✓ OkayHaving played the others the biggest downfall on this one is that 5/10 passes you make is a “forward pass”. They’re way overdoing it. Same with when the time is up and you’re attacking, all of sudden nobody can catch a ball without doing a knock on.Version: 1.0.5
✓ Good game but disappointingI grinded rugby nations 22, it was a great game even though some of the mechanics were faulty such the scram half never being able to actually pick the ball and go after a ruck or the steps being very slow which doesn’t let you step the opposing player. I was very excited to download the 24, everything looks nice and the new 4 nations is awesome but there’s still some obvious bad mechanics such as the long pass being impossible to use as well as the rapidity of the passes when spamming. Also, the whole game looks slow, doing a drop kick bugs. As a whole, the developers need to do a new mechanics patch to make the game more fluid. Thanks ..Version: 1.0.2
✓ Amazing game, too many bugsRucks I will be winning and then they will suddenly have the ball/possession. Drop goals go straight, dead between the posts and it still “misses”. Passing, when I tap the button to pass to my right 2 times, the ball should be passed 2 times not 3-4 causing the ball to be “purposely thrown into touch” giving the opposition a penalty. Overall great game but still has a bit of work to be done.Version: 1.0.4

✓ Why is the ability to catch the ball a stat players have?There is never any point in playing any of the weaker teams because they just drop the ball instead of letting you actually play the game and then you can’t make the weaker players better without winning games, you see the issue here right? It’s way too easy playing any of the stronger teams and then physically impossible to play the weaker teams purely due to the game deciding “F you the player will drop the ball for no reason”.Version: 1.0.7
✓ Still quite a few bugsThere are instances when the game just totally freezes, or the weirdest one - my fly half scored a try then went to kick the conversion but picked up the ball and ran to score again and kept running and running and the camera zoomed out into the stadium then outside landscape and kept zooming further and further out. It was wild! Also the forwards are way to slow and the backs are way to fast. The rugby league version is better in proportions for speed etc.Version: 1.0.2

✓ Good but daft in some aspectsIf the glitches in this game were sorted out it would be 5 star. It gets frustrating when a player drops a ball for no reason other than it is predetermined. ✓ Balancing and energy bar system can be improvedIf you play against a higher rated team, instead of being beaten by the other team’s higher skill, the game takes it upon itself to make sure that for the other higher rated team to win your lower rated team must constantly make mistakes or loose every single ruck. And the worst of all it makes it nearly impossible for drop goals, you press the button to go for a drop goal and if your out ranked then it just refuses to do it. It would just be nice if the game made it more believable to loose, what’s the point of having the option of picking lower tier nations if it is impossible to have a good game against higher nations. The energy bars system is just the devs shooting themselves in the foot as it limits only 3 games before you need to wait hours for them to be recharged, this personally decreases playing time..Version: 1.0.6
✓ Re writing my review….This is a huge improvement over rugby nations 22, everything is better….gameplay, graphics, content, …you can customize your team kits, there is even sponsors now, and you can edit any team name. The cons are: Games are way to short and it takes too long for energy to restore, it is so unbalanced. Packs take too long to open or you have to use gold. Can’t use funds to buy gold, have to use real money or obtain in packs. You can pay $ 9.99 for a week of unlimited energy and some gold, funds, a pack….that’s ridiculous. I have no issues with someone trying to make as much as they can on a game, but not when it is at the expense of overall player satisfaction and enjoyment. I would gladly pay a premium for unlimited energy. Or games should be longer and energy not as long to refill. Also, a better overall career mode, have the Top 14, called the French League…etc, and have us progress through a career mode instead of “divisions”. Mobile has become my gaming platform, but I might as well just get nitendo switch and rugby 22. Note to the developer, if you are trying to make a rugby game on par with switch games etc, then have a more balanced game with energy, packs, etc. I for one would be willing to pay for the game and with some in app purchases, if game play was longer, had perhaps unlimited energy, etc. If you are trying to just make money….carry on as is I suppose, but my opinion is, this game will die a slow death if it’s not changed to be more balanced. ✓ Such wasted potentialThis, like the previous iterations of the game have such potential to be a great game; a simple, competitive sports game in mobile format. instead there seems to be inherent flaws that just aren’t properly corrected. while they have almost entirely corrected the problem of passes going in the opposite direction, it seems to be at the expense of exacerbating other flaws, specifically the game outright ignoring button presses: a kick or pass is not a suggestion, it’s a command. this could be the result of the game devolving into a laggy mess much sooner than before. i used to be able to play a few matches before the game started lagging to the point of unplayability. now i’m lucky to get through one game before the difficulty is increased by requiring me to guess what’s already happened before it’s displayed. honestly, it shouldn’t be this hard to program a game that works on a mobile platform. other games run smoothly so it’s not a matter of the device being old or underpowered. it’s such a shame as the game shows such potential and would be so fun and addictive if it actually BLOODY WORKED more than it didn’t! i really want to play this game but it seems the potential exceeds the programmers’ grasps and it’s frustrating because it won’t run properly more often than not. the addition of choosing a sponsor for additional rewards was nice. the sponsor even shows up on the in game kits.Version: 1.0.5
✓ Good but frustrating mechanics that can be fixedGames good apart from a few issues that make it really frustrating to play. The first issue is that the teams AI will not pick up the ball for some reason when it’s rolling on the ground this results in possession being given to the other team almost every time the ball hits the ground. Another issue is when you are playing in a final and go into extra time for some reason my team will lose all their numbers and I’ll have to play the rest of over time with 5 players compared to the opponents 15. Another thing that I would like to see in the game is that when you open a pack and get a player make it so you will not get a player you already have in your squad. This will make building your dream team more fun as you will not have to worry about having 5 of the same number 8s in your team..Version: 1.0.5

