KORG iPolysix for iPad for Positive User Reviews

Buttery SoftLovely, rich and creamy! Like an IMS-20 on steroids, but with voices that are rich and easy to tweak or explore. Pros: Deep silky analogue sounds that you can KAOS pad. All controls are recordable and very dynamic. Core midi is fast and responsive using a YouRock Guitar. Wonderful FX with extensive choices and controls. Superb mix of sequence recoding and random discovery. Lots of content, 2x6 voice synths, 6 part drum/bass/any voice percussion. Cons: Not many really, it is a synth not GarageBand, it is fiddly. You are only recording steps in patterns so it's not like a tape recorder that gets every nuance of notes played. Songs are tedious to construct. But the Cons are part of the whole, and you can't really have the Pros without them. An undo would be nice, a way of erasing just a segment handy but these are just things that you would expect Korg to sort out with updates. I raised a question with Korg UK and got a speedy response. Final thought: Get it now!!! Batninja.Version: 1.0.0

Korg has done it again. These guys know how to make top apps and they have done it again with one. I am a huge fan of the Korg apps. I find this to be considerably easier to use from the first time you start it over the iMS20. I also like the way you can share you music with others to Remix it. Nice touch. Wist is fun....Audiobus capable in the future would rock..Version: 1.0.0

You have a really good interface this timeYou should update the ims20 and make it work like this one a bit more! Sounds dope dope ...KORG has really utilized the ipad, i love this app. Own ikaossilator, electribe, electribe gorillas, ims20, and now this app! I want the electribe sampler! If more companies would embrace the ipad like this the ipad would just be incredible to use all the time! I gave you five stars...keep making great apps.Version: 1.0.0

Website says they are working on IOS8 versionsIf you have not updated to IOS8 and you use these apps, just wait, like I am. They mentioned on their site they are working on updating the apps to make them compatible..Version: 1.1.3

11 Inch Screen SupportGreat synth, love using it in Gadget. Just wish it filled my 11 inch iPad screen in standalone mode..Version: 1.2.2

Great synthI love this app. I'm not a serious musician, or anything like, but just like messing around with sounds. Polysix is perfect for this, great fun..Version: 1.1.4

Top notchUnbelievable app. A poly six, times two, ahem, times four if you include the drum/bass sequencers. Plus effects units for each, and a mixer, with overall effects. Just speechless, fantastic app!.Version: 1.1.2

BeautifulIt is said below that this synth is limiting. This is not quite true. If you have only two synthesizers and a couple drum parts, it brings out the most creative parts of music making in you. The Polyseq is also very intuitive and easy to use, the sequencer being a monster. The Polysix synthesizer is also enormous and wonderful with dual XY Kaoss pads which can be set to just about any scale you can think of--and not think of. The drums are rather monotonous, even the ones you make yourselves, because there are limited controls for them, yet it brings out your true music spirit when you really figure out how they work..Version: 1.1.3

DavidGreat app, great to use.... Would be a five star review but the tempo is a nightmare to change. Especially on an iPad mini, making it difficult to use in GarageBand.... Happy holidays.Version: 1.1.3

WOW...... Just Plain Old...WOWThis is a great app. It looks super cool and sounds fantastic through nice headphones. Easy to use and fun to play with. There are some insane sounds in there. The synth automation is so fun! You can really go deep here. The effects sound good. The KAOSS style sequencing is easy and fun. The layout is superb. Among the best music apps out there. This is so cool. There is no reason to wait on this purchase. Thanks..Version: 1.0.0

Love love love thisBut it would be awesome with AUV3! I still go back to this and play it a lot!.Version: 1.2.2

Great retro feelReally enjoying this app - it's so easy to lose a couple of hours putting together solid retro beats and bass :-).Version: 1.1.1

Unable to open appEver since I upgraded to IOS 8.0, I have been unable to open the App. I press the icon and the picture of syth shows for a few seconds and then disappears. I have tried deleting the App and downloading it again, but same thing happens. Can anyone help????.Version: 1.1.3

