DJI GO for Negative User Reviews

Crashes when processing pano photosEvery time I go to take a panoramic photograph, so when it’s finished processing, the app crashes and the photo is not in my library. Another one of my pet peeves is that my DJI Osmo mobile 2 drains my phone battery when connected via Bluetooth. Please, as a customer, please release an update that fixes these bugs..Version: 3.1.67

STOP CRASHINGSo this app is very convenient, with how it’s laid out and everything. But, after the most recent update it just won’t stop crashing. While it’s flying, while trying to open the app, while trying to edit, export, always just crash, crash, crash. I can’t rely on using the camera to fly because of it and have to stick to open spaces. Also, I keep getting this “strong wireless interference” notification. It’s often set off by phones and radios I believe. I really just need this crashing stuff fixed..Version: 3.1.23

Could be improvedThe video quality when watching replays via the app is good. But you can’t save to your mobile or upload in HD! But if a let down in that respect. But the still picture quality is good.Version: 3.1.52

NightmareThis app is a total nightmare. All my photos disappear so I can’t download to my phone. It happens all the time and I have to stop using this app for photo shooting. Not to mention it still does not have iPhone X support (it’s been like more than a month, come on DJI)..Version: 3.1.23

Not for mobile!I’m sure some people will think this app is fine. As in ”windows 95 was fine” while you scratched your head in frustrated confusion, or worse. Sure, it’s ”fine”. But: The usability is extremely error prone! It is an app that was very very obviously designed on a big screen for people with perfect vision. The problem with that is no one has either. It is NOT a mobile friendly app. No, so sorry Charlie. And if you don't have perfect vision - you’re like most people: forget about it. This app is for recording video and I have missed many in-recaptruable videos from poor interface, user feedback, atrocious visual design, and disappointing usability on iPhone 9..Version: 3.1.59

Tracking feature is amazing, but no 24fps selfie or back camera?Every time you open the app to connect the OSMO Mobile 2 it won’t recognize the Bluetooth connection even when you already paired and connected your phone with the OSMO via your phone’s settings. You have to exit DJI Go and disconnect from Bluetooth and connect again in order for DJI Go to recognize Bluetooth connection. Tracking feature is awesome but I need 24fps as do many others. All of my projects require 24fps. Please DJI, fix the Bluetooth stuff and add 24fps options. Your app is almost perfect..Version: 3.1.34

Crash every timeApp crashes every time I try to open it..Version: 3.1.64

Well done... it’s totally broken nowEvery update of this app has made it worse and worse to the point it won’t even work at all anymore. So many complaints about the same thing and yet it falls on deaf ears. I used to tell everyone how good DJI was but now I have to tell people to avoid it like the plague until they fix their fukups. Thank god for Litchi or I would have thousand dollar ornament sitting in my lounge. You guys (dji) are fricken pathetic. Please employ at least one person with some brains please. Do I sound frustrated?.... YOU BET!.Version: 3.1.23

It stopped workingThis app needs update. It used to be good. Now the app keeps on telling me to turn on Bluetooth while my phone Bluetooth settings already shown connected. Update: I uninstalled the app and forget the Osmo under Bluetooth. Reinstalled the app, create an account by giving them an email. It does the trick and Bluetooth is able to connect within the app..Version: 3.1.68

Good Overall but lacking some functionsThis is a good overall system. My only gripe is that there is no way to program an automated pan unless you’re shooting timelapse. The manual pan joystick just isn’t good enough for smooth horizontal pan. It’s an easy fix, and one that many people have been asking for..Version: 3.1.47

App is 0%The app completely lets down the hardware. If you are happy shooting everything manually, using your phones camera app, then the gimbal will deliver great stabilization. If you wish to use the auto tracking feature in the DJI app it will crash and crash to the point of frustration. They have not kept up the apps software in pace with IOS changes and now is completely incompatible. You can’t even keep the app open long enough to change the settings in the app. DJI get it together, fix the bugs, or stop advertising that it can do things, to which it clearly cannot. False advertising is illegal in Australia. Look after your customers or you will have none. I have the osmo mobile product. Was getting one of the drones, but will now look at other brands. And will head back to the place of purchase to return the item. My recommendation is that if you are looking for that gimbal that auto tracks an image then this product is not for you. Look at other brands..Version: 3.1.23

Can't sign inWhenever I try to sign into my dji account on the app it comes back after quite some time saying that I need to check network setting (that I am connected to a network). I am definitely connected to the internet. Downloaded the app (and writing this on the same connection)..Version: 3.1.13

Does not “work on this phone”Completely useless on non-button phones: you can’t even get past the first-run permissions settings..Version: 3.1.59

Seriously outdatedSince DJI released newer drones they don’t seem to care to update this app. There is an annoying bug limiting the flight distance to 50m, the flight record doesn’t update, it keeps deleting pictures from the editor/app library, several app crashes during flight, very poor experience....Version: 3.1.15

Do I have to agree to give my GPS location???The app won’t start up. It shows Privacy settings screen. I want to allow it only to access DJI Device Hardware information, nothing else. It doesn’t allow me to continue. I uninstalled it and reinstalled again by still the same. Really? Please fix it asap or I’ll be returning DJI gimbal for a full refund..Version: 3.1.42

Needs to be fixed!!!You pay good money for DJI’s amazing product and this app is just a let down. I have an iPhone 7 and With my Osmo mobile 2, it’s constantly crashing, the video is jittery and glitchy even after exporting, active track is buggy and works horribly and there are so many bugs that make it a headache to use. I want to love this app but frankly, it doesn’t work..Version: 3.1.31

Sadly usual unstable and not ready for pro workLatest update left me with interview with no sound. A buggy feature no doubt. 100% not user error. Last update would crash and lose vid, so I guess this is an improvement. A hellhole of an app, a total shambles when reliable is the word needed for something that wants to be taken seriously. DJI is amateur hour playing at it. Update You cant delete more than one vid as it crashes. Anyone actually quality testing this ?!.Version: 3.1.53

App is TerribleThis app is garbage. Not sure if the developers are gonna fix the plethora of issues and glitches but as of now I’d recommend to stay far away from any of the products associated with this specific DJI GO app..Version: 3.1.68

No support or response from DJI.Support for this app is almost non-existent. I’ve owned many DJI products over the years and boycotted them a couple of years ago as I was exasperated at being an unpaid Beta tester for them. Returned to a DJI product recently and guess what!? You’re still beta testing their software AND hardware! They are happy to take your money but are constantly lagging behind with firmware and software updates..Version: 3.1.54

DJI, what the he11?What other product can you purchase that works less the more it’s updated and longer you own it. I’ve had numerous DJI quads and hexa’s from the F450 with Naza V1 and software 1.0. The older ones you had to build and could upgrade. Firmware updates have taken away channels, used to have 32. Made the video range way shorter and way more error messages and warnings which guess what- take your eye off the copter! Signal interference all the time, video feed not working and annoying warnings multiple times about airspace (I’m a pilot, don’t need multiple screen hogging warnings about the same thing, I got it). So if it were a car it would be like your range would go down, windshield fog up a lot and get less radio stations after taking it in for service.........Version: 3.1.34

Waste of time don’t buyIf you want to use the gimble you have to open the app and wait for an advertisement then navigate unrelated screens and then more waiting and then select the device you’re using (the app is for several devices) By the time it allows you to actually use the gimble whatever you’re trying to video is over. this app is a total waste of time . You’re better off holding your mobile phone in your hand and taking the shot..Version: 3.1.54

Worst AppI was trying to set account and it’s almost impossible. Sent me reset password link in foreign language I can’t understand . And 8-20 characters password is just aJoke - almost can’t match any of the password I try so I give up ..Version: 3.1.67

Will not connect to iPhone 11 on iOS 14Used for Osmo Mobile 2. This app is useless. As stated in many reviews, it just stopped connecting to the device. Aside from the invasive data mining that you have to authorize, this has rendered a perfectly working device completely useless. Will not connect to Bluetooth even though the phone clearly sees and will connect to the Osmo. The app says to enable Bluetooth and connect. Seems they are either bricking these older devices, or maybe you have to “allow all (spying)” to get it to work. 0/10 would not recommend. Also, the password reset email is in Chinese, and the phone number option also lists “main land China number”. Deleting app and all information. Guess I’ll toss the device as well..Version: 3.1.68

