Same product without Apple WatchI purchased this shortly before buying my Apple Watch, only to realize that there is an identical app, for the exact same price, just for the Apple Watch compatibility. I wanted to do an exchange, but when I realized this, I was over the typical “90 day” return. I contacted the developers, who said there was nothing they could do and to contact Apple. I contacted Apple, who said to contact the developer. When I told Apple I already had, they said there was nothing they could do. I’m pretty frustrated that I have to buy the exact same app 2x just to be able to have Apple Watch compatibility..Version: 6.8.12

Unwanted notificationsI find the program really easy to use and have running alongside my music. The training works for anyone! However a gripe with the app - recently had a notification telling me it was time to get that “summer body” and to “run off that winter weight”. Honestly it seems unprofessional for a fitness app to focus on weight and self-image, and has made me reconsider if I want to keep using this one when there are alternatives out there..Version: 6.8.20

Apple Watch averageI wanted a running app that I could use on my watch so I could leave my phone at home. This app does an okay job of meeting this need. I paid for a premium subscription but I’m disappointed with this app overall. Good bits - Works without phone - The workouts are generally decent and help to build up to longer runs - gps tracking seems to be accurate Bad bits - watch interface is horrid, you have to sync to phone between each run (no way to skip a week or redo a day for example) - I’ve lost data using the sync feature and had my progress reset - advertised Apple Music integration is terribly buggy and does not work - notifications are annoying and will remind me to go for a run whilst I am on a run using the app 🤦🏽‍♂️.Version: 6.8.28

Great when it worksOften goes to white page and nothing.Version: 6.8.18

A good startAs a health and fitness professional, I will encourage my patients to use whatever tools work for them. This one is popular and I’m giving it a go myself. My first impression is that it is good for accountability. A long second to an actual running partner, this app still may help us to get out the door. The progression is simple, yet walking alone should be the first step from the couch for 1-6 weeks, depending on one’s fitness. What is lacking for me is that other side of running- the sprints, tempo runs, fartleks, hill work, etc. Some may argue that C210K is powerful in its simplicity. I just see it as lacking. If running a 10K truly is your end goal, fine. But if you want to improve your fitness and longevity, I recommend adding core exercises, carries, toe and heal walks, and much more that could easily be integrated into the app..Version: 5.8

UnfriendlyIt does what is needed but not very friendly or encouraging, which is definitely needed when first starting on this! Plus need to pay for Pro version if you want any stats which I thought were included by how that was described. Will stick with C25K for now.Version: 6.8.7

DisappointingNo voice cues or intuitive way to enable them, Lock Screen turned itself off, workout step (the entire running section) skipped to cool down 10 minutes in with no undo button. I’ve just come from the nhs c25k app and this doesn’t come close.Version: 6.8.28

Great but poor sound qualityReally amazing running program to make running a 10k achievable but in the last few updates sound is very poor when the phone is locked. If you leave your phone open the sound is fine but it drains the battery to keep it open. With this problem you have to check your phone while running in case you miss the prompts. Difficult when phone is attached to your arm or waist..Version: 6.4

Good but needs work. The basics of this app are good, however there are some improvements needed. Firstly the lack of any automated sync of data between Apple Watch & iPhone is so stupid these days. Instead users are forced to run a clunky manual sync each time. What year are we in? Secondly, for anyone that wants to use any other fitness tracking app to export/record their activity will be disappointed. Not only does this app not export map/gps data, there are also issues with pace, distance details being shared to some apps..Version: 7.2.2

Nike is betterUsed once and then went back to Nike that offers pace and distance free of charge. My sister is a newbie runner and had recommended this but once I got her to try Nike run club she switched to that too..Version: 6.8.3

App was great.. then updated.. lost big progressReally loved using this app. Until today... There were problems syncing from the watch since the update and now today it completely lost my workout. Uninstalling, unsubscribing... There’s better apps elsewhere that don’t screw you like this i’m so annoyed..Version: 6.8.25

I don’t understand why your app doesn’t work on landscapeI don’t understand why your app won’t work on landscape...Version: 6.8.7

Not everyone lives in AmericaI was disappointed in the lack of customisation available. There is no way to change the distance measurements to metric, which is interesting seeing as the app is called 10K..Version: 5.3

