Frozen Food Fail1. The pick up staff are super friendly, courteous and helpful. 2. Way too many orders are incomplete because the store is out of the item, and the app doesn’t advise before ordering that the item is out. That’s incredibly frustrating when you’re banking on that item to make a meal. 3. Is there some reason I order from the deli the 8 piece BAKED (I said BAKED) chicken and I continue to receive FRIED. Four times in a row. There’s a BIG difference. you can’t figure out by how many orders for BAKED receive that you have to make the same amount of BAKED? Second incredibly frustrating. 4. Why oh why does my order have to sit in the sun and 110 heat before it’s loaded in car? The frozen food and ice cream are destroyed and inedible. STOP IT..Version: 17.4

Shady “bait and switch” couponsBuyers beware: Fry’s/Kroger is now using coupons in the app that can only be used for pickup or delivery. That’s not the actual problem, though. The problem is that they make it difficult to even notice this by “hiding in plain sight” through the use of deceptively small text below the coupons, with the “mode” being ever so slightly bolder. The text is small enough that it’s not immediately obvious which “mode” the coupon works for (in store/pickup/delivery.) They could simply highlight the “mode” with a color but that would make it easy for you to ignore them. No, their intent here is to make you think there’s a coupon available and purchase the item when in fact you can’t use that coupon for the particular way you’re shopping. This is extremely shady and is meant to confuse customers..Version: 32.2

Why not five stars?I would definitely give it five stars if the website wasn’t so confusing. But search drives me nuts. Half the time it can’t find what I’m looking for when I know that it’s there. Example: search for “cat food“ results in “no item found.” An hour later it lists over 300 items. Wow! That was a fast restock! It’s also difficult to understand where you are on the website. Are you on Click List? Apparently not, since the list sometimes vanishes. There have been improvements since I first started using the website but it still needs some work. Don’t get me wrong, I love Click List. For handicapped people it is certainly an improvement over riding around on electric cart. The Click List employees are great..Version: 13.2.1

ComplicatedI used the add to shop. When I circled the item I guess it gets added to a list. But on the add special there are usually multiple items listed. Example your 5 items at 1.00 discount. I could never figure out how to change it to the correct item let alone add it to my shopping cart. I was never able to see items in my cart reflect the sale price. Towards the end when completing transactions there were three items that had a price change. But it never allowed you to remove them. Only option was to agree to the increase and proceed to checkout. Not a very good option since I am a budget shopper. I was Leary about using this and personally prefer to pick my own fruits and vegetables but I have been sick and thought I would give it a try..Version: 35.2

App does not exclude categories properly and categories are badI do not like the coupon format change, which went from seeing coupons in particular categories in an expansion type menu (using + and -) to one that now forces the user to select which categories they would like to see, particularly because this selection feature does not work in the first place. For the past few app updates, I have been trying to exclude the ClickList Bonus section because I don't shop online, and although I have selected to exclude that while browsing coupons, it continuously shows up in the list. In the past, I would have just left that section closed and expanded the categories that are relevant to me, but that is no longer available and is not user friendly at all. Please fix this. FrustratingI sometimes avoid shopping at Fry’s because of this app. I order online for pickup. But the app doesn’t allow you to filter the items in a category. So if you choose “pantry” you obviously have thousands of items to choose from that you can’t filter to find what your looking for. It’s endless scrolling and wasting a lot of time until you get lucky. The search doesn’t work well either. I try searching for items using keys words that are in the name and nothing comes up. I end up having to do the endless scroll and eventually find it. Very annoying. A filter option that includes brands and types at least would be so helpful and would save a lot of time. It’s so frustrating that I usually shop at another store..Version: 22.0