Cumbersome workflow, no geotaggingI use this app with my Osmo Mobile. First, I do not understand why I need to have an account. I am totally not interested in any of the online functions. When I am in the outdoors there may not even be any mobile phone signal. Second, why do I have to manually copy photos and videos from the app to get them into my library? I want them only in my library and no where else. I don't want to have to manually copy them. What's more, the photos and videos I copy are dated on the day I copy them and not when I took them. So if I forget to move them at some day they will be put together with others I take later on. Third, the photos and videos do not contain any geodata, photos and videos I take on my iPhone are all fine but those from the DJI app never contain any location data. That's very annoying. I have to add them manually later on. Update: The developers broke power usage. I used to use the app for hours. Now my iPhone SE goes from around 80% to almost 0 in 10 minutes. Apple’s camera app still works efficiently. It’s just DJI’s that’s broken..Version: 3.1.59

App does not save picturesEvery time you close the app it deletes the pictures you have taken, you can only get them back by connecting your phone to your MacBook and copying them on to your camera roll then importing them. Who has time for that? Complete waste of money. I’m taking my osmo back to the shop for a refund..Version: 3.1.19

Not worth the hassleWas given this as a gift thankfully. If I bought it I would return it. Very cumbersome to get the phone to stabilize. The manual was 2 pages long and never mentioned how to calibrate the “balancing” of it all. The up is down and right is left is very annoying for a beginner user. I would also expect the same quality as I am using my iPhone X but everything is worse than the camera on the flip phone I had years ago. Why don’t the pics go to my album. That makes no sense. I don’t like to share my location and yet it must have it enabled to work.. why is that necessary if I am using it for personal use. I do not want my pics on an app that I have to then go download each and every image (most are so terrible they are garbage). I will stick with my regular camera (Nikon) and my iPhone. I wish it would just allow me to use it as a stabilizer and use my phone settings for quality and all other settings. Do not recommend this at all..Version: 3.1.42

Crashed againBetween crashing during exporting, crashing when trying to pair with osmo mobile, crashing when trying to change video quality, and not actually wanting to delete footage after deleting it, i have gotten kind of tired. Haven’t used this app in about 2 months, which means it only worked for about 2 weeks. Tried it today and it crashed about 10 seconds in. I’ve deleted it now and am reinstalling it to see it if makes a difference. Wish me luck or send me my money back because it’s not worth the bells and whistles that I paid for..Version: 3.1.23

Should save video to camera roll by defaultGimbal is pretty good, just noticed it doesn’t save video to the camera roll, you have to go in and select all the videos and then save them to your device... why? Why can’t you have the option to save to the camera roll by default? I want all my footage easily downloaded onto my computer for editing, I don’t want this additional step of selecting all the videos and downloading all these videos to the camera roll, it is superfluous... SAD!.Version: 3.1.47

Do not get this upgradeThis will nit connect eith a P3P - dji needs to make the older app available assp.Version: 3.1.4

Privacy invasionThe app requires location access and local network access? I want to use an Osmo 2 smartphone gimbal which has no Wi-Fi and (until I launch it out of my window in frustration with typical privacy hostile practises) no ability to fly. At most, to operate my osmo, the app needs Bluetooth and photo library access. DJI simply does not need to know where I am or what’s on my local network. Why can’t this be fixed? The product is and continues to be a paperweight as things stand..Version: 3.1.68

Why 2 apps??I’ve got the latest DJI app for my Phantom, but I’ve rented an Inspire1. The latest app supports the Phantom and the Inspire2 (among many others) but I need the old app for the Inspire1? Frustrating to have to download the 350+MB app in a rural area!.Version: 3.1.23

DJI Go needs a lot more workIPhone X runs extremely hot using this app with Osmo Mobile 2 when compared to native camera app. Also Bluetooth connection is unreliable sometimes unless I shutdown the phone and reboot all other Bluetooth devices must be disconnects to use this app, needs a lot more work and development to be even half way useful and reliable..Version: 3.1.47

Absolutely not useable on iPhone 6 PlusIPhone 6 Plus only offers max 1080 and when using the app, the camera drops frames continually. The result is not s smooth video as it appears the cache of the app cannot keep up and I have a 128Gb unit. This is a total waste of money and the only thing to do is not use the app, lose all the cool features that are mostly buggy and use the iPhone camera and bypass the app. Basically you are just using a gimbal without visual control. Needs to be sorted. Also the system is not a good flow path and it should allow you to record direct to your photo library and bypass the useless manager and editor. What is it with software companies that continually pander to the idiots and ignore professionals?.Version: 3.1.42

Cannot open the app!I had gotten my phantom 3 on Christmas and noticed ever since the app loved to crash... it would cry 7-8 times during flight which is dangerous and ever since i havent flew my drone. Just today (4th of Jan) i tried to start the app and it doesnt even open! How do i fly my drone now? If i cant open the app then i just wasted my money... this needs to be fixed ASAP....Version: 3.1.23

Worst editing app!!!!!!The app itself was designed nicely, you would think that a company that charges $500+ for drones and have sold thousands would invest in looking into the reviews. The editing app is HORRIBLE, get ready for some major frustration. It crashes in the middle of you working on it, hit the wrong button and all your work gone, there’s no save feature. Also, when you go to upload it, takes 5+ minutes just to upload a video of 1min. The app editing portion is a joke. Seriously guys, the ceo or someone really needs to take a look at these reviews, listen to your customers. All it takes is someone or another company to read these reviews, fix these issues and hit you where you are weak. The frustration is beyond me..Version: 3.1.42

DJI osmo 2How comes this used to be the app for my Osmo 2 and now it thinks I own a Drone?! They changed the app to a drone one and how I am supposed to control my Osmo 2 filming accessory now?.Version: 3.1.68

Not for professional useThe Osmo is a handy tool; mainly - in my case - for tilt & pan where I can’t effectively move a phone in pitch or yaw. As far as this app is concerned: some record-keeping footage is ok, but on a professional output level, I’m afraid it doesn’t cut it. Broad daylight I’ve found a very choppy effect, similar to dropped frames Filming in a dark environment (well-lit subjects; lighting set with scopes), the contrast really shows up some terrible artefacts. Fortunately I’ve discovered Filmic Pro talks to the Osmo. Only in a basic way, but then the record button is all I really need! I’d avoid using the app for anything with decent requirements, but fine if you’re record-keeping or doing some holiday video..Version: 3.1.59

Seriously needs fixing by DJISince GEO fencing came in this App has caused the user no end of trouble by intermittently preventing the drone flying above 30m and beyond 50m. The solution is to land clear the App and start again very inconvenient and embarrassing in front of clients. The other issue is that it not longer shows photos or elapse time of videos taken. It needs to be resolved soon..Version: 3.1.15

If it works leave it alone. If your drone is working fine you don’t need to update the software and firmware. The update firmware includes updated fly zones or no-fly zones. If you update your software and firmware you run a high risk of not being able to fly your drone in the new zone updates. Your drone was very expensiveTo purchase. The firmware updates are difficult and I don’t recommend updating firmware too often. You can Corrupt your firmware update easily. If it works fine leave it alone. Done.Version: 3.1.68

False advertisingThe app doesn’t work. Totally false advertising..Version: 3.1.59

Osmo mobile won’t work because the DJI Go app crashes continuallyI was shown this at an Apple store, was so impressed with the photos and video that I bought one, I can’t believe DJI has an app that controls it’s hardware that won’t work, I can’t give any stars to something that won’t work.Version: 3.1.23

Dji app firmware update trashed my drone. Now useless !!!All seemed fine but Djibouti app kept hassling me to update firmware so I eventually gave in. Started firmware update. It crashed halfway through update and corrupted my phantom 3 pro. I spent 2 weeks in forums trying different fixes and pulling my hair out. No joy and got sick of flashing lights and random constant beeps. Sent it to Drone doctor in Brighton, they couldn't fix it and sent it to Dji. Dji say I need a new controller and want to charge me for new controller! It was their software and updates that killed it !!! Zero confidence with Dji or products. Be warned of updates. 2 months of summer and no drone..Version: 3.1.42

Could be a good app but...The app keeps crashing mid flight! Please fix this dji as it is very dangerous not being able see what way the drone is facing and filming - you can’t always tell which way it’s flying when the app goes down. I’m running an iPhone 7 on the lastest updates for reference..Version: 3.1.23

Keeps crashing entire phoneWhenever I use this app it crashed the entire device after between 5-15 mins of use. This makes the app unusable and is really irritating. My phone is the iPhone 6s. All I want to do is make some videos but it keeps crashing the app and when it does the battery percentage drops massively. Today it was from 60% to 11%..Version: 3.1.47

Lost all videoBecause this stupid app writes to its own storage and not the camera roll I cannot get any video out of the app. I can’t move it due to the phone being full and it won’t let me delete any of it. It’s just bricked itself in the player. This app used to be brilliant but of recent the panoramic photos don’t stitch together ie only does 6 instead of all 9. Sort it out DJI!.Version: 3.1.30

