✓ Good game but the swipe and match puzzle is completely pay to winGame is really good and have played it multiple times in the past however after coming back and seeing the swipe to match puzzle, it is so stupidly pay to win and so irritating considering the amount of time I’ve spent on it..Version: 16.0.0
✓ Good time waster but has issuesA good app for passing the time. Similar to Eden, developed by Channel 4. Has a few issues though. - Facebook connect does not work. I’ve confirmed the connection at least 10 times and no reward gems have been awarded to me. - Video adverts for the daily wheel spin thing never load. The screen goes black and then the app crashes. - Following this crash you’re met with a prompt assign if you’d like to continue with the current village or load your previous village from the cloud. Choosing to load your progress from the cloud results in an infinite loop of this pop-up, until you give up and choose to continue with the current village, losing some of your progress. - Took a look at the prices for things like gems and laughed so hard. They’re way overpriced compared to similar games. Another game overtaken by corporate greed rather than the unified goal of providing entertainment, sadly..Version: 8.2.2
✓ If you don’t have Facebook, or don’t want to link it, don’t waste your time.Once you get to a certain point in the game, you are required to link your account to Facebook to add a friend. I don’t have Facebook, and wouldn’t link it if I did, especially in light of recent events. Having posted a review similar to this before, the developed responded stating that I could add an electronically generated friend through their new set up. I tried that. It points you to the electronic friend, you click add, and Facebook pops up to select who to add. You can not link a friend without using Facebook. All this time, at level 50 and I will never compete most tasks in game. One example: you need the ‘friend’ to open the spinery, and that is just one example! You also need them to rehab a juice plant that only makes juice twice prior to friend. After all of this time spent on the game, there is no way to complete certain ‘tasks’ assigned without linking to Facebook. I have played this game for WAY too many hours only to discover that this is the end. Sad part? I really liked it. It states in the game that you can buy crystals to skip this task. Not true. I purchased and used crystals to pass the task. What happened? THE VERY NEXT TASK WAS TO ADD A FRIEND. Don’t get caught up in this purchase trap like I did. It ends in a dead end as well. Please don’t get caught up in this game only to hit the same end I did. Save yourself the time and download something achievable..Version: 9.2.3

✓ Punished for ProgressingI love this game and I have been playing for almost 10 years. I’ve reached a point where I’m more and more frustrated by the production ratios for various buildings. Pretty much every building gives you more bang for your buck if you’re running the quickest jobs all day long, but I work a full time job, so I have to run the least productive jobs because I can’t spend all day on my phone anymore. Farmer’s Bay is the worst for this because of the farm and fishing. You can’t even select a more productive job once you upgrade the building, because the building only has one job option and you get less and less return on investment as you upgrade the building. The ostrich farm gives you 2.4 eggs per farming kit at level 1 (12 for 5), and 0.35 eggs per kit at level 10 (26 for 75). Now I’m having to just get many level 1 buildings because I’ve wasted so much time doing what should actually be best. Dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb game.Version: 14.5.0

✓ LoveThe game is great, the extras for purchase are reasonable but I only buy them on sales, and I’ve enjoyed this game for years. I’d like to see better organization of the building list. For example, perhaps a tab system? That way we still know where the buildings are available but they’re out of the way for where they’re not. Currently, there is too many grayed out buildings that can’t be built on certain islands but it doesn’t say where they can be built. It looks cluttered. The zeppelins take way too long as well. One other thing, I’m trying to upgrade my roads for better happiness and I’m having to delete and replace one segment at a time. ✓ I enjoyed the game until update from yesterdayBuildings got redesigned and now I cannot recognise what is what. Also, some of them got the same color as the ground and I cannot even see it on the phone. I have to click and read each building to read the name first. Some of the same type of buildings look dramatically different depending on the level of their level? Why? Too much to remember. Why rock minings look like swimming pools now? I don’t get it. Other buildings got so much like the background that if I wouldn’t know I have some sort of construction there I would not even realized there is something there. I enjoyed the game because how small effort I had