✓ Wasting tones of times to set upI’ve got QL-710w label printer for about 2 years the first year it worked every now and again if I would spend time to connect it. In the last year it didn’t want to connect NO MORE. I tried to update firmware and all the sh.. I switched the Wi-Fi connection. And still no sign of connection. It’s so frustrating to waste hours and hours out of my days trying to make it work... what a big/cheap company producing a sh.. of an app... un be live able.Version: 5.2.6
✓ Terrible printer.I bought the brother p710bt1058. Two big issues First it doesn’t stay connected to the software. When the printer shuts down in power save mode, it will not connect to Bluetooth when it powers back on. You need to forget the device and reconnect it. It’s annoying. Second, the printer will cut a 1/2” piece of label then print your label. You waste half the label. I don’t like the software or the printer and wish I haven’t bought it..Version: 5.3.4
✓ No Sequential Numbering, Clunky BarcodesNo way to do sequential numbering, so I have to do this manually, and this wastes a lot of label, since every time you print, it feeds out a half inch and cuts it. You need to enter barcodes twice, once for the text, once for the barcode. You can copy & paste, but this is an extra step and a potential source of errors! Text should match the barcode! It’s ridiculous that a 10 year old labeller with a built in screen and keyboard has more features than the app on my phone. If you’re doing one label, this app is okay. If you’re using this in a business setting, it’s absolute garbage..Version: 5.3.3
✓ Two basic features missingIt looks like a great little design tool, but two very essential features are still missing: Copy & Paste of existing elements like texts or shapes and a very simple overwrite feature if you make changes on existing files. Everybody who uses this app will notice this problem right away. Developers are sometimes blind, just use the app yourself before release and imagine you want to use the label design app for your own busy business everyday...is it essential to have these features? ✓ Needs Text to QR LinkedI give only 1 star until these problems are fixed. All barcodes can have their content written in clear text as well as in barcode form except QR. Even if you have a template file that links the QR to text in a group this app will say they’re still grouped but will not allow the data between the 2 stay linked. There should also be a way to make custom links and groups in the app rather then copy a pre-made template and alter it the way it needs to be customized or by creating a template on the infuriating desktop software..Version: 5.3.1

Communication error is a regular occurrence which forces you to delete the app and reinstall loosing all your saved labels and do over and over and over.. Very time consuming and frustrating.. ✓ Needs to support more brother label printersCan you add support for the QL 570? I know this is traditionally not a network printer but I have managed to do so by added it as a network printer by connecting it to a synology NAS unit via USB. I can print to it when using p-touch from all windows computers connected to my network wirelessly and would love to use this software to print labels to the ql 570 using my iPad rather than having to turn on a computer..Version: 2.0.2

✓ Too many steps in the wayThe app works fine but there seems to be too many steps required to print different labels. Let me explain.. I print dozens of labels at a time and all are different. It’d be easy to print 30-40 identical labels but when they’re all different it can be a chore to navigate all the steps necessary to create a new label every few minutes. SELECT AN ITEM: photo. CHOOSE FROM ALBUM: scrolls through 200 or so different albums on phone and selects photo. The photo then isn’t where the last one was so needs to be centralised. Print and saves photo. DO YOU WANT TO SAVE? Yes. SAVED! (this bubble remains on screen for several seconds. I wait). Saves photo. PHOTO SAVED! (this bubble remains on screen for several seconds. I wait). Quits photo. J'obtenais l'erreur "Serveur introuvable" quand j'essayais de télécharger des modèles d'étiquettes. Ceci se produisait pour les modèles Date, Fichier, Cadre, Support, etc... Pour contourner et corriger définitivement le problème, j'ai dû changer l'ordre des langues dans la configuration de mon iPhone "Réglages - Général - Langue et Région". Il faut mettre English en premier. Ça fonctionne désormais dans l'application et je peux ensuite remettre la langue "Français" en premier pour avoir les modèles en français. I print several address labels at a time, by copy and pasting from my Etsy shop. I much preferred being able to click on the label template and edit it and loved that I could zoom in to pinpoint an area for editing with great accuracy. Now the editing part is in a tiny little bar which needs to be scrolled, and trying to select a single area for editing is about as successful on an iPhone or iPad mini as trying to thread a needle with a length of rope! The print option now required 2 presses on a button to get it to print. I much preferred the old interface. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. ✓ Terrible UITrying to make simple, basic labels with centered text and a frame. Something my ancient P-Touch did trivially. But this app makes it super difficult to size the frame, lets you drag the frame outside of the printable area so it gets cut off, doesn’t properly (visually) center text. Then, when you print, it doesn’t produce a label that looks like what it showed on screen. The frame and text weren’t centered horizontally and needed to be trimmed with scissors. ✓ Brother iPrint & LabelPretty good and easy wifi/network configuration. I have used this app for some time now. (One & 1/2 yrs.) It has crashed several times and I have not been able to use some of the template features for some reason. (It crashes) At one point I had to dump the entire app and reload it just to find out that the problem I was experiencing wasn't solved. (Lost all my saved labels too) Wasn't devastating though. This app has better potential but still needs quite a bit of work. Quite often it will not connect with the printer automatically. I have to manually add the printer. It is hard to change font size in some cases and impossible to add a picture to your label. I love the printer and find the price is right on the labels that I have been buying. The software for iPad and iPhone leave something to be desired. The software called P-touch Editor for the iMac is far superior but has some trouble connecting through the network. Works good with USB though. Overall, I am happy with this app, but wish it could be easier and more robust..Version: 4.0.2
✓ Irritating to try and lay out labels - faster to write by handWhile the idea is good, the drag and drop positioning function is irritating and frustrating to use. It’s hard to position things where you want them, you end up moving items you just positioned by accident, the sizing of items is even more difficult and Lord knows how you are supposed to put a box around text without accidentally moving things. ✓ HopelessSince the 'upgrade' connectivity between my iPad and printer is poor. The dreaded 'a suitable device cannot be found' message appears all too often, causing lost time and frustration. It is now much more difficult to see what is being input onto a label due to the input text box now being a narrow post box shape. There is a delay of 5-6 seconds from sending the 'print' command to the printer starting. ✓ PoorDisappointed. This could be so much better. No number increments, that's basic stuff. Good luck with finding support documents, very poor. There's a few interesting labels though but a hassle to get to if you've already connected your iPad to the printer wifi, you have to go to settings and change your internet wifi and then back to the Brother printer wifi. ✓ The FactsThis app has never been that good, but it was simple and it worked, spooled the print very quickly so it was ok. Not with this update, I can see what Brother were trying to do but it's totally ruined the user interface, even losing standard shipping labels such as "Fragile" Basically you now have a tiny text box above your keyboard only showing 3 lines of text, it's hard to move the curser or select text to edit it, and because this time you are editing the text box the label does not auto update (the label fills 50% of the screen, which it used to occupy 60%) so is completely pointless, just give us a label on screen we can edit how we wish, also you have increased the print button from one step to two?!? Nice how after pressing print it gives you a print qty before you proceed but what would have been better is an auto print que, so if we tapped print 4 times then we would get 4 copies rather than a "printer busy" error because the app was faster than the printer (which is perfect) instead you have slowed the app offering options instead of a smoother shorter process. I'm about to re-install the previous app from my backup as this is rubbish..Version: 5.0.0

