✓ This game is amazing!This game is amazing but my god... It deleted my save files! I was halfway through the second act! I'll have to play the game again all the way from the beginning and even though game is a beautiful masterpiece, I don't fancy playing through the first act again. Edit: I decided to open up the game and start again when I noticed my game files had magically returned. Maybe they got bored and went for a bit of a walk? ✓ BeautifulThis game is just amazing. The way you play this game is just amazingly by and well thought. You can control what your character says and where they go. And in the end, it was worth it to buy. People may say they don’t like how they have to play it so why are they here anyway. The story is just beautiful. And at the end of the game ( I haven’t finished yet I just watched the tutorials) the two characters paths finally intertwined and it is just an amazing storyline overall. I have never played a game that I loved so much, but now Broken Age is my all time favorite app. I love this game and it has a lot of unique characters and a awesome way of telling the story. ✓ Thoroughly enjoyed by the familyWe had quite a few wet days on holiday. My wife, teenage daughter and I spent of the mornings playing Broken Age and got completely hooked- 17 hours of game play in to the night! Still way more family sharing moments than staring at a movie or getting lost in social media. The puzzles are just challenging enough to keep you going but not so hard you get completely frustrated, especially with a few of you playing together. The graphics were excellent and the story telling was strong, a few questionable elements. On the whole a highly quality and thoroughly enjoyable experience. We're now searching for something similar with little success. We'd buy another of these types of games tomorrow if Double Fine produced one..Version: 2.3.10

✓ Deeper and deeper down the rabbit hole...It started, feeling like it would be too simple but the controls were easy and I liked the acting of the characters.. I loved the plot and how twisted it got. It has a lot of sadness to it when you think about it long enough once you complete it. I found the puzzles to be good but sometimes I needed a nudge in the right direction as the sequence often repeats until the right action has been found but it's not always obvious. ✓ Best Game I have EVER played buy it with no regrets! 😘I finished the game with a couple walkthroughs needed This is a great game with great animation and storyline. I got really attached to the characters. If you love brain teasers you will love this game. I don't really know if the age group is right and YES adults would like this game (but I haven't reached that age and I am just guessing) I really hope they come out with a broken age 2. Plus if you don't have cellular data or wifi on a car trip or something you won't need it you don't need wifi! I have played this game for hours at a time, but I do not recommend walkthroughs because I wish I didn't it just takes away from the fun. ✓ Fun puzzle adventure with interesting storyline - Great for all agesMy 12 y.o. sibling and I (24 y.o.) enjoyed this game. We found it while searching for games similar to the Myst series by Cyan. Very similar game play with exploration into fantastic worlds, puzzles of varying levels. Unlike Myst games, you cannot get trapped in a death loop meaning no puzzles will have alternate endings where you are doomed if you solve the puzzle incorrectly and/or out of order. Artwork is beautiful and themes are appropriate for all ages with humor to resonate with each age group independently. Highly recommend for individual or family fun!.Version: 2.3.10
✓ Love this game! Just one glitch to fix.First of all, let me start out by saying I love this game. It makes you think but it also has some humor woven in between the dialogue. However, I have a glitch that I'm having trouble with. I've tried everything, switching over to Shay's side and playing for a while, restarting the game, even just going to the main menu and back. (Spoilers for people who haven't played till Bossa Nostra yet!) However, when Vella is floating in "space" after getting into Shay's ship or Mog Chothra, when she is supposed to grab the boot with the arm, she just won't do it! I'm not talking about not getting the timing right or anything, when I hold it out, and release on the closest boot ( near the metal arm), the game doesn't react! How can I fix this? ✓ "Will-remember-forever" type of gameThis is one of those games that will stay with you for a long time. I love point and click games and this one is right down my alley. It has quality graphics, amazing voice acting and quite a bit of humor as well. I love the characters and think the story and gameplay is original as well. It will get to the point where you'll have to switch between characters in order to progress and it makes the puzzles just that much more challenging and fun. In total, I spent about 11 hours playing this game. Binge playing, mind you. I finished it within 24 hours. I didn't experience any glitches, as far as I'm aware. It crashed once but picked right back up where it left off. I love that it has a manual save function as well, which I use to save occasionally in case it glitches, always handy to have so you can get back to the point before a glitch. Didn't need it though, thankfully! Aside from that, it saves automatically, very often, too. I bought it at the discounted price, but I thought the original price is $10 and it's well worth it. I will miss this game and its characters, sincerely hoping for a part two! I played this game on the iphone 6s with iOS 9..Version: 2.3.10

