OK game if you can get past the UIThere’s a solid concept here, but it could really use some refinement. This game isn’t as polished as the reviews would make it seem. I’m no stranger to CCGs, but when you start by asking me to create a character and assigning point to stats without explaining to me what those stats are, we’re off to a bad start. Constantly looking up the terms in the manual slows down play. Most games gradually introduces you to each keyword, giving you time to see how it influences the game. The input required to view the text of the card could use some tweaking. I was constantly fighting with either “peeking” at the card or having the card stay in expanded mode so I can view the text. It would help if the key words had the explanation written on the card (think like mtg where the short explanation is in parentheses and italics ). There’s plenty of space. The map movement feels meh, but I’m not sure how to improve offhand. I think I’d prefer fewer combat lanes. You should be able to drag certain types of spells (like draw 2 cards) to the middle of the battlefield to play them. Dragging them to your discard to play them seems counterintuitive. All in all, this game lacks the level of polish I was expecting for how highly it was reviewed..Version: 1.1.16

Cards need to be balanced betterIt’s a good game however really spoilt by the poor balancing of the cards that are drawn for both player and AI. Far too many times when you get deep into the game the AI seems to have a perfect hand, for example, whenever you finally put a creature card down the AI seems to always have a destruction card to just wipe it away and in the meantime the AI is just hammering you with attack cards. Quite often too, you as the player either keep drawing aeon cards or creature cards and not a fair mix. Spoils what could potentially be a great game..Version: 1.1.19

Quality CCGStarts well but stalls a couple of dungeons in. Difficulty level ramps up and makes it almost impossible to play. Shame really nicely laid out, good artwork, well implemented ideas but the pacing is off..Version: 1.1.14

Clunky, poorly balanced, uglyIts obtuse and lets face the truth it also looks like a mid 00's mobile game from a basement dev team. This is not up to par. Nothing is explained in the so called tutorials but luckily I have played old portable "lane combat" CCGs so knew what to expect fairly quickly. Newbies to the genre will suffer. Moving around towns and dungeons space by space is pointless time waster tapping. Just get to reason we are playing already...the duels. Forging and Purchasing cards is clunk not just from UI but the size and loom of your cards is ugly and indistinct. Color balance is laughable. Blue has Counter Spells, Direct Damage, cheap haste, creature buffs, card draw, and seems like everything else but simple healing. but i bet it has cards i never saw that heal. No thanks. Only positive thing I can say is at least I only wasted $2.Version: 1.3

Be prepared to lose, oftenJust about ready to delete this game. Playing on casual, and loosing about 80% of the time. I like a challenge, but this is not fun. Gold trickles in, but cards cost too much for the decent ones. AI *always* gets the right card at the right time, while you draw crap...6 turns in a row without drawing an aeon card (equivalent to mana in MTG) when that type is 34% of my deck?!? The odds of that must be in the hundreds of millions. Total grind fest just to earn enough gold for one decent card. The only reason this doesn’t get one star is that there are no iap’s to get gold or loot drops. You earn everything in game, but it might take years....Version: 1.1.6

Fun but deeply flawedThe game is habit forming for sure, but I have real issues with it: 1. Replay value is really hampered by one bad design decision: Some cards can only be achieved from certain enemies, but they're not guaranteed to drop and the enemies don't respawn. So if you get an idea for a killer combo involving a card that comes from a boss, you might have to play through half the game just to find out you're SOL. (Yes, this is a game about collecting cards where you can't actually collect all the cards.) 2. Another bad design decision: If you draw over the hand limit, you discard whichever card happened to be on the left. But this *almost never matters,* so you forget about it, and then you lose your best card because something suddenly makes you draw. Just let me @&$!@ choose which card to discard. If I wanted to fuss about nagging little details that usually don't matter, I'd stick to real life. Both of these experiences built up a bad taste in my mouth over time. I'm giving up on the game, which is really too bad because it's *so close* to being so much better..Version: 1.1.18

Love the game mechanics but too hardI love this kind of CCG dungeon crawler game and the mechanics are cool, but even on the easiest of easy level, with no penalties for dying, this game is too hard to make progress. At the very least, a player should be able to get some experience or even just a little gold for losing a duel so that they can get stronger. I lost twice to the training bad guy before I was able to win. And then after, I only managed to kill one other baddie before I got stuck trying over and over to kill a level 1 bad guy. If the devs could make it easier at the start (especially while you’re learning), I’d be all up for this :).Version: 1.1.15

