✓ Smoke me a kipper...Great game with nice Retro graphics. Starts easy then gets really hard. I had to re-play earlier levels to get my plane powered up. All possible with no iAPs needed. Numerous attempts are required! However zee enemy must be defeated. Got to the last boss fight, killed him and he exploded into tokens... however a stray bullet was also on screen and caught me afterwards! Aaaaaaggghhh registered as a defeat not a victory. ✓ Great gameThis is a fantastic bullet-hell type game. Unlike some of the other posters here, I think the controls work well and the difficulty level is appropriate. I have also played through the whole game (except the recently added mission) without resorting to in-app purchases, so it is definitely possible. I am also impressed with the recent update. ✓ Good but needs rebalancingThis is a fun and well made game. It needs more levels and the ability to replay or choose which levels you want to fly again. Lastly the final boss of this game is horrible, once you kill his engines the game drops a machine gun upgrade. This is useless as not only is it in a place that makes you vulnerable but it is also pointless since your plane is too beat up to make any use of it. Other than that fun game. ✓ Solid shooterHonestly, I haven't experienced the crashing issues others have mentioned on my iPad 3 (knock on wood) and I'm on the third "world." There is a little too much grinding in the game as you're leveling up your planes, but it's a pleasant enough gameplay experience and hasn't lost me yet. Dig the graphics and challenge... Reminds me a bit of Jamestown, except without the volume of content. Controls are a bit driftier than the controls many iOS shooter fans have come to love in Cave's games, but they still feel good (they don't feel laggy or slow, like the iOS version of Raiden). Overall, I hope the debs continue to develop this game. It has great potential and is totally worth the $1 asking price. UPDATE: Just beat the final boss and not a single crash. Assuming those experience crashes are on older devices. Anyway, I seriously hope new content is released eventually. I'd totally pay for some new levels & planes. Pretty burnt out on the three included worlds after all the grind that was required to upgrade my planes (and I didn't even max them out). Again, this is a solid shooter and I've really come to like the controls and play mechanics. Well done..Version: 1.0.0

✓ Misunderstood?But how can you misunderstand a game this simple? Jeez, it's not so hard. It's a casual vert shooter... Casual? Yeah. No scoring mechanic! Just grind for progress, that's how it's designed. A grind reward structure works badly with scoring - you need a separate score table for each level of power-up. So this game drops the score and concentrates on the grind. It's not hard either. Not to say it's easy, but medals (the thing you're grinding for) come thick and fast, and initial power ups are cheap. Stuck on the third level? Then you're an idiot. Just power your @&£?ing plane up! I usually have a quick go at an new game and think, sure, I'll play that later, often never doing so. I just had an hour-long quick go at this one, and it's great. Not as fun as Shogun, but that IS hard, and this is fun and casual and really nice to use. So yeah, buy this, don't be an idiot, play it how it's been designed to be played, and have a fun time. No need to whine, just enjoy!.Version: 1.0.0
