✓ Very addictive and challenging gameThis game is very well put together. There are lots of levels and it gets really challenging higher you go in levels. I’m not usually a word game fan but I’ve really enjoyed this game. The only complaint I have to this game is that even if there are multiple solutions to a puzzle, if you don’t do the one that is preset into the game it will count it as incorrect and you’ll have to redo it, which is not impossible just tedious..Version: 4.1.4

✓ Fun. Unique. A couple UX issuesThis game is a unique take on a crossword puzzle. It's not as easy as you might think and they were definitely well thought out. Overall it was a lot of fun. The game does have a couple UX issues. For instance you have to open the menu to restart. A few times in the beginning I accidentally got hints when I was trying restart because I'm used to other games restart in that position. There's plenty of real estate up there, could've had both. My biggest complaint was that the game wouldn't remember my settings so I had to navigate several screens in and out to turn off the music. I like the in-game sounds but the music want my thing. Unfortunately, everytime the game started I had to turn it off. Those were my only two issues. Even the ads are well done. ✓ Serious recurring issueSo for the most part the app is great. seems to be getting slower and slower, or maybe that's just my iPad showing its age. but the app does have one serious, recurring issue: every month, it needs an update to allow users to play the new month's daily puzzles. WHY??? why is it this cannot have a permanent fix? if the daily puzzles had a major change in format or function i could understand needing the occasional update, but i've had this happen multiple times. and until the app is updated to support the new month's puzzles, trying to access the daily puzzles causes the app to lock up. this is frustrating, to say the least. otherwise the app is quite stable, and receives content update fairly regularly. i've been playing it for years and enjoy it. i hope the May update is forthcoming and will fix this unhappy issue once and for all (though i decline to hold my breath in anticipation)..Version: 6.5

✓ Unique and cleverI had just picked up Antitype by the same developer and loved it enough to see what else they had. This is another very clever and unique word puzzle. Its a mashup of crossword, scrabble, and word unscramble. It’s challenging but relaxing. The music is beautiful and meditative...it’s like meditating and exercising your brain at the same time 😀! The game play is simple to learn and the puzzles are thoughtful and challenging. Such a nice change from all the word search and unscramble puzzles out there! The “erasure” feature is horrible. Why do I have to start all over again when I’ve made an error? And the ads. Why don't game developers realize that if it’s a word game, I’m not remotely interesting in “serving ice cream cones”. Ridiculous. ✓ Hangs on completeOverall, a really good game that's been well designed. Just a few gripes (but none that heavily impacted gameplay): some of the words were repetitive. Also, there were some annoyances when the same letter pairs would work, but one in specific was thought of by the developer. If it won't impact the puzzle either way, just let it go (like the level where PEPPER is already spelled...but you still have to swap the two Ps to get it to register as completed). Finally, when you go all the way through to the end of Omega, it just zooms out to the fully complete puzzle (like normal) but doesn't give you any controls to go anywhere after that. You're stuck on that screen. You should be able to get back to the main menu...but instead you can just bask in the glory of finishing the puzzles, I suppose....Version: 2.4

I was definitely looking for a challenge, but not one that was so insular for American sports fans. The game is very linear - if you can't pass a level, you can't move on. My only concern is that it hasn’t been updated in three years, and there’s a very frustrating bug on the iOS version where if you change the screen orientation, the screen gets all messed up and you have to close and reopen the app to fix it. So you have to be careful not to turn your phone to the side. I’m still on “World of Sports” and I have never watched most of the categories of sports that are in that section and I now realize I know NOTHING about most of them. ✓ Addicting!Great game! I’m addicted! I tested out the free version to see if I’d like it. I LOVED it and am looking forward to new packs. The sizing is a little buggy on my iPhone XR. When I move on to the next game sometimes the sizing is HUGE and it “fights back” when I try to resize. Sometimes it takes three or four attempts to size it where I want it. A small annoyance for a game I’m addicted to. Caught a few misspellings! Again, no biggie, can’t even remember what they were. Only thing I would say is sometimes the letters stick so when you think you've swapped them, you haven't, so when you click on another letter you end up making a mistake! ✓ A very good game but...I rarely write reviews but this game deserved one. It is well made, set out and has little bugs. However there are two things that need changing. The first is that when you make a mistake, sometimes if you press undo or restart the game freezes. This is incredibly annoying in the higher levels. ✓ Very fun, challenging game!I also have to say - ignore the naysayers! It’s unique and very satisfying to play. After I played for a few levels, I happily paid a couple bucks to get rid of the ads and that was completely worth it for the gameplay, having more hints, and supporting a puzzle game that’s not another run-of-the-mill crossword. The levels range from easy to very challenging, and I like that the harder levels aren’t dumbed down. Even if you know what a word is, the puzzle can be tricky if you aren’t sure where the correct letter should come from, presenting a unique little twist on the usual crossword format. The only downside is that it takes sometimes months for new levels to come out, and when they do it’s only a couple at a time and the game is so addicting that the new levels are completed in a day or two. I would love to see more levels coming, or even a daily puzzle. Simply put, I want to play more! :) Of course that’s not worth taking a star off the rating of such a great game..Version: 4.6
