✓ Okay, but not greatThis game is fun. It’s a creative idea, and has some interesting puzzles. It’s not worth the $30 they expect me to pay for all the content though. Plus, the controls are different from similar games. You don’t drag to swap letters; you have to tap each letter. And there are WAY too many ads. Like an ad after each level too many. I’m cool with ads in free games, but this is nuts. Overall, I may finish my 96 free puzzles, then uninstall it. Or I may go ahead and get rid of it because I’m sick of the ads..Version: 4.3.2

✓ Good though sale was deceptiveI like the puzzle but the sale was deceptive. I've never come across a puzzle where you have to guess the answer to unravel the key and the sell didn't indicate this. I probably wouldn't have downloaded it if I'd know but I'm glad I did. It certainly gets the brain ticking. I've given this a three because of the numerous purchases required. ✓ Not too bad, but...So I ended up with a free card. I kinda like this game so I bought into it. They don’t have a great command of the English language when the word “TINKLING” is in the Holiday Challenge. You do know what that word means, don’t you? Some of the words just don’t make any sense in a level such as this. I still find the max zoom at the end of every level annoying. You can’t see what the mystery word was that you couldn’t figure out. And don’t expect any feedback to be answered. Knocked it back to 3 stars..Version: 5.0
✓ This App Costs $25 More Than Is Reasonable!!!I would’ve considered buying the app for what any other game - either on mobile or on other devices, or even in person - costs. But I am so turned off by the fact that they want this ASTRONOMICAL amount of money for it. What the heck is this?!? I’ve never even seen any game, especially a word game, have the audacity to charge that amount. Give me maybe a $20 App Store gift card along with it & I’d consider. ✓ US-centricTricky and frustrating. Enjoyable concept though. I’ve completed the free levels, but will not pay for additional levels as they are very US focussed. ✓ ConfusedIt's a great game, however with the free version you can have hints for free by watching a video, but if you pay$$ for a pack you don't get these free hints, you have to pay again. I bought a Potpourri and the first 4 so far have been amphibians, doesn't feel like a pot pourri to me. And then the amount of American basket ball. ✓ Updates are too slow coming. UPDATEDI’m a word puzzle Addict. I bought the whole game. Love it. However they’ve been promising the new levels for months now. This is a pretty pricey app for a game. I would expect much faster releases for this kind of money. UPDATE APRIL 27: April is practically over and still no promised update. I’m asking Apple for my money back. ✓ Ads and money galoreThis would be such a good game if it weren’t for the constant ads. I can understand free games do need ads and I am fine with this, but not ads after every level and any time you click something. The prices are extremely high to unlock extra levels. I feel that the game could have done with letting players unlock new levels through constant play and ways to “earn” hints such as a daily bonus or unlocking achievements, etc. As the only free way to get hints is through a 30 second ad for three hints, which don’t get you very far as the levels get harder. Also, please review the game being very American spelling/phrase centric. Even neutral terms would be better. The developers need to listen to reviewers on these points otherwise they will lose their players. I really do like this game but the negatives are making me want to just delete the app before I even finish the free levels. If the developers changed the game to be more user friendly I’d definitely keep it..Version: 5.0.2
✓ In-App purchasesWay to many In-App purchases you have to do just to play extra levels. You already have ads all over the place and now you charge $2.00 for more levels. What a joke. It’s a fun game and I love to play Alpha Omega. But I’m disgusted at the fact that I have to pay money to continue playing other levels, when there are already ads in between each level and if you are stuck, to watch more ads to receive helpful hints. Needless to say, I will not be playing this game anymore until at least some extra puzzle packs become free..Version: 4.1.6