Spot on!..I used to own a real korg polysix (now worth nearly £1000, what was i thinking!) and this synth app ipolysix is spot on in terms of looks and sounds! And all this on an iPad! Mad .. Recreated a simple patch i remember making way back when and it's quite accurate. Why can't roland, yamaha, casio (and any of the other many synth makers) do something like this?.. Used to own some of the above too and legacy apps like this are so cool.. The up to date additions for audiobus, extra synth instances, xy kaos pads, midi, (even just to use my basic keyboard via irig to play ipolysix) drums, effects, sequencing, mixing, public sharing, etc., although i may not use all of those at the moment, certainly adds value to ipolysix. Re: audiobus knob issue; I am not having this problem. All fine. (Ipad 2). Used 'multitrack daw' app to test this. Simple live play record while knob twiddling. No issues. Possibly a buffer issue since newer iPads set it differently. ? Re: Tempo setting that others are concerned about; A field to allow manually typing in data (after double tap or hold, like in drumjam) might be useful, that idea can maybe applied to other settings also. Just a suggestion. Maybe midi cc mapping too for future possibilities. Wondering if its time it got auv3 functionality?.Version: 1.2.2

Sounds great, limited function. Please have an instrument control screen with no keyboard option. Better midi too..Version: 1.1.6

Such a great appSuch a great app for those interested in purchasing a synthesizer, but want to learn how to use a Korg before they invest in one..Version: 1.2.2

Hats off to KorgThis app is a must have if you make music on the IPad just brilliant.Version: 1.1.0

Stunning! Can't believe this has just been found on app store.....korg, where was the pre release hype? Just stunning! A must have for any iOS Muso.....get it whilst it's 50% off!.Version: 1.0.0

Korg poly6They have done it again, thanks Korg now just work on how I can open this app in logic as a plug-in so I can design a sound on the go then put it in a tune when I get home and you will make me even more happy! (surely this idea is not that far away now).Version: 1.0.0

Pure goldJuicy tones, super user friendly, nice features!.Version: 1.1.3

Great synth , Easy to use sequencerFantastic synth . Much better for a beginner like me than the iMS20 Korg app because the sequencer is much easier to understand and use. Awesome sharing and remixing features powered by soundcloud - A new era of Social Synths !!!.Version: 1.0.0

Superb appVery musical, userfriendly, well thought out. I would gladly give a sixth star if I could..Version: 1.1.6

This is LIVEOriginal sounds, original vibe, this is one live synth straight from its golden era to your iPad. Quit whining about what it doesn't do and start using it to make music 😂😂😂 its not a solution to anything other than your creative woes, and it sounds unbelievable...Version: 1.1.4

Wow 80's retro soundsIt may only have two synths and drums are basic, but this reminds me of daft punk style progressive house. Nice pattern/song sequencer, when in pattern mode you can trigger each pattern from a button style grid. Presets are basic and not many but the chord synths are retro style and usable quality. The left kaoss pad can be assigned x and y to almost anything. The right kaoss pad can adjust variation and pitch which is great. Loads of fx, reasonable, reverb and chorus ok. Only 2 dials. If you hold each dial or button a step sequencer appears for that dial or button to add variation in steps. At £10 its not bad, synth seq fx. Pros Well designed, step seq on all dials, dual kaoss pad. Pattern triggers, song grid layout. step seq on all mixer dials too. Selectable main fx. Cons Fx ok but only 2 dials, dials are too sensitive and small. More presets needed Pattern seq light travels from right to left, err wrong way korg..Version: 1.0.0

Great little synth for iPadKorg has done a great job with this synth. The basic sounds supplied would seem to be actually musically useful sounds and of course can be modified for your own tracks. The interface is quite intuitive as well. There is also a great sound cloud facility especially devoted to the poly six so you can hear the many tracks that other guys have produced on this synth and some of those tracks are remarkably good. From using this software synth I'm hoping that Korg brings out a re-issue of the physical poly six synth as they have done with MS20. Great work Korg!!.Version: 1.1.4