A company that allowed success to out grow customer care.Once again DJI commands market share at the expense of customer care. Non-responsive tech support, incompetent support, U.S. support has zero authority to answer customer questions related to bug status, work-a-rounds, etc. DJI continues to make great announcements of features and functions they have not fully developed or tested. They discontinue products/models quicker than their batteries run out. Security is so pathetic they have been banned by all U.S. military and most agencies. DJI needs to decide whether they want to be a product company or a spy agency. Seriously!! Prediction- when successful companies act like DJI they open the door for the competition to take their place. Suggestion- If you are sincerely ask for a review, then READ THEM and LISTEN!.Version: 3.1.34

Taking my Phantom 3SE backOkay , I do understand this can’t be anything like a MAVIC pro, but in Every way shape & Form this drone and APP has failed me. I am a dji Fan and Customer but I can’t but wonder what they achieved by releasing this drone which has given me no end of trouble. From inadequate range to inferior pictures from its 4K-12mp camera to its useless wifi , I can’t help but say I wasted my money. For a drone with identical camera SPECS to a MAVIC in it, I can say your dreaming get even a 300m clear picture transmission and remote range. My first negative dji product review ever, I am hoping for, at the very least, a credit for this Drone. WISH me Luck!!!.Version: 3.1.27

Stuttering video using front cameraThis app’s only serious shortcoming so far is the fact that when recording video from the front, high resolution camera in HD mode, it stutters continuously. It works fine with the other lower resolution camera, but given that mostly one wishes to use the higher resolution this is an issue that really needs to be resolved. My current workaround is to use FilmicPro which doesn’t suffer from that problem. Hopefully this frustrating issue can be fixed so that my otherwise very high opinion of the Osmo 2 will shift into 5 stars..Version: 3.1.38

After updated not functioningAfter recent updated when I turn on my OSMO+ it doesn’t not function at all, can’t even turn on screen, it keep displaying “Gimbal Locked”, please fix the problem.Version: 3.1.42

Do not support iPhone 11 wide anglePlease update software to support iphone11 super wide angle.Version: 3.1.59

UselessThis app was working fine and now, I’m guessing because of software upgrades on my iPhone 8, it won’t work at all. The app won’t even open rendering my drone absolutely useless!!! What am I meant to do?? This is very frustrating as I’m relying on it to work and my expensive bit of kit is just sitting there doin sweet FA!!! Angry 😡 Update - I have spoken with DJI support and they said that the software issue with the iPhone 8 has been updated and if it still doesn’t work it must be a problem with my phone. My phone works on every other app and also worked on DJI Go when I very first upgraded. Is anyone else having this issue?.Version: 3.1.23

Poor performanceThis app is a waste of time. If you own a phantom 3 standard don’t even bother downloading this app unless you need to upgrade firmware. Apart from that this a useless tool. Pay the $35 and download the litchi app. Otherwise you have to manually fly the drone. DJI do not care about the end user of their product and the software reflects this..Version: 3.1.24

Sends You Somewhere ElseI don’t do too many reviews, just because it’s not really needed, but this one..... This is blatant and ridiculous from DJI. It’s obvious they want you into another newer unit, as anything other than a upper unit is now a brick with the DJI GO app. I downloaded the Litchi app for $23, and guess what, it works. DJI go app continues to send you to the “quiz” and after that, white screen of death. I LOVED the DJI GO app for several years, but now, it’s just literally garbage, like unusable. How can DJI do this? It’s business... they have more units using the newer apps and they “made” the DJI GO app ground the older units, moving some to new equipment ... look at all the forums and it’s obvious. Too bad they don’t have a phone number ....Version: 3.1.65

Fun but unstableThis app offers many functions that make the OSMO a very useable device but it is unstable on my iPhone XR. Continually crashes when trying to create a simple 1080 auto form video..Version: 3.1.54

Good but doesn’t workI have been using my Phantom 3 for a few years now but had a break for several months. Coming back to flying I downloaded the latest version of the app with the intention to make sure the firmware is up to date before taking off. The app won’t load at all now on my iPhone 6 on IOS 11(+) so can’t fly. I’ve used this app before and find it a great tool so am very disappointed and frustrated that it no longer works. Please put an update out correcting this soon..Version: 3.1.23

Just scratch the surface and you’ll find a pile of crapIt has all the appearances of a great app but the functionality is very quirky and unintuitive..Version: 3.1.59

I used to be able to take panoThe device keeps disconnecting during panorama shots and always glitches, sometimes it’s stuck in auto repeat and other times it’s just won’t do, it worked really good when I first got it but after a few updates nothing seems to work anymore ..Version: 3.1.64

App works well...when it doesn’t crashSince the last update, the app is crashing 2 minutes into use...literally to the second. I currently have footage to edit using the app and I can’t even get started! Same thing on happens on multiple devices..Version: 3.1.23

Good app but needs three improvementsGot my osmo mobile 2 through Apple this week. Great gimbal like the app with what is intended for. Only three things need to be addressed. 1. Battery usage when the app is in use drains a lot of iPhoneX battery (only 2 weeks old phone) when 1080p 30fps used. 2. More frame rates for 4K and 1080p designed for modern phone capability. 3.manual control GUI for shooting Look forward to next update..Version: 3.1.27

Not as advertised. Only records in low resolution. The app is supposed to record 4K, as the new iPhones support that resolution; in fact, iPhones have recorded 4K video for several years. But this app only lets me shoot in 720P. It’s a big waste of a very expensive phone camera. Also, the exposure control bar is directly adjacent to the focus reticle, making it hard to adjust lighting. As an aside, other users are shooting 4K with Filmic Pro instead ($5.95 from the App Store), but that app isn’t completely compatible with the Osmo 2 gimbal (the Osmo control buttons mainly are disabled, except for power and the 4-way motor hat). Same with the built-in Apple Camera. The stabilizer works, but you must tap the phone screen to control it instead of using gimbal buttons. This is disappointing, since DJI in their marketing and videos implies you can take advantage of your phone’s maximum capabilities. Had I known the app and gimbal are crippled by lack of updates for current generation devices, I’d have bought another stabilizer. Not recommended..Version: 3.1.47

Nothing but crashes in the appTime to start working on some major fixes! I wouldn’t have bought the stabilizer if I knew it would crash after 5 seconds every time I open it. It’s garbage.Version: 3.1.23

Simply can’t connectSimply Can’t Connect to the iPhone anymore.. However you can still use the gimbal using the iPhone video, but you just cannot use the DJI go app..although you can still use edit within the App.. Just Another company like Kodak wrapped up in some fancy ideas that never come to anything.. Just get an app that actually works!! doesn’t destroy the battery or doesn’t just about set fire to your phone…. How hard can it be !!!.Version: 3.1.68

Buggy, frequent crashesI shoot corporate events and thought it would be great to get some stabilised footage to supplement the rest of our footage. Big mistake: DJI GO crashed and froze my iPhone 6s at least a dozen times on the night. I got the footage I wanted, but it was more trouble than it was worth. I won’t be going near this app until I hear it’s fixed. Strictly for social use, if at all. Update: I’ve had this product for a little over a year now and it is completely unusable, not to mention out of warranty. Never buy a DJI product if it requires a phone to function..Version: 3.1.23

Do not buy this temperamental camera. To many wifi-connection, install, re-install issues literally every time I use the Osmo. Cost me a job today, I cannot describe how angry I am with this. Also I have the Osmo mobile which has decided is going to take forever to charge the battery. I simply cannot recommend this brand to anyone sorry..Version: 3.1.54

Unable to use my expensive drone due to this horrible appSo at first I was able to use my drone, although it was a huge and unnecessary hassle to bypass everything they require you to do, but after roughly 4 flights, it requires me to take a quiz although I already understand what I need to know about drones and have the necessary skillset. Every time I open this app and connect to my drone, it goes straight to asking me to take the quiz, and I click continue then it just says “error not found” then I can’t click out of it after it says that and I have to exit the app, repeating the same cycle. I try disconnecting from my drone and connecting to a regular WiFi and other solutions that should be effective, yet none of them work and I’m just stuck not being able to use my drone because of this stupid design..Version: 3.1.65

Lost all my videos and photos from todayWhile taking an epic trip through Kauai, Hawaii I had yet to download my photos and videos from the Go app while using my Osmo Mobile. The app has now crashed and I am unable to view any of my photos or videos. Shame on you DJI for causing me to lose all these memories. I will be returning my Osmo as soon as I return to the mainland. I’m highly upset that I have lost these picture of my new born on the beach. I am an avid DJI user, Mavic and Phantom Pro 4. After this experience I will be looking to offload all products DJI. Make this right DJI. Otherwise I will become an avid proponent of all devices other than DJI. Don’t think I’m bluffing either, I have many followers who will watch my video review..Version: 3.1.23