Mana Burn/Screw breaks this game.I got so frustrated with mana burn/screw that I deleted the game a couple of months back. I just reinstalled it and lost my second consecutive match after drawing six Aeon cards over six turns each time taking a barrage of damage. At this point I had already played 9 Aeons, that is every mana card in my deck, dealing into my hand with 20 cards to spare. Even with random shuffling this is difficult to achieve, and it happens all the time. In physical games, if you shuffle poorly this can happen, but we’re talking about a digital game here, write an algorithm into the shuffling mechanic! This isn’t fun, it’s what everyone hates about MtG and it has somehow reached its opus here..Version: 1.2

Needs rebalancingA decent ccg, but need UI/UX work (being able pause to see opponent's cards/play disrupters) and deck rebalancing. Great art though and good value for money..Version: 1.1.2

Okay game at best.I bought this because of it's comparison to MtG. I can agree with that. Basically I was enjoying it until I came up against the totally broken ability of armor. This combined with certain cards make a character nearly unbeatable and zero fun to play against. That one thing is why I stopped playing and deleted this game..Version: 1.1.12

Misaligned graphicsI think this game is probably well designed from the perspective of anyone who likes ccgs and fantasy art, and it is probably fine on iPad, but I have trouble playing it on my Xs, because the card graphics in the duels are not properly aligned with the graphical tabletop. Also, menu items are only partially visible, bleeding off the edge of the screen. Buttons graphics are not aligned with touch sensitive areas on the phone screen. I would gladly change my rating upward if this UI issue were resolved. Thanks.Version: 1.4.7

Aeon IssueI love the concept of this game and I was so excited for it. It is really fun until it becomes literally unbeatable. For the last several hours of play, even with thoughtful deck building, I keep only drawing either Aeon cards (I haven’t added more to the decks) or really low level monster cards. I was excited to find a MTG-esque game with an RPG flip, but I feel like I wasted my money. It’s the equivalent of only drawing land cards but never being able to utilize them, so I keep getting stuck within the first two levels no matter how many times I keep restarting. Super frustrating..Version: 1.1.16

Better ways to spend your time…I mean, for the money it’s worth a try. The game is incredibly unbalanced and often not even fun. There are multiple cards that can wipe out every creature you control, so amassing a force feels pointless. Most turns are: play a creature that can’t attack until next turn, opponent blows it up, play another creature or two, opponent counters them, etc. etc. I got a few dungeons in and finally gave up. Boring..Version: 1.4.6

Tried to like itI will say it has a ton of cards, and that’s both a good a bad thing, after all this is mobile gaming, I’m not sure I want a trillion trillion possible combinations….. Regardless, each area has roughly 3 zones, and you get the same quests repeatedly: there’s monsters in the town, the portal is elsewhere, oh you got it, umm the stone to work it is somewhere else…. It’s monotonous… There’s no real story, and the scaling is atrocious, which is in part due to the size of the decks and nearly limitless card options, you almost have to retool your deck after every fight, as one fight your top dog but the next could take you 5-10 attempts depending on your RNG luck. TLDR: it’s rather boring, doesn’t consume much battery life, but you have to be a hardcore deck builder or love the challenge of constantly building a deck to love it..Version: 1.4.4

UnbalancedThere is a shell of a good game here completely destroyed by absolutely terrible progression. The pace at which you gain extra and cards is terrible and makes progression just plain frustrating. You get shoehorned into a starting color and basically have to create a new character to try a different color because you don’t have any resources to play any other color to start. You get so little gold from matches shops are basically useless as most the cards you win are worthless too There is no way to go off and level up if you reach an opponent you can’t beat as once you beat an opponent they are gone for good so you can’t even grind weaker opponents to try and progress making this just RNG at its most frustrating because if you don’t get useful rewards you literally can’t progress. Worse yet unless you turn off the penalties losing means you lose gold or even precious cards it is actually a reverse grind where the enemy weakens you but you won’t really have anything else but to push on because the game is so linear You yourself a favor and pass on this one.Version: 1.4.6
