✓ Infinite PossibilitiesAt first glance, the knobs may seem limited and confusing. After playing with it for an hour or so, you start to see there's great depth in this app. There's a tutorial video in the "Help" menu that gives examples on how to have fun with it, which made me really let loose and mix with it more. I wish theres was a way to over lap and organize tracks though. If you want a way to spend hours experimenting with music, this is a good way to do it..Version: 1.0.0

✓ Great App, but..I love this app! It's easy to use once you get the hang of it. The only thing that's not so great is that you just get the Gorillaz samples. Don't get me wrong, they're awesome. I just wish it had the original iElectribe samples too. And for the people crying about the copyright... That only Applies if you use the entire sample and it sounds exactly the same. It's their music. You can work around it by tweaking the settings so it sounds nothing like the original..Version: 1.0.0
✓ More than you thinkThis is great. It is better than the original; there are 16 samples for each of the eight triggers ( snare, kick, etc) giving you a total of 128 samples - all of them can be modified to make unique sounds. To access, go to the oscillator and click the gorillaz wave button to change the samples. Yes, you get the gorillaz samples, but you can tweak to make them unrecognizable. This is also really great to see how Damon used 128 samples to make a plethora of loops. And thanks to the gorillaz for sharing! Korg does it again. Keep up the good work. I would really like to be able to load in my own samples. Then it can be used by every musician to create killer songs!.Version: 1.0.0

✓ I MUCH prefer this to the standard iElectribe!I'm enjoying this a lot. You can select a sample for each part from a bank of samples (it looks like a choice of 16 for each part), but you don't have to use just 1 sample in a part, you can change the sample for a part within a sequence, so you can use all the piano samples in one part. Nice! As with the standard iElectribe, the one thing this really needs is programable "Motion Value" like you get on the Electribe ES-1, which would mean you could program the pitch of each step for a part, as it's impossible to get any accuracy with pitches when recording and twiddling the pitch dial. ✓ Great Sampler loaded up for Gorillaz Fanz! But we want to load our own samples too!Great idea by the Gorillaz and KORG. More bands should do this... All the KORG apps are excellent! But we'd really like an iESX, or even an iES1 - whatever you'd want to call a similar app that would let us load in our OWN samples. ✓ Pretty goodThe way samples are handled in this is good, it's kind of like having an iElectribe S (as in a sampler) only without any ability to use your own samples. Fortunately they're good ones, I wonder how long it will be until they're overplayed though. Very easy to get some good rhythms going. ✓ Needs to be updatedIt's recently starting to show bugs. It won't let me hit the play button when making something anymore. I can hit all the other buttons but play meaning I won't hear anything. ✓ My favourite music-making app for iPad.I love the original iElectribe and was a product demonstrator of the original hardware units for Korg, so I reckon I've got a good frame of reference. None one of them have made me smile as much as this. Yes the sounds are very stylised - that is the point. The great fun is tuning and modulating them to see just how much range you can get. And the system for switching the samples assigned to each pad is awesome. Tools like this are meant to make you work a little harder for some things (like playing riffs) because they make it so much easier to do other things (like getting grooves going quickly), and the nuances push you in directions you might not otherwise go. It's fun, it's inspirational and it's creative... and after half an hour in the pub I've made five phat grooves from scratch. My only problem now is which one to port into Logic first - I've got five new tracks to finish... ;-).Version: 1.0.0
✓ Wow! Fresh and exciting beats with great PCM samplesBuilding on the success of the iElectribe, this unique version incorporates many distinctive instrument and sound effect samples. The presets are almost mini styles and riffs in themselves, the sound quality is stunning and a great demo app for music making on the iPad. Shame the electribe doesnt support background audio playback but there again I expect this app needs quite some horsepower. The interface is very much like the classic iElectribe from Korg but with new sounds and lots of original samples. Simply first class!.Version: 1.0.0

The sounds are, as you would expect, amazing... the layout is quirky and fun... like an urbanely–pimped out version of the original. ✓ Close to perfect.If, like me, you love the gorrillaz this is a must have. All the presets sound great and making your own is fun and easy. The interface is very nice too. However you are restriced to a few sounds and it would nice to have a keyboard available when changing the pitch of sounds. ✓ Fantastic.To be able to see into the construction of many of the core beat patterns and rhythms that form the backbone of 'The Fall' and be able to deconstruct, copy them and then form your own patterns from what you learn and do all of this on a handheld pad anywhere you want, is still hard to believe. Gorrillaz 'The Fall' is a landmark event it changes things in much the same way as the IPad hardware does. Korg are also at the forefront with some of the best music making apps in the world, the IElectribe being one of them. The triumvirate of talent here; Apple, Gorrillaz and Korg probably tell you all you need to know. This is such a great learning experience and an incredibly inventive fun way to create your own music with little previous musical knowledge..Version: 1.0.1

✓ ThanksFor fixing sound cloud log in. I hated having to log in after every time I bounced around apps. The app is great. Now if only there was a dedicated midi controller like the legacy controllers in the style of electribe. Then we could really turn this into a great machine. Guess Korg nano controllers will have to do. I understand this is a certain band branded unit but it would have been great if they let us import our own samples to promote creativity. ✓ ExcellentMan, this app is addictive, where did all my time go. Don't mind the price it's a great drum machine and gives u an insight into how the Gorillaz can create their unique sounds. Is there anyway the developers could help us tune the pitch for each selection? I want to write a fat bass line but it's too hard to slow down the tempo, record and pray the knob tweaks hit the right tune. ✓ Korg I-Electribe Gorillaz version 1.0Thanks Gorillaz, for the cool PCM/ beats. Thanks Korg again. Easy to trigger samples on this version. Can't seem to get original version of I - Electribe v1.5 to trigger sounds. I tried 2 different controllers with different cables no luck. I tried the Korg Legacy Controller as well w/ powered USB hub no luck. I know the Nano 2 series controllers are due soon, but all my gear works with IMS-20 as well. Korg apps are great with WIST. I'll get another IPad to link your IMS-20, with I-Electribe . Holding back 1 star for no control on original version. Waiting for samplers/ Kaoss / Synth gear . How about a M1.