App not workingMy iPhone X can’t connect the Bluetooth with osmo mobile 2.Version: 3.1.68

App Keeps CrashingIn the past couple of days when flying and updating the hardware, the app keeps crashing. It happens 4-5 times per flight and when updating happened around 10 times. Had to keep reconnecting to the drone and then to WiFi which took so much longer than a simple update should’ve.Version: 3.1.23

Software renders their devices uselessThe biggest problem with DJI is that their software makes it incredibly difficult to use their products. You have pretty much have bought a fancy brick, unless you sign in, and agree to their terms and update, their software and firmware, pair the devices again, and the calibrate, every time you try to use your device and now oh no! your battery is dying already, never mind the fact that you missed the magical shot you had just gotten an opportunity to take 15 minutes ago when you grabbed your gear! Also of not is the fact that the majority of these tasks require a signal, so if you’ve got a dedicated device as a monitor or camera (like an old iPhone) that doesn’t have cellular connection, or you’re out in the woods, on location, or just somewhere without a WiFi connection capability, you’re equipment is dead weight. I’m not really exaggerating, their software is such a hassle to use that it goes beyond frustrating and hinders your ability to actually use their devices. Whether it be the Osmo series, the drones, the ronins, you end up with the same experience, you’re spending more time trying to set it up every time you want to use it than you will actually using it..Version: 3.1.54

App not workingWhat the hell is going on? iPhone 12 Pro app crashes every 1 second loading up?????? Paid lots of money for this new, back your products and fix the app????.Version: 3.1.68

Most complicated device for electronics I have ever used.As soon as something unexpected occurs solving it takes hours if you’re lucky to fix. Documentation is very poor. Charging issues are monumental. I changed it to 100% and immediately it started loosing charge although I was only scanning battery charge on iPhone. It went from 100% to 29% in less than 40 minutes and that was after I reconnected the charger. Also the connection to the port was not solid. It was my 4th time using it in the 1 month I have had it. Very disappointed in such a highly recommend item. Looked for a phone no. to call for tech support on line to no avail. Chat was not worth the time spent and problem too detailed to email. I am hoping driving to Apple store will yield better results and satisfaction. I gave two stars because two of the earlier times I used it I did get good results. Now it can’t seem to charge or hold a charge and have barely owned it for a month with minimal use..Version: 3.1.54

App crashes constantlyI will try to limit my frustrations to just the mobile app... I have a Phantom 3 standard. The app on my iPhone 7 Plus crashes within seconds of launching it, every-time I try to use it. (I update the app and firmware whenever available) I am forced to use my iPad to view the camera which doesn’t fit on the remote bracket. Please fix this! Aside from that, there is always some minor issue when I try to fly. It’s a rare day when I power on, connect, and fly. DJI you have so much potential to be amazing, but the constant hiccups when trying to fly leaving me feeling sour and not wanting to use your product..Version: 3.1.38

Definately Needs ImprovementI just got my DJI Osmo Mobile stabilizer and DJI Go app for iPhone. App has nice, quality looking layout and recording options are great and cool. Very convenient and made specifically for DJI Osmo. This app does, however, have major glitches and kicking out of the app while recording. I don’t know why and how this happens. I re-downloaded the app, i re-connected my stabilizer, I turned off all other apps and it still gives me problems. This is a major thing this app needs improvement on: no glitches and no kicking out of the app. Please make an improvement update so that this would not happen. Thank you.Version: 3.1.23

Cannot use the Osmo Mobile 2😢Doesn’t connect to the app. Cannot use the Osmo Mo.Version: 3.1.68

Feels like an abandoned project."activation service error" "error 1106" when trying to pair an Osmo Mobile 2 to an iPhone 11 Pro Max. DJI support informed me that the iPhone 11 Pro Max is an unsupported device and even sent me a link to their product page. Guess Apple should re-evaluate selling the Osmo if it’s not compatible with any of Apple’s new phones or more likely iOS 13 in general..Version: 3.1.59

Requires updatingDJI osmo mobile no longer works. Tons of bugs and Bluetooth wont connect! Terrible to not continue to support your products..Version: 3.1.68

It’s flawed, but worksIf your app says to turn Bluetooth on, then try uninstalling & reinstalling. Give the app permission for everything (including Bluetooth) and your device should connect. You can then go to settings and limit what you share with the app..Version: 3.1.68

The PROS and CONSI just recently got my DJI osmo mobile 2 and absolutely love it!! I can’t believe I have been trying to take video without. Having used the app along with it I have some things I like and don’t like about it. PROS: - the panorama picture features are awesome!!! - motion time lapse is great! - adjustable zoom speed - adjustable joystick sensitivity CONS: - photo management, should be an option to store directly to native iPhone folder instead of app which then makes a copy to your phone taking up 2x space. - AE/AF Lock is reset after you stop recording, so if I want to continue making small mini clips I have to constantly try and set the exact same exposure and focus as all the other clips in order to blend into one large film. This is very frustrating when you have bright whites and you want all your whites to look the same in every mini clip. Improvement: fix the AE/AF lock so it stays until the user changes it..Version: 3.1.47

No longer works with Ozmo Mobile 2The app used to work great. It will no longer pair the Ozmo Mobile 2 with my iPhone 11. Other apps like FilmicPro are able to connect and work the same Ozmo Mobile 2. Please fix this DJI, this is not good enough..Version: 3.1.68

Do not buy DJI.So I bought the dji phantom 3 Professional about a year ago planning to do some real estate photography and normal hobby flying. I am a licensed pilot and have always been very careful with this drone to make sure I did not damage it in any way since my investment was nearly $1300 at the time.. so it has always flown flawlessly until the last dji app update forced me to agree to share all my info and flight data which is fine but now have no video feed. Been troubleshooting for days and re-installing firmware and trying different usb cords but nothing worked.. This whole time I have been so scared to crash the drone but now I realize I should have been scared of Dji’s software..Version: 3.1.38

GARBAGECant fly my drone with this app... it won’t let me update the imu it crash after 1%. I can’t believe i spent hundreds of dollar on my drone and i can’t even use it. Worse app.Version: 3.1.64

Useless since updateWas ok but latest update won’t progress beyond splash screen before crashing hence app now totally useless - deserves 0 stars. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. Drone now grounded until DJI fix, but looking at the number of 1 star reviews reporting constant app crashes I have low confidence. Autopilot or Litchi perhaps the only solution?.Version: 3.1.23

App drains battery lifeThis app is buggy and never remembers your camera settings, always defaulting back on each start up. But worst of all this app drains your battery like there is no tomorrow. I use this app for both Phantom & OsmoMobile2 and it can drain 40-50% in no time at all, especially on the gimbal. Having to manually save videos/photos to your device is also an extra, unnecessarily annoying step as well....Version: 3.1.42

Crashes phone and kills batteryUpdate Nov2018: Still stick by my original review below but with one more additional annoying development. Now sometimes when I open the app with the Osmo 2 already on the app crashes my entire phone forcing me to perform a hard reset holding both phone buttons. This is massively annoying when you are trying to shoot something quickly as something that should take a few seconds now takes a good two minutes to reset phone then re-open the app. Original review: Use this with my Osmo 2 gimbal (or I should say I used to) but the biggest problem with it is that it just obliterates my 6S battery. I’m luck if I get a max of 10 minutes recording with it. Really annoying because the app is actually really handy and the editing software is great for knocking out little quick videos. The developers really need to get an update out for this to resolve its various issues. Shame - could have been really good..Version: 3.1.47

JUNKJust re installed the app on my iPhone X and it crashes two seconds after opening it every time. Needs some major improvements! I can’t fly my phantom 3 at all because of this..Version: 3.1.64

Let downThese were amazing drones until they restricted our height dramatically i have the mavic pro i use to be able to film amazing videos from great heights now no matter what i do i cant change it from 500 metres dont waste your money here guys go for a drone that exceeds your expectations its sad that its happened because now nobody wants to buy my drone.Version: 3.1.24

Wow you guys are skidzDrone now completely lost! Due to poor app programming in Xcode 🤔 Do you hire school kids to dev DJI Go? Since the Darwin kernel logs don't lie about your app crashing mid flight then not executing again. Nice job everyone at DJI. Ripper way to get people using Litchi or other third party apps! Well... Unless your excited for your drone to disappear. Lammers coded this... Avoid this and buy Litchi!.Version: 3.1.42