Genuinely good ios music app! When I first downloaded it it seemed quite interesting but I wasn't sure just how much I was going to use it. I've now been sessioning it for a day now and I'm really getting the idea behind it. You can make some amazing retro sounds that you used to hear back in the day because this is what they used to make those sounds! It just great! I really love the step sequencers for both drums and synth and also the song arranger is really cool, it makes throwing together patterns both easy and fun! The soundcloud based remix forum is such a classy feature, I have been through some of the entries and there are some really cool pieces of music made. One thing I would like to see though, is a way to bounce the songs down as stems to put into daws without the need to solo each one or record them directly into your mac (if it is possible, please reply). Even if you don't use this for song or drum arrangements, you have got yourself an amazing replica of a classic synth for the price of peanuts. BUY!!!!!!.Version: 1.1.1

IncredibleHow can anyone not give this amazing thing 5 stars? It has such great sound and so much control and everything you could want in a synth. And people look for something that it doesn’t do so they can remove stars. Those people would have to give zero stars to every other app because they do nothing compared to this one. Its like saying a Ferrari is not such a great car because it doesn’t have a toilet. Anyway, if you like synths that are powerful and will give you continuous enjoyment with its endless feature set, then get this wonderful thing. It is much more than you can imagine. When you open it and start poking around and tapping notes, your jaw will drop and you will be so excited thinking of all the cool sounds and sequences you will be able to create. Its not possible for a musician who is into electronic music to not love this beauty. Have fun..Version: 1.1.6

MemoriesI paid $2000 for a Polysix, my first analog synth, 30 years ago. This digital emulation is more powerful and arguably better sounding. Have we come a long way! I hope that Korg does the same for their 17 year old treasured Prophecy, which sits in my studio beside their current masterpiece, the Kronos, which also includes a Polysix engine among it's nine synth engines. These guys are good!.Version: 1.0.0

Awesome retro synthI've never played an actual Polysix to compare with but this is a killer retro eighties synth. Tons of bonus features too! The step sequencers and Kaoss pads add a lot of value..Version: 1.1.6

AUv3Pretty please make all your synth apps AUv3!!!!!.Version: 1.2.2

Most Complete Package Overall.I own Thor, Sunrizer, TC-11, Animoog, and iPolysix. All are very good products. None disappoint, but this one does the most. If there is a downside to polysix, it's the learning curve. Sculpting your own sounds won't come as easy to a newb as it might with others. But at the end of the day, if I could have only ONE synth, it would be this one. I'm getting complete jams and building complete songsin two days time. Barely scratched the surface. You might want more features (midi, etc) but you'll NEED them LESS than with other apps. So...this might not be your last synth, but I'd still make it your first. It gets four stars because nobody does it all...and they ALL could..Version: 1.1.3

Best Music App YetThis is the only app I have been able to make a useable song in. It has several sequencers in it and drums. Very easy to get something going. Great scratchpad. Plus the Polysix is a great emulation with lots of knobs. Very analog and very realistic. You must get it..Version: 1.1.1

Korg do it again! Again!Always wanted one when they came out many years ago but settled for cheaper Juno 6. Sounds are excellent as with all Korg apps. Lots to learn , hope there are video tutorials to help at some point. Now , will Roland bring on the Jupiter's please! Thank you Korg!.Version: 1.0.0

Sounds Beautiful 😀Love the sound of this more than any other ipad synth.Version: 1.1.4

Innovative yet ArchaicLatency results in sequencer parallax, always. So every melody 1/16th note has to be adjusted, along with tie/velocity. Asinine. Learning that clearing a track leaves a 4bar kick and a 1/16th A is annoying. Adjusting metronome should be available on drum screen, why is it on the mixer? Having an on/ off click rather than a dud bar would be useful. Sounds: depth and complexity are phenomenal. Effects: multiple knob memory: mind bogglingly enjoyable. I wish there was an undo button sometimes. I could almost make a full song if I could get four instruments and a graphic interface that showed arrangement, but that's what I use FLMobileStudio for. Copying and pasting patterns seems blind, I wish there was a piano roll GUI. I love posting and listening on sound cloud, very motivating. With the sequencer, and multiple knob memory this app is way more useful and enjoyable than Animoog. With iPolysix when I decide to post something I have a strong sense of ownership about the sound I feel I have created, and yet the outcome is always way beyond my control and vastly more interesting than I had imagined. -Propaganda's Fate.Version: 1.1.1

