✓ Battles need to be fixedI don’t understand why your own creatures lose more health than the enemy. I have a level 10 Fire Pony and I’ve been stuck on battle 10 (which is the level 3 rock rhino or whatever it’s called, I forget), because THE RHINO ALWAYS LOSES LESS HEALTH THAN ME. This needs to be fixed, a level 3 should not be able to defeat a level 10..Version: 1.9.0
✓ Expansions difficult due to mining problemIt’s a fun game but the only way to expand is to dig up runes in the mine. However, every time you have a positive hit the app shuts down and you lose the bomb while gaining no rune. Please fix this problem..Version: 1.9.2
✓ BUG MINING ERRORPlease fix the bug in mining. As quite of few people have mentioned, when you hit the exact place in the mines, the game force closes on you. It is extremely difficult to expand due to this or buy anything nice from the shop because you end up wasting gems on expansion, which gradually gets too steep in cost. I’ve been playing for a short while but will probably end up uninstalling it because it can’t progress without this issue being fixed, which is really unfortunate because the game has lots of colourful and cute animals to collect and breed and place in lovely accompanying habitats. I’m writing this review in the hope that you will correct this problem, not only for players who have already commented on reviews and submitted the issue directly to you, but for your game to have any future moving forward..Version: 1.9.2
✓ Frustrating and disappointing!!So first of all I'd like to say I really like the game it's self. Unfortunately the makers are so money hungry if you wanna get anywhere in this game you have to spend a TON of money!! Like all the time!!! And if that's not enough to frustrate you it is literally constantly crashing... And more often than not it's right after you've just ether finished something or collected something that you needed and after reloading the game what ever you have just finished doing/collecting is just gone... Aaa do so is ether the gems or bombs it cost you to get there. I've already spent way to much money on this game and sadly I think I'm gonna have to stop playing it. I think the most frustrating part is that I'm reading review after review saying very similar things and it seems they fall on deaf ears. Why ask for reviews if you really don't care to improve your game and the game play experience for your costumers. Just stop being so stinking greedy and Nicole and dimming your costumers to death! ✓ Within the last month absolutely horrible!!!I love this game but suddenly I can’t do anything unless I have a crap ton of gems. I’ve been stuck on the same monster level 24-48 for three days and I’ve been using my good monsters. It’s absurd!!! I use to be able to do things gel free and now if I get to a certain point I can’t progress until I have spent gems. I’ve used so much gems and I’m still not gonna be able to complete this months story book adventure. The leaderboard? A huge joke! Again you can only win if you pay for gems. Yes they have a thing where you can get free gems but!!! I’ve done quizzes which for some reason always needs your info and Im still trying to get rid of scam emails from it. I can’t play games to earn gems because I’m not a new enough user so I spent a lot of time meeting those requirements and got nothing. This is a pay to win game. ✓ Amazing game but mine problemI love the game and all the unique breeds and how gorgeous they are. The only problem I have is that every time I am mining and get very close to the rune stone than my game glitches when I find the rune stone and I don’t receive the rune stone and you have wasted one of your explosives and also this means you can’t expand so you can’t continue playing the game. I have seen many people comment on this so it is a glitch on the app and not our devices. ✓ Ripoff!This game starts well, then goes straight away downhill. Who ever loves this stupid game, you are very dumb! Every "story" game requires wifi to play. The breeding is very long and limited time animals are impossible to get by breeding. The easier way to get them is to pay in the shop with a lot of gems. It says that feeding your animals makes them stronger but the battles are unfair, a level 2 Panda can easily stand a level 10 Pyro Pony. If you get a random lucky critical hit, you will win the battle, if don't, you lose. It says fire goes good with nature, but still won't work. Eggs take way too to long to hatch. Getting another tree of life for 50 gold is the only way to hold 2 eggs. Finally, people have problems, but TeamLava no longer care about your problems and are only it for adding new stuff in the game. They won't write back or help any problems you're having. ✓ Makers of game are becoming to greedyI have been playing this game for a few years & really have enjoyed it. It used to be where you could play without needing to spend money unless you wanted to buy extras. It has become where if you want to proceed at all you'll need to spend money. I've easily spent a couple hundred dollars playing when it was fun. I refuse to spend money to be frustrated, which