Eats storageI use the Osmo with this app for real estate video tours. Even after deleting the video clips after I no longer need them, the storage in “Documents and Data” keeps accumulating. I’m now up to 20GB within the app despite almost no videos there! They need to sort this! Apparently the only way to do this is to delete the entire app and reinstall. Hardly a proper solution..Version: 3.1.66

DJI Osmo Mobile 2 - BEWAREI’ve used the Osmo 2 for a total of 10 minutes, now on my iPhone 7 Plus it won’t tilt, when it DOES tilt it is not a result of my input on the button, it just rapidly ON ITS OWN VOLITION, flips the phone back and forth, banging the phone like it’s possessed. I downloaded this app to my old iPhone 6 to see if the Osmo 2 would work with it. Not only does it behave the same way, but this app doesn’t even have the Osmo Mobile 2 in the list of devices for the iPhone 6 to connect to, nor does its WiFi signal show up to connect to. If I run the app on my iPhone 7 Plus the Osmo Mobile 2 is listed. Why isn’t it listed in the same app when running it on an iPhone 6? This page says “works with this iPhone” yet it does not. Buyer beware..Version: 3.1.42

Privacy nightmareSold my Inspire 1 because DJI are turning there ecosystem into a nanny walled garden. Built my own with Arduino board and open source avionics so I am free of DJI monitoring and meddling. Pain trying to clear my Inspire 1 of data, example of how thoughtless DJI are. Had to spent hours overwriting built in logs with static non-gps boot cycles because DJI provides no means to delete these manually. DJI is no longer a trusted platform for data. GDPR just round the corner as well!.Version: 3.1.34

Not suited for its purposeI’m incredibly frustrated with this app - it’s made for drones and the gymbal is a random add on. Why should my privacy be compromised with mandatory geo location if I’m using just the gymbal? That’s completely unacceptable and I would never have bought the product had I known. Also the app is glitchy..Version: 3.1.42

Constant crashesThis app used to be solid as a rock. What happened?! I thought I’d captured an incredible sunset time lapse using my Osmo Mobile last night but after it finished recording the app promptly crashed. Then it kept crashing every time I tried to access my media to see if the time lapse had saved. Had to restart my iPhone to get it to open again only to find I’d lost the entire 2 hours! Not good enough. I’ll be sticking to competitors apps from now on..Version: 3.1.23

Doesn’t even deserve 1 starDJI Go not compatible with iPhone x. Called DJI support in UK and spoke with a woman who can barley speak English- not wishing to come across racist bit it’s bloody near impossible to have conversation when the other person on the phone can’t comprehend what your trying to explain. Cut a long story short, DJI still haven’t updated their software despite the I-Phone x being related back in November. Absolutely terrible. Can’t figure out why Apple are even stocking this shoddy piece of c#@p. DONT PURCHASE THE OSMO!!.Version: 3.1.24

Problem submission and ease of use.Tried to submit a bug report from the app. I filled everything out that pertained to me and my product as best as I could. Tried to select submit, and nothing. It seemed that it wouldn’t allow me to submit because I didn’t fill out all “fields”. Here’s the problem, some of the fields deal with flight issues. I don’t have a flying device. I use my product only with my phone, not drone work. How can I get help if I can’t let you know I have an issue. I also can’t find a phone number to call..Version: 3.1.59

Goodbye DJIUpdate came with endless updated contract and gives them the full right to give unspecified and unlimited personal info away and do anything they like with it. There are no limits. Latest update fails to recognize Bluetooth and says it’s not on, when it is - with device connected. Now also requires unlimited access to your info too and will not work without signing in so they know who u are. DJI is the second Chinese manufacturer that doing this in one week. So goodbye DJI..Version: 3.1.68

Just disappointedWell. I had high hopes for this but sadly. The instructions weren’t clear enough. I find the app useless. All you guys had to do was make it in black and white. Just having blue tooth on would be enough. I can’t get the thing to work so I’m VERY disappointed. Spent a whole week trying to get it running but it just doesn’t work.Version: 3.1.47

Not keeping up with IOS ChangesOk, been a frustrating few months. First, I started getting CPU Fully Loaded error messages. I thought it was the GO update. Then we here about Apple throttling down older devices so the batteries would last longer. I started using an iPad Pro and the problem went away. The latest update from Apple, IOS 11.2.1 seems to have created yet another issue. Now Go will connect to the controller and aircraft, I get full telemetry, but can’t update the aircraft or make any changes. I found an old iPhone 5 that is running IOS 10.3 with GO app version 3.1.6 and everything works fine again. Wow..Version: 3.1.23

BEWARE: misleading clear video cache function will delete all your videos!Ran out of storage on my phone so tried to delete some unwanted videos with large file size in the app’s editor just to hope to free up some space. The storage usage for DJI Osmo did not seem to reduce at all. Found this clear video cache function and thought it could be the right one to free up space used by deleted videos just as the label said. Worst luck ever, it deleted not only the cache, but all my precious videos without any backup. Tried bunches of IOS file recovery tools without any luck. So beware of this function!.Version: 3.1.42

Needs workThe app is well designed visually but isn’t very robust. The app crashes often whether downloading or deleting videos. Frustrating to use..Version: 3.1.54

Promises much, but mostly delivers frustration. When it works it’s great, but getting my iPhone 7+ to connect to my Osmo2 is a laborious process... after which time the app works for a while but then it decides to ignore the record button on the Osmo2 completely. Deleting video files within the app is a pain as selecting any more than 2 at a time crashes the app, and yep every single time. Also, I have deleted images and videos multiple times only to then import the files to my desktop machine and sure enough they are there again. So with each new batch of video I import I have to re-re-re-delete every other video I have ever taken, yet again. I have gone through settings, cleared caches, done everything that makes sense in efforts to delete or reset the app, but nothing seems to work. Also, spelling!! When saving burst images can you please update the default filename to ‘burst’ and not ‘brust’. This app could be great, but if DJI can’t develop a stable app for their simplest in-hand product then how can i trust they’ll get it right for an expensive drone flying a mile offshore? I hope DJI read these reviews as I look forward to seeing these things sorted. Like I said, it could be a great app, but for now I’d be looking elsewhere. Thanks, Ben.Version: 3.1.54

Bluetooth FailBeen using Osmo Pro 2 for years, but now it won’t connect to Bluetooth. Attempted on two different phones and gets the same error to turn on Bluetooth. Osmo is paired with phone, but app just says connect via Bluetooth settings. Extremely frustrating and makes Osmo useless..Version: 3.1.68

Osmo Pro no displayPlease update this app to work properly with iOS 14 and Osmo Pro. The display within the app is extremely unreliable. Disappointed with DJI abandoning effort on much of their hardware..Version: 3.1.66

Osmo Mobile 2Firstly I don’t really understand why DJI have two apps for similar products. I’m using the App with the Osmo Mobile 2 and it’s not great. It does crash every now and then (using 7+ and X). The app doesn’t support the features of video out of the device, i.e. you can’t use all the resolutions of the X. I have had issues where I can’t see my pictures and transfer them, so I have to use iTunes to pull them off the phone?!.Version: 3.1.28

Great Gimbal, TERRIBLE App!My family just spent a week in San Diego having a blast and getting some amazing videos captured on the Osmo Mobile 2 and my iPhone 8 Plus. On the first day, I noticed that the video files stayed inside the DJI app. So I manually moved them over to my local device media library. Very time-consuming. I decided, ok no big deal. I’ll just deal with offloading the videos when I get back from the trip. Well, here’s where the DJI GO APP failed miserably for me. We’re back home ready to view all the amazing videos we took, I click on the app and it wouldn’t open. I do it a second and third time. I finally restart my phone. It still won’t open. So I decide to uninstall and reinstall the app and sign back into my account where (I should have access to my video library.) NOPE! No videos. All gone. All of my videos stuck in the app were held hostage because I couldn’t open the app. When I reinstalled the app, it apparently deleted all my video files as well! They make you sign up for a DJI account but don’t give cloud backup! So I lost everything. MY RECOMMENDATION: Use the Osmo gimbal WITHOUT the DJI GO app. Use your native camera/video app or use Filmic pro or ProMovie..Version: 3.1.42