Amazaballs!!!!!!After downloading this app, I was running faster, throwing further, and unafraid to get in the communal showers! A beast. It's fun, looks like silver, sounds like gold. Danke Korg, I must go and train this now!.Version: 1.0.0

Korg gadget?Just putting it out there!.Version: 1.1.6

FantasticAmazing quality just like the real thing, Cheers KORG.Version: 1.1.3

My Favorite IOS SynthThe iPolySix sounds great! I’ve been playing synths since the early 80s, and this sounds like it should - analog and very musical..Version: 1.2.0

Wow!If you are into analogue synths, this is worth buying an iPad for! My desktop setup, Ableton, Reason + various plugins blah blah... Hasn't been touched for weeks because I'm having so much fun with this. I've been into synths and music tech for over 20 years and always thought I was more into the tech than actually making music, but the iPolySix has opened my mind and heart and allowed an expression of something inside me I never knew existed. If I could give it 50 stars it wouldn't be enough - huge credit to the developers - this is simply astounding! I've died and woken to find myself in music making heaven! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Xx.Version: 1.1.1

Mixed review but..I'll give this app 5 stars for it honest representation of the vintage synth with all its limitations. Otherwise, this is not necessarily a plug and play toolbox of the extreme kind. So, I suppose if I bought the actual Korg hardware synth, I would have to appreciate its retro limitations remembering that the era in which this synth was produced was still one of discovery..Version: 1.1.6

Almost perfectOkay, great app my only huge complaint is I Need the ability to assign which parts I use through the midi. When using this live I need to tell it how to react to which part I assign it to not the other way around. However people don't get me wrong it is still one of the best synth apps..Version: 1.1.2

FlawlessI honestly can't think of anything bad to say about this. It feels like owning the real thing. I've had this for about 6 months or more now. You can get a lot of great sounds out of it. I own all of the Korg apps (except the Gorrilaz iElectribe), and I think they're worth every penny. They obviously put a lot of time and effort into making these applications great..Version: 1.1.2

UNBEATABLEThis is incredible! Everything about this is a home run! Please port over more of your vintage synths! THANKS!.Version: 1.1.2

Another essential Korg classic made accessible to iOS owners!Awesome! Fantastic classic analogue polysynth but with plenty more added value. Two polysix synths, pattern sequencers, digital effects, sound cloud integration.... Haven't tried the midi control but this will definitely join my studio setup. Running on iPad 2, you might need small fingers if you have a mini! Grab it now whilst on special offer..Version: 1.0.0

PolysixSmall but strong vintage synth with all the possibilities of the real version!.Version: 1.1.4

NiceeeeI've done a good apps shopping today bought me a real nice synth apps.....animoog , alchemy synth and this one. I dont regret any purchase i've made today. I really like this app ! No joke ! I love it ! Sounds so good and the interface is smooooth. I will even buy it if its $31. Yes..Its worth it ! Thanks guys ! I cant stop playing it....Version: 1.1.1

Great synth but could be even better!Come on korg, about time you made this for Gadget....you would get 5 stars from me then.Version: 1.1.6

Great synth.Easy to get going with. Great sounds - feels quite eighties and works with my pretty old keyboard through midi so I'm happy. Got it on offer so well worth it. More presets would have given it 5 stars..Version: 1.1.4

Great synthI like the sounds and layout. It sounds just like the real thing. Easy to use if you have used any DAW or other Korg apps. I can honestly say that I love all my Kong products..Version: 1.1.6

Very coolI use this with my midi keyboard though so the onscreen keyboard gets in the way. Would love to be able to double tap like in iMS20 and gadget to full screen the controls and hide the keyboard. 5th star coming if that happens..Version: 1.1.6

IpolysixFantastic app, once you have found your way around you will love this, so easy to get something going, great fun. Recommend headphones to really appreciate the sounds on the polysix..Version: 1.1.1