✓ Trash gameThe game is so bad, to make the higher rated teams look good they make your team completely useless like they don't even go for the ball. I've had numerous players just stand there when I clearly held down the tackle button. ✓ Good enough gameplay, lazy overall packageGameplay is fine for a mobile app, nothing special, scratches the rugby itch. Club mode is pretty well paced, not the most offensive timer based reward system. Regular free rewards. So many bugs and poor/lazy design choices. Played 4 tournaments with one nation, got the same player card 3 times, have no further incentive to play tournaments. For the extra card in a pack ads break or simply don’t open. Unlocked packs go missing. Picking up a loose ball players always pass the wrong direction. Stadium levels 3 & 4 are identical Defence is atrocious, almost no player agency. Rucking, mauling and scrums are fake mini games, your input makes almost no difference. Perfect timing will be punished for no obvious reason, and poor timing can still get you a penalty or pushover try. No offside penalties..Version: 1.0.7

✓ GreedyThe gameplay is solid, for the most part. Kicking, passing, lineouts, scrummaging, and graphics all stand out considering the game is for IOS. It’s a shame then that the game has some serious issues that are frustrating at best and unplayable at worst. At every turn there is a request for you to buy one of the two in game currencies or one of the packs. It is difficult to progress in the main club mode as even when these packs are awarded freely they take hours to unlock. The energy system prevents you from playing more than three games at a time without watching ads or paying, which is a shocking exploitation of people who just want to play what is a good base game. On top of that the match length cannot be changed (circa 6-8 mins). When playing a moderately higher rated team, their quality is translated in this short time to you losing rucks, scrums and missing 60% of tackles which seems excessive. Many fans I’d wager would be happy to pay upfront for a good game rather than take this scamming. I like the base game and was impressed with the previous game so it is sad to see it like this. I had to delete the game as it wasn’t worth the hassle unfortunately..Version: 1.0.7

I can’t see that there is any way to adjust the level of gaming like on the PlayStation for instance you can choose rookie, pro, all star, legend etc. I played 3 games in the 4 nations with the wallabies and I beat the all blacks, Argentina and South Africa quite easily, only had 1 try scored against me in 3 games. Lineouts shouldn’t be 100% guaranteed on own throw. Make not straight throws a thing that happens if throws aren’t accurate, introduce throwing over the top. Defensive lineouts - introduce compete or drive - you can compete to win the ball, but if you do and miss the opposition drive will be more effective. Look at some set plays from set piece - they can even be things you “buy” or unlock. Elite club cups rather than leagues with an extra level of difficulty.Version: 1.0.2
