Stark Stretch for Negative User Reviews

Do not likeThere seems to be no instruction for each of the stretches there also seems to be no flow to the routine and I don't like that at all. Also there's only one workout routine with this app not happy about that either. I would like at least three one for beginners, intermediate and advanced. If this app was set up like the app Yoga Studio I think it would be awesome. Sorry just being honest I am looking for 15-30-60 min routines that I can do before/after I go for a run..Version: 2.2

Not that greatIt certainly doesn't justify a £0.69 pricing. There's many stretches missing from the app it's very basic and there's too much white space on the app. (White space being space that could have been used for other things like info but instead is simply blank) the design is good but the app is simply sub par....Version: 1.1

Not so greatHas a reasonable number of exercises...allows you to add them to a program...but does not allow you to do anything with the program! I created 3 for leg stretching but when I clicked on them to do them it wouldn't even show the exercises included. Very disappointed..Version: 1.2

Not quite there yet but lots of potentialI like this app. It lets me set up my own stretch program. Unfortunately, there are only 60 stretches to choose from now which is pretty limiting. I'm hoping more stretch choices will be added in the future as well as the ability to add your own stretches (just the name, no pictures). Also the timer/count function is a pain! I like the ability to choose how many reps but find having to put in a rest period ( in minutes - too long - not seconds) is a real pain and not helpful..Version: 2.3

OkayI gave this app a 3 star rating because the stretching routine was just one side of the body. So, half way through the stretch I would switch sides..Version: 2.2

Database of stretchesThis shows dozens of exercises, but the videos don't show how to enter the pose, just a static picture of the trainer already in the pose. No description is offered other than the name of the stretch (Abs1, Abs2 etc.).Version: 1.2.1

Good but....This app have good content but the thing that I didn't like that it start to download videos without asking me!.Version: 2.4

Terrible; Stay Away!!When you select one set, and there is an exercise where you stretch both sides of your body (like stretching one calf at a time), the app doesn't automatically stretch BOTH sides. There is no way to select anything other than "easy" exercises. There is only 1 pre-made program for you..Version: 2.4

Nice selection but needs more featuresI purchased this since there seems to be a lack of decent stretching options that don't cost a lot. I actually do think they have a nice selection of stretches in here, but they do not have any instructions with the stretches. There are videos, but they only show the final position of the stretch with no guidelines or instructions of how to properly perform the stretch. If they added that, I think it would be a nice stand alone stretch app..Version: 1.1

No explanation what to doThis is just the list of poses, no explanation, no dynamics. There are plenty of other apps out there that are way more interesting and stimulating..Version: 2.4

Don’t buy… it is a scam!App videos won’t download I paid 4.99 for it not to let me see any of the workouts!!!!!!.Version: 2.5.13

This is sort of useless...So yeah, it has stretches. They are good stretches and the pretty fit girl is pleasant to look at. But the "videos" aren't more than gifs that don't explain anything. Sometimes the angle they took the picture from isn't very clear, so you aren't sure you are doing it right. Also you can set up programs... Which they give you no explanation on how to do that so after about 10 minutes of doing it wrong, I figured it out but then realized it doesn't help. The program still only shows you one excersise than stops...so you constantly have to stop what you are doing to choose the next one. And why are they even "videos" when, given what they show you they could have easily been pictures. I regret paying for this..Version: 1.2

Best if the FourI'm looking for a stretching program that lets me build a stretch routine based on my personal needs. I tried these four apps below, that receive high marks on the App Store, but each limitations. Maybe the 4 can work together to create a killer app. 1. Virtual Trainer Stretch: Best of the four because it allows you to select any stretch from a home screen and they use a real person in the images. There are 60 stretches, which may meet your needs but most of the stretches recommended by my physical therapist aren't in their library. 2. Performance Stretching: Great images and appears to have a large library but the only way to access the stretches is to use their pre-canned routines, which don't suit me (never understood why exercise apps feel they need to build routines for us). There's no way to build your own stretch routine. 3. Select Stretch Trainer: Allows you to build a stretch routine, but they use poorly animated characters. Also, no way to know how large their libraray is because you can only access by selecting a muscle group first. 4. Start Stretching: Incredibly basic...only 9 stretches and they use animated characters.Version: 2.3

More movesI wish there were more exercises on here, when I google TRX there are a lot more exercises out there and has a trainer I feel I need more then the basics!.Version: 2.2

The only thingI like the app, but what would put on the love list is a voice with timer warning you of time ending etc... So I could focus on the exercise instead of the time. Feb 24/15 Was going to up the star I gave because I had a voice countdown and loved it. Made my stretching really effective because I didn't have to look at timer anymore. But it stopped working. Would like to know why?.Version: 2.3.1

Didn't understand some of the stretchesI'm glad they have "videos" but some of them are too static for me to know whether I'm doing them correctly or not, which is scary, because as far as I understand, performing a stretch incorrectly can be damaging....Version: 2.3

Ideal for mostThis app does what I was looking for. You can create your own session or use their whole body pre prepared stretch routine. Only thing I would change would be to explain how to get into stretch positions as there are some I haven't done before so I'm not sure if I'm doing it right or causing myself more damage than good..Version: 2.2

Rip OffThis app is a rip off. For $4.99 one would expect more choices than are offered here, especially when there are numerous free apps that offer more with additional features absent from this app. Trust me, don't waste your money. To get any comprehensive selection of stretches requires $$$ that other apps offer for free..Version: 2.4

Could be greatI appreciate how some effort was put into making this app look good. Compared to many of the other stretching apps out there, this one feels like it belongs on the iPad. Clean interface and clean videos. Now, unfortunately some things are missing. Even though it's obvious, it would be helpful to have videos for switching sides on exercised that work out the sides individually. The whole point of being guided is to be told what to do. Currently all the videos are of a single side. ( only stretching the right leg, for instance ) I also would have like more preset workouts. You only get one, and if you don't particularly care for it, you have to create the rest yourself. And finally, it would be good to have a written explanation as well, for when the videos are not self evident..Version: 2.2

AudioOnly issue I have is that it doesn't have sound..Version: 2.2

Videos won’t download...worthlessI paid $4.99 for an app that won’t work... I’m not sure if the server is down or what, but the app will not download the videos therefore will not work at all....Version: 2.5.3