Hoovers for DaysDouble barrelled rave action complete w drums..Version: 1.2.2

Fantastic appA brilliant recreation of the original. If you've used the VSTi then you'll feel at home right away. The sequencer is really good and easy to get to grips with and the drums are not too bad (the effects help). I wish Korg would improve the way you set the tempo as its the same as the iMS-20 where you have to fiddle to try and get the tempo you require. I use these apps to audio copy and paste into my DAW and if you set the tempo to, say135 BPM on your DAW, it then takes ages to 'luck' to the right tempo within the iPolysix as you will need to drag the rotary control up and down (the tempo can be set in .1 of a BPM) so I usually give up on something like 134.6 or 135.3. Apart from that I would have given his a 5 star rating.Version: 1.0.0

Fantastic sounding, but needs modern features.First off, this is a fantastic sounding model of the Polysix. It is very well implemented and does what it does well. The sequencer is a little cumbersome, in an old school analog way, but very functional for what it does. My only gripes are that Korg needs to add standard features for modern iOS synths. These features include: Audiobus support, background audio, and virtual MIDI. If these were added, this app would be 5 star and I could recommend it without hesitation. As it is, it's a good app if you don't mind making music in Korg's walled garden. UPDATE: THANK YOU KORG FOR LISTENING! Now with background audio and Audiobus, this is one of the BEST synths for iOS! FIVE STARS!.Version: 1.1.0

Great App - Wish it had more MIDI control. This is one of my favorite apps for making music on the road. Love that I have two Polysixes and a complete drum kit to compose with on its step sequencer. Really wish I had more options for integrating with my MIDI studio when I get home..Version: 1.1.6

Bringing back great memoriesI had one of these in my youth and have missed it often. But wow, this app does it justice. Incredibly good sounding. The extra features (two instances, more effects, a sequencer, drums) are icing. My favourite soft synth purchase. All I need now are faux wood side panels for my iPad..Version: 1.2.2

One of the few.....I use this with mSequencer and can get full control over all 8 instruments - better than m1 for sequencing for sure. 8 tracks with seven tracks of automation. Or automate the mixer and let Polysix do the sequencing. 😀 UPDATE...... PLEASE ADD ABLETON LINK KORG-SAN.Version: 1.2.2

Good AppNice app, addictive and easy to use, bang out tunes in no time.Version: 1.1.6

Good DAWI have several synth apps for the iPad, and for $20, this is a pretty powerful soft synth/DAW. It's easier to use and more intuitive than the iMS-20, although the drum sounds aren't as full as I'd like. For a pure synth, Animoog is still my favorite, but this one has some good sounds that are easy to manipulate. I wish you could do more that two effects on the waveforms, but for $20, I'm not going to complain. Plus you get the Kaoss pad, which is pretty cool. Not sure it tops FLStudio or Nanostudio, but it's respectable and worth including in your iPad synth arsenal..Version: 1.1.2

Big sound. Small price.Excellent app. Fantastic, fully fledged synth sounds for the fraction of the price of the real deal. Hook it up to a keyboard (midi) via the camera connection kit and you have a powerful synthesizer for very small cost. Fully recommend..Version: 1.0.0

Still no changeSuch a nice sounding Korg ....trapped in a horrible sequencer nightmare! It should be an instrument in gadget instead!THAT would be a killer combo! I can't believe Korg STILL has not made this a synth in gadget surely that would have bee a better choice for a synth in the Module app! This really bothers a lot of my fellow gadget pals. But Korg just doesn't seem to care about our suggestions when it comes to putting the poly six or the ms 20 in that rig . Peace christo.Version: 1.1.4

Very powerful, great soundI want to give it 5 stars, yet the limited track layers is my only gripe. Yet it's new, I am sure they will update...or perhaps I haven't figured that out. Still, I have already made five songs in 1 day, and audio copy and sending to GarageBand allows for a ton more flexibility. The sounds are great, the drum machine is basic yet you can tweak the sounds in the synth engine which is huge. Well worth the price...oh and it's way more intuitive than the ms20 app, if that was your fear. Overall, a great component for music creating within the ipad or even sending to a DAW..Version: 1.0.0