UnusableKeeping original below, but after tears of use I have to update. The software is no longer usable with Osmo mobile with iPhone 12 from what I can tell. I’ve submitted a support request, but this has gone from useless to worthless. Don’t buy DJI. Original: I'm revising this review because I learned where the photos/videos are located. Select 'Connect with device' (Yes, for some reason this accesses the camera roll when not connected) > 'Camera' > library icon (camera roll). This loads the camera and the camera roll is in the standard location when using the gimbal. I'm using this app with the osmo mobile. For controlling a few specialized shots, it is great. If you can get the same shot some other way, DO IT! I cannot suggest using it to for primary capturing of video and images. If you are running low on space you will have to remove other data from your phone to be able to export and access your content in other apps, which gets very challenging for long shots. My biggest complaint is that my battery last less than half as long as the native iPhone camera app with no apparent benefit for general recording. Like I said, it has some neat things you can do with beautification, motion time lapse, long exposure, and of course is necessary for calibration of the gimbal. I will use it for that, but never again as the main video capture application. It is just too inefficient and a small liability for the videos and pictures recorded with it..Version: 3.1.68

Horrible appI’ve been using this app with the DJI osmo 2. Two days ago I connected my mavic pro to take a flight. Now, my osmo two won’t connect using the app. There is no easy way to connect between devices. Disappointed with the lack of support from DJI..Version: 3.1.62

Camera ViewSince this update I am unable to enter camera view. Where I would normally select camera view, it says “how to connect”, select it and follow the instructions simply returns you to the same point. The app is simply useless. The aircraft can be flown, but with no camera view there isn’t much point. I have tried contacting Dji without success..Version: 3.1.67

Don’t buy if you have iPhone XBaffling that they haven’t configured it for iPhone X, considering DJI have nearly all their products in Apple Stores to not have a £260 accessory working with a flagship phone is ridiculous. It loses connection after about 15 seconds of usage. I contacted DJI via Twitter for a response and was told it works with some phones and not with others and to just wait for a fix with no ETA as to how long this would take. If you have a X and want stabilised video pass on this..Version: 3.1.23

Something wrongSince I bought DJI osmo mobile few days ago, every time I took video with this app my battery on my IPhone 6s always dry up quickly in 5 minutes become 50%. When I used ordinary video recording, all is normal. Team support please fix this app or will be getting worse..Version: 3.1.23

Went from amazing to super frustrating.Don't fly very often, so I always do latest software and firmware updates for the controller, drone, app and batteries before I fly. Bad move. My P3P flew like a dream the last time I flew it about 6 months ago no prob. Got it out 4 days ago. Updated. Did a full preflight check (I am a licensed pilot) and no video signal. It says detecting strong interference. I move to another location 15 miles away, same deal. Move to another location 10 miles from that. No change. Been to all the forums, troubleshooting for days and am very frustrated. All three places could always fly far with no video issues, now it won't connect a video feed from 2 feet away on the ground. I am going to give DJI the Benefit of the doubt and hope they realize the problem they must have caused (I've read everyone else's angry reviews) and fixes it soon. I'll update my review then. Till then, I'm looking into other products..Version: 3.1.18

Poor customer serviceThe controls/buttons in the app are small and take several attempts when trying to make adjustments even while using a larger plus size iPhone. Lack of support for current phone models seems to be a complete lack of priority, can’t record 4k 60fps on new hardware using the osmo mobile and 8plus.Version: 3.1.22

DJI APP Mid-flight new popup blocker.I was using my DJI APP on my Job in Class-D airspace. A pop up from DJI came up on screen saying I was In Class D airspace and would I take responsibility for that, It took up my whole screen in Black and Dark Blue, I could not find how to make it go away so I immediately brought my inspire 1 drone down! landing on pump house roof thinking it safe but not being able to see through DJI camera on DJI App it proceeded to slide slowly off shingles into golf course pond! Damaging drone. Later I found out from other DJI pilots they also had same problem, the solution was a spec in a spec Dark Blue dot yes or no ?It was too dark and blended in to entire screen color with a spec dot to indicate yes or no with out direction. I took a screen shot of the pop up if anyone wants to see it. I did have clearance to fly and emailed my clearance to them prior to flight. I’m very unhappy. Very very. Contact me for questions..Version: 3.1.38

GlitchyAs others have stated, app eats battery and crashes phone, and gets very hot, app is very glitchy and you take a chance on all the features working at any one time, active tracking has never worked on my phone, it is running iOS 10.3, maybe that is the problem but app clearly states it will work on iOS 10 and upwards, perhaps this can be remedied but I doubt if developers or even DJI read these reviews, I can’t afford to dump it so I am forced to put up with it, got to admit though that when it works fully, which is rare, it does produce some stunning cinematic footage even from an old iPhone 5s, mind you it doesn’t work fully on my iPhone 8 either, the updated go4 is just as bad, sorry dji i’m very disappointed..Version: 3.1.54

Okay but...This app works reasonably well but seriously DJI why do I have to go through the pointless process of creating an account just so I can use the device? (Osmo for iPhone) In this day when people such as yourselves are being hacked & user ids stolen why do you need this info? Seriously. I can use the device via FilmicPro without the same nonsense so I’ll stick to that thanks..Version: 3.1.47

Bluetooth connect but app wont work!Hey just updated the app and now my osmo 2 wont work! Can't fly won't fly!Literally just bought the p3s ( phantom 3 standard) flew it at home for 2 minutes to check it was working. Took it on holiday. 4 minute flight went amazingly. Now it says "rc connected, connect the aircraft".. It won't connect the aircraft, I've tried relinking the rc to the aircraft - no joy. Aircraft is not recognised. The rc and the aircraft are connected because if I pull the triggers on the remote diagonally the aircraft will power up for flight. I get no app support for GPS, return home mode, camera function etc It just says disconnected in the app. It's useless at the moment without the app, have no idea how to get it working. Left frustrated. Firmware update with bugs?.Version: 3.1.59

Awful appNot only does this app crash constantly but now they went and added a watermark to the videos you make in the app. I didn't think it could get worse but it did. I have a hard time thinking that other gimbal companies can have apps as bad or worse than dji. I could deal with the crashing to not write a review but the watermark crossed the line on being acceptable in dealing with this crap. Edit: after writing this I went back in to see if I create my own video in it if it would water mark that as well and sure enough it does. Talk about complete crap..Version: 3.1.68

Doesn’t openThis app is not even worth the one star I’m forced to give it. It never makes it past the opening title screen, crashes every single time without fail. So many functions of the Osmo Mobile that are promised upon purchase are made inaccessible by this joke of an app. How it is still permitted to exist on the App Store is beyond me..Version: 3.1.23

Omso2: Just AwefulThe Osmo 2 was really hyped up and I fell for it hook line and sinker. I bought it and downloaded this app hoping to experience a great product. The osmo 2 made a horrible rattling sound when I attempted to balance my iPhone X vertically. I followed all of the instructions and video tutorials. I contacted customer service and that’s where things went horribly wrong. They instructed me to follow the manual and after I advised them of all of my troubleshooting steps it was like I didn’t say anything and they advised me to repeat the same steps. After three emails and no progress I advised the customer service rep I was going to return the product as i could not use it. I was instructed to take it to a service center (after owning it for four days) and they would repair the unit. It was literally like I was speaking English and they were unable to understand anything I said. I took the Osmo2 back and uninstalled the app and I’m so happy I did. Horrible app, horrible product and horrible customer service— just horrible!.Version: 3.1.31

Junk with poor EnglishHow hard can it be to hire someone that understands and can knows correct English grammar to proof read and correct the errors in the app? Not only that it just doesn’t work, won’t connect as it should via Bluetooth, the Forgot Password option doesn’t work even though an account has been made. Why do I even need an account to connect a device to a piece of hardware? I’m returning the damn thing and buying a basic phone gimbal that works..Version: 3.1.68

To anyone having Bluetooth issuesThe software is a pain … but I got it working after some fiddling. Here are the steps I recommend to get rid of the Bluetooth issue - 1. Be sure you only have one device you’re trying to connect. If you connected an older phone and then try to pair with a new phone and the unit senses the older phone is on, it will not pair. 2. Reset your password - the app only seems to work if you’re logged in. If you need to reset your password, the email will be in Chinese. Use Google translate and it’s basically two steps involving entering your email on the website (click the email link to get there) and then enter the new password twice on the next screen. You should see a green circle and arrow on the website if it takes. 3. Finally, I recommend fully deleting the app on your phone and then reinstalling. Go through the set up and give the app access to your camera, gps and blue tooth. Use the new login password and approve all the prompts. If you start fresh, the blue tooth error should be gone and you should see a list of devices on the app which you can then connect to. My issue, like many of you, is that I didn’t use the app for like 6 months and when I tried to open it, the Bluetooth error kept coming up. Refresh the app, reauthorize the app permissions on your phone and you should be back in business. Good luck … not a great app..Version: 3.1.68