✓ DreadfulSo bad. I regret buying this label printer now as this software is simply dreadful. So many bad design decisions. So difficult to use it’s extraordinary. one small example: to change the font size you need to press plus or minus. Which means if you have a big label size and want to write a lot on it you can end up having to press the button I’ve 100 tines to bring the font size down to the desired size. Just use the (still bad but less dreadful) computer software instead..Version: 5.2.2
✓ Dreadful back to the 1980's appI used to happily print labels to my QL-710W and PT-E550WVP printers using the old app. It wasn't perfect but did the job with little fuss and was pretty easy to understand. Roll forward to the 'new improved app' and what a complete cludge-up this is. Most of the time it doesn't automatically find my printer or recognise what label stock is loaded, so I have to go in and search and then tell it to check the label stock. Sometimes it just sits there with 'printing' in the middle of the screen, yet nothing comes out of the printer. The interface and editor is just dire and looks like something out of the 1980's. Manually entering and editing text is awkward and resizing a text box is hit and miss. I haven't risked doing anything fancy like adding graphics, but if entering text is this difficult I don't think I'll bother. This app has now slowed down my workflow so much I'm hunting around for a better app. PLEASE roll this update back to the old working version, kick out the developers and work on something your customers want and need..Version: 5.0.0
✓ Problem with new versionThe new version changed all the settings of previous one and I spent more than 30 min trying to get them back without success. Not that brilliant this new version..Version: 4.0.0
✓ Ruined by updateBeen using this app for many years. The old version had a few little problems but this latest one is broken. Struggles to find the printer that's in the same room. When you click print it sits just saying printing. If you can be bothered to wait sometimes it prints within 5 mins. Some times never. Please please please for the love of all things brother roll back or tell me how I can. If you want me to report all bugs just give me an email address. Also there is no notification if wifi is not enabled it just sits on printing till your battery runs out..Version: 5.0.0

✓ Poor address book supportThe app works pretty well, but I'm a little disappointed that it does not appear to be updated to the latest iOS standard (as evidenced by the outdated keyboard that pops up in-app on my iPad Pro. The app could use a visual update. My biggest concern, though, is that when I choose a contact from my iOS contacts, I am not given a choice as to which address for the contact will be used. Many of my contacts have multiple addresses (home, work, etc.) and the lack of this basic functionality makes the app far less useful with respect to the main reason I bought the printer..Version: 4.1.2
✓ Extremely dissatisfied with E550WCannot believe that I have spent £160 on a printer advertised as being a real help to electricians that does not have Bluetooth but requires wifi but won't connect via personal hotspot. The software for creating custom software on a PC will only print properly if the printer is connected to the PC, if you transfer the label to the printer it prints only part of the label and loses all the format you see on the PC screen. I tried connecting my iPhone/iPad directly using a USB/ lighting adaptor that I use successfully with cameras and music equipment and guess what.... It doesn't support that either. Totally unimpressed!!!!!.Version: 4.0.2

✓ Annoying AppI can't make it work on my iPad or iPhone without turning it off and on every time I need to use it, I get a error message saying the media is not loaded, but even after error that message I can pick up my Mac and it will print just fine, I can't find any help with this problem on the help and support pages on the Brother website.Version: 3.0.0