is exactly what this game has become. You can't complete missions without using gems. You can't breed common animals to complete the goals. As someone else said I'll probably continue to play because I've invested alot of time & money but I won't spend another penny to progress in the game. ✓ Extremely restricted gameplay, pushy adsYou get about 3 minutes of gameplay at a time before your progress gets blocked by having to wait for energy to refill or for a breeding, etc. to finish- very quickly ramping up to hours/days (I’m only level 10). The gameplay itself, for the tiny window you can actually do anything, is also very limited and repetitive (different critter skins doesn’t help much). This is also the pushiest IOS game I’ve ever played- CONSTANT pop ups and “quests” to download and play OTHER, often non-animal games. ✓ What’s going on😤I usually love this game, but since people asked for a bit more time between the back to back events so that they could replenish their food supplies, the game doesn’t do anything anymore. It would be nice if the developers would get back on track and think of the players and not just of how much money they can make by pushing players into spending money to try to complete the events. ✓ Slow down a bitI’m finding this game to start to be upsetting. We do have optional adds to watch for a “present” of sorts, but now we have a forced add that pops up at random. No present either.. it’s rather annoying. Also the story book/ other special animal winning events have been difficult to beat. I have good animals and always use ultra rare and pay attention to what is best against my opponent and somehow the rare game animal beats my ultra rare correctly paired animal. So I wait the hour and use another animal of same quality and bam I win. Or I reuse the same animal a few times and then I will win. Strange.. it would also be nice to have a break between competitions as you run them back to back and unless your a heavy spender you really don’t get anywhere good. Also one animal comp that runs with the collection combo wheel spin should be the same length. Having them end a day apart is confusing and giving players that extra day to acquire the animal rewarded would be nice considering how often I or others will get stuck on certain levels. At least a day or two between the running of the comps and maybe give players the option to buy out of a level but only allowing for 2-3 levels to be skipped per comp. seeing how we all have a lot of coins that would be something to help use them up. ✓ Game is ok except for mining.Game is ok but when you are mining for ruins, don't expect to be successful. Many times I have tried to mine for these you get “very close” to the ruins but once you actually find one the game kicks you out and doesn’t give you the reward. Waste of time and could also be expensive if you make in game purchases. Also it become boring very quickly as you can only have a certain amount of habits per level. ✓ ThievesYep that was a harsh title but well deserved unfortunately. There are cool aspects about the game cute creatures nice graphics. Unfortunately they have horrific customer service and refuse to fix problems in the game. The game has a major issue with time lapses, I.e. you do something then the game bounces back and what you did was undone. It is an issue with many, if not all of their games. Since it is a known issue you would think customer service would fix the issue if something major is taken, esp something you paid for, but no they don’t. I have spent a good bit of money on gems since downloading this game, often using them to complete events (pretty much the only way to complete their events, fyi) so I did so again with their last “storybook” event, I completed it said I was awarded the prize. However the next day I went in and the prize was not there, it had done a time lapse and I didn’t realize it. I contacted customer service expecting them to make it right and their response was essentially tough luck. Or in other words ha ha we got your money sucker. Well since I won’t be spending any more money they will lose far more than they stole. ✓ Absolutely pointlessLet me save you some time, so you can waste it on something more fun... this is how it's gonna go: The game starts reaaaally slowly, but you slog away trying to make progress and breed some good creatures to battle with. Every time you start the game you are pestered with ads for other games and you will be annoyed by closing all the windows... again, again, again. It seems after a while like you are starting to get somewhere and you feel a bit of satisfaction, until you come to realise that there is 0 strategy to battles. The only thing that counts is the random luck of a critical hit. If you get one, you will win the battle sequence, if you don't, you lose. Strong attacks from choosing the optimal elemental match up don't change the outcome at all. Then there are these 10 day events for special rewards. The purpose of these is clearly to get you invested in spending (and I guess buying) gems. If you have stockpiled all resources, sacrifice your general progress and use gems to try to speed up impractical requirements, you can seem to keep on track to finish. But the game basically speed locks you so you can't get ahead in this process, and then the gem price for skips increases as you go. Then finally, the very last task is extremely hard to get done. So either you spend big gems on the last task... or miss out 😡.Version: 1.7.3

