✓ A Good Idea But Lacks Follow-ThroughI was really excited for this app. While it did get me writing consistently for about two weeks, a glitch caused the app to crash and I lost all of my work. An update was released that fixed the crashing issue, but when I tried to contact support to see if I could get my lost files back, I received no response. This was a few months ago. Thankfully, I backed up my files; otherwise, I would’ve been out of luck. I expected more from this app, particularly because I paid for it. Overall, it’s fine for small things, but I wouldn’t trust it for big projects because I lost some of my work..Version: 1.7.13
✓ I must be doing something wrongI wrote an email to the developers about an issue that is beyond annoying; moreover, I have had no choice but to gives this app one star because they have failed to respond. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong, but soon after I begin a note a prompt with a suggestions pops up. Fair enough. That aspect seems awesome. It seems very intuitive. The problem is that once I acknowledge the prompt, as soon as I begin to write another one pops up, and from then on they pop without any reason for it, which renders the app useless because it doesn’t allow me to write. Unless, I am doing something wrong. It is only when the options on the top right hand corner turn white that I can click on one that it “corrects” itself. When I do, and go back to writing, it seems to have cleared the prompt issue. The problem then is that it clears the prompt issue completely. I get no more prompts. What I was beginning to think was very intuitive, has turned out to be otherwise..Version: 1.8.7
✓ Doesnt save correctlyThe first few times, i thought i was maybe myself that forgot to click save before leaving the app, but im sure now, the app doesnt save the most recent saves I made sure this time, before going to bed that i saved my new written paragraph, and this morning when i went to check only the beginning of the sentence was left which was one of the saves i made while i was writing This is a pretty big issue for a writing app Please fix I like the idea and the simple and sleek design of the app, but issues like saving shouldnt exist.Version: 1.8.9

✓ Unstable and UnhelpfulThe app deleted all of my writings that I had over the years and the newer ones, but it also won’t save any of my current writings—giving me a bunch of error codes. When I look for options to help me, it’s nothing but promotion for the app rather than instructions or support. I’m just extremely disappointed..Version: 1.8.4

Once I turned on custom prompts, it no longer shows me ones from the app, and I wanted the two to blend. ✓ No longer maintained and other issuesThe app was last updated a year ago. When I reset my statistics it deleted all my work, as reported in other reviews. (Luckily, I had a back-up.) I've also always had issues synchronizing across devices. The app has very little functionalities. I do not recommend spending money on it, there are alternatives..Version: 1.8.9
✓ Well..It’s a great app and I love it, but one thing is unclear. When you go to erase your writing stats, be careful, because it will erase everything. Like, everything. All your writing and stuff which was extremely upsetting after I lost my 2,000 word story..Version: 1.8.7

✓ Needs to provide prompts throughout various writing assignmentsThis is Brittany Daniels. For this app to be useful for me it first needs to ask me what I am going to write. Then it needs to give me prompts along the way that are adapted to the writing assignments I currently get and will get in the future while I am working on getting an A.A.S degree in Design and Media Production from Georgia Piedmont Technical College in Clarkston, GA. This is coming from a part time working low income adult college student diagnosed so far with autism, generalized anxiety disorder and dyspraxia who has a very hard time getting her thoughts onto a blank Word Document, because thoughts go so fast to my brain, by the time I go to do whatever writing assignment my professor has currently assigned, I forget what I am going to write. Not many or any apps out there to help me with writing, especially when I am a visual learner who needs prompts along the way of any writing assignments to be given to me to help me get my thoughts down. Also being able to export to Microsoft Word & PowerPoint and other software, like any software under the Adobe CC 2019 collection is going to be very useful for me. Any help will be needed..Version: 1.8.4
✓ More options would be a plus.It’s simple and easy, and helps me get past the hardest part of writing: The very beginning. But my initial impression was that it gives actual, full prompts. Not just half of or one and a half sentences. In my opinion an option for a couple sentences giving extra guidance as a prompt would be a plus. Along with the ability to underline, bold, italicize, and highlight, a folder option would making using the app a breeze. Or at least an option to organize how you see what you’ve written instead of it being one long list. It’s a very useful app for practice but it would be nice if it was more than just for that. ✓ I love this app. Here's why I gave it 1 starAn update was released a few months ago. That update added a really stupid and inconvenient tagging and filtering system that just makes it harder to find stuff u just wrote. But not only that, the update erased EVERYTHING I had ever done in prompts for like the past year. Literally everything was gone. I contacted prompts support and got no response. Months later I tried to contact them again, and each time I pressed the email Button the app would crash. Better customer service and support and also, find a way to retrieve all my notes..Version: 1.8.1

✓ I think this probably deserves much more starsI say I think so because it did inspire me to spend about 4 hours writing a song that I was very moved by. I was genuinely excited to put it to music today. It was one the most unique and intriguing lyric I had ever written. But I guess I should have payed closer attention to the version I got having the auto-save “temporarily disabled”. The song... gone. My bad for trusting a third party app to save my work and not exporting it. Or assuming it could have something a stupid as the auto-save default as OFF! I am so disgusted..Version: 1.8.4