Crashing phone and bad for the FrenchI see from other reviews that people are suffering from crashing phones and huge drainage of batteries. I am afraid I have to confirm this as it happens to me a lot. I am on an iPhone 6S with latest ISO. Also I have spent hours with French friend trying to get his Osmo 2 gimbal working and finally discovered that it will only work correctly if the language is set to English. The auto calibration fails when the app is working in French; I am sure you are not trying to be racist but it certainly felt like it. I have the original Osmo gimbal and having compared it with the 2 I’ll stick with earlier version. If feels flimsy and the loss of the rear trigger is a great shame. The multifunctional power button is nowhere as good..Version: 3.1.62

Still no update on using the second lensSo this feature has been requested for quite a while, couple of times by me too, and it obviously is an important feature for the users but DJI doesn’t seem to do anything about it. We should be able to use the iPhone’s second lens so we can capture zoomed in footage but when will DJI update the app with this? It surely is not a time consuming feature to develop..Version: 3.1.54

Ok but needs improvingI rarely leave a review but when you spend enough money on the hardware you expect the software to compliment it. The app is good when it works but it has crashed multiple times when filming, doing a motion time lapse, editing and just watching clips back. So basically everything the app does. It needs more bug fixes as it has the potential to be an amazing app and encouragement to buy more DJI products. I would like to be able to use an external Bluetooth mic which should be difficult but that is only a small issue..Version: 3.1.42

App crash on Pano modeDear DJI The App is crashing when creating Pano picture, I hope this issue can be fixed very soon..Version: 3.1.67

Terrible cumbersome app and supportThe app is a chore to use. The only interaction with the Mobile 2 is the camera and their store page. The problem is that I’m looking for a firmware update but there’s nothing to indicate if there’s a new one or not. The gimbal already has issues connecting with my phone so I don’t rely on apps to “let me know”. No thanks I’d rather have an option to check for an update or at least show that my firmware is up to date when I check it. Of course to check the firmware version I have to actually be in camera mode where the gimbal is moving while I try to manipulate the mess on the screen. There’s no option to stop the gimbal without turning it off which if it’s off, it’s not connected and the app doesn’t give any options in that case. Also what’s up with a separate app for the models. Why is there a version for one half of your catalog and a different one for the other half? Put it all in one app and allow customers to use the newer app cause we all know you aren’t doing anything with this one anymore. It says there’s updates but it’s largely the same mess it was when I first got it..Version: 3.1.68

Confusing web siteThe DJI site is really confusing. I find that I’m recording at a higher res. Than I want. I just want 1920x1080 and I keep getting double that. When transferring via QuickTime, the movie stutters and jumps, yet on my iPad, the video cache seems to work smoothly. The site needs reworking so that you can find instructions more easily instead of have to work through a host of useless hotspots..Version: 3.1.54

CompleteY Useless ProductThe video feed from this app is so choppy it makes it impossible to pan follow with moving objects, also the screen often freezes for 3 or 4 seconds, potentially a very dangerous piece of software. DJI should know better than to produce rubbish like this, it used to work ok then suddenly didn’t. It reminds me of the iPhone firmware issues with Apple that was recently in the news, caught with pants down or what!!!!.Version: 3.1.42

Dead app.No longer works with multiple DJI products. Doesn’t connect, crashes, even when it worked in the last it didn’t control the Osmo properly. Disappointing as it cripples many of their products..Version: 3.1.68

OSMO, King of Crashes, beware before buying the deviceDevelopers please invest in making this very cool app actually work! It literally crashes 100% of the time in less than 21 seconds, more like in the 8 second range. The only thing it does correctly is calibration and that is easy, provided the app will stay open long enough to start the process. I cannot give this review on the app on my great working iPhone 7 as it will crash. I have deleted the app and reinstalled twice, no successful resolution. I bought one for my adult son as well and same experiences for him as well. The Apple video and photo will work great, but the few times the app did work, it was amazing smooth. So team........a few 100,000 or more are counting on you. Thanks for making a cool product, now make it a joy and something we can use. BT California..Version: 3.1.23

Beyond terrible – fraudulentThis review concerns the DJI GO app for Osmo Mobile 2. At the time of this writing, the Mobile 2 is a discontinued device. I bought mine less than two years ago. It’s in perfect condition, and in fact works very well as a camera stabilizer, which is what it does. But the hardware is absolutely useless, or very close to it, without this app. And although it’s here or the app store, it doesn’t work with my phone and device any longer, though it did. before I get further into this, the point of this review is to talk about the way that DJI lets customers down. If you like a company that makes the easiest way to deal with their non-functioning products to fill up landfills with perfectly functional devices that cost over $100 and have basically zero use, because they neglect key link in the chain, by all means go with DJI. Expect to be screwed, because they will, based on my experience. I say in the title this is fraudulent, and I want to explain what I mean. It makes no difference to me how good your hardware is, if the software won’t let me use it, or won’t let me use the key features that I bought it for. It’s like selling someone a car, and neglecting to mention that the gas tank is made of papier-mâché, and will simply stop holding gas after a few miles of driving. Sure, it’s a car, but if the thing it’s completely dependent on is going to no longer function, AND there’s no fix, AND they continue to provide the completely useless software, then that constitutes a grossly unfair way to treat customers. It’s not as though I’m expecting upgrades. I just want the damn this to function. The thing that doesn’t work is that when I try to connect bluetooth between the iPhone and the device, the software can’t see that the connection is made, and refuses to pen the part of the app that allows you to actually access the camera. This functioned, while the device was a current product. Now, it doesn’t. What would one reasonably conclude? Deleting and reinstalling the app didn’t help. Restarts didn’t help. No firmware updates exist, or at least are accessible, so that route is closed. I use my unit to work with kids in severely underprivileged areas, or at least I did, in one of the South East Asia’s poorest countries. It was a stretch to get the budget to buy this thing, and when we get stuff, we have to take care of it, and we have to make it last. This company is just too clearly at the core of the problem of corporations taking a slave-master attitude towards their customers. You have no recourse, you have no help. In fact, the button that you finally get to when searching their support site appears to not even be connected: clicking it repeatedly does nothing. The company makes ridiculous demands that you register, just to configure your device, not even to use it, or store data. And when the app is first loaded, there’s an opt-in screen that will only let you proceed if you agree to basically expose tons of location data to them. So if you value your privacy, and after you’ve paid a lot of money for the device, then you get to find out that your can’t use it except under what most reasonable people would see as onerous, one-sided, non-optional conditions. Again, fraudulent to represent that you’re selling a product for use, and only afterwards reveal tha that use is conditional on these kinds of demands to share personal data, most especially location data. Is there any chance a company that provides such an unbelievably mediocre, even degrading user experience would change their ways, and start treating customers reasonably? I very much doubt it. Honestly, the unit I have is really a great piece of engineering – but only the unit in my memory, back when this company allowed me to use it. Now they’re effectively forcing me to throw it away, and it would seem, deliberately providing sabotaged software to enforce that. I think it’s terrible, and I think this company should be deeply ashamed of its cynical practices. I strongly urge you to think twice before buying anything from DJI, based on my experiences..Version: 3.1.68

Can use the appThe app won’t let me create a log in. You enter a password and it doesn’t work. No matter how many password combinations I’ve tried it won’t create a log in?.Version: 3.1.68

Broken appDoesn't work.Version: 3.1.42

Configure Your Osmo, and Drop This AppDownloaded this app as it was necessary to configure my new DJI Osmo mobile 2. After doing my first film shoot, I went to export the videos and photos. Immediately I noticed a plethora of issues. 1. No Geotagging: Seriously, why? It's not hard, I already granted the app access to my location, is it really that hard to add location data to video? 2. Poor Video Management: Why not just store it directly to the iPhone? If it's an IOS restriction I understand, but exporting videos is cumbersome and annoying. Plus it takes up additional space. 3. No Access to 4k60fps: My iPhone Xs Max records at 4k60fps. Why doesn't this app? 4. EXPORTED SLOW MOTION IS BROKEN!!!: This is probably my biggest pet peeve yet about this app. For God knows what reason, exporting a slow motion video to your photo library causes a doubling of the frames. Meaning if you had a slow motion video that lasted 15 seconds, that same video now lasts 30 seconds. Other than throwing your video in another app, there's no way to speed these videos up. 5. The Movie Creation Experience: DJI has included a video editing application built into this app. It's complete trash. The preview doesn't display slowmo, the exported video doesn't even play at the same speed. I don't understand how they messed this up. It will take a serious overhaul for me to continue to use this app. Until then, I'll stick with the stock photo app and Filmic Pro..Version: 3.1.54

Bluetooth connectionWhy it is very difficult to connect, especially on pairing, it takes forever before the osmomobile will be detect on phone, and once detected it cannot be connected because it takes too long. Very disappointed on the app..Version: 3.1.42

