✓ Needs an update for newer iPhone models.Just got my iPhone XS MAX and thought I would give this classic a shot, unfortunately it is still does not support the new iphone sizes. Other than that it is an amazing game by all accounts..Version: 3.0
✓ Deaths & ExpansionI can't lie this game is awesome, however the deaths and how you star again and again does get annoying. I understand that's how the game works but it could still develop some check point after every boss fight that way you can go to the tavern and come back. Also the game could be a little larger more variants and different areas possibly more characters but generally bigger. This game has a lot of potential and if you can spare 99c it's well worth it!😀.Version: 2.0
✓ Its eh, ok i guessIts not very skilled based, you just need the next character to survive the longest. I got to the 3rd boss on my first attempt but it gets impossible after that with the first character and Beginning stuff. The monsters are every where, the game forces you to take damage which you cant afford unless you have the next character. Cough cough okay to win cough cough. Even then, its not fun. Just run side to side and jump over the monsters/avoid them in the air. Just kinda meh to me....Version: 2.0

✓ No Longer WorkingSlayin is an incredibly fun game however I am unable to recommend you purchase it in it's current condition as the latest update has caused it to stop working on my phone. I hope this issue is rectified as i have put a lot of time into game. Also I am unhappy as the app doesn't feature iPod even if you mute sound and music.Version: 3.0
✓ Fun but monotonous.The game's enjoyable but very repetitive without much of a reward system aside from unlocking new characters, which then just allows you to start another grind. Would really benefit from being able to grow skills or items which become available at the start of each game rather than having to grind your way up each time you play..Version: 2.0

✓ Needs ImprovementTo be honest, this game isn't overly perfected yet. One example is how the wizard is weaker than the knight... I really want a refund for my wizard because it isn't easy to earn money in this game and took me around 1-2 hours. But that just shows that I actually played this game that long. Addictive but needs more characters, improvement and cheaper prices..Version: 2.0
✓ Eh is okIt's fun in small doses, has micro transactions so that already sets the tone. The only way to unlock more characters is by using "fame" yeah you know you gotta grind to get that stuff. Or you guessed it, BY THE STUFF. When you are "slayin" only 1 way to regen health. By health when the guy appears, it's hard to not get hit when trying to get to the enemies that shoot you across the field, and that drains your health So much. It's ok but definetly needs a lot more polishing. I wouldn't call it a top 10 on any list and it won't become a classic. It's a fad that will die off fast. But until the time you get sick of it delete it from your device and scream at yourself for paying for micro transactions, you will be moderately amused by it..Version: 2.0
✓ Good, but two issues.....This game is really good when you get in the zone and figure out how to succeed. You'll find that maintaining you combo is more important that trying to survive. That's when it gets good! I have two complaints with this game, one small and one large: 1.) The theme that plays when you defeat a boss gets cut short sometimes. 2.) You cannot play this game without connecting to the internet. I've tried every method of trying to play without an internet connection but the app will never advance past the first loading screen. This does not need to be an online-only game, but it is one for some reason......Version: 3.0
✓ Limited gameplay and costly upgradesYou start the game with only the knight and the cost of additional characters is very expensive considering you only earn points by running left or right and jumping (the knight's 'special' move). The simplistic gameplay seems to work, but with the yolo mechanics you are faced with a repetitive grind before you can add variety to the game. Each run does come with 3 seemly random objectives which add a little interest. Got bored after the first few plays due to the limited progression and repetition. A few gameplay tweaks, perhaps character specific or generic upgrades in the tavern, the ability to swap characters in battle tag team style, a second special ability, special ability purchasing... Write a review pop up after already writing a review.Version: 2.0
✓ Ninja BugFirst problem I’ve ever encountered in this game: I run into a bug with the Ninja. I’ve played through twice to the point where I can buy the kunai and both times, her sprite disappears when I try to use the kunai and I end up with no weapon for the last boss of the story run. She just disappears and basically all I have left at my disposal are the three shadow ninjas I have and her dash with her knife. I remember the electric kunai working fine before (last I played was a couple years ago, just redownloaded a few days ago) so I’m not sure if this is a glitch that came with the new updates....Version: 3.0
✓ Has potential but ruined by IAPsDisappointing to pay for a game and then discover most of the advertised content is locked behind additional payments or endless grinding. It's fun for a little while but with the interesting characters and game modes locked away I found it a waste of cash..Version: 2.0
✓ Meh..People very much over hyped the game, if your reading this and are thinking of trying it, go ahead. But it’s really flat game play, you will hate grinding for the worth while guys and might get bored like me. ✓ Repetitive and only start with ONE hero...The play area is just the one screen - you merely turn your perpetually running character left or right and make them jump occasionally so as to hit or dodge the baddies that spawn up from the floor. That is it. Left right left right left right jump left right left jump right jump. Wow. Lots of fun for 79p. Also, you only start with ONE character - the others you can unlock after earning tens of thousands of coins which makes this tedium MASSIVELY grindy. This is NOT worth 79p..Version: 3.0
✓ Nowhere near worth 5 stars!I BET THIS HONEST REVIEW GETS BURIED! This game Is not THAT good! There were far too many monsters all at once to start with making it impossible to not get injured and therefore not live for long now with the addition of the undead it is much worse! I miss the talking to people, doing quests to gain experience and money and walking from place to place and....well....everything else that is usually in a role playing game! I feel like I'm permanently stuck in a dungeon! Only 1.5 stars from me! I thought I’d try it again, you know give it another chance. The fame points are still a complete waste of time! The game is still just as dreadful! It needs permanent upgrades and items that can be bought with fame points for less than it costs for things now which are still on you and can be used at the start of the next game! The characters need to have a difference between them other than just looking different because having at least four (for example) with the same base stats and all play the same is stupid! Why would any one get any other once the person has one of them just because it looks different?!?! However if it did something different.....Version: 3.0
✓ No Longer WorkingNormally I would really recommend this game. In its current state however it no longer works on my iPad mini or iPhone. It's usually amazing. It's not pay to win, as it's easy to grind for the unlockable characters. It's got really nice retro graphics, simple to learn but challenging gameplay, and a great soundtrack. ✓ Freezes after some bosses.I’m a little aggravated. I use to love this game, but suddenly after I defeat bosses, the game freezes. It use to only happen after the Harpy, but now it’s worse and has occurred both after the King Slime and Deathworm. This was annoying since all of the quests I completed are void after it freezes. I spent some time destroying 300 enemies with the mage’s flare and the game froze after the worm. Please fix this. I wrote a message to the game developers about the issue and I have received no response after a couple of weeks..Version: 3.0

✓ No longer workingMost recent update has stopped the game working on iPhone 6 running latest iOS 10 please fix. Great game, love the retro graphics. Extra characters on the game cost quite a bit of points but fun to grind for them. People saying it doesn't take skill and is only 3 buttons but then have not even got past second boss. Also I would say the first knight is one of the best characters I have up to archer and still get beat scores with the knight so not pay to win at all..Version: 3.0
✓ Good so far but a bit limitedI like how this game works and feels but I think it needs a bit more player interaction to become a classic. Only being able to jump and choose direction limits how much you can actually do, especially in such a small map. Each character would benefit from having a unique special move or or ability on another button day like stoping them from moving or throwing there sword or letting them float in the air. Otherwise it lacks strategy. It's worth picking up. (Also love that in app purchases are no intrusive).Version: 2.0