App issues and pick upOrder substitution doesn’t really work as well as I thought it would. I had two items I needed to sub and it only showed me one. They both had the check marked for allowable substitution. I had to buy the item on a separate ticket with a couple hours later time slot. I just woke up but I placed this order yesterday so I didn’t have this issue. This app is not as convenient as I hoped. I called the customer service, they called the store and the store AT FIRST said they couldn’t modify the time slot for the ONE item I couldn’t substitute in the beginning. I asked the rep to have the store cancel the order then. She placed me on hold and when she returned she said the store changed their mind ad agreed to NOW add the one Item to the order in my 7am to 8am slot. I cancelled my order and need to give this less than one star but I know that’s not possible. Going to shop at Walmart instead..Version: 42.4

App Needs ImprovementsApp works well enough to get by but doesn’t provide all options that may be offered in the weekly ad. For example, 18 oz blueberries are in the add but not an option to add to your cart. Additionally, the app provides you the weekly ad, if you click on an item it’ll add it your “Your List” but not to your cart. So not very user friendly in that respect. App also doesn’t offer you the option to pick your own substitution like instacart does. You have to rely on the staff to pick for you or choose to have no substitution and forego that item altogether. After a purchase/pickup has been completed, you can see a receipt but it doesn’t show you the items that you weren’t able to get. So if you lose the printed copy, you have no reference to add it to your next shopping list..Version: 25.3

ABSOLUTELY THE WORSE GROCERY SHOPPING EVER!!!!!I have tried this service 5-6 times and not one time has it gone well. I’m asked to choose the store nearest my home. That’s a complete waste of effort because InstaCart sends the proxy shoppers to whatever store it chooses. Which means that if you put items in your cart that are available at YOUR chosen store, they might not be in stock at InstaCart’s chosen location. So on every occasion, 50% of my groceries are refunded. That makes it impossible to shop for meals. Say you want to make chicken soup and you put chicken, noodles, broth, herbs, carrots and black pepper in your cart - all of which are in stock at your store. Instacart goes to a completely other store that’s out of chicken, noodles & carrots! How does that work? This time, the store was out of most of my items. I had to cancel the order midway. Which is ridiculous with Fry’s charging $9.95 PLUS $5-$20 for the driver! I called the corporate office and spoke to a regional director for Kroger/Fry’s. He had no idea that Instacart was going to whatever store it wanted. That was a year ago and nothing has changed. I don’t have this problem with Smart & Final or Safeway or Albertsons or Whole Foods. ONLY FRY’S! What’s worse is that the executives at Kroger do not care. This is my last online order!.Version: 53.2

APPS??Much to my surprise-I today learned that I haven’t been getting most of the DEALS that Frys has been advertising, and promoting!? I’ve used this same store on Bell and I-17for about 8 years-and even have a Frys credit card to completely get all the best!!? WRONG!! Today, I saw Raspberries for about $1.47/container!Wow, that’s great! When I scanned them-I noticed that I must have an APP in order to get that price!??Well-i thought that by using my scanner on my key chain AND my Frys CC-I could get the best dealWRONG AGAIN! They told me that I don’t have it-so I had to pay $3.27/container!? They wouldn’t even assist me with a download, or show me how to do it- so I left the raspberries and walked out!!! Guess I’ll use WINCO just up the street-at least I know exactly how much it’s costing at checkout!! By the way-I’m not the DUMBEST, just because I’m not good at all these computer generated pricing!? Are they hoping that some of us OLDER Idiots won’t catch on-and pay them more than things are advertised for!??.Version: 57.0

Constantly logs me out, can’t print a shopping list.I have been using this app for 3 years and hate it. I can’t even print a shopping list, since one item takes up 1/4 of a page. I’d use the app in-store but it keeps logging me out as soon as I enter the store. And the store wifi is so bad that I can’t log back in. The app is also a sensory overload with all of the advertisements. The lists are a pain to organize, especially if you decide you want to shop instead of get it delivered. I also really don’t like the layouts of the shopping list within the app which is glitchy and often puts the item under the banner and shifts things around as you are shopping. I do love the store itself. They always have what I need and more. I wish they had a simple shopping app where you can just simply scan in what you need and get a printable or at least accessible list that is easy to read..Version: 63.1