Not nearly as useful as Active’s appI definitely like active’s couch to 5k app better. Unfortunately I don’t like their 10K workouts. I wish that this app would stop trying to sell me things...I’ve already purchased the pro version...which just downloaded another app to my phone but didn’t sync the two. I want to run this app on my phone and be able to see which interval I’m on on my Apple Watch but I don’t think I can do that. Super frustrating all around. Also different beep sounds would be great for half way and 1 min left. I started running at the halfway beep bc it took too long to tell me what the beep was for..Version: 6.8.7

So Fed Up of Rip Offs Like ThisI’ve had enough of apps pretending to be free when they aren’t. There’s hidden costs everywhere. This one gives you a running plan, but if you want to see your stats you need to upgrade ie pay money. I suggest scrapping these rip-off merchants, devise your own plan and use RUNKEEPER. Gives your stats for free at least..Version: 6.8.11

Start walking, start running too lowThe prompts for Start walking , start running volume level is too low and no apparent way to raise the volume when listening to a 3rd party music. Therefore not fit for purpose. Annoying. If you can fix that. Plus overpriced subscription model let’s it down..Version: 6.8.8

Read the Privacy PolicyHere’s a little snippet from their privacy policy. Note the app continuously does this, even when running in the background regardless of if there’s an active workout in progress. “We and other third parties may use the information (a) to customize ads in this or other apps (for instance, if your device is often located at or near music venues, you might receive offers for music tickets); (b) to measure effectiveness of those ads; (c) for disease prevention and research, security, anti-crime and law enforcement; or (d) for market, civic or other research regarding aggregated traffic patterns (for instance, a company that analyzes shopping trends might want to learn whether more or fewer devices are seen near malls or in other shopping districts).”.Version: 6.8.23

NOT for Apple WatchDon’t waste your time. This should be zero stars because app is not at all fit for purpose. This app is not the one for Apple Watch and it needs to say so. This tells you it’s free and then when you try adding it to your watch it says you must subscribe. I subscribed and even waited overnight to see if it would work. But the message that you have to pay never goes away and the app never works on the Watch. I looked online people say you need the Pro version but to me that should be what you’re upgrading to when you pay in the “free” app. Seriously misleading and the developer needs to make this clearer to people that this cannot be used with Apple Watch if you want to leave your phone at home. Which is kind of the point for runners owning an Apple Watch..Version: 6.8.18

DisappointedI am absolutely disappointed!! I used free version in the past and I loved it. Now when I bought this app a couple of weeks ago Every time I close my phone case my workout stops. A couple of times I only noticed this I a middle of a training. And today after 6 hard weeks of trainings I just finished my next training I discovered than past 6 weeks have gone! Deleted! Disappeared! I’m so upset and sad. Feels like all my progress and hard work is gone! I may just try different app. So disappointing ....Version: 6.8.25

Nothing to see hereLots of running apps that are better than this one... and free. No stats or anything other than a clock unless you fork out the $.Version: 6.8.11

Do not purchase unless you want to run with your phoneHow is this app getting such high ratings? I paid for the pack. C25K works with Apple Watch after some fiddling 10K and subsequent apps are not compatible I would like a refund. Product is not as advertised nor fit for purpose..Version: 6.8.27

Great to get you started but!!I love that this app is a cheap option to get you started on a fitness journey. The simplicity of it is what makes it wonderful. If you’re wanting to get serious, though, this app ain’t it! It is lacking sprints, fartleks, etc. I also recommend adding cross training to help out. I also hate all the glitches with the watch app. I paid for the subscription because I HATE carrying my phone but there is often problems with retaining the data and syncing. This app WILL get you to a 10K though and it is easy to follow and stick to. This app helped me love running again..Version: 6.8.23

DisappointedThis whole program used to be free. Now only the first week is? It’s a shame you’ve lost sight of the goal of helping people instead all about the cash..Version: 7.2.2

Only use if you want to payThe most recent update means the ad-version (free) is only available to week 2. Used to be available for the whole program with ads. I now can’t access my week 4 data without paying. Unacceptable with no warning..Version: 7.2.1

CrashingGreat for steady progress and love everything about it until the last couple of weeks it started crashing. This has completely put me off! Use a different app from the start!!.Version: 6.9.5

Wish I could use without location!I like the app and don’t even mind paying for the service. However, I wish there was a way to turn location off, both for data privacy and practicality. I do a mix of indoor/outdoor running and hate when I drain my battery with location services while running on the treadmill. Additionally, calories burned are very inaccurate. This is not the app’s fault; it is incredibly difficult to calculate the calories burned in an activity, especially when users vary in height, weight, body fat, sex, and intensity. The calorie estimation is not valuable enough to warrant mandated location tracking. I was disappointed when I read the Privacy Policy and learned that this app sells data to advertisers, both when the app is running and not, even though this is a paid service. Be sure to opt out via the privacy policy if this concerns you, or toggle location services on/off as you use and close the app. ZenLabs, please consider allowing users to use your product without location services..Version: 7.2.4

