✓ Needs updateThe storyline and gameplay is very entertaining and well made. But it doesn't get 5* due to every time I open a chest which pans when u open it, the game goes black, the music stops and I am brought back to my home screen. Which is really annoying. This also happens sometimes when I am unlocking a door, but not all the time. Another problem is I found this new version doesn't have sound everywhere u are walking so sometimes it is silent when I play it. If these things get corrected in the next update, I would be very happy and it would be a unmistakable 5*..Version: 1.3

✓ Its okI grew up with legend of zelda and hearing this was close to it I jumped at the chance. Its ok at best for me. Graphics are beautiful thats for sure. Controls are pretty bad. Maybe if there was a choice to tap on location, or have an actual keypad for moving but there isn't. And maybe an option to view a big map as well as the mini map? ✓ MehJust paid $13 for this and it keeps crashing. It’s not my phone either as it’s a brand new iPhone X. Not really happy ey. It’s fun, very much like Zelda, windwaker which was my absolute favourite. Just crashes so often. Had to write this review because it’s just crashed 4 times in a space of 10 minutes. Edit; still crashes. At least once ever half hour. Also the controls are terrible for later on in this game, making it near impossible. ✓ Good game... poor touch controls.Oceanhorn is fantastic in terms of the amount of content and hours of gameplay you get. It may be costly for an app, but you get a huge amount of game for your money. I enjoyed it, but it was compromised by one major flaw. The controls are terrible. Moving your character around shouldn’t be this difficult or error-prone. More than once, my dashing young hero perished because he veered off in an unintended direction, or because he kept trying to push a box when he was supposed to attack an enemy. I understand this game was developed primarily for consoles and computers, but the port to mobile unfortunately leaves players fumbling with vague and ambiguous controls. I found it impossible to defeat the final boss at the end of the game. As a side note, one of the platforms in Arcadia Ruins is beyond swimming range, denying access to the last treasure chest. For the most part I enjoyed the game, but it ended in frustration and disappointment. If you’re reading this review and want to play Oceanhorn, ignore this mobile game and buy the proper version, on console or PC..Version: 3.3
✓ Great game, but keeps freezingThe game is enjoyable, especially after playing Oceanhorn 2. The only problem is after about 15 mins of play. The game freezes. Music still playing in game but Incant move or interact with anything. I have to close the game and restart and it sends me back about 7 mins of play. I’ve tried to re download the game multiple times but something just needs to be fixed I think. Same thing happened with a different device as well. Would love to keep playing. ✓ Doesn't keep saved gamesI really like the game, but why is this the only iOS game that I've come across in which your saved file could be deleted without reason? This appears to be a common issue over the years that has NOT been resolved. I got to the last island and when I tried to pick up where I left off, 20+ hours worth of gameplay disappeared. ✓ Negative 10 starsDevelopers like this do not deserve to be allowed to develop games!!! The add in the worst fishing section of a game to ever exit. Then add 100% lick to catch that fish that electric zaps you’re fishing line To make it worse - it is an achievement And - to to omit off - absolutely no incentive to complete the game as all achievements are done and no achievement for finished the game - how lame!!! And the final boss - where was any sort of challenge? Catching the electric fish was harder than the final boss - makes the game even more lame developers like this deserve no money from anyone!!!! ✓ Ocean horn buggedIt started as a great game. Until you get to sky island. I had leveled to 13. Completed most islands to 100%. I collected the great shield and best the boss. When I tried to collect the last two treasure chests on island. I was trapped at the start of the level with no way out due to stone pillars being raised by the laser statue. Obvious bug that should have been corrected. I have tried contacting support on every social media and thru email. No responses. Don't buy and be frustrated like me..Version: 3.4
✓ Huge bug, can’t play, don’t buySo frustrated. Bought it due to the great marketing apparently because the game itself is a huge fail. Played about 7% before the slow motion gameplay bug hit and rendered it unplayable. Nothing fixes it. The only way to fix it is to delete and redownload, losing all your progress. ✓ Good but could have been greatI won't lie, this game has everything that makes a good game. Good graphics, good controls, nice story line and even cute music. However, it has a few major flaws that prevents it from being great: 1. The controls are rigidly set and the action and attack button are combined. Hence you often find yourself reading signs or picking up objects in the middle of a battle. 2. There is no decent map of the areas you explore, just a very limited minimap that is often useless. 3. You have no control or influence on how your character will develop when it levels up. Just kill as many monsters as possible and acquire more skills, up to a certain point when it is almost impossible to gain enough xp to level up..Version: 2.5