Use to be my go to way to get groceriesThis was the way to shop. Make the menu, go to the Frys app and find what was needed on ClickList, pick a time after work to get the groceries. It was worth the small fee for me to pull into the parking space, wait a few and have the weeks groceries loaded into the back of the car. Then at the beginning of the year the system crashed and burned. I kept clinging to the hope that they would fix the endless technical difficulties that crashed every attempt to place an order, and wiped out several orders after an hour of frustration. This is February and there is no change at all. This was a smooth app with minimal issues and none were technical difficulties. Now it seldom works, never for more than a few seconds at a time, and it is like a revenge of an IT guy as he was leaving the company. I rated five stars when it started, now it’s a minus ten..Version: 13.4.1

Your pickersMy wife and I decided to use click list. First and foremost we had to go on the computer to order our items because your app isn’t worth a bag of hockey pucks. My wife went and picked up our items and low and behold we didn’t get quite a few items we ordered. Whom ever your pickers are need to be TRAINED! They are terrible. They also gave my wife an attitude. We will be going to another store and actually picking our own items because your employees are terrible and have a huge attitude. If I knew your corporate address I would WRITE A LETTER to the CEO. I saw the “Kroger commercial” thanking your employees. They need to be retrained in customer service. I will never thank an employee of Fry’s. FYI: This was in Anthem, Arizona. I also tried to return something and instead of I’m sorry or we can’t take the item, I got someone in the customer service area who rudely pointed to a sign and stated, WE CANT TAKE IT BACK! The person who brought out our order was rude to my wife as well..Version: 21.7.1

Good selectionI like the supplies/food I can get at our Fry’s location but honestly I stopped going. Why? Because the last 4 times I did pick up, the employee wanted to take my debit card inside to scan it, then bring it back with receipt. Which makes everything take so much longer and taking my card out of sight, not fond of. They had these hand scanners that they were using at your car, but now they aren’t. So, idk if it’s management that isn’t handling this situation OR if it’s a money problem, but they need to either get the hand held sets back or find a way for payment to run through the app, without handing over debit card. Like Walmart does. I did file a formal complaint. I have not gone back to see if they fixed it. This is the Yuma Arizona location..Version: 53.2

Worst app I’ve ever used in my lifeI tried making an account 3 times. The first time it said the account was created but they had technical difficulties signing me in. I tried again, and it told me the email was already in use. So I tried to do “forgot my password” but it kept force refreshing the page before anything could happen and giving me more error messages. I tried 2 different email addresses, same thing. I finally was able to make an account on the browser, but I cannot sign in on the app. Even though I am logged in with the same email address and same password (copied and pasted) on the browser. I would rather use an app. I have to do order pickups frequently and with it being this much of a headache, I’ll probably just take my business elsewhere. I am technologically literate and have over 500 passwords saved so the problem is not user error, I know how to make accounts. Please fix your app. I have updated it to the newest version as well..Version: 57.0

Errors galore!I downloaded the app to be able to use a digital coupon and this was the beginning of my downfall. I tried to sign up and entered my number and received a something went wrong error. Fine, maybe my # wasn't registered. I tried again, whoops something went wrong again.. x3. No additional information so I was not sure if it was something I entered, or an app error. I gave up but in the car I decided to give it one last go, hoorah it finally worked on the 5th attempt. I then went to the weekly ad and tapped on the item to clip the coupon, bummer.. another error: There were no results for "FRYSWeeklyDigital1." Try searching another term. This can be avoided by navigating to Savings, view all coupons, and clipping from there but why is the functionality broken from the ad?.Version: 50.1