✓ Remove locks on switched lettersThis is a really fun game with plenty to do, even just in the free segments. It just seems unnecessary that there’s only one “undo” per level. Just makes it so you have to redo the whole puzzle if you make a mistake. I can’t figure out the purpose of not allowing us to switch letters around as much as we want without having to restart the level, other than to make us watch another ad each time we have to go back to the menu. I understand that it’d be tricky with the letters on the crosses, but surely there’s an elegant way around that..Version: 4.1.2
✓ Great game but could use some tweaks.This game is delightfully challenging and in terms of fun, if you’re a word game lover, this is a 5 star game. But, I’m leaving 3 stars because of one fairly frustrating flaw: when you reach the higher levels the rows and columns become too long and you can’t zoom out far enough to see the line from beginning to end. For a game modeled around the premise that your brain can unscramble a word/phrase given the first and last letters are in place, you should be able to zoom out far enough to see the entirety of the line. For example, the Famous Landmarks level in the All American pack is pretty much impossible without the use of hints. One of the answers is ‘Wright Brothers Memorial’ but you can only zoom out far enough to see ‘Wright Brot’ (11 squares) at once. So, developers, if you see this and can fix it, you’ll have yourself a five star game!.Version: 4.1.5
✓ That walkthrough was painfulEdit, the devs responded, so... Hey devs, I know y’all work hard, but maybe watch a few people use the app for the first time. I think you’ll see how it is unintuitive. I’m editing this in response but leaving the rating because that’s my rating of the game. As far as the walkthrough, it would be better to just let people dive in, and then the first time they use up all their moves, then have a little pop up to let users know that they can click restart — that’s the only part of the walkthrough that users wouldn’t figure out on their own..Version: 4.1.5

✓ Really liked it, til the adsI read about this app in a list of ad free games. I am so fed up with long ads across multiple screens when trying to play games, so this seemed like a dream. I made it through over 20 levels til I saw an ad—and if I could play that long before being served another, that’d be ok. But then there were ads every other level. I’m so sad. ✓ No updatesEDITED: I have sent several messages to the developers regarding updates. The first reply said there were more levels coming, but now I am just being ignored. Don't waste your money. I have been waiting almost 2 years and nothing to show for the money I spent for unlimited play. I have written this before, but now I just feel scammed out of the money I paid for "lifetime" puzzles. Ever since I paid to have access to all of the puzzles, there has not been a SINGLE update adding new ones to the app. I would like a refund back since giving you my money has been a complete waste. If I could give no stars, I would. Every time I contact you regarding updates, I am told they are coming. ✓ Fun game, poor monetizationThe game itself is pretty clever and fun. The UI/UX are solid. But the monetization structure was enough to get me to uninstall. The ads are way too frequent and intrusive unless you pay $2 to remove them but even then, there are only 96 puzzles and then you pay another $2 to unlock another 96. Or pay $20 for everything which IMO is way too much for for a simple word game to play for a few minutes on the crapper. If it were $5 _maybe_ $10 for everything I'd consider it but $20? ✓ A good concept marred by incompetent executionThe game is riddled with bugs. The most annoying is that it regularly becomes unresponsive so you can't select letters and have to restart. In addition, it does not track state: if you put the game down for a few hours and come back to it, the level is reset. The default color scheme is also nearly unreadable - extremely difficult to see the difference between locked and movable letters. At minimum, needs a night mode that doesn't require an extra purchase. Were it not for these bugs and shortcomings, I'd buy a bunch of the packs. ✓ Great base with potential for wonderSo crossword puzzles are not novel, new ones come out monthly it seems or even weekly. How does this one differ? Well it grants initial ‘hints’ by allowing knowledge of the first/last letters- hence the game title. And that part is good and works well. However then you have a closer look at this ‘free’ (uhhuh yea right we all know that’s not true) game and everything else deeper under the first set of levels is an in-app-purchase. And if you’re content with the base package, then you have to deal with the annoying controls and interface. It does a poor job at best of highlighting which letter you have selected, level restart clears all progress even if you have straightened out many words and I’m sure the puzzles get broader, and ‘incompletion of puzzle’ shows up AFTER you’ve spent the time swapping letters randomly in futile attempts. If the files and rows were fluid and could slide to swap letters and the letters were confined to certain files/rows (or the intersections instead were the known letters) they’d have a much better user friendly game..Version: 4.1.5

✓ Fun game, but....I’m giving this game 2 stars because it is a fun and relaxing word game. I made the one time purchase to unlock all levels and stop the ads, but now that I am at different levels, the puzzles are too large for my iPad screen and I don’t seem to be able to reduce the size! It has become too annoying because I can’t see all the letters in most of the words. Also, i can’t find any way of contacting the developer directly to see if there’s a solution.