to invest. It rested my mind. Now I have to think big time to just got an idea what the building, if any, I’m looking at. I want old design back. ✓ Almost impossible to playI understand the game was made for money, but now about every 10 seconds there are pop outs to buy crystals, to buy energy, etc. Also almost half of the screen is covered by icons nagging to buy something. There should be also a possibility to get a quick transaction cancelation when paid with crystals as someone might just keep clicking without looking and buy accidentally as it’s impossible to play reading these endless dialogues. ✓ Athlantean Island IssuesI enjoy the game and the update with the Athlantean Island, however I cannot progress any further on it. I have got to the ‘Cook a dish of power’ part of the Ancient Temple island, but there is no option to progress further. I believe this is as a result of using resources to get the bonus items (e.g. the guardian and maiden items), but this left me with no more resources to progress further. There isn’t much point in having a bonus island with no possible way to progress further if I get the bonus items along the way. I also cannot go to other parts of the island to gain resources as it gives the message “Don’t rush chief! Take your time completing the quest chain. This object will be available to you soon.” And directs me back to the part where I need to get resources..Version: 14.9.1

ASK YOUR PLAYERS WHAT THEY WANT The Building Hammer: How about a button that allows us to choose whether we want huge ugly, garish icons that force us to scroll for ever, OR a nice compact display that allows us to see twice as many buildings (which we had) How about a button so we can filter out all the building that we can NOT build on a particular island. How about a button to display only active quest buildings Whilst you are at it. How about fixing CHAT in the clan game so that you do not have to keep closing the game and restarting it to get the latest messages from the other clan members. How about being able to add your clan members easily to your neighbours list. How about being able to chat one to one with your other clan members. How about putting the resources button to the far right and displaying a single column, so that you can keep it displayed whilst choosing which resources to build. ✓ PushyThe game is nice, but I'm really not a fan of the strategy you are using to get money off of people. You set the prices RIDICULOUSLY high (which is an understatement) so when you compare your "amazing" deals with those prices, everyone would be like "Wow, that's so cheap! I better buy it!" But the truth is, it is definitely NOT worth buying ANYTHING in the app. Like, come on. Seriously? A hundred dollars for a building in an app? I get that you want to make money, like any game developer would, but the way you do it ruins the game. Buying things with real currency is supposed to be optional, but you're being way too pushy with it. I would be okay with the high prices if you didn't constantly shove it into people's faces, so that if we aren't planning to buy anything we could at least forget about it and enjoy the game. It just seems like you're trying to make up for your lack of popularity. It's also very discouraging seeing all the things you could have if you spent ridiculous amounts of money on the game. ✓ Used to be better!! Get it together insight!!Update: still believe this game has turned from a fun quest filled game, to one that is ever increasingly more difficult and forcing me to spend what small amount of gems I have. Also the sheer amount of quests down the side that don't even have anything to do with the island I am on makes it impossible to follow what i should be doin 😡. I have played this game 3 times due it not being able to be saved originally. I am finally getting somewhere again and land expansion prices seem to of gone up ten fold since I originally unlocked it all. Also finding quests items are frustratingly difficult, and constantly require gems (which I refuse to do) I understand money has to be made somewhere but the price of gems is expensive even when there is a so called 'sale'. This game is also not very compatible with the older iPad it crashes constantly unless am disconnected from the Internet (making parts of the game unplayable) the worst island is the first one, it crashes with in 2 mins of going there so I can only do one thing at a time. ✓ Quests are ridiculousWell I’ve been playing for a while. Got so far and I’m totally gobsmacked by the ridiculous tasks I’m being made to do just to get a marble mine. I’ve spent weeks doing nothing but grow wood with all my people just so I can get some nugget looking things just so I can get the marble. No. Now I have to build something else first which means I have to make loads and loads of some rainbow discs to build this other thing. So now I guess I’m back to more wood, more nuggets as you need nuggets to make the rainbow things. Still no marble so I can’t build any more houses so I can’t speed up any