✓ One save file, frequent forced auto savesFlash storage only gets so many writes before it craps out, please stop wasting them all whenever I do ANYTHING. Or, at least offer iCloud storage if you insist on saving after every battle, exiting from the menu, exiting some sub menus, having any conversation, start of new day, etc. It would be great if you would let us choose what events to save after or implement a manual save. It would be even better if you did iCloud saves when that is available. I'm not quite sure why my partner is a pin now, but I assume it has something to do with a lack of controller and second screen. All this game is doing is making me want to play the DS version. It's a wonderful game, but the port could have been much better..Version: 1.1.0
✓ The World Ends with…...……this App never being fixed. Square Enix have confirmed that it’s not worth their while to fix this to work iOS 8. I can also confirm that it’s not worth my while to purchase another Square Enix game. Shame - it was a great game..Version: 1.2.0
✓ Mingle is basically impossible!The gameplay is great, and it's much more than I expected of a port from the NDS. My only issue is that it's basically impossible to get Mingle Points! Most of the people I know have this game on the DS and aren't willing to buy it again for iOS/don't have an iPhone or iPad. Or they have an iPhone/iPad but aren't willing to pay 20 dollars for an app because they've never played this game before and have no understanding of its greatness. So getting mingle points by blue-tooth over local wireless simply isn't feasible for most iOS users. WE NEED AN ALTERNATE WAY TO GET MINGLE POINTS. Maybe more robust online features? Or being able to use a Bluetooth connection without having the software running on both devices....Version: 1.0.0
✓ Unplayable unless updated for new iOSI bought this game as the original was a cult classic that I really enjoyed. Watching some reviews of the new controls online meant that I didn’t bother to read the users reviews on the store because I figured I would not need to - boy that was a mistake. I would have seen that people had already warned about the lack of compatibility. Paid and downloaded only to find that the game black screens on EVERY cutscene. You can sometimes get round this by minimising the app then going back into it but it will just skip the scene and move on. For a story driven game this makes it a little pointless to play. SE support on their main site is also trash so I would expect this to get an update any time soon sadly..Version: 1.2.3

✓ False Advertising!TWEWY is a great game but this port for iPad is NOT HD and does not take full advantage of the retina display. Great if your got an iPad 2, sure. ✓ What the F&#%k!Three times I have tried downloading this game and three times I have had to reboot my ipad 2. When I try to download it gets to about 3/4 and stops installing yet it continues to eat away at my hard drive until I have 0mb left. This is a shame because this game looks great. ✓ Not so retina as they saidThe good: a solid port in terms of controls, one of my favourite ds games of all time. Great story, music and all around amazing Tetsuya Nomura game... The Bad: Looks like an iPad 2 game and the pixels really show up in a 3rd gen iPad. It's just obvious that they made this for iPhone and ported it to the iPad? So I've got a port of a port with a heavy price tag. If it was full retina like they advertised on the SE website then I would be able to justify it, and the "updated RE-DRAWN graphics" which they were talking about don't exist, they are upscaled and filtered so everything looks like a SNES emulator and it's still pixelated. Verdict. Plays well, amazing game and it would be great on the iPhone but it looks garbage on the 3rd gen iPad. If you have an iPhone then get it on that, if you don't then you may as well go find the original on the ds. Another bad port from square Enix. What is wrong with you boys, seriously?.Version: 1.0.0

✓ Horrendous controlsIf this is what people think are great touch controls I would hate to see what they consider bad. While I like art style, music and story it does NOT justify the price tag. It's from square-soft so I should have known better. Everything they reissue should be cheaper by $10. ✓ Great but problems with iOS 13Edit: Square Enix has updated their other games to work with iOS 13 but not this one. So unless you desperately want to play this and are willing to put up with the very irritating problems, don’t buy. Great game on DS, much prettier on mobile (however this is an old port so it doesn’t take advantage of the capability of the latest processors). Unfortunately it freezes during cutscenes on iOS 13/Ipad OS and square enix take ages to update their games. I’ve found out however that if I swipe up to display the multitasking screen and click back on the app fixes it for me (iPad mini) (I found this out from a forum where people reported it working on an Xr and Xs) This is quite annoying however and needs to be fixed ASAP, and is pretty much unacceptable from an app with a double digit price tag. It is also greedy of square enix to charge extra for additional tracks etc..Version: 1.2.3

✓ WARNINGUnless you know eight people near you with this game you WILL NOT be able to complete the soundtrack collection. Also, you will need at least one person with the game or you will not be able to finish a quest in post game or finish the pin collection. Mingle mode is broken in how restrictive it is (have to use Bluetooth and be next to someone also in mingle mode) and I sadly have to recommend you avoid this game until Squeenix fixes mingle mode. ✓ $20 for "HD?"My complaint isn't with the mechanics of the game, or the gameplay, they are good and this is a fun and entertaining game. My complaint is having to pay $20 for an "HD" version of the game that isn't HD. And I wonder why I couldn't just use the iPhone version of the game on iPad? Yes I wasted money on two versions of the game, but one, the iPhone version is a little difficult to play and see what I'm doing at the same time and two I was interesting to see what differences there were in appearance and overall gameplay with a screen big enough to see what I'm doing while controlling the game. ✓ I don't understand the hypeThis game gives me mixed feelings. For one, zoom in on the preview pics first before buying, you will notice t is blurrier full screen. The jaggedness of the picture is MUCH WORSE in the actual game which makes me feel like they touched up I the preview pics. If you like square games for the graphics and score/music like I do, then you will be sadly disappointed. The music is good, but it is low sound quality. If your expecting nice crisp, sexy graphics you will be denied. The wouldn't be hard if it wasn't for the gimmicky controls. To actually play I found myself having to set the ipad (4th gen) on my lap and use my index fingers. The ONLY thing good about this game is the story and even that is lackluster.