✓ Disparity is large3 star game 5 star in graphics I really like this game but it has two problems. 1. Too many ads for no rewards, they pop up while you’re doing things and waiting for them to finish is tedious and annoying, especially when I don’t get awarded some thing like gems or coins. ✓ Ugh...I really do not like this game. It freezes all the time, mostly right after the loading screen. Gems are way too hard to come across, and you need them to buy almost every animal you're not willing to breed. These "Limited Time Events" seem like they're just rubbing it in our faces that we don't have whatever animal is on "Sale". And the battle system? Infuriating. You only win by sheer luck when your animal lands a critical hit. Type advantages and disadvantages and power levels don't apply in this system, you just have to win by chance! Even if you have the stronger element attack, you can get your level fifteen killed by a level one animal who's not even strong against your animal. I'm sick of this "Buy Everything With Gems So You Have To Spend Money On Everything", "Oh If You Are Losing, You Have To Spend Twelve Gems On One Attack", "Type Advantages Don't Matter, You Can Still Get Beat By A Level One Animal" h*cking bull-h*ck. I have over 20 animals in storage... waiting for places to put them....Several ppl in my family play this game.... we do the leaderboard and the youngest family member....who doesn't play often.... she ends that event with 367 points and wins 1st place...on her device wins the new animal.... other ppl have over 4500 and they come in 9th place.... and then also... her animals aren't even lvl 15 and she breeds two animals together and get rare and super rare... I don't even have yet... been playing a lot longer than her... I know it's all a roll of the dice.... a chance... but if you breed the same two animal over a thousand time... I have spent money in gems to complete them and I just am not getting them anywhere. ✓ Eh...The game is fun for a bit but everything costs gems and I can’t use real money to buy more. If your not allowed to spend real money on gems, then you have to rely on your neighbors to gift you gems and, by the way, they are all AI and don’t do a thing for you. Furthermore, it takes waaaaaay too long to do everything. It takes 33 hours just to clear some debris! Not to mention all the adds you have to watch to do anything. Fighting in the arena? Watch an add. Collecting coins? Watch an add. It gets old. The game is also very laggy. When I first get on it immediately goes to a loading screen and it takes half an hour just to get it going. The game cheats as well! When fighting in the arena or the colosseum the AI always wins unless you use gems for the ultimate attack which again, cost money. Another thing is the timing in the Forest parties. I play the game every day and I never get past the second point. And trust me. I don’t have 3,562 gems to spend on the Lavender monument. The last two animals are just there to torture you into spending money. To sum it up, the game seems like a big scam to get the game creators rich. My advice? I have a big land with over 200 animals so when i come to find one its hard. Please add in an easy way to find them. Also in the album, it is hard to find whether you have an animal. I dont have much space so i dont want two of a kind. Please make it easier for me to tell. Also please make expansion cheaper. There is no point having decorations as you need all the space for habitats. The tasks do not give enough time unless you spend gems or are online constantly. Please give a bit more time. ✓ Losing its charm for the sake of moneySo, when I first started playing this three years ago, I was hooked and loved the game very much. The graphics were great, and everything was fresh and brimming with imagination. The animals were very cool, and were fun to obtain and raise. The arena was fun and the challenges were enjoyable. Now, however, the monthly challenges have gotten to the point where you cannot win at all, unless you pay gems, which can ONLY be obtained by real currency. I’d also argue the exchange rate is not proportional. It feels like no matter how hard you play, you’ll lose, especially in the tournaments and coliseum, unless you’re willing to fork out the dough, in which case, you might as well by everything and not play at all. Also, everything feels like they’ve lost their charm, and Storm 8 is more interested in making money than making the game interesting, playable and fun. The animals are only eye candy, and they’re ability to win in the arenas...... we’ll, let’s say a level 1 pyropony doing just as as well as a level 15 Grand Unicorn just seems crazy. I’m a dedicated player, but I’m just going through the motions. I wouldn’t advise people not