App is difficult to use, substitution method is badThe app for pickup orders is difficult to use, and you can’t add discounts that are on your shoppers card to pickup orders. You also can’t use paper coupons at the time of order on the app. Additionally, you have to either select to allow substitutions or not and won’t THAT be a surprise because you don’t get notified of substitutions ahead of time, they just make them. That worries me because if I’ve selected substitutions are okay for Turkey sausage, if they’re out of stock does that mean I’ll suddenly receive and be charged for beef sausage? I’ve also found that if you don’t allow substitutions and they delete something from your order and it causes you to go below $35 then they charge you the pickup fee of $5, which is unfair and then you have to go through the customer service rigmarole. Other stores have these issues sorted out so there’s no reason that a huge chain like Kroger shouldn’t be able to handle this by now. There’s no excuse for this being new as it’s something that’s been in the works for two years. It’s not that difficult to notify customers of substitutions and issues so that we can cancel our order if needed. I really don’t want to end up with a bunch of groceries I don’t really want and I’m not able to go into a grocery store right now because I’m not able to walk. I’m at their mercy and they’re not doing a very good job..Version: 40.0

Process is not user-friendlyI think navigating from your shopping list to adding them to the cart is not user-friendly. I’m not sure why there is a “list” option. If someone is going to place an order they don’t need to create a list and then add it to cart. Obviously if they are shopping they are wanting to put in directly into the cart and proceed to check out. I couldn’t find an easy way to navigate and I ended up with duplicate items in my cart and then I had to go through and edit each item back to what I originally wanted because my cart and list somehow combined itself. now you may be sitting here reading this thinking oh my God how could you not figure this out. but I’m guessing that you are familiar with this procedure so it’s easy for you but for somebody that is not familiar with us and goes to place an order this is not user-friendly..Version: 49.1

Good concept, poor implementationI’ve used this app twice and it’s pretty glitchy. For one thing I have to start at square one each time I use it. That’s annoying. Secondly it’s not setup well. For instance in dairy all the items are higgly piggly, all the butter isn’t listed together. I did, finally, use the search function but unless you know EXACTLY what you want you’re screwed. You’ve got to watch the quantity carefully because sometimes moving from one menu to another the app will increase your order. I’m not even sure it’s not intentional! And lastly substitutions. The app made me uncheck each and every box if I didn’t want substitutes even though there’s a switch that says global no substitutes. I’m wondering what someone would substitute for a banana? And although I looked carefully for it I didn’t see spices. They may be there but I’ve invested enough time in ordering as it is. It would have been faster just to drive the mile and get the stuff myself, which I would have but I had my leg operated on and I can’t walk for a bit..Version: 16.3

Every update makes me re-login, updates frequentlyThey app is fairly well organized, but the shopping list feature is kind of hidden. And putting things in the cart instead kind of works. It is nice that you can add coupons to your card from the app and see the adds. But the most annoying thing about this app is that it is not functional without logging in AND it logs you out every couple of weeks when it updates. Either keep me signed it when it updates or make at least the shopping list feature and the ad feature functional without being signed in. Because of this I am looking about switching to another app. Which might be nice to avoid them pushing their pickup and delivery groceries..Version: 19.4

Frys app /InstacartI am thankful that there are apps to arrange grocery/food delivery as I’m unable to shop or prepare food myself due to ongoing medical issues. Frys has mostly been lovely. Ive seen some snarky comments from delivery people from different companies re customers who are just too lazy to shop or cook for themselves. If only. So I’ve discovered that if my local store has in stock certain items I need, I have to shop the Frys app for delivery instead of Instacart if I want to be sure to get those items.. This has happened to me with several stores, there’s no way to ask that an Instacart shopper please go to a specific location. I’m not sure why as I thought it was Instacart doing the shopping for Frys even though I’m using the Frys website. As I pd to get free delivery through Instacart, it’s irritating to have to shop again and pay a $9.99 delivery fee and another tip when the Instacart app shopper could have gone to a store 5 minutes from my house that had what I needed in stock...not a store 30-40 minutes away depending on traffic. What I do like about the Instacart app and wish the Frys app would do is the ability to order +/- 1 lb of deli meat etc. Being limited to ordering 1lb of deli meat, I don’t eat that quickly and it spoils. Please ad this feature..Version: 24.0