production. This game is now totally pointless. I am never progressing because of these stupid tasks. I know why they do it, it’s to make me crack and spend loads of money. I won’t. ✓ Not bad but has glitchesThe slow progress of the game kind of works for me and stops me from spending too much time on the app in one go. ✓ Was fun now overwhelmingI’ve played this game for approx 2 years attaining level 116, although the lands are interesting at first it becomes very tiresome when you go for the headliner of each of them to find that it takes so much resources which are hard to get in terms of time, and the tasks on the left of the screen just pile up because they are quite unachievable. Seriously contemplating ditching the game. Some tasks are from events that no longer provide the resource required and the support team are not very good either, just fobbing you off with empty words. ✓ Unable to to do taskThere’s so many task you can’t do because you can’t build the correct buildings. When you get the other task it goes on and on when you look all over the web this is an issue when it came out but they never fixed it nor have they give out the correct process to get all the buildings unlock. They prefer you to spend all your money to get through the task. When you contact the support they give you the vague answer when you reply it take a weeks for them to reply. ✓ Don’t buy In App Purchases.I really enjoyed the Game so much I thought it was worth an in App purchase. I received my item that was supposed to deliver every 2hrs, so I set an independant timer and waited for it to remind me, when the 2 hrs were up. On the two hour mark it still had 13 minutes remaining, so I waited and collected and timed another 2hrs, and sure enough it was late again and again and to insult me further the tax man would not collect from it. So I contacted support - they told me to take a screenshot of the timer - which proves nothing and does not help them work out where the problem is as I know the timer was correct from checking the clock when setting the timer. Their go to response even if it make no sense is Take a Screenshot without any explanation to why’s and wherefores. ✓ Cute gameSo far, this is charming. It only gets three stars because the pressure to buy stuff from the App Store is frequent, unrelenting, and frankly annoying. If I am enjoying a game, I am more than happy to "tip" the developers by making a few modest purchases. Being reminded that this is an option every two to three minutes however is a deal breaker. ✓ Could be good but needs paring downThis game begins well and promises progress but becomes utterly bogged down through the introduction of a character called a Quokka which ends up creating complete confusion and distraction so that it becomes impossible to make sensible decisions to allow for progress. Get rid of the stupid and infuriating Quokka and it could yet be a good game. As it is, it falls between two stools by trying to appeal to both strategy enthusiasts and to small kids who want a cuddly toy and pet game. My guess is that it satisfies neither. ✓ Terrible updatesI have downloaded the last two updates and now the game isn’t loading properly. With the most recent one the game is all glitchy and I think is showing parts from different maps on one map it’s getting to the point where I can’t play the game anymore and I can’t see a lot of things like if I build something I can’t see it. The whole marble fjord map is just white. The only way I know where anything is, is by clicking that little house shadow button at the bottom right. Some icons or buildings don’t seem to load or have drapes or covers over them, it’s so weird it’s getting worse and worse by the day. ✓ Good game, support iffyThe game is entertaining and quite time consuming so terrific for all the time at home but you should understand at the start that the support is lacking. The menus to choose from are incomplete but you have to go through them to leave a message for an actual person. Then they leave a message that doesn’t solve your problem but leave a menu to choose from A or B neither of which works so the conversation, such that it was, stalls there. Additionally, when there is a glitch with a purchase the go to answer is no refund even if it is a limited, one item purchase and you are charged twice. There is no discussion, no recourse. You are simply informed that it was a non refundable purchase and the “conversation” stalls in a menu that did not resolve the problem. I would like to take this opportunity to say that it is not an actual purchase if no item was received since you can’t make that point in the support conversation. I highly recommend staying away from the in app purchases for this reason. The game could be enhanced with those purchases but it’s not worth the risk, the irritation and the inevitable disappointment..Version: 12.9.1