Extremely goodCan't fault this excellent app.Version: 1.1.6

Another amazing appJust like the ims20 this thing is amazing, the interface is an improvement over the ims20 (nice). I own all of the Korg apps and now I'm thinking they can't make a bad app. This is one of the best synth apps on iOS, period..Version: 1.0.0

Great synth studioBut you need to allow an easier method for inputting specific tempos - ok figure out the flick method. Not intuitive but works fine once you're aware..Version: 1.1.0

Brilliant but please fix tempo control!Wonderful sound and features but the tempo control is truly maddening! This is 2013. Tempo control should be the easiest thing you should have to deal with. C'mon Korg. Fix this so I can use it without pulling my hair out!.Version: 1.1.2

Past due for an updateWith the one year anniversary coming up in little over a week since the last update, I'd say it's past due for one, nothing major as the synth is what it is, but to make it more iOS 10 friendly, and something that would actually make it a big update, make it able to open in Gadget, or what would be even better, make it an audio unit. It's still a great synth, but let's not get complacent, as we know how apps can get when they aren't at the very least, insured to run with the latest iOS without any hiccups..Version: 1.1.6

Why didn't you tell me?!?!I love anything that KORG bring out so I was stoked when I saw this on new and noteworthy... But you guys need a mailing list so we can hear sooner when you release something, it's important... Just wondering if you are going to add the zooming feature a la iMS-20? I am visually challenged so I loves me dials big. This feature packed app is a must have for any synthophile, get it now!.Version: 1.0.0

AmazingSimple interface but very powerful synth! Must have.Version: 1.0.0

Amazingish*update, midi controller m audio keystation 32, only works with synth 1. I don't wanna use touch screen, please fix. I can't even copy patterns from seq 1 to seq 2. If I'm on synth 1, that's what's hear and control. If I switch to synth 2 I still hear and control synth 1. As far as I can see it shows nothing about midi support so you can just tell me where to go, but I'm then keeping the star I took from rating. ;o) Whoa he's got a hostage Man, I'm gonna sound as good as VNV Nation or Covenant. Sounds so good. I am like the other guy, bought ims-20 yesterday...was enjoying so checked this out. I didn't realize the difference until he pointed it out. This is a little more tricky to find everything, but you basically have step sequencer which rules, kaoss pads, recorded midi input....effects are rad, sound is rad, I bought it on sale but even if I had to pay $20 I would. Just got a new m audio midi controller compatible with iPad if you use apple camera connector. Don't delay buy this. I got out of the hardware game a couple of years ago cause unless you play live, hardware is kind of dead. Long live soft synths, long live Korg! Peace.Version: 1.1.1

🚨Needs an Update. Fix the SoundCloud feature and please add some new presets.Version: 1.1.6

A Faithful Recreation of a LegendI got this app last year and I can now write with confidence, this is another home run by Korg's apps division. It amazes me that the Poly just has one oscillator, but can create sounds so lush that you'll swear you have a multi oscillator synth. I have created many sounds in it and it is very easy to tweak, which I like. Also, the way that you can automate parameters is nothing short of amazing. I have been thoroughly satisfied by the way you can create a complete song with just one app plus the ability to integrate with others via audiobus is also fantastic. I hope we keep seeing great apps from Korg's apps team..Version: 1.1.3

Another hit from KorgThis is my most-used IOS synth. It has great warm sounds and a built- in sequencer. Wish the IM1 had a sequencer as that would be amazing. Yes, there's GAdget but the M1 there is limited. Sequencing your apps from other programs like Genome is a real pain due to all of the switching. Get this app!.Version: 1.1.6

Awesome best music appThis app it's the most awesome app to make some electronic music by far I have tried several and this one beats all of them by far. If you got 15 buck to spare don't buy any other app buy this one. You can make your own sounds in everything drums and synths that's what I love about it. The only thing I wish it had its a voice recorder to put words in your songs that would make this app perfect..Version: 1.1.1

Desperately needs an update!Hands down, my favorite app to use. It's five stars for me but I'm taking one off because the SoundCloud feature hasn't worked properly in at least 3 years. C'mon Korg, please don't ignore this app. I keep hoping for a good update, let's get it fixed..Version: 1.1.6