✓ One of the best point and click games I've played.I've played all the Leisure Suit Larry games, and most of the King's Quest and Space Quest games, and this one is up there with the best of them. It's Day of the Tentacle quality. And if you know what that means, that means you're also probably on your thirties and also have been looking for a "modern" game these last ten years or so that captures what that game and games like it captured. Well my old gaming friends, this game does it. Great writing, excellent voice acting, and puzzles that are fun to solve without being too challenging. (OK, honestly, the puzzles aren't that clever, but the writing and superb acting make up for it.) I got this game on sale, but I would still have felt like I got a bargain if I had paid $20 for it. ✓ The game you will remember forever...When I played the game, I had tons of fun, and when I saw those credits, I was in tears! This is a game where you can relate to the characters, even though we don't have mogs, spaceships, living yarn, and and people that live on clouds. This is a game that all ages will enjoy. I would love a sequel that gives people another game that they will remember forever. ✓ Stunning Art and GameplayThis is truly one of the most beautiful and complex iOS games I've played. There are many reviews that cover the kind of game it is very well, so I'm not going to address that, but I will say that I was addicted to it until I beat it. ✓ Marvelous story, great puzzlesThe first question before purchasing the game, came to my mind (actually before purchasing anything in general) was "Is it worth ten dollars?". Now I can say "Yes, it was worth it". The game has a nice story and eye catching characters, but those are not the main reasons we play "games". The game is full of puzzles, some of them so hard (for me) that I had to spend few hours to figure out how to solve them. ✓ WowThis was hilarious and unexpected! Everything about this was so funny, and the fact that you caught me off guard with a couple plot twists that I never saw coming is awesome! And then it becomes a bit funny because the game kinda rubs it in your face that they caught you off guard, making the characters say what you thought was going to happen. The only problems I had was that the voices glitched at least one time in each and every convo someone had with someone else. Like, everything a person spoke, their voice glitched once and then when the other person spoke, they would glitch once- so on and so forth. It seems like it would be a pretty big problem and in any other game, it would be- but THIS game is fantastic! I'm a little unsatisfied with the ending, if I was honest- but that's probably just me. Dialogue - for a game which is based on characters speaking to drive the story forwards, you'll still be amazed at the sheer volume of dialogue, and at how continually engaging it is. Each of the characters is unique and entertaining, and they speak with a delightful quirkiness that keeps you interested in talking to everyone - even if they can't help you, you know it will be a fun conversation. Even better than this: there is an incredible voice cast including some leading actors! The vocal delivery of the dialogue is of unparalleled quality for a video game, truly fantastic. ✓ The Best Game I Have Ever PlayedDo not listen to all the haters that say this game is not fun for people older than 11. It is a challenging puzzle game, and all the people that say literally all you do is choose what cereal to eat (True, that is how Shay's story starts, but after you seem to be getting nowhere, there's a way to jump-start the story. Whether it’s the brand new Nintendo Switch edition, the excellent PS4 and Vita (cross-buy supported) ports, PC, or right here on iPhone and iPad, just please buy this game and get it played. A highly doubt you’ll be disappointed. ✓ High Detail, Interactive Cartoon1st, I think I should say that it wasn't really my style of game: an interactive cartoon that was like a very creative movie. But still a cartoon (like for kids). But with that being said, I still enjoyed it and can't really find anything wrong with it. At first it seems super simple. But once you get to the halfway point it is much harder. But both parts do require a lot of wandering around, and wondering what to do. Which isn't so bad as the scenes and people are interesting. But it does get frustrating, in which I used a walkthrough often. It's fun if you can figure it out, but I only have so much time. I encountered no glitches surprisingly, as it takes up a lot of space. I would make sure you have an extra gigabyte or two at least after downloading to allow room for loading. Anyways, I ultimately did enjoy this game and its conclusion. I think it would be an awesome game to play with others on TV, especially as a family. ✓ Fantastic adventure gameI’ve played through plenty, including the Lucas Arts and Sierra classics - even the great (and recent) Thimbleweed park - and this is among the best of them. There are plenty of puzzles between both acts (abstract logic, deduction & reasoning) - but don’t be put off by the ease of act 1, act 2 is much harder. Puzzles are always fair and never impossible - I only needed three subtle hints throughout the whole game. Movement around is swift; it doesn’t feel like a walking simulator ala Grim Fandango. I found the dialogue thoroughly entertaining and humorous (plenty of innuendo!) Other reviewers have been put off by act 1’s locations being the same at the start of act 2, but I found the parallax refreshing and adding value to the story. Which (the story) by the way, had enough in there to hold my interest, although might not be as deep as some of the longer games (this took me about 10hrs to finish.) Overall, great value if you’re after a new and well designed instalment in the adventure game genre..Version: 2.3.10