Content locked behind subscriptionAdvancing is now locked behind the subscription, as of a recent update. I was 2 weeks into the 5to10k programme, and my progress has now been wiped, despite advertising you can complete it without paying. Disappointed..Version: 7.2.1

Was great, new glitchThis is the second time I’ve decided to use the app to get back in running shape. The intervals are very reasonable, and the app is very easy to use. However, this past week I’ve had a lot of trouble with the app retaining the data during my runs, and completely shutting down of my screen goes dark or if I decide to switch to a new podcast. When I emailed support, they simple told me not to run this app in the background and to not let my screen go dark. This wasn’t a problem in the past, and now I need to TOTALLY drain my battery by running with the screen on if I want to use this app? This is a new problem I’ve experienced, and I’m disappointed with how my concern was handled..Version: 6.8.19

Does NOT work with Apple WatchI loved c25k. Worked really well and synchronized with Apple Watch perfectly because I don’t like to run carrying a phone. Then bought c210k, a new Apple 6 watch and a new iPhone 12 Pro. Zen labs now makes you pay a subscription for Apple Watch solo running and IT DOESNT WORK. I lost workout after workout because the Watch data simply will not upload to the iPhone app. I reinstalled, I rebooted Watch and phone. Nothing. Wrote to Zen Labs and they said issue was resolved. It was, for a day. Two days later, same problem. I am hugely frustrated..Version: 6.8.32

Worst timingThis app pesters you about other products and services at an extremely annoying time. For example, when I try to start the timer, and sync it with my treadmill, the app will ask if I want to track stats before the timer begins. This is incredibly annoying. Just as I begin my movement is the WORST time to ask me if I want some other feature. Ask me at the end..Version: 6.8.7

Convoluted, busy, expensiveI was looking for an app to make my watch give me intervals for a couch to 10K. This app is advertised to do just that. However: Poor watch integration: the watch app is stand alone from the phone app. They do not talk. You have to open the watch app and the phone app at the same time to sync, or you don’t get the workout logged in activity. Cluttered, thirsty app: 80% of this (expensive, subscription) app is it marketing you other apps. The rest of the functionality is bare bones. Poor support: after the trial I had issues with syncing the watch with the app. I wrote support and never heard back. Bad workout: on top of all of this, it’s not even a decent interval workout. Week 5 workout 3 is “run for 20 mins”. Week six “run for 10 WALK 3(!!!) run 10”. It’s nonsense. I’ve paid $13 already for this junk and I’m dropping it mid-subscription for a new app..Version: 6.8.23

10KIt needs better option no such as voices and tempo of the run. But fairly good app. Used it for years!!.Version: 6.8.2

Great for training, but problemsI was so happy to be training for a 10 K using this app. It has been fantastic and building up endurance. My one problem is app worked great for the first 11 weeks but then it stopped working altogether. I have to have the app open, but if my phone “falls asleep”, the. The app kicks me out. I tried “locking” it, but it also would randomly shut down. The problem started three months ago and today it is still not resolved..Version: 6.9.5

Not what I expectedI downloaded this app to get in better shape. When I started I was in terrible shape and had not run in about a year. I liked how it gradually works your way up to more running, however only having it go 3 days a week I don’t think is enough to really build your stamina. I also hate that the app doesn’t track your mileage and calories correctly. I started running with my Fitbit and found that the app is recording about 1/4 mile less than I’m actually doing and sometimes recording 50-75 calories less that what I’m actually burning. So when looking at your progress it is really off which is very frustrating. Overall I think this app is ok, but if you want to be able to run a 10K you need to be running more than 3x per week..Version: 6.5

Great app with missing features!First off, for those who are new to running (like me) this is probably one of the better apps out there. It’s helped me quite a bit in the past. I stopped running for a couple years and just started up again. The reason for the 3* stars is mainly for the fact that I purchased this app $4–6 (don’t remember the exact price at the time) but the one feature that I really wanted was placed behind a subscription paywall and that’s Apple Watch integration. For something so basic and users by many, this should be standard which the “Pro” purchase. Anyway, great app but lacks the feature I wanted most, and was placed behind a subscription. Unless that’s changed, I’ll be using Interval Pro..Version: 6.8.27

