✓ I really want to give five stars, but....It's just so darn expensive to play! I've never come across a game before that demands such a constant input of funds. ✓ I can't give it a five....I like the interaction with people from all over the world and to see their creativity. However, I cannot give it a five because there are too many glitches in the matrix, or problems with the system. It shuts down then resets back to as if you didn't play....I've lost money playing with Team Lava because I've told them about the loss of purchase but was never compensated for it. ✓ Loved it but...This WAS a very good game in till I couldn't expand. I spent 10,000 dollars on expanding and then I couldn't move any thing into the one area. I can't expand any more and there is nothing in the "help" category for this problem. I know that this is not the end of expanding because more people have expanded longer. If you do get this game, be careful of expanding until they take care of this problem. ✓ Pretty fun..This game is really fun in the beginning, but you'll soon see the flaws. It is really expensive to expand your city, you never have enough energy to keep playing, and most of the rewards take hours to get. The other frustrating thing is that you have to request items from your neighbors, but you have to know people playing the game to invite them to be your neighbor. And you can't ask the same neighbor for more than 1 item a day. These are all things that will make me consider deleting the game before I get very far..Version: 1.0.2
✓ Limitations and ScamsThe game has not had an update since 2013, so that's part of the reason many don't continue to play it, but somehow whenever I get on the game into my city they always find away to get into your path and block your creativity with too many ads for other Stupid games, and they'll limit you automatically, (yes it's true) so you're basically stuck unless you spend an extensive amount of money on gems, which I refused to be suckered into that, part of the reason is because even if you buy a pack, they'll limit you more and you'll be left with 0 gems within 10 mins of purchasing ((any size pack)). Overall, it's okay, game developers don't seem to care about users, just their money and I'm not giving my dads money to a shady Californian born scam. Not a chance..Version: 1.0.2
✓ App No Longer Being SupportedFor the past several days I have been trying to contact Storm8, Inc. about updating this app. As soon as I submit a request, they are automatically marking the request as solved or closed. Storm8 has abandoned this app. 1 year ago I rated this app with 5 Stars. I am disappointed they have lost interest in supporting this app for future iOS updates. I am fairly certain when Apple rolls out the next iOS version update, this app will no longer function properly. I've been building for 2 years now and I have fun doing it. To play it is quick, and I learned to let the coins build and spend as I could. I also learned solar panels gives me energy and coins. Team Lava does not provide a rule book or hints to the game, so my wife and my sons and I had to learn and teach as we went. We enjoy playing it and building and expanding. I just wish the expansion time was greatly reduced. The cost could be reduced also. I would like to see a better explanation with each building, some give energy and others don't. Please give us some information to teach us how to grow and play and be successful builders and help our neighbors as they build too..Version: 1.0.2
✓ Fun game, but ...I really like this game, but there needs to be a way for players to earn gems other than having to actually buy them. Also, the bubbles above each business or home are really annoying. You cannot see through them unless you are in expansion mode and with the lack of ways to get supplies, the bubbles are ALWAYS there! The wait time to get supplies and to expand is ridiculous. ✓ Fun at firstBe aware! This game is lots of fun at first but then the game starts crashing. When you contact teamlava and give them all of your information. They response back with a auto response with only your name attach. I'm well aware of millions of other complaints they may receive but they never address any if my problems nor fix the bugs to their own game. But it doesn't take long to realize that you have to spend actual money to do anything at an enjoyable pace. And the number of permits needed for simple projects is frustrating. ✓ Quite goodThis app is ok; it's fun, creative and you can visit other cities. However it's really annoying as it brings up so many ads for other games ALL THE TIME!!!! ✓ Game limits your play consistentlyIt's entertaining, but it limits everything you do and requires you to pay. Want to build faster? Pay. Want to expand quicker? Pay. More land? Pay pay pay while consistently shoving their other games down your throat. Forces you to get friends "approval "before moving forward as well. It's parallel to a cheap, greasy, slimy car salesman. Will not download apps from this developer anymore. As a suggestion they should have just charged $1.99 for the app instead of trying to mooch money off it's users. ✓ ᗷOᖇIᑎG!!!This game is really fun for like the first few months, but after you play for a while it gets pretty boring! You start not having any more quests, and you just will find it boring. I love Home Design Story (which is a TeamLava game as well), because you build your own home. It's basically the same as this game, but it's way more social! ✓ Good game could use some featuresThis was an awesome game. Loved how fun and easy to learn it was, only thing I hated was when you got to a new level to unlock a new building, some of them required gems that you would have to pay such as the bowling ally, the pub and others. This made it very annoying and limit the possibilities of making your city bigger and better. Should add a way where you can earn gems in the daily challenges and for this annoying feature I give the game a 3 stars but will rate it a five stars if they fix it or find another way to get gems without buying them.Version: 1.0.2

