✓ Best app I have ever purchaseBrilliant game! If you like Zelda then definitely purchase it. I have played for 46 hrs so far and not finished first run thru. Occasionally crashes but it starts up again almost where you left off. a little hard to control at times with one action button. A quarter of the price of a new Zelda DS game which is sitting in its package waiting to be played as I am enjoying this too much to stop. ✓ PuzzlesI love the game. I already beat Oceanhorn 2 so I wanted to play this. I love the puzzle theme but keep in mind I play on my phone. I’m at a part trying to get the emblem of sun and one of puzzles is timed for 15 seconds. And I can’t do it in 15 seconds because I’m on my phone and the mechanics are clunky in puzzles. Note for devs, smooth the jumping feature with the trench boots. I can’t do the puzzle because my jump will roll instead of jump..Version: 3.4
✓ Breathtaking Despite Tech FlawsThis platform-defining title proves the iPhone and iPad work as full-fledged mobile and portable consoles. The music, presentation, and locations showcase this quite nicely. I simply wish I could enjoy the full experience. I bought this game to work with my MFi gamepad, so I can lean back and play on my iPad mini as a portable console. Unfortunately, the text is so small on iPad in the menu and short signs, I constantly have to lean forward to see what is going on, ruining the experience for me. Also, MFi controller support is lacking. On my Steel Series Stratus, X / A attack and Y / B Use item (such as shield). This is not customizable, and means I have to move my thumb to switch between attack and item. Also, on the pause menu, the cursor snaps to selectable items. This is fine, but makes the center area hard to see. Also, I cannot scroll the log text with the controller. The control issues are manageable, but that combined with the tiny text caused me to delete the game unfinnished..Version: 3.3
✓ Great game!It’s a great game and keeps you busy where you don’t want to stop. I love games that can do that. However, there is a minor problem that needs to be looked at and fixed. I’ve had the game crash on me twice for no reason. One time when exiting a house, and the other after the end of the battle with that plant boss dude (forgot his name). It crashed there too. It did save my game which is awesome. But I’m worry it’ll happen again. The game wasn’t laggy and my iPhone XR wasn’t hot. I had no other apps open..Version: 3.3
✓ Great game with a few minor issuesGetting stuck seems to be a recurring problem. On Southwind Isle for example, if the player has no bombs and tries to swim between the front of his boat and the tall embankment, he will get wedged between the two leaving him unable to move and thus forcing a restart. Strangely there is a wooden fence along the embankment which the player can bomb to free himself, but doing so will damage the player and feels VERY unnatural. It wasn't the first time I found myself in this kind of limbo. Some of the bloodstone pieces are tucked away in hard to reach places. You try to get them, but there's always that fear in the back of your mind that you're gonna get stuck if you do it the wrong way. Overall it's a great game, just a little confusing at times to predict what the creators were thinking on certain puzzles..Version: 2.6
✓ Excellent jeu d’aventureJ’ai adoré ce jeu. Je suis un grand fan de Zelda sur Nintendo. Ce jeu a de petites similitudes avec une aventure du même genre. ✓ Finally!!!I have been waiting for just under two years now for this game to come out!!! I have played it for about 4 hours today, and I'm utterly hooked :) absolutely great game, my only complaint is that you can't control the boat, and you added in some barrel and monsters in the sea to try and occupy us :( Also, I think there should be a better mini map. The NPC's are really unhelpful then suddenly one off them knows what you have to do and gives you your quest. And it would be helpful if it was more clear where you are supposed to be going, it says 10 hours of gameplay, I've played for 4 and am only at 17% because I've spent so much time aimlessly wandering around. These are just a few improvements if like to see in future updates though :) This is still the best zelda like RPG game on the App Store by a long way :) and I'm super happy with the final result. Also, I seem to have encounters a bug, on the second island I go into the guy that's talking about the sun festival thing's house, and if I try to leave the game crashes, I had to start a new world and avoid that house. :/.Version: 1.2
✓ I Will miss this gameThis is the kind of games i love playing on my iphone! Just like swordigo! Perfect concept , the islands that spwnes reminded me of One Piece. Great and touching story and conversations , great graphics, great battle options ( mage, ranged, melee) . The only thing that did not really make me feel exited, was the fact that oceanhorn was a mid-sized robot. I was expecting some kind of giant-rock thing that would spwn from the sea, while the weather would be bad and the sky would be dark :p But I know it had to be an “invention” so it makes sense. please consider developingOH2. 5/5.Version: 3.3
✓ Definitely worth a lookFirstly, I don't normally write reviews. But I felt this game deserved it. It has a feel like Zelda on a smaller scale. I found the movement very simple even in complex puzzles. Playing on the iPhone, my finger would often slip off a joystick control at vital points, but I didn't have to worry about that. There is plenty to keep you going, especially if you like finding every hidden secret. The bosses were challenging, but not so much that you'd get frustrated. I'd rate this up there with the best games I have played on iOS. My 6 year old son is having a ball playing too. It's worth the money, in my opinion..Version: 2.5