It’s also very difficult to achieve some of the tasks as you can’t ever find keys to do the Dino or snowman events. ✓ Tons of resource-costing glitches since the updateVery fun game, but hate the most recent update. Can’t see the quests without opening the sidebar every time. Used to keep the inventory list open on screen as I assigned the workers on a given island, but can’t do that anymore. The game freezes and crashes much more frequently than it used to. Worse, resources sent by zeppelin just disappear sometimes now - they are taken out of inventory from the sending island, but never arrive at the recipient island. And maybe my least favorite glitch of all - sometimes after assigning tasks to all my workers on a given island, I’ll check back a day later and the progress of each task has not progressed at all since I left it - even 20 min tasks that were assigned a full day before are still in process. ✓ Awful game playI am using the iPad version . I used to play this over 5 years ago on a windows laptop, using the Facebook version and really enjoyed it. Now I have time to play some games again was excited to find it for IPad. What a let down looks great but game play is awful it now allows you to press on watch a video to improve your chances of extra crops and rewards. Every time I tried it got a blank screen and the game crashed taking me back to where I was when I first logged on tried to contact via the game and yes all that did was allow a few minutes interaction before that crashed. ✓ Wrongly accusedDo NOT put money into this game! They will swear up and down you cheated if you ever lose your game and THEY reset it and give you your gems back to get you back where you were!! That’s EXACTLY what happened to me. I bought a new tablet a year ago and they had to restart my game. They ask me for receipts and I provided them in the email and they gave them back to me to get back where I was in the game. Fast forward a year, I bought a new iPhone, connected my game and now I’ve lost every dime ive ever spent in this game and I’ve spent HUNDREDS of dollars on gems 😭 I regret EVER playing this game! They accused me of cheating so I will NEVER play another game run by game insight bc they are thieves and will steal your money and then block you from your game. ✓ Fun but....I like the game, fun to play but there seem to be way too many things on the go at once, it’s best if played hourly which isn’t possible for everyone so I know some tasks will never be completed. The time it takes to save up resources to progress is a little slow and you could give tasks that will help move the game along. However, my biggest issue is the constant crashing, I will spend 10 minutes collecting items in the game to have it randomly crash and save nothing. I’ve done the same tasks sometimes four times before giving up. I have also left the game to come back where it didn’t save. ✓ Hours of fun for nothing?!I have played hours and hours on this game. However I think I’m just coming to realize why! There appears to be a glitch in the game with transferring your items from one island to the other (which is absolutely required since you can’t make things on some islands but have tasks that require those items). Last night I sent hundreds of rainbows from the fjord to my main island and it should only have taken approx. 5 hours for each of the 3 balloons. They never arrived today and my inventory was reduced. So WHERE’D THEY GO?! I think it been happening for some time and can only imagine how much has been lost. Its so frustrating because I really love the game and don’t even mind that it can be a little hard or takes time. But it’s reallllyyyyy hard if the items are being scheduled to transfer, never do and then you just lose them. What’s the point of playing?! This needs to be looked at ASAP because I can’t justify continuing if I’m crippled by inability to collect resources. ✓ Fun for a while, and then they steal from you.I’m a 100+ level player and have worked with them through their (many) bugs. Now they are being outright trifling and unethical. The game comes to a full stop without the ability to unlock territories on Farmers Bay. Unless you are some kind of wizard, you will have to do this with gems. You can buy gems with real money (obviously their preference), or by game play and clan tournaments. They will outright steal your gameplay gems and claim that you have spent them on nonsense. They will accept no responsibility for gems disappearing via bugs in the tournament reward distribution, even when clearly illuminated. You WILL come to a point where you cannot progress because they “disappear”your gems. I use gems for one thing only- Expansions on Farmers Bay. I don’t “accidentally” spend them on anything else and yes, I keep confirmations on, so there’s absolutely no chance of “accidental” spending. They’re unethical and they’re stealing. This is a game. Plenty others out there that are worth your time. This one’s not it. Don’t pay to progress. Pay to support a good game. I like Don’t Starve, Crashlands, Big Farm Mobile Harvest, Plants vs Zombies , Dark Meadows, The Room, Fallout Shelter, Monument... really no reason to get nickle-and-dimed by these jerks..Version: 12.1.0