Fry’s AppThe Fry’s app has been “updated” unfortunately my phone does not support 15.7 or greater so I can’t get access to the app and apparently not able to get digital coupons…not everyone has the newer phones, one we can’t afford a thousand dollars or a new phone or need all the newer bells and whistles. So….guess I have to shop elsewhere since many of Fry’s discounts are tied to the digital coupons and some EVEN digital coupons AND card. Really????? Also very difficult to submit this because all the nicknames that are needed to submit “have already been taken”. Really? Even my horse’s name has been taken..even BBQ has been taken…maybe because I entered 2 stars which is decreasing to 1, let me try 5 stars and see if it goes through???.Version: 57.3

Only downloading this bc the grocery store is close to meI think it’s ridiculous to expect customers to download an app, add coupons and then check out. I have been using Kroger stores for years and think this is the stupidest thing ever. I went to buy nectarines for 88¢/lb, but at checkout they were $2.99/lb. I went to guest services who said even though the fruit was advertised as the discount applied “with card” it meant with the app and coupon already clipped. An unnecessary extra step that makes me hate this store. I should not need to download an app to use coupons when I’m already a member. I’d rather drive the extra miles for Walmart, where the prices are advertised and rung up the same, than sit in my car or wait in the grocery store to clip coupons on an app. Further, the app won’t let me or my partner log-in with phone numbers or member account numbers. We’ve tried two different phone numbers that are accepted at the register. What a frustrating experience..Version: 60.1

Glitchy appIt’s convenient sure, but just barely: App is super glitchy and about 1/3 of the time the cart or search don’t work and you just have to come back later and try. They delivery only items are mixed in with pickup items and I almost always end up with something in the wrong cart. Filtering is impossible because you have to redo the filter after every item search! There is no way (at least that I can figure out) to add items from your shopping list or from the flier/ads to your cart. If there is a problem and they have to rescan your items in person (which has happened 5 times this year, so not too uncommon) they can’t/don’t add your shopper number on so IF you notice, you have to go in to customer service and have them manually adjust all the sale prices by hand and you don’t get fuel points in those instances. There is no way to complain if something is missing or moldy. You have to call in, wait on hold, be transferred, wait on hold, get a manager, and then wait on the phone while they refund whatever was wrong. This is probably a *feature* not a flaw so that people don’t find it worth their time to complain if something is missing or moldy or past date. But it makes me like the Walmart app better because I can flag missing items from the app without calling in..Version: 53.0

The fry’s app could use an improvement.When I shop online on the Fry’s website I usually add items to my list as I’m scrolling through the weekly Ad. This is an easy thing to do when you’re using an actual computer like a laptop or PC but not so much when you’re using a smartphone. Why? Because I’ve noticed that the ‘add to list’ button is replaced with a ‘shop now’ button on the mobile version of the app. What’s worse is that when I click on the ‘shop now’ button, it doesn’t even redirect me to the item that I had just clicked on. It just takes me to a list of the items on the ad but now I have to scroll to get to the item I was trying to add to my list only instead of being able to do it off the ad view I now have to find it through a list. And to make things even more confusing the add to list button is easy to miss on this menu because it doesn’t even look like a button, ‘add to cart’ is the only one that looks like a button so I nearly missed the add-to-list button on this menu. Talk about a messy setup. Fry’s ought to test their app with one of those eye movement experiments where they have people look at the app and a machine analyzes where their eyes are moving and what their eyes are drawn to..Version: 58.1

Needs improvementThe app frequently fails to load previously saved items, forcing you to go to the web version (and remember what you already added). Many items in store cannot be found using the search feature. Nutrition info is absent for many items or a poor quality photo that you can’t read even if you zoom in. The special instructions box will not let you use abbreviations and will autocorrect you, making it difficult for the shopper to understand what you meant. I’d also like to see a feature for “no bag list” that applies to every item rather than having to put notes under a random item. I can’t even count how many times I have received plastic bags that I need to reload into my re-useable ones. Who knows if they get thrown away or recycled from there?.Version: 15.0

