sentry guns but all and all this game will feel punishing at first however it becomes clear that staying alive is more important than killing the Adorable Face hugging zombies..Version: 1.2.81

✓ AwesomeIt has an arcade feel but I recommend downloading the lite version first because this game has rather different controls but I find them rather comfortable their is plenty of replay value to this game and a survival mode but even though this game has replay value it feels like a mini game but it isn't to much of a problem and because of the way it feels like a mini game it gives it the convenience of being able to play it for 5 minutes or 5 hours so I give it 5 stars.Version: 1.1.1

✓ Best DSSEasily the best dual stick shooter on the app store. Unlike Minigore, the enemies spawn from random locations around the map and not just the sides. Compared to the new shooter 'Revolt' this contains so much more excitement and action. More positives about this game are the campaign (which is very funny and exciting), the graphics and the numerous achievements throughout the game. The survival mode let's you choose which map you wish to play in, each with their own perks. Highly recommended, even at £1.79 I just hope they update it, unfortunately I don't see this happening though as it's a port from a PSP game..Version: 0

✓ Half Brick, All AwesomeHaving bought all of Half Bricks games so far getting this was a no brainer, I think this firmly staples them as one of my favourite game developers and I look forward to their every release. On a slightly bum note, this isnt as perfect as it's predecessors, which I think is due to it being a port of a PSP game, and so not built with the idevices in mind. But in any case, it will obviously draw comparisons with minigore, of which this wins if only on it's additional charm, funky characters and better enemies. But if everybody is so happy with what you made, don't start adding all these useless ideas and details that you may not even like as much as the consumers do. One version works on both iPhone and iPad in full resolution, and it costs only $2.99 making mini gore an even bigger ripoff. It's not only cheaper with with fair pricing, it is 3 times more enjoyable than mini gore. I despise developers who try to charge twice for the same game, with no difference other than higher resolution graphics on the ipad. Pc games run in a wide choice of resolutions and don't charge extra for each resolution. ✓ Great, but...This game is really fun, the story mode is pretty much perfect. The only problems are with hoard mode. The idea is great and it is really fun, except it is too hard. I had the game before the update where the sentry guns would spawn, and it was a lot better than the latter. The bosses and sentrys were a good addition but the main reason why the new update is so hard is because absolutely NOTHING spawns for you to pick up. At all. The main reason this game is so good is because of its creative use of the pickups (in my opinion). This makes the achievement to get to round 15 almost impossible. My highest round is 7. The level of difficulty increase in the rounds would be perfect IF the pickup crates spawned. Besides that it is perfect. 2-Player mode is great as well. But its pretty much useless unless you have an ipad. With phones the screens just get so small. I think it would be great if you could play over wifi or internet :).⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.Version: 1.2.81

✓ Great GameThe accents after picking up a weapon are marvellous, the camera angles is great, the zombie spawns preventing camping, the weapons of mass destruction supply so much fun (especially my favourite, sentry guns), the bosses provide quite a challenge, survival mode doesn't just have a few enemies, but tons, even before the 1st round, the life system is great, with a Call Of Duty like read bar of health around you, this game has quite few faults, even when i found great spots to stay in, your score multiplier is low so it forces you to run out to get a higher one. ✓ WHOOOOO!!!!Just broke my 5 million point barrier (not saying which map) I just wish you could regenerate 1 heart (if you lost any) every 30 seconds or so of not getting hit. But this this game is cool, it's fun, I'd recommend it to everyone, that rhymed, getting most achievements are easy but I still can't get the 10 kills with a stick of dynamite and I've used it a bunch, I've checked the stats screen dozens of times and it still says 0 kills with dynamite. ✓ Art of Zombies?Much like Barry Steakfries' other starring roles in Jetpack Joyride and Monster Dash, Age of Zombies has always been a very good game — and since its recent updates, that's still very much the case. With regards to the new art style, I'd say it's a definite an improvement, but if I'm totally honest, I'd rather see Age of Zombies return to the original pixel art that endeared it to so many at launch. ✓ Idea for future chaptersFor chapter 8 you could still keep Barry in the Wild West but it's night time and skeleton zombies with vampire zombies are terrorising the place and you have to defend the Wild West! For chapter 9 travels back to the normal time but the portal somehow takes him to the ice age. In the ice age there are yeti zombies, Eskimos zombies and zombies riding icebergs. Oh and you have a time limit before you freeze to death. In chapter 10 he's still in the ice age except the zombies are celebrating christmas. There is a Santa zombie as the boss. In chapters 11 and 12 he travels to world war 1 and 2 where there are millitary zombies and a boss zombie riding a tank. In chapter 13 he travels to the Middle Ages and fights knight zombies, archer zombies, jousting zombies, wizard zombies, and a dark knight boss. In chapters 14,15 and 16 it is the apocalypse. Zombies from every time zone and a boss at the end of each level. At the final level there is a mutated zombie (Prof. Brains)that has the power of all powers of previous bosses combined and he has a giant laser beam of doom.