✓ A quality game, with some frustrationsWith the exception of the horrible fishing minigame, which might be the most frustrating game mechanic ever designed by a human, this is a really excellent Zelda-style adventure game. It does have problems with the iCloud save - the iCloud save will often be about eight hours or more behind my local save - and some of the achievements can get tedious, but overall this is basically phantom hourglass, but modernized and with better sailing. Also, a feature request for the developers: have our achievements be in the Game Center! It’s weird having Game Center support but not having any achievements in the game sync with it..Version: 3.4

✓ Fun, immersive, frustrating, addictive......in short, a great game (and I’m not a gamer). As noted elsewhere, this is very much a Zelda type game. Great graphics, lots of side quests, great story and cut scenes, excellent sound, foley and music... My only complaint is that the final boss levels were impossible (for me anyway) using touch screen controls. I had to get a controller and even then took several tries to beat it. I grew up on Arcades, Atari, Nintendo, Sega, everything up through the PS4 and consoles today my kids enjoy, and it brought me back to when I actually enjoyed playing games and figuring out puzzles and bosses again. Have it on my iPhone, but bought a nimbus controller for my Apple TV 4K and played through with my 12 and 3 year olds on the living room tv, and they loved it! The whole family is anticipating part 2, and I couldn’t thank you more for making a game that we all enjoyed together, instead of the typical games these days that everyone runs to their rooms and play alone on their phones and tablets. ✓ Worth Every CentOceanhorn has proven that the iPad can take over from Nintendo, with iOS controller support and comfortable touchscreen controls. There is adventure around every corner of this world, and even travelling between worlds has you fighting against sea monsters and bombs. You are never doing nothing, you always are doing something. The voice acting and cut scene animations in my opinion are a tiny bit dull and jagged, but this could be polished and enhanced in later updates. Thankfully there isn't many cutscenes and there is more gameplay than stories. I hope that future updates can expand this world, for there is so much you can do on top of the storyline..Version: 1.2
✓ Fantastic game!!I m not a huge fan of RPG Zelda games. But I took a leap on this one. Boy is it good. The graphics are awesome. The controls work great. The music is fun and lively. I find the game a little confusing at times. I tend to have no idea what I need todo next. So I cheat and follow a Walkthrough. I wish the game had an option to give you hints or some way to tell us slower people where and what to do next. Even with the reading of the Walkthrough I am having a great time. I can't seem to put this game down. It plays great in small sessions or long sessions. Taking a poop, a long car ride, bored at home or at work, waiting for your dog to poop, waiting for your wife to finish shoe shopping, in the shower... Okay maybe not in the shower... Unless you have a waterproof case. In a boat, in a tree, in a tent, in bed, in a chair, at a wedding, at a funeral, and in space. so many places you could play this game. Should you buy it. ✓ FANTASTICI've been waiting for this game to come out for 2 years and I am glad to report it did not disappoint. I'm a huge zelda fan, being playing it since I was 2 years old, and this game is the closest experience to zelda that you're going to get. But that's not to say it's a "Zelda clone" because it's far from it. Though heavily inspired by Zelda and it's obvious that the developers, Cornfox & Bros and FDG Entertainment, are fans of the Wind walker and Phantom Hourglass instalments of the zelda series, it does a lot of things unique to the series. Such as magic, this adds a layer of much need depth to the combat, as it can save your life if your in trouble. That all said it isn't with out faults. On an iPad 2 the game does indeed lag and crash a little, expecially in the Cavern of fire, I havnt been able to pass that yet because the game just crashes immediately. ✓ Great GameGot this not long after it came out, and played about 12 hours of it, but got stuck so I gave up for a while. But now, a year later, I've picked this up again, started a new game, and have finally got the hang of it. Great value, has a long storyline and side missions too, and doesn't get boring, like some others do after a while. Something is always happening, whether killing sea monsters and breaking barrels while sailing, or exploring and opening up new paths. The controller support it good, having used it with the Logitech powershell controller, and is mapped to all controls you would expect. Only one suggestion, possibly a way to see a large map of the areas explored to help with collecting items and side missions? Another positive: No iAPs!.Version: 2.5

Few suggestions to address in sequel: - Allow player to rotate camera angle, sometimes the camera focuses on the wrong thing or gets stuck behind a wall/tree and you can't see what you are doing - The bow and arrow needs auto focus and it should show an indicator so that you can see where your arrows will shoot. This is especially important as it can get busy with multiple enemies and also sometimes the bullseye is off camera (as you can't zoom out) so you can't see where you are shooting. - there was this one annoying quest where an npc follows you, however they have an action icon above their head the whole time which is unnecessary, the annoying thing was in battle the box gets in the way and you keep activating their 'action dialogue' rather than hitting the enemy. Good game though, but not worth $15, good for $8.Version: 3.0