Broken software teamI’m sure they pulled the brightest minds behind Internet Explorer to build this flaming hot mess of an app, which I admit might be an unfair review of all the app’s potential, except I can’t even get it to work with my Osmo, which USED to work until the dev in their infinite wisdom decided to break what was working. My Bluetooth sees it. My iOS even sees my Osmo as paired. But the App refuses to believe my Bluetooth is turned on and literally won’t let me do anything except retrigger the prompt to make sure my Bluetooth is on. I am quite literally never ever purchasing a DJI anything again. As others have mentioned, they attempt to lock you into their crap ecosystem and then deliver absolutely horrendous user experiences. Never again..Version: 3.1.68

DJI standard app not workingRecently I’ve updated my iPhone X system software for the latest iOS14.3. Now I can’t connect my DJI drone to my phone. Looks like new iOS not working with dgi app. So app developer has to look in to this. Cause my drone now useless. It’s still connecting the old phones with old iOS..Version: 3.1.67

Great first effort!Fantastic quadcopter and excellent software package. Would get 4 stars if there was an export function for the flight route to KML or GPX and 5 stars if it had a waypoint navigation system built in. Still, a great first effort!.Version: 1.0.2

Disappointed by Changes and SupportI did so much research and found so much support behind the DJI Osmo Mobile, warranting me asking for it as a gift. I took it with me to Spain and other trips through March 2018, while taking many great photos/videos. It’s now June 2018 and I can no longer take great panorama photos because now you only get 2 options that don’t even come out different. Now, I feel like I should just take my chances using my regular iPhone panorama while my phones on the Osmo. I tried reach support and no one could help me understand why or if there even was a change. I’ve tried contacting in multiple different formats, with each to no avail. I’m now left with a half-as-optimal photo machine that I don’t want my girlfriend feeling disappointed about buying..Version: 3.1.38

Disappointed in DJII recently purchased the phantom and was very excited. The standards of DJI and reputation are what persuaded me in the initial purchase. Boy was I wrong. I have had the luxury of flying with the app connected without problems. Approx third time that I tried to load the app it would only stay connected for a minute or so. I have deleted and reinstalled this app twice. Nothing, now it won't even open. Called customer service and after a lengthy wait time it was decided that my device (iPhone 6) was the culprit. Wrong! I sent the phone information repair and it was giving a clean bill of health. Nothing was even wrong with my device. Thanks DJI rep! Now what any suggestions. Do I return my phantom. Or is there light at the end of the tunnel,,,,HELP HELP HELP.Version: 3.1.23

Changes photo datesFrustrating app that needlessly wastes your time: 1. All media is stored inside the app without the option to save into the Camera roll by default. No, I don’t want to use the DJI Editor - it’s not very good. 2. To download the media you have to select them one by one for download. Too bad if you’ve taken hundreds of shots on a holiday. There goes hours of my life I won’t get back. 3. Media date stamps are changed to the current date upon download to the Camera Roll. What the!? The bug alone makes the app worthless. For a company that is meant to be serving the needs of photographers, DJI seem to be out of touch with basic media management needs..Version: 3.1.34

App crashesCan’t even open the app! Please update soon..Version: 3.1.66

Embarrassing....Embarrassing app for such a professional company. Hang your heads in shame and fire the developer..Version: 3.1.22

Works great when it works. You’d think that with today’s Bluetooth technology, the Osmo 2 would pair easier. There’s no way to reset the whole system if there’s a problem. Got a new phone? Better sacrifice your old one to the gods before trying to hook up. This thing wants to mate for life with your your old faithful . You can be fully connected with your phone and DJI GO will still ghost you. You don’t have any choice but to use this app so Good luck. Fix your pairing, DJI. Please!.Version: 3.1.68

Doesn’t workI have the osmo mobile. App just says turn on bt and try again. Well obviously it BT already on, and iPhone settings say some is connected. Power cycle every thing. Nothing works. Two different phones. Hopeless sorry. Log onto the website and it tries to sell you a new device. I think not. Was a lovely idea when it worked..Version: 3.1.68

Doesn’t pair with iPhoneWhy is this app not working with iPhone anymore? This is a ridiculous way of forcing people to update. I have barely used my OSMO3 and I can’t even try to use it now anymore Can you please do something about that?.Version: 3.1.68

We need this..please make it better. This is not a bad apps..but its got some errors, trying to save the new video (its been edited and generated)to the iphone storage but it save the old one, and also when i trasfer to the laptop the video quality is not good..please fix and make it better..!! Thank you..Version: 3.1.23

Hardware is only as good as the software that controls itI’ve had my Osmo Mobile 2 for a number of years and various iPhones. The app is absolutely rubbish and often doesn’t connect or control my camera. None of the advertised features have been available to me simply because this app either crashes, doesn’t connect, or just stops respony to tapping of buttons or icons. Do not buy their hardware. It won’t work..Version: 3.1.68

Bricked my Phantom 3 AdvancedDji makes it too difficult to update firmware on these drones and controllers. I went to fly my drone the other day and it said a firmware upgrade needed to be installed on my drone and controller. I had to use this app to update the firmware on my controller. After I clicked update it downloaded the firmware without any issues. Then it began to install it. It was stuck at 0% for about 8 mins and then suddenly said firmware update was complete. After I updated my drone using a sd card and went to turn on my controller and drone to start flying, my controller would not turn on. No lights, no sounds, nothing. I tried plugging into charger, and still no lights. Now I can’t fly because this firmware bricked my controller. It said it was successfully installed, but now my drone does not communicate with the remote. I am unable to get the “camera view” button to show to try to install the firmware again. All it has is a button that says “how to connect”. The firmware update process has too many bugs and it ruins your drone. My drone and controller were perfectly fine until this last update. Now it’s a expensive paper weight..Version: 3.1.54

Deletes my PicturesKeeps deleting all my pics on the app, done this 3 times now and only had the thing a week. Deleted app and reinstalled it twice. Still same problem. Also brought a Mavic Pro at the same time, had a travel pack with it. Out of the 3 batteries that came with it 2 did not work. So had to spend a day driving around changing them. Spent around 5 hours chatting with dji support. Honestly these are a bunch of cowboys. Never had a problem with its rival. Wish I could add pictures to this review so you could see my chat history with support, they ask the same question 3 times because they are trying to talk to too many customers at once. What does that tell you?? It tells you lots of problems with dji products. If I knew where the guys that owned the company lived I would get a flight there and throw the crap through their window..Version: 3.1.15

Bluetooth Connection needs better optionsWhen I use this app with my iPhone 11 Pro the gimbal will connect easily but when I switch to my older iPhone 6 to save storage space there is no connectivity unless I turn off Bluetooth to the iPhone 11 Pro.. The app seems to be selecting the newer phone as a primary device instead of letting the me (the user)determine which phone to use with the gimbal it would be nice if toggling the Bluetooth was not the only way to switch phones. I use my iPhone 6 to save storage space on my 11 Pro and to have creative vintage visuals from the older iPhone camera system..Version: 3.1.64

Active Track is not focusingPlease update the app for the Active Track is not working properly. It won't focus on the subject and will cause abnormal swinging of the gimbal..Version: 3.1.60

Horrible!I don’t know what I’ve gotten myself into here except a really expensive paperweight! By the time I purchased my p3se a few extra batteries and various other accessories, I’ve got over a $1000 in this thing and I am less than pleased! The first couple of flights were great and then the video feed started going haywire. Now, it won’t stay connected to the camera and if it is connected it’s super pixelated and there’s a 5-25 second lapse at times. It’s so bad that it isn’t even safe to fly. I’ve checked all of the forums, done all the updates and recommended fixes I could find, and it’s still brown and murky! And by that, I mean a stinky pile of poo!!.Version: 3.1.22

Be very careful if you do buy a dji productGot the Osmo Mobile as a gift and yes the physical product gives fantastic results. The major problem is that during the installation and registration period you may unwittingly agree to sharing to Skypixel. Be warned that this means everything that you film and then edit “in-house” within the app will be automatically uploaded to the public domain of a Chinese company. There appears to be no way to reverse this. So every video of your children will end up on-line! I am about to delete my registration and try using different details as though it’s a completely new registration. Failing that I shall be contacting Apple direct. Will keep you posted..Version: 3.1.23

Editing SoftwareI liked using the software to edit videos but at the moment it just does not seem to work. On my 12.9 iPad Pro when I come to add a title I am unable to change the font, the colour or the size! No transition either. Another gripe, I hate the video playing in editing mode. The play/pause has to be used to stop the video..Version: 3.1.59