✓ Fun beginning but then too slowThere are too few challenges for long time players and it takes too long to find objects to complete missions. When you need to find several of an object it takes weeks of consistent daily playing to find them all. The buildings are too simple, they should take some of several different resources to build, e.g. Glass and marble and timber. That way you'd have to keep making all resources. Since the Christmas development on Marble Point there have been no new challenges at all. There is no point continuing to play there. ✓ Why make it impossible!I started playing this game because it’s something I can turn to when it’s my time at night and it helps me relax (I have a few others that I play too.). What I find frustrating is that everything is so expensive, food is used for everything, storage is limited which again, you have to spend food to build. Making enough food takes bloody ages, the house don’t give much money either which you need to purchase, build and kill those things that set light to your village if you don’t get them in time. Quest times are ridiculous, upgrades are becoming impossible as well. When you want to expand its costs 1000’s to do so which in turn takes for eve because you physically do NOT earn money to expand when needed. Game needs an overall, prices need looking into, quest times need to change and the earning need to go up..Version: 9.8.1

The other side of the screen is also cluttered with offers. There should be an arrow or something to move them off your screen as they can get in the way. Long story: I played this game for quite some time and purchased gems in order to produce necessary resources and send them to various islands in the game. One of the islands suddenly lost all of its resources and didn’t register any of the decorations I’d placed there, so I lost workers and bait levels. I’ve gone round and round with customer service, doing EVERYTHING they have told me to do while enduring their implications and accusations that I’m not following their directions. The problem is still not fixed after months of attempting to get this resolved. I’ve had to repeatedly remind them that they have not yet fixed the problem. I am now attempting to get my money back since they have now demonstrated that they can’t deliver a fully functioning game. They tried to buy me off with 10 gems (worth about a dime). ✓ Fun at first, but confusing quests, becoming nearly impossible to progressNew update: Theres lots to do in this game, but the further in you go, the more quests you have to fulfill to move ahead. This is fine, but (at least to me!) there is no way to know exactly which quests, or in what order to complete the quest!! So you just continue to guess at the quest you must complete. I was ready to quit at one point because it was getting impossible to build the marble factory. I had to reach out to customer service at least four times, each time their responses telling me different quests I needed to complete. I did finally complete it, but now I’m attempting to do another action and being told I must complete quests before I can complete!! I have no idea which quests, or in what order, once again. This needs to be fixed! The quests need to be numbered, or kept in some type of order. Completing actions is getting discouraging rather than fun anymore. Update: This game is really good! ✓ Good but buggyI used to play this years ago, and when I got a new iPad I redownloaded and had to start again (no big deal). It’s fun, I like the look of the game, some of the waiting times for upgrades are long (but again no big deal). However I have noticed a few bugs. At first I thought it might be the iPad but it’s up to date and I’m still seeing them: - can’t always place buildings (e.g. building a new house) I try and put it where I want to, but then the yes/no buttons are the other side of the screen and if you try to tap confirm but it thinks you want to move the house, and then you’re stuck in a loop because the X button doesn’t work either - randomly zooming in, sometimes this happens when I try to move across my village, and sometimes it happens when I’m not even touching the screen - the race quests don’t always count - as in, if I have to produce X number of resources in this amount of time, it will count the first round of production, but when I’m back in an hour or two the progress has either re-set and the timer is still going, or it doesn’t count the resources made. ✓ Frustrating!The idea of the game itself is great- addictive! But the quests and costs are too extreme! Unless your willing to play 24 hours a day and put all your hard earned cash into In app purchases you won’t be getting very far! To top it off.. timers are incorrect, gems and coins go missing, and despite taking a lifetime to collect - you can accidentally make purchases by the incorrect slip of a finger and lose all the gains you’ve made! Because of that I signed in with my Apple Game Center account and connected with my Facebook to prevent loosing my