✓ A wonderful gemIt's really a wonderful game, especially if you're into the point-and-click adventure game genre. The story is unique, easy to follow, and stays with you for a while. The gameplay was extremely smooth and enjoyable. The puzzles were well thought out, and most of them were pretty straightforward. However a number of puzzles were really challenging, and required a lot of thinking and exploring to figure out, which should challenge and please even the seasoned point-and-click adventure game players. Some elements of this game certainly brought back nostalgia for the 90s point-and-click adventure games, not surprising since this game was developed by the studios of Tim Schafer, an icon for this style of games back in those days. Overall this was a wonderful game that hooked me early and kept me coming back for more till the very end. I got it during the $.99 sale and it was completely worth it. The game's about 10 hours long and I loved the puzzles. Yes, they do get a little difficult towards the end (have a pencil and paper handy!) but I like solving challenging puzzles. The art is gorgeous and the characters are memorable and fun. ✓ Spectacular world buildingIf you game to escape and let your imagination run, these guys nailed it. The worlds are as different and diverse as you can get and yet you'll notice little connections early on. There's a great high concept here that pairs perfectly with what is essentially a story based and detailed escape the room puzzler... when your stumped you can jump to the other world. ✓ Great game, but before you buy...I love this game's story and concept. It is worth the money, however there are somethings you should know before spending money. 1. Don't be fooled by Act 1's easy puzzles. Act 2 only gets harder from there, so don't be afraid to consult a walkthrough on the internet. (I did several times) 2. If you can't figure out a puzzle on one characters side, switch characters. 3. When you get to the hexipal rewiring puzzle in Act 2, try one wire at a time. 4. Have a pencil and paper next to you while playing to write stuff down that you may need to know later. 5. Make sure what ever device you plan to buy the game on has capable software to handle this big game. Preferably a IPad or a newer IPhone. (I downloaded this game on my iPod touch and it is very laggy and the game keeps crashing at a cutscene so I can't countinue. I had to look up Stampy's videos just to get the ending.) 6. Most importantly, don't give up! This game has a great ending that is definitely worth all the hard puzzles. The credits have a good pay off too, so stick around for them. While it may be a point-and-click style game, there is so much more to it than that. The puzzles are amazing and never really spell out for you exactly what you need to do, which adds to the fun of this game, as you get the chance to think your way through the game rather than being led through it. My only complaint is that every so often the game would crash, but it autosaves every time you enter a different area, so I never really lost any save progress. ✓ Another milestone from the creators of Monkey IslandI've been a fan of point and click adventures since I was a child. My favorite games are the Monkey Island series, Grim Fandango and Machinarium. ✓ BEST GAME EVER!! So worth it!At first I didn't understand this game but hours later it started getting so easy, it took me about 12 hours to complete the game, and the end was amazing. The pictures in the credits were cute and hilarious, my favorite one is the last one where Shay and Vella are sitting together on a hill. My other favorite is spoon and fork's baby, spork. Although, I was a little sad that Vella and Shay never had a relationship. (I am in love with game romance, but not too much.) ✓ Another Beautiful Adventure!Today I spent all day playing through Broken Age. The story is absolutely captivating. The writing is incredibly witty and charming and the voice-acting is sublime. It's just a beautiful game all-around. Like many adventure games it suffers from a few annoying puzzles, so it might be necessary to follow a guide at times. In my experience, most adventure games have that issue so it didn't ruin the experience for me or anything. ✓ Great App!I love Broken age, but don’t get me wrong...this app is a real time consumer.I had to look up tutorials on how to fix a hexipal or what pattern to crochet into the Space Weaver. Overall it's one of the best games I've ever played, it's little too hard in places. It's very unique, I have not come across a game like this before. I highly recommend it, it also has some fun twists in the story. There should be some clues in the game as in some places it’s very hard. The interface and way the characters got around was pretty interesting to, as it was like a platform game except in more than two directions, and more than up and down: it was also towards and away from the screen. I absolutely loved the story in act 1--which left my jaw open in delighted shock at the reveal of the juicy plot. Unfortunately, that's about where the interesting plot ended. Mostly only more questions rise in act 2, and I think the plot could've been explored much more and explained much better in act 2. As a side note, I don't really like Vella... Mostly just Shay. But oh, Curtis is funny. Anyways, overall for an iPhone game this was pretty awesome, despite the disappointing act 2. It was definitely worth playing. Don’t be afraid to use the walkthrough to help you through sticky points now and then; as satisfying as it is to figure it out on your own, there are a couple sequences that need to be done in a very specific order. I also recommend taking the time to ask every character every question and watch all cutscenes. The voice acting in this game is just as valuable as the gameplay itself!!! With the talents of Elijah Wood, Wil Wheaton, Jack Black, and many more, not to mention witty dialogue and adult humor, it’s well worth the extra time it takes to watch the scenes, not only for the game information, but for the entertainment. ✓ Where has