to get this game, but I wouldn’t direct their attention to it without listing a long, sad litany of negatives to watch out for. C’mon, Storm 8, you can do better! ✓ This game has potential.I got this game few years ago and I loved it. Then I just re installed it recently. The game can only be enjoyed for a few minutes every few days because of the really long wait times for breeding, egg hatching, and evolving to finish. The animals are cute but there shouldn’t be animals that can only be bought through real money. What’s been bugging me the most recently is the AWFUL technology. The game won’t even let enter the mine without closing the tab! And then when I renter the mine when I enter the game again it has used one of my explosives! This has happened other times too. The tab has closed itself and when I reopen the game it has decreased my food and my animal hadn’t been fed! The game takes lots of patience due to the awful technology and the unreasonable wait times. I think the game could be MUCH better if they added a few more things to do other then completing long tasks that take time and the battlegrounds. Maybe my shorter, more easily completed tasks as well would make the game more fun. Also making ALL of the animals available through tasks would be much better. ✓ Ok...Fantasy Forest is one of my favourite games because: It’s easy, fun, exciting to see what new animal you get, and there are lots of competitions and things when u get to a certain level. ✓ Please UpdateThe most annoying thing about this game is that I can’t find any other game like it. There is a lot of dragon games out there but this game in particular has such a wide variety of animals you can get and they’re all so cute and pretty and it’s amazing. And then the creators seemed to have abandoned it. It hasn’t updated in years and it definitely needs an update with lots of things to complain about. The battle system is whack, you need a critical hit to win any battle. Breeding takes hours at a time, even a common animal can take up to 5 hours. There’s not any peaceful events to play instead of battling. And the events we do have are basically just getting points from playing the game. Most importantly, I have never payed for anything in this game and my forest is doing alright but the progress I make is heavily slow. ✓ Waiting GameI began playing this game years ago. Back then, it was a fun little game where you bred animals, hatched them, and watched them grow. On the side, there was a nice little battling game you could play to earn a few items such as coins or food. However, I deleted it after a while because it just became boring. I had to wait hours upon hours and days upon days to grow enough food to meet the ridiculously high food count required to level some creatures up. Not only that, but the battle mechanic in the game is beyond frustrating. Logic tells you that if you have a higher level animal with the counter element on your opponent, then you should win, right? Nope. I had to rely on random chance in critical hits or using my gems to win half the time because the battles are all set to go a certain way. However, that was years ago. I come back to the game in 2018 and to my surprise, almost nothing has been improved. The same problems I faced before are still very present and very bothersome, if not more so now. Don’t get me wrong, I like this game. Its a fun little thing to do when you’re bored, but only occasionally. I can’t really spend more than five minutes on the app at a time without being reduced to just staring at a count down timer over one of the many things I need to have completed to interact with the game. ✓ Pay to playAll Storm8 games are geared to sap as much money from you as they can. But FFS is guilty on a scale unlike many other games. If they're not pressuring you to buy gems for literally every single task, they're burdening you with two, three, even four simultaneous **limited time** events. And since you can only have one breeding garden, and each specialty animal takes anywhere from 1-50 attempts, you pretty much either pay or do without. This game is completely shameless when it comes to trying to rip you off. They rub your face in all the things you could have, if you'd just spend several hundred dollars on the game. It's fun to play but the fact is you're always going to be stuck with the basic critters and habitats unless you put real money into it. Even then there's no guarantee. Storm8 is without a doubt one of the most brazenly "pay to play" companies out there right now but FFS takes it to a whole new level. And this as someone who plays three other of their games, none of which put the pressure on to spend real cash like FFS. The worst part? They're never going to change. First the varied events disappeared and we set into a routine of storybook, world and leaderboard events. Then the storybook events disappeared. Then the world event became a month long event. ✓ It’s good, but the battle system? Eh…It’s come to my recognition that the battleground system is very unbalanced. How a level 9 pandaffodil lost to my level 13 Frostfang is beyond me. When faced against