Usually I like this app but...Since I received the notification about the Zen Unlimited update just a few minutes ago, the app will no longer open. At all. Even after a reboot, switching off wireless, etc. Might try reinstalling, but if I have to go that far, something is clearly broken..Version: 6.8.22

What’s happened??This app was great but since the last update it’s gone very bland in that it is very red and white. Still does the same brilliant job but just not as good as it was. I now find it almost impossible to read the times whilst running as the digits are so small on a white background and occasionally catch the back button whilst holding the phone in my hand when I run. Come on zenlabs!!!! Add some colour and make it a pleasure to use again!!.Version: 6.8.2

Nice, but...So, I’m a recreational runner and love apps to jump start after finishing different races. I paid the $6+ to upgrade to see the mileage/calories burned and it’s still not displaying. I have an iPhone 7, my notifications are on, I’ve been running outside, I’m able to switch between the screens for calories, mileage etc., I just started Wk2 and I’m still not seeing the stats. I’m now relying on my Fitbit & Garmin 😔. Also, why not add a function or capability where this information can still be viewed or gather after the workout. Can someone reply, please....Version: 6.8.7

10KExpensive and too many in app purchases. The app should do the basics like Music without having to buy . I’ll stick to the other running app for now.Version: 6.8.25

Fun and effective appI have used this a few times to get myself in ship shape for a 10k. It does have some frustrating features though. The “motivational” notifications telling you to dust off your sneakers and run I feel are condescending. Especially when they pop up an hour after i just ran and used the app. The app also pauses itself or shuts off in my pocket. I wish it would remain steady and need a few steps before it shuts down..Version: 7.1.7

UnreliableWhoever developed this app obviously doesn’t run and doesn’t know much about iPhones.Version: 6.8.4

The timers are off.Years ago, when this app came out, I could hit start on this app at the same time I hit start on my treadmill and the timers lined up perfectly. Now, a few “improvements” and updates later (you can now buy a lot more options/add-ons/features), and the timers don’t align. The app always ends up many seconds behind my treadmill. I used to wear my phone in an armband so I couldn’t check why the timers fell behind. I upgraded my phone, and it no longer fits in my armband, so I had to put it on stand beside my treadmill. Doing this, I was able to watch the app and figure out the issue. The timers end on :00 and switch over and start at :00, giving you an extra second per interval. If they fix this and stop asking for money and ratings, this could be a fantastic app again..Version: 5.8

Annual pass does not work across accountsI bought an annual pass on the 5k app, which was supposed to transfer to this but it will not work with my Apple Watch. Restoring purchased returns that there are no purchases to restore. Probably a forgivable glitch but support have not responded to me which makes it less forgivable..Version: 6.8.26

Why is it called 10K if it’s measured in miles.See title..Version: 6.8.15

The finish line for running moved closerI once listened to a ted talk that said the difference between physically fit people and non physically fit people is that the finish line seems too far away distance wise for the unfit people which causes the brain and body to not like running... well with c25k and couch to 10K it feels like the finish line is a bit closer for us non physically fit people. I mean I have learned to breathe while running and the breaks and cool down periods in the app are awesome for beginners like myself. I'm happy a friend recommended I download this..Version: 5.3

Was great now I can’t use it.. HELP!Love the app would happily give it 5 stars. But today after my run when the ad started playing the app closed. I now have a notification for the run I just did but when I open the app it is a blank white screen! And closes after a few seconds. I have restarted my phone, reinstalled the app, deleted iCloud back up and it still won’t open! I don’t care about losing past data I just want it to open so that I can carry on to the next week as I don’t want to mess up my training by switching mid way to another app! Also when I click app support nothing loads which is disappointing though. Any ideas how to fix the issue!?.Version: 6.8.22

Unable to track with another appI had been tracking my runs (along with all my other activities like hiking and walks) on a different app, while I ran and walked when c210k told me to. It worked great because the tracking app would tell me when I’d hit my miles and my pacing, and C210k would tell me my intervals. But now I can’t use both apps at the same time. Very disappointed that I truly have no idea how I did on my run today - because I have to pay to be able to see my stats through this app. Frustrating enough to get me to stop using the app. It’s a shame because I was really enjoying it and nearly halfway done. I only want this app to tell me when to run and walk. I want my other established tracking app to track so all my activities in one place..Version: 6.8.21