progress. However one day I reloaded the game and lost EVERYTHING!!! Even after I signed in with my Game Center account! I contacted the tech support and I was told that signing in with social account won’t ensure the progress is safe. They asked me to provide my email and told me someone will contact me later. I checked my email everyday BUT NOBODY DID!!! I figured out that I had to chat with them through the game, with someone I can’t even tell whether they’re real human! They asked for my email but didn’t contact me through email, and they closed my request because I did respond in the game! Even in the game, I was told that I need to play the rest game till level 5 and contact them again, and one of my islands may still unavailable. However, the amount of space it takes up, and the reliance on adding Facebook friends to progress in some of the tasks knocked that fifth star off. ETA: Further star lost as there is no facility to recover progress when changing devices. I had all islands unlocked and was level 73: upgraded my iPad and had to start again. The chief’s house uses too many of your needed resources, the boat game is useless, the one game the I actually liked (panda event) makes you start from scratch every time the event reappears. ✓ I love it!I really enjoy this game. I used to play it back in 2013. I had to start over since it’s been so long my game dats was basically lost. I love the idea of this game. How you get to complete tasks, expand your land and venture to new islands. However, there are a few kinks. I don’t like how you only have two storage spaces and have to pay for the rest. It’s nearly impossible to redesign your island when only two items can go into storage. I don’t like how if you dissembled something, you get nothing for it. In the beginning levels of the game they make you buy sun tiles to get mahogany planks. Well I had to buy probably like fifteen or twenty of them. I don’t like them so I don’t really want to keep them but I know I won’t get any sun stones back if I get rid of them. Another drawback is the length of times and amount of supplied things take. I’m only on level 24 and I have the mission to buy the area where the pilots set up camp. But that piece of land is 400,000 coins. I can barely get to 50,000 coins without having to spend them on other things that also cost a lot. And having to wait 10+ hours for something to be done is super annoying. Im still going to play the game because it’s super addictive but I really wish they would make some improvements. Update: the new visuals of the game are not that great. The method of acquiring neighbors in the game is awkward at best. You have to send Facebook invites to your friends. None of my friends play this game, so I have no neighbors. You really need neighbors in this game. 2). Support is terrible. When you log a ticket, they come back with a pat answer and close the ticket. You have no chance to ask questions or get clarification. So you have to log another ticket to get clarification. They give another pat answer and close the ticket again. Very frustrating. When they are tired of dealing with you, you will get the pat answer, ‘we are working on it. The fix will be included in a future update.’ No work around offered. 3) There are often problems with purchases. You don’t get what you paid for…You’ll get something, just not what you paid for. If your not paying close attention you may not realize the problem. So, you go back to support for more fun and games. My personal experience was 2 out of 3 purchases had problems. But no, I spend $10 and I get a building where I have to spend gems to get anything more than 20 minutes (and even the 20 minutes costs an obscene amount of food). Completely false advertising and I would like my money back on this item. I’ve tried going through Apple/iTunes and they say they can’t help. My next step it this review in the hopes of getting my money refunded. If this doesn’t work, I will be going through my credit card company. I also don’t appreciate being bombarded with pop-up ads to get me to spend money while in game..Version: 9.0.1
✓ Lousy Customer Service SupportI’ve played this game on both Windows 10 and iPad. While I enjoy the game I’ve had to get use to the lack of quality support from Game Insight. Buildings that are supposed to be available at certain levels (ie Stone Processing Mill at lvl 17 and Main Building 5) do not happen. I had to spend 24 gems to fast track certain quests because the drop rates were almost nonexistent or they required Processed Stone that I had to wait until I got to the Marble Fjord, build a Zeppelin and transfer it back to the Isle of the Ancients. Needless to say I am now lvl 30 and finally getting the starter quests. Heavens know what lvl I will be before I can actually build the Stone Processing Mill and Pig Farm. All Game Insight gives for support is continue playing. Combine that with the transport of items from one island to another not being credited accurately, if at all. Makes the game extremely frustrating..Version: 14.0.1