Energy runs out, expansions are overpriced and you need friends to get land deeds. Goals also require you to purchase several of the SAME buildings over and over again, ☹️ which looks frustrating in my city! ✓ HalfI rate this game half because although it is really fun and enjoyable, it is one of those building games that you need to buy gems and coins with money. I do enjoy building cities and shops, as I have played many games like that, but those games (like this one too) cost money. ✓ Goodbye, this too slow and boring compared to others.I wrote a review yesterday and went to install a similar game to try instead... In that time, I've done numerous train deliveries, expanded my town about 6 times, built MANY buildings and houses and see LOADS of progress all in such a small space of time. ✓ Addictive yet frustratingFor some reason I've been slightly addicted to this game. Once you get to a certain point, however, it just gets frustrating. You have to wait on others (neighbors, that you must acquire) to provide you with permits so you can expand the borders of your city. You can only ask your neighbors for one item in a 24hr period, ridiculous! Then, once you collect the 50 or so permits, also ridiculous, you have to wait another 20+ hours for your 4x4 square to be activated, unless you want to use gems which cost$$, again ridiculous. The goods and energy you use to do things in the game replenish so slowly that you pretty much play this game for a 5 minute period twice a day. Again, the game is addictive at first, but these little "annoyances" make it just an average game. Border line whack!.Version: 1.0.2

✓ No supportBeen playing this city story only cause they dismantled the best city site ever,......this was good and fun for a year, now i wait long time intervals for expansions all paid for with my money, and the worst of it is : tapping on my contracts, and nothing happens.. ✓ Miss the old city storyAs much as City Story Metro has improved from the classic game, I feel that it took away a lot of the good qualities of the classic as well. While I have no issues with energy, I do have issues with missions. As in, there are not a lot of them. They keep me occupied with something else. If in the original game, my priority was to recreate my favorite city, what are my priorities here? There aren't any snow tiles, and a lot of major buildings require in-store currency, which I can only get from missions. ✓ No more Team Lava games for meI deleted most of my Team Lava games for the same reason... It is very difficult to make any progress without "coins". This game and "Farm Story" are fun, but in order to make any progress you need coins to buy more things but the "goods" aren't worth much so it is hard to get anywhere or buy anything. After a while it just gets boring. There are too many other games out there like "Hay Day" where you can feel like you are making progress. Team Lava needs to review their game play. ✓ Amazing, but multiple flaws.I've been addicted to this for quite a while. It has great quality, rarely crashes, and doesn't spam ads like multiple other games. The main problem I'd like to assess is how I am receiving no new goals or objectives. The producers of this game are only putting out new goals to advertise a couple other games they offer on the App Store. In order to complete the objective I have to get to certain levels on their other game. I don't have enough storage on my phone or time to be playing multiple other games, especially games I'm not interested in. ✓ It Gets Boring!The games started out great but has room for improvement, i.e., receiving ONLY 20 expansion permits and/or supplies per 24 hours, having to spend REAL world money for gems to buy the nicer buildings, homes, decorations and wonders, having to wait four (4) days for an expansion to clear and having to pay as much as 80,000 for a expansion DEFINITELY needs to change!! That being said, I've been playing CSM since it launched last summer and now that I've completely expanded there's nothing left to do but collect coins and answer neighbor's request! Unlike other "build your city" games I'm playing, and according to CSM's Forum, TL is not planning to add new plots!! Many neighbors have elected to go on hiatus (and so have I) because there's nothing else to do. My only complaint now is I was not able to get my original game back and had to start over. Day one: I have only been playing this game for a day so it might be too soon to say anything. I have enjoyed it so far. Only 4 stars because unless I have used something for awhile that's as high as I will rate something. Day two: Just dropped it down to three stars because I do not find anyway to expand the city unless you buy jewels with a credit card or other form of money. Day four: I am not sure. ✓ Fun and addictive but needs improvementFirst of all I'm on level 83 and I think that this is one of the most fun city building app there is. Although they expanded the amount of energy, (from 30 to 50) you can have, there are still some flaws in the game. For example how you need to purchase gems that cost REAL money in order to get the Best (aesthetically looking) buildings. Also how after a certain point there aren't any missions which makes the goal of the game pointless. BUT WORST OF ALL, How after I upgraded from my iPhone 5s to the 6S it didn't save my progress when I installed the app on my new phone so now I have build a new city from scratch! ✓ Frustrating gameInitially I thought it was a nice game but over time it got very frustrating. Every action requires energy and the game only allows a maximum of 25 energy and it takes 75 minutes to regenerate the energy. This is fine with a small city but as it grows most buildings become useless because there will be no energy to utilize them. So the only way to really play the game, once you get to the higher levels, is to stop collecting money or putting in supplies to the small and mid sized buildings and just work on the efficient buildings. This strategy is the only thing that works for me but it makes the game frustrating. It is however a well designed game if I ignore this one fact. If the maximum energy was increased as you go through the levels then this would be much better..Version: 1.0.1