✓ EXTREMELY BUGGY. BUYER BEWARE!Very disappointed in this game. Looks are very deceiving. Despite how attractive this game looks it has a ton of bugs that make it nearly unplayable at times. First: Autosave does not work reliably. I played this on my Apple TV and it erased hours of gameplay after I had finished the first temple. No serious game should have that kind of major big. Second: it’s ridiculously easy to get locked into an area on the screen that you have no way to get out of. This happens a lot. You fall down a ledge or get blocked by a box that can’t be moved or blown up. So you’re stuck. Worst thing is it will save you in that stuck position so you lose your entire game; there’s no other option! Third: the game logic is all screwy so you can end up advancing to bosses you’re not prepared to fight because you don’t have the weapon you need to fight them. This kind of terrible user experience is totally preventable but it takes work and this developer did not want to put in the work. They just wanted to cash in and leave it super buggy for everyone. This is the kind of crappy user experience that causes people to abandon playing a game. Insanely aggravating. I regret buying this game and do NOT recommend it..Version: 3.4

✓ Good game up to a pointGood looking game, high production values on the art for this format. Gameplay is fun and simple in the first half of the game and keeps you engaged with the story. However, once you reach the angler boss about mid-way, the design choices were terrible. The camera is constantly spinning to look at the boss, fighting against where you want to go, the time to get onto the platforms or cast the flame puts you at too great a disadvantage, as does trying to search the pots for health/mana refills. I generally don't mind having to replay boss fights if I learn something to help next time around but this was just an exercise in learning how to bottle frustration - not to mention having to watch the same transition and uninterruptible cutscene several times. I'd like to finish the game but I don't think can sit through that boss start sequence one more time.Version: 2.5

✓ MehGame is decent for a iPhone game, but if it was on console or PC no one would give it the time of day. Tries too hard to be a Zelda Windwaker ripoff. There are quite a few bugs where your character can get stuck between a tree and a rock without you anticipating it. Boss battles aren't difficult because they are challenging as much as they are difficult to maneuver and manage, making them frustrating. The writing is mediocre at best, save the world from some evil demon and you're the chosen one blah blah. I enjoyed passing the time by beating the game once, but probably will never play again. Definitely worth the $8, and the graphics are pretty decent for a phone game. Controls are decent and concept is repeatable, just try to fix the monotony and this would be a 5-star game..Version: 3.2

✓ Can't get past screen rotation bugThis is a good game. It's an overt Zelda clone, but it comes pretty close to living up to the name so that's not a criticism. The problem is, the screen doesn't rotate on my iPhone 6+, and that means I can't play it without covering the speaker completely (as in, no sound). Or I can hold the phone in an awkward way that makes using the onscreen joystick go from not-great to terrible. Trust me, if you have an iPhone 6 you won't want to play this version. The game is just about running, getting necessary item then returning to get it done,, just a boring gameplay prolongation. And if you’re playing the game for the first time, before you’ll figure out that you’re missing some equipment to complete the tasks, you can spend quite a bit of time trying to find possible alternatives. ✓ Needs an updateSo far I really love the game! I saw the trailer for the second one at Apple’s keynote, and haven’t played the first one. It’s now incompatible with the Apple TV app though and I would really like to try and play it there as well. I’m hoping to finish the first before I subscribe to the Arcade subscription for the second one! The game itself is really beautiful and I’ve always wanted a good quality action RPG for mobile. That being said as you get to the final level/island there’s a room colloquially referred to as “THE QUITTING ROOM” that has an extremely tight time puzzle that I’ve tried about 30 times at this point and before I delete the game I decided to warn a potential future victim. The Cave island at the start of game is confusing since it is hard to know where you are or where you need to go. ✓ Great graphics, infuriating controlsThe controls are embarrassing considering the quality of the rest of the game. Simple visual helpers like target reticle when throwing or shooting objects. The longer you play the more frustrating they get. This game is available on the iPhone 8, but the screen is way too small for your fingers to be on top of the view, and during boss battles the camera pulls too far back to be able to see what you're doing..Version: 3.3
✓ Would give it 5 stars if it had a Joy stick.This game is great and all I love the graphics and the missions are good but there’s one thing I don’t like, and that’s the fact that it does not have a joy stick for the character to move properly. If I press on one side of the screen the character goes on that direction instead of the direction I want it to go.