this been all my life!?I’m not one to leave reviews ever but this game pulled me in with its whimsical art style and I stayed for the endearing voice acting, amazing world building, unique characters, fun puzzles that increase in difficulty as you play, and an absolutely WILD story line. I can usually guess the end to games and movies but this one had me going “whaaaaaaaaaaaa..??” At every turn! This game is so much fun and you kinda feel like a genius after completing an area. ✓ AMAZINGThis game had me hooked until I was finished! It has an awesome and interesting story and it makes sense! It is mega clever that you made the story’s link! It’s also cool that you made a simple punch into a story switch! All I can say is that you have a good dialogue, a good story and a good range everything a game needs! Please make a second broken age! But 2 questions: If shay wasn’t really in space is Lorena real? And if Alex went down the same root with Merrik is merrik immortal? Plus I was quite astonished when I saw the cast and saw the lead in hobbit as shay and jack black as harmony light beard! Overall this game is reallllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyy AMAZING! ✓ Enjoyable EnoughBeen a forever fan of the Monkey Island games, in comparison, this one doesn’t disappoint in terms of the graphics, plot, game controls design, length & difficulty of the puzzles. I love that this game teaches morals and virtues instead of emphasising the opposite - Really suitable for children and those who wants some clean fun without excessive violence & “dark” themes that most popular adventure games are these days. A few Cons: 1) A few puzzles are way too tricky even in hindsight (totally subjective but to a point they completely killed the momentum and enjoyment at certain points) 2) LACK of humour -Or maybe being an adult the children humour just doesn’t strike a cord? I hardly laughed playing the game. 3) Dialogues- Way too many, tasteless & tedious to go through at times. 4) Ending- Really, that’s it?! Would be nice to see the after-story and not just some illustrations at credits. Feels like the designers just ran out of time.. In contrast with the amount of storytelling throughout the game. 5) Areas too time-consuming to walk through at times- would like more shortcuts e.g. map with hyperlinks..Version: 2.3.10
✓ Never be a game like this!I almost never write a review for an app/game because (a) I don't think they're deserve a Review or (b) I can't be bothered. But I needed to go out of my way to write a review on this AMAZING game. Sadly this game took my three days to finish and that was because I was hooked. I tried to prolong the impending end as I could but I was hooked. The design and art of the game is breathtaking as well as the plot. Usually one-point click games can get boring really fast but the story and plot it kept you on your toes. The puzzles you had to solve some were really hard and it was a real challenge which is what I love. And no matter how challenging it was and how frustrating it was to solve I still kept coming back to it because I needed to know how the story progressed. I'm praying they come out with a sequel but if they can't at least make another game similar to this with a whole new storyline, adventures and puzzles because there WILL NEVER BE A GAME LIKE THIS..Version: 2.3.10

✓ Charming and cuteI find this game absolutely charming, and pretty funny at times too. I love the graphics, and the story is interesting. Only problem: you double tap to skip scenes. However i've done this accidentally TWICE on important story scenes which you can't go back and replay! It's a useful feature to have when you accidentally click on the same thing twice and don't want to hear the same dialogue twice, but i have skipped two important story scenes now and i want to watch them!! ✓ Amazing, simply amazing.I don't normally write reviews but this game is amazing. If you get this I recommend wearing headphones because the voice acting makes it so much better. I got this game when it was 5$ and let me tell you that I would have paid 10$. The story was amazing, the game was hard, and the scenery was great. I highly recommend this game. I was able to play it on my iPad mini with no problems and I enjoyed every part of the story. I will warn you it's extremely hard or at least it was for me. It sometimes took me several hours just to figure out how to continue. Still you should buy this game. Just do it. Buy it. I promise you won't be let down..Version: 2.3.10
✓ Great game! Lot’s of enjoyment.I’ve been having a great time playing this game. It is one of the best adventure games I’ve played in a while and perhaps the best on a tablet. The artwork is attractive and the voice acting is really acting…not just read like an announcement like some games. The story line is intriguing and has some interesting twists. The user interface is well thought out with the ability to jump to the end of cut scenes that you’ve seen before without too much danger off missing them because of an badly timed tap. If I had one complaint is that most of the puzzles are inventory based…what object to collect to do a task, etc. None so far that are logic puzzles. (I’m a Myst fan.) For the record, I’m running it on an iPad Air and have had absolutely no technical glitches..Version: 2.1.0

✓ I'm begging youOMG, I only finished the baker story, well, just a few seconds ago. I AM BEGGING YOU to make a Broken Age 2. I almost cried when I finished the baker story. I wanted so much more! I now am on the space story. I've never seen a game with such, amazing, and beautiful artwork. The voices to, don't get me started! Double Fine, you are triple fine! Oh yeah one more thing.... what I would do for Broken Age 2, is maybe, maybe, have second generations? Or maybe do like, a different story, but where it still includes the original charecters!