Slow and time consumingLove being able to use the app but patience is not my strong suit. 1. The app responds so slow and sometimes not at all. 2. Filtering options to speed up the process are almost non-existent. 3. Viewing coupons and deals only shows the 1st few words of the item and that’s usually the brand name and the image is so small, you’re forced to guess and open each to see what the item is. 4. Adding a item to your list doesn’t allow you to actually add to your cart. You have to go to the items page to add to cart…a 4 step process! Come on Kroger…get your IT team to do some actual user interface testing!!! You’re a 31.4 billion dollar company because of your customers so show us you appreciate us as much as we appreciate you!!! Update…currently 12 of us waiting in pickup at 5:30 pm with only ONE person bringing orders out!! Yuppers slow and time consuming! Try asking your lameass programmers to add an overbooked feature when your stores are understaffed!.Version: 39.4.1

Terrible!If you are in the Buckeye, AZ area, do not get this service! I have used this for almost a year now and it’s worthless! The service was great for the first two months but has totally bottomed out. Items are substituted even though I ask for nothing to be substituted which ends up costing me more $$. I ask to be notified when my groceries are brought and they’ve been left on my doorstep with no notice. I have carnivores in the area! I don’t want to open my doors to a pack of coyotes especially when I have small children with special needs. I’ve tried to talk to customer service about this repeatedly and I’m disconnected. I will not ever do this again. On that note, I need to go back to the store to pick up the things that my shopper said weren’t available. We always go back and only one time couldn’t find something. App complicates the in-store shopping experienceI get emails from Fry’s telling me about digital coupons with a link to download them. I click the link, it opens the browser and asks me to login EVERY SINGLE TIME! So, I open the app and cannot see the coupon referred to in the email. Why not have the link open the app? The COUPON tab has 360 coupons one has to scroll through to find the coupon mentioned in the email. I think this app would only be useful for people who want Fry’s to shop for them. I cannot access the app in a Fry’s store. I think their WiFi blocks it. If I can open it, It tells me I have no digital coupons saved. Making someone download a digital coupon to use it complicates shopping. Why not make it easier for shoppers by removing the DOWNLOAD COUPON step? Customers already have the card so you’re already collecting data..Version: 20.0

App Is Constantly BrokenI’ve been using this app for almost 3 months, and I am shocked at the 4.8 star review. Are these bots? This app is constantly BROKEN and/or GLITCHING OUT. I spent 30 minutes adding items to my cart for pick-up, just for the app to be broken when I go to schedule a pick up time, making it impossible for me to go through with a pick up order. I called their tech support just for one of the associates to tell me I have to do the process all over again on the website because this is a recurring issue. WHATS THE POINT OF THE APP THEN?? But wait, there’s MORE. Today when I went to sign in, IT WOULDN'T EVEN LET ME, so I continued without signing in, and I couldn’t even use the search function because apparently there is an issue with that too. FRYS PLEASE FIX YOUR APP..Version: 63.4

Unresolved issuesI loved the Frys app for a long time- it was pretty streamlined and relatively easy to use. But for the last month or so there have been a few very frustrating glitches. 1)My order has been cancelled when there were still times available for pickup. I was able to go back and reorder everything, but if I hadn’t randomly checked my email I wouldn’t have known and would’ve showed up to a pickup time with no order. 2) the substitution option no longer works. This is SUPER FRUSTRATING!!! Typically if something isn’t available you get a text and the option to review (approve/decline) substitutions. I get the text but there’s an error EVERY TIME I click the link for substitutions. I have updated the app probably 3-4 times since this started and it is never fixed. I’ve submitted feedback and comments, and nothing. Getting substitutions that I don’t want us super frustrating and wasteful PLEASE FIX THIS!!.Version: 38.1