my level 10 Jackolope, even with fire moves (of which are supposed to be ‘strong’ against it) couldn’t win. If it’s a matter of limited levelling then increase the maximum and either: 1: Require less food to level up 2: have such small amounts of food take less to grow (a good example of a better food growing system can be seen in dragon city. ✓ Money issueI have to admit, I'm addicted and I love the idea of creating my own world of fantasy animals. This review most likely won't make a difference, but this game is only fun if you put in the money to keep it going. I've shamefully spent but even that doesn't seem to satisfy. I'll go to other kingdoms of players with the same ratings and I'll find animals I've never seen at all? Also, the animals to breed are extremely limited and it's an extreme disappointment when the games and trials don't seem to reach for a win. It's time is limited and one slip forces you to move on from getting a new creature, or to spend spend spend. People have to live. It'll be an amazing game if the people behind it seemed to actually be interested in their /customers/ and the folk who take interest. I get wanting to make money, but at least make it fair. ✓ Game Breaking CrashI absolutely love this game, but it’s got a terrible glitch that prevents game progression. To get more land in this game you must mine for it. To mine you click on the screen to find the parts you need to expand. Whenever I click on the correct spot to get the parts necessary to expand the game crashes and I do not receive the part. Because of this I am stuck and can no longer obtain new animals, because you need room for the animals habitats. The most I can do is watch ads in hopes of being gifted one of the parts required to expand, and hope my neighbors send me gems so that I can use them to expand instead. I have emailed Storm8 support, but seeing this game hasn’t been updated for a year I don’t expect anything to happen. If this manages to get fixed I would gladly give the game 5/5 stars because I love this game, but since it is basically unplayable for me right now I give it 1/5. ✓ Problems with expandingEverything was working perfectly until I got to the level in which you access the mine. In order to expand your island you need to get these runes from a mining mini game, which is fun... until you win and crash the game. Once you re open the game you come to see your bomb ( what you need to play the mini game ) has been used and yet you don’t get the rune you need to expand. I’ve been really enjoying the game, however if I can’t get this item I simply won’t be able to play anymore due to lack of space. It’s even sadder because the game is old and idk if they’ll release a patch to fix this, I saw a Reddit post where they had a lot of problems with support while trying to fix this issue. TLDR: it’s impossible to expand after a certain point (level 12 or so) because of a bug that most likely won’t be fixed because the game is old and doesn’t make enough money anymore.Version: 1.9.2

✓ Battlegrounds System Needs WorkThe Battlegrounds System in terms of how battles go is currently mediocre at best if not joke leveling up an animal such as a Plantlers to LEVEL 10 doesn’t do much to help to keep it from getting beaten by a Rock Rhino that is only LEVEL 5 which is really disappointing due to how the situation of the position of the winner and loser should be in reverse not just because of the level but also due the type or element in which a Earth & Nature animal like a Plantlers should have an advantage against a Earth animal like Rock Rhino due to a Plantlers shouldn’t take consecutive massive hits to it’s health from attacks of element it should be strong against due to the matchup making any Earth attack damage be half of what an opponent would normally take before applying the influence of the difference between Levels. Another thing is that although seems to make such a big deal over getting your animals stronger in terms of how that actually transfers to this situation in the battle grounds an increase in level to even one that is twice that of the opponent along with having a type or element advantage doesn’t seem to add up to any of it being worth the time and effort to level up and evolve an animal if it doesn’t help it due better let alone it only being up the 13th of 40 of the first area making it not worth anyone’s time..Version: 1.8.1

After reaching level 11 and expanding to the mine you can mine for these realm runes which is very simple and self explanatory. Recently the game has been glitching every single time I find anything in the mine and taking me back to my Home Screen as well as not giving me the items I found. It is making it virtually impossible to continue the game in any way because I cannot expand to fit more animal habitats making the game completely pointless. Aside from the glitching mine making it impossible to expand, this game is a money guzzling machine and it will not let you get very far unless you are willing to spend a chunk of change. There are are multiple negative reviews about the mine glitch that has been ongoing for about two months now.