A classicI was 18 when I saw this keyboard in a music store. I could not afford one. I have always wanted one, and finally can check one out. For the price, it is a lot of fun. There are more powerful modern features added than on the original too. Thx.Version: 1.1.6

Finally! Finally, someone at Korg realized that putting grid guidelines on the Kaosspads would be a good idea. After all the compaining from users and all the online sites selling templates and giving tutorials on making gridline overlays, Korg has finally got the message. I would imagine it was probably some janitor sweeping the floor, looking over the programmer's shoulder who said "hey, why don't you put in gridlines so people can actually see what they're doing?" Fortunately, the programmer listened and now Korg has caught up with the rest of the apps that use a similar pad interface. For this alone, I give it 5 stars..Version: 1.0.0

Great but limitedI'm giving this 5 stars because the sequencer is an awesome addition to this synth, and finally Korg is understanding that users want to be able to compose, sequence and mix all within a single app. But the sequencing is limited as patterns cannot be laid onto one another, limiting the polyphony to just two simultaneous synths. Still, you can write a whole lot -- but it keeps the app from being an actual composing environment that it could have been. I'm still looking to replace Fruityloops on my PC. And this app is clearly on the right track, but stops well before it fulfills it's promise. Still, 5 stars for being the best I've seen to date..Version: 1.1.3

Better than ims20I wish I had known about this before buying the korg ims20 app. This one has better sounds, is way more intuitive, and has less cumbersome polyphony. Very happy with this, but bummed I wasted so much on the other app. This and the figure app by propeller head are all you need..Version: 1.1.1

Need more midi supportWhile this is a high quality iOS synth, and it has basic midi note/bender/mod wheel support, it would benefit from more. As far as I can tell there is no midi cc control possible for parameters, and no way to assign midi channels 1-16 to synth1 and synth2 simultaneously. Also, there is no program change or stop/start playback of sequences. For those of us who hook up iPads to external midi keyboards and external sequencers, improved midi support would be very useful. I'll switch to 5 stars if later versions make midi improvements..Version: 1.0.0

FantasticEasy to use, lots of freedom to manipulate sounds. Really enjoying it..Version: 1.1.6

GreatWell thought out, great automation implementation, amazing app, no brainer for the price of a couple of pints, has everything you need to make great tunes (just add talent)..Version: 1.0.0

Needs import/export presets & Ableton link.Given that we can save our own presets on our iPads, it seems odd to have no way to share these with each other, or to backup these presets individually onto our desktop computers when syncing via iTunes. Need to be able to share projects too. This was possible before. Ableton link is essential too! Please add this functionality. Great app!.Version: 1.2.0

Working again in iOS 8A bit late to the party, but it's good to have this working again..Version: 1.1.4

Great sound and featureIt just need to be korg gadget compatible......Version: 1.1.6

Back to the futureAfter owning a Polysix in the 1980's, I always appreciated its fine sound and ease of programming. When MIDI came about, it was sold to make room for more modern synths. Still, many times I wished I had kept it. Forward to the present day, I'm rebuilding my synth arsenal with help of an iPad and AKAI Synthstation 49. I received the email the other day from Korg announcing this release. Couldn't wait until I got home to download it and start making sounds. Everything I loved about the original is here plus several outstanding improvements. Most important, the sound and ease of programming compare equally with the original. One minor thing- I didn't remember the original not having portamento. Alas, neither does this app. Now that would be worth adding in a future update. Overall, a great job bringing back this wonderful synth..Version: 1.0.0

Really excellent new synthVery slick interface, very easy to use. Sound quality is fantastic. Maybe the best part of it is the enhanced soundcloud sharing. Taking one star off for lack of any kind midi support. Navigating song patterns could be better too. But buy this app, overall it's awesome to just pick up and play, with a very unique and varied sound..Version: 1.0.0

80s back,,,,!!!Awww this is kraftwerk, numan, tangerine dream, soft cell, human league , all over again to play , add , and mix , the perfect app for synth lovers ..Version: 1.1.3
