✓ Helpful, but check your routesWe downloaded this app when we arrived in Paris two weeks ago. Prior to yesterday, we would have given it a solid five-star rating. However, yesterday, in planning a trip to the Musee d'Orsay, it recommended a simple route using RER routes B & C. When we got off the B train, we found that the C line was closed. As far as I can tell, at least this portion of the C line has been closed since the middle of July and will continue to be closed until the 28th of August. Lines for tickets are long and slow moving, and the ticket dispensing machines are hard for people to understand. Seats on trains are very small and few can be found even during off peak hours. ✓ Beware: Versailles info is WRONGWhile this app works reasonably well live in the city of Paris, I give it one star for having cost me €70 by directed me to the wrong station when I wanted to go to the palace of Versailles. The app mistakenly directed me to the Veroflay Rive Gauche station which is one short of the correct Versaille Chantier station for the most famous tourist sites in France. How they got this wrong is a mystery to me but I stayed on the train for the one additional station and could not get out of the station without paying a 70€ fine for two of us to the station personnel for having broken the law. In Paris, the RER C hasn’t stopped at St Michel Notre Dame since August. It’s now nearly December.