✓ 2 years well spentFollowed this games development since it was announced along with the various videos and was expecting great things and it doesn't disappoint. About 6 hours played so far and less than half way through. Really great storyline with amazing visuals. Just immerses you in it and I have ended up playing longer than I realised a couple of times. Didn't realise it would be 5.99 when it came out but as I had been waiting for it I just went ahead and it's definitely worth it for the amount of gameplay you get out of it. Very reminiscent of the zelda games with having to solve the puzzle. Definitely worth it and hope to see more great games follow on from this. Maybe an expansion?.Version: 1.3

My only issue was having to use touch screen controls which didn't always cooperate. I think I'm going to try the Nintendo Switch version just so I can play using a controller. ✓ Great game... AlmostPros: The is a good looking, addictive game with a lot of variety and a good storyline that doesn't intrude. It is also great fun to play. It's a good length too with challenges that you can go back and complete even after you've finished the main objective. Cons: The controls are relative to the camera angle which is OK (and logical) when exploring but adds unnecessary difficulty when the camera is swinging around all over the place in boss battles. ("Run around on the spot then dash off in the wrong direction" is rarely a tactic I'd use by choice). Some of the fish types are almost impossible to catch. Luck seems to be more of a factor than skill (Though large amounts of both are needed to catch either a botfish or a ghostfish). Whilst not essential to complete the game it is frustrating nonetheless..Version: 2.9

✓ Definitely worth the money!Fans tasting game that really does play similar to Zelda. Great music and voice overs, accurate controls, and nice graphic/art style. I would highly recommend this game. ✓ I got lost too many times, but I still loved the experienceAs soon as I got in the boat and started exploring, I was hooked. The story was great. It’s not the most in-depth story I’ve ever seen in a video game, but the gameplay more than made up for it. It took some patience to fully enjoy it because the controller support is kind of iffy (especially when shooting obstacles in the sea), but I loved the boss fights. Music is also a strong point. The ocean theme ended up getting stuck in my head during the day when I wasn’t playing, but I didn’t mind this because the music was so good. Buyers should be aware of early crashes. This game crashed several times while I was getting started, but it no longer does this and I don’t know why. Just keep trying if it does this. The only points of criticism I have are the controller support and quest logging. I think it should be easy to go to a quest journal or list to get a sense of what I’m supposed to do next. I got stuck at one point and had to scroll way down to read what the hermit wanted for his project. I have a few other gripes, but they can be attributed to hardware limitations at the time of release. Fantastic game, and I hope to be wowed when I play Oceanhorn 2..Version: 3.4

Also, it would be nice if there was a flag on your map telling you where to go. Like the flag in Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm. ✓ Close, but misses Nintendo's touch.One of the better games on IOS. It's a mix of FF & LOZ, but relies more heavily on the latter. Ocean horn, tries so hard & clearly a lot of effort as been put in, but sadly it falls short of the famous LOZ series. That said its a great effort, but could have probably benefitted more from being more original. It also suffers from chronic slowdown, don't know whether it's the systems limitations or bugs that need ironing out, via an update perhaps.. It moves slowly to start with but the quests, artefacts and maps expand nicely as things progress. You can easily sink 5 hours into the game before you really decide if you want to go all the way through. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I think it needs a "quest log" to keep track of all the specific tasks being undertaken. I particularly enjoyed how you unlock new islands by talking to people. The soundtrack is excellent and the graphics are extremely good for an iOS game also. So much fun challenging puzzles and very interesting story line i play for hours until my phone is on 2% then I'm waiting very impatiently for my phone to charge so I can keep playing love love love one suggestion though maybe add a save button i prefer to save game manually but all in all LOVE THIS APP ❤️💙💚💛💜.Version: 1.5
✓ Nice graphics, interesting gameFinally got it working! I really like the graphics, it’s taken me a while to work out how to throw things, but I’m not a regular gamer, so trying my best to master it. Will persevere. ✓ Great game, awful controlsThe game is amazing, I am really enjoying it but, the controls are just horrible. I can’t make the character move the way I want for more than 5 seconds, it either stops moving or moves opposite direction. Also it uses items with out me pressing any buttons... If that gets fixed, it’s definitely a 5 stars game.Version: 3.4
✓ Matches Ocarina of TimeThis is giving me as much joy as playing they young Link segment of Ocarina of Time. The developers are obviously highly influenced by the LOZ series and to be fair this is a big juicy homage to all things Zelda. Thanks peeps..Version: 3.3

✓ Mostly goodWay too many places to get stuck. By which I don’t mean plot wise but literally cannot move out of an area without closing and reopening the app so it takes you back a bit. Am now in a spot where even that can’t help me :/.Version: 3.3
✓ In love!I am loving this game! Brilliant graphics and easy to play. Follow the main quest or complete the side ones as well. It's wonderful to have a game with so much time on offer.