✓ Good gameThis is a good game that I've been playing for a while. It's a great role play game and the graphics are excellent. Here is why I only give 3 stars: 1. Expansion: it takes forever to expand. Having to wait 3 days for expansion to complete is ridiculous especially since it takes about 3 days to receive the insane amount of permits needed by your neighbors. 2. Goals: there are no goals to complete once your city reaches a certain level. Leveling up means nothing. No incentives. Leveling up should be rewarded with gems. Goals should be rewarded with gems. 3. The price of gems is ABSOLUTELY too HIGH! I have spent real $ on this game in the past but the certain things that require gems, the total number of gems is crazy. 4. I like interacting with my "neighbors" from all over the world. This is main reason why I keep playing. Overall, a good app game and I understand that the developers need to make $. I think that more people would spend a little $ here or there then just a few who spend a lot of $. Thus either evening out profits or IMO, expanding profits..Version: 1.0.2

✓ BoringWhen I just got the game in 2013, I absolutely loved it. The goals made this game super addicting and it was SO much better than City Story. However, as time went on the goals stopped, and it was really hard to continue playing. I've stopped playing the game altogether because it's just so unsupported and BORING. I'm on Level 57 and all I can do is build buildings and expand, which takes a ridiculous four days to do so. Unless TeamLava updates this game (which they won't, it's been years since this game saw an update), I don't recommend it. Edit 1: I wanted to try playing this game again, only to see now in 2017, it's still not updated. I still won't play an outdated game.😒 Edit 2: The game is not supported on iOS 11 or 12. ✓ Wheres my gemsI downloaded this game for my son. I purchased a bunch of gems for him. He used some, then, all of a sudden, they were gone. Provided proof of purchase to the company along with there strand of what was bought with these gems. Emailed them back and confirmed they owed my 8 year old son about 250 gems. They said there is nothing they could do... "Oh well" pretty much. Makes me wonder if its a subdivision of storm 8. So they robbed my 8 year old son, even though i provided proof they owed us gems. ✓ Greedy and Limited 😡👎Why why why? At first the game seems fun, just an average city builder. But there are flaws that make the game trash. First is always online, why, theres no need for online, online is only necessary for viewing other cities and future updates. There is no need for DRM. Second, the gems, the gems you own will be gone quickly. Without gems, you can do anything, you cant build a city inspired by NYC, Tokyo or SF. You basically need money to progress. This is an example of why I would rather pay one for like $5 than stupid micro transactions. Third is energy, why are you limiting how much can we play, you can use gems for energy, but you need money and that goes back to my second point. Fix this garbage app you greedy company by no more internet requirement, micro transactions and energy. This is why I HATE Team Lava and Rovio for making such greedy decisions. The only thing you should involve lava is to throw your games in lava because your games are trash. This could of been a great app, but without those dumb rules..Version: 1.0.2
✓ Fun, but extremely expensive, and terrible tech support.This app is so full of bugs, it's difficult to play. Industrial buildings don't produce new contracts when the previous ones are finished, screen freezes up every time you try to buy gems or try to sell something. Cost of expansion in real money is so high as to be prohibitive to young people. Tech support is a joke. Player "forums"are difficult to read and to access. ✓ Its Ok 😬This game isn't the best, but its OK. One of the quests is you will get free coins and stuff if you buy one of their games. Then it will say to get up to a certain level then you can get more coins. Then they add more quests with more of their games. I soon had a lot of their games and each game I had, I was on a very high level. I spent most of my time on thoses games. I give this game two out of five stars..Version: 1.0.2
✓ Facebook connect issueCan you PLEASE fix this so we can all connect through Facebook?! If you lose or upgrade your device you cant log into it, good lil game but when I upgrade my phone I wont be able to connect to my current city. 🙋🏼 The thing that is really annoying me is the lack of special items you can buy at Christmas, HALLOWEEN, Valentines Day etc. The other cities I visit have great stuff which just never becomes available now & as for the Mystery item (Coming Soon) never seems to ever get here and I've been playing for many many months now😡 How about putting in some effort to reward those loyal PAYING game players?!.Version: 1.0.2
