IMotion Remote for Negative User Reviews

It's rubbishCouldn't get this to connect from an iPad 1 to an iPhone 3G. If there is a compatibility issue, please mention it. I'm not made of 59 p's you know..Version: 1.0

LiesYou said it worked with ALL devices in your description. That's why I bought iMotion HD!.Version: 1.0

Potentially great app spoiled by connection problemsWould warrant five stars if it would reliably connect to iMotion HD. Just spent twenty minutes making a movie only to have the remote drop the connection. No amount of stopping and starting both apps has sorted the issue. Cannot recommend until the connection issue is fixed..Version: 1.0

Does not connectIpad2 and iPhone 4s, will not connect at all..Version: 1.0

One important questionIf my iPhone 5 and iPad 3 is not finding a wifi connection . My home wifi is working perfectly. What next when there is no sign of your app in systems wifi!!!!!!!.Version: 1.0

Pathetic!0 stars. Laaaaaaaaaammme!!!!!! Worst app ever!.Version: 1.0

Fantastic idea, but unreliable.I'm currently in the works of a stop motion video and this app continues to disconnect and fails to reconnect. It is very frustrating especially because I am using newer devices to make my video. When the app actually works it is a very important part of my stop motion animations, but it has greatly slowed down the process of animating. Please fix this issue..Version: 1.0

Won't quitWorks fairly well if you start it before the iMotionHD app. But this app won't quit. I have to restart the iPad to regain use of it..Version: 1.0

Doesn't connectDoesn't connect.Version: 1.0

Does not workDoes not work would not even give one star.Version: 1.0

Freezes LoadingI was really looking forward to not having to spend three frickin' bucks for a half decent stopmotion animation application, or at least one that actually runs. Update this or the ratings gonna go down to one star. I would give it zero if I could. Big waste of my time..Version: 1.0

UselessI have a 4th gen iPod touch (which you say is covered) and an iPhone 5c. Even if I swap back and forth with the two trying to get one or the other to work, nothing happens. This is crap and your app is useless. If you intend to have people purchase or use this app, make sure it does "what it says on the side of the box".Version: 1.0

OkayIt's okay in the start it was fine but now it needs a update. There are some bug fixes that are needed. Like the connection to two different devices and optimize it for iPhone/iPod 5..Version: 1.0

Hopefully, the start of good thingsThis app, like all the animation apps available for iOS devices is flawed. Sadly there seems to be no one making apps who actually knows how to produce animation properly. The all too common mistake of shoving the onion skin feature in without knowing how it's actually used in the industry is a staple law which no one yet has addressed. This app is the best of its kind. It's seems to b robust and stable enough for basic use. However two points must be addressed in this app for it to be considered worthy of genuine merit. Firstly, the onion skin- if used at all- should be visible on the remote screen - not the device used to grab. This is the working screen and must be used for working! Second. The way professional animators use stop motion software is very rarely with onion skin at all. They use a scrubbing technique where by the previous several frames and the current 'live' frame are played back at the final speed to preview the action so as to make refinements in the movement based on momentum of action. Onion skin tends to only be used in the 2d sector and only then for cleaning up the rough drawings. The actual movement is created by flicking the pages quickly to get the idea of momentum coming from the quick appearance and disappearance of the images. I look forward to future updates in the hope that this industry standard will be taken up by someone who this time seems to be taking this seriously enough to manage it!.Version: 1.0

How do uHow do u use it its not working..Version: 1.0

Not workingIt won’t connect. It just says it’s connecting but never does. Both phones are on the same network. Also, the regular iMotion app, when horizontal, is 4K the only choice? I can’t get it to change..Version: 2.0

AbandonedThis app does not seem to work any more - looks like the developer has abandoned it, as not updated in 5 years!.Version: 1.0

Functional... Could be Improved.I've been using iMotion for a few years now and have thoroughly enjoyed it. (Especially because it works on older iDevices). That said, when I added another iPhone recently, I thought I'd try the iMotion Remote on the new iPhone to trigger iMotion on the old iPhone. I did like the fact that I could see the screen of the camera taking the photos and taking single photos was simple with the screen-tap function. I'd hoped to be able to set the recording iPhone up and then trigger a "session" but this remote doesn't do that. At least not yet. 1. For things like stop-animation it's probably great... Even just as a remote trigger for things Iike group shots, awesome. Basically any scenario where you want the camera to be stationary. 2. Number 1 is also where the problem lies, there are some instances where you may want to set up the camera for a time-lapse session but not want to touch the recording camera once it's set up. 3. My suggestion would be to turn it into a more fully functioning remote: A. Add the ability to set all the time-lapse functions remotely. (other than resolution which is automatically set depending on iPhone orientation) B. Add the ability to trigger a pre-set time lapse session. C. Add the ability to remotely change how the photos are taken (single, mic, etc.) This one may not be needed as much... D. Push notification to the remote if the iDevice taking the photos is running out of space/app crashes etc. There are probably other things but A, B, C and D are what immediately come to mind. 1st Star... Found the recording iPhone quickly, when the iMotion App was set to remote. 2nd Star... I could see what my other iPhone saw. 3rd Star... Taking single photos remotely was simple. 4th Star... future update ? 5th Star... To the right and... No.. Wait... That's something else..Version: 1.0

No connectIpad1 and iphone5. no connect..Version: 1.0

Horrible AppThis app is so bad and doesn't even work. I am using my iPad to take the stop motion pictures but when I use my iPod in iMotion Remote, it freezes and it crashes and doesn't even work even though I put it in Remoted. This is the worst app ever so please update it and fix it NOW!.Version: 1.0

Good butReally needs onion skinning to be of real use.Version: 1.0

Sounds cool but doesn't work for meHave an iPad (1st gen, no camera) & an iPhone 4S & the remote does not connect. I'm using the same network which I know works because I use both my IPad & iPhone as a iTunes remote. I even paid for the upgrade on my iphone for imotion think that may help but nada. Please Help..Version: 1.0

No connectionIPhone 5s and iPad 2 doesn't connect, it may not be comparable with the iPad 2 but was annoyed it didn't work. Could be a very good app!.Version: 1.0

Mac?You guys should make an I motion remote for the Macintosh.Version: 1.0

RemoteWould be a good app if the Iremote works. Only managed to connect my iPhone 4S and iPad 2 once. Tried both devices as the remote but no joy..Version: 1.0

Works, but limitedWorks fine, but is lacking features from the full app. Please add onion skinning, grid and frame number. In the main app you see how many frames have been taken so you can make sure you took the shot, in the remote app there is no confirmation that you've taken it..Version: 1.0

HuhFirst of all, this is a remote control. This doesn't, actually record. Second of all, this is a remote for an app on the same device. What's the point?.Version: 2.0

Was great but now not workingUse this in conjunction with iMotion pro and have been very pleased with it for last couple of years but unfortunately suddenly the remote element has stopped working . It can no longer find my iPhone . Tried everything aaaagh.Version: 2.0

Horrible AppThis app is awful!!! 😡 I thought I only needed one device and I needed two devices..Version: 1.0

4"Please update for the 4" Retina display..Version: 1.0

Remote Doesn't WorkWith iOS 5 and a iPhone 4+4S combination the two iMotion apps would not talk after downloading. There needs to be a review of this software..Version: 1.0

TaylorLoaded to ipad 2 and iphone 4 but would not open on either so deleted!.Version: 1.0
