I got as far as chapter 4 but am now unable to continue playing which, considering the price tag, is unforgivable. Whilst the developers have noted that they are addressing this, it's been 7 months since that message with no update.A shame as its a good game. ✓ UnplayableUnfortunately, there is a bug thanks to the new iOS 13 update that makes playing this game impossible. All of the game’s controls are still located in their proper place on the screen, but the actual game is being displayed half way down the screen instead of in the center. What I mean is the top half of the screen is black while the bottom half of the screen displays the top half of the game. It really is a shame because I was 2/3s of the way through the game when I updated my phone. In my naivety, I deleted the app and reinstalled it to no avail. What’s worse, the game’s data saves locally on your phone which means my previous save got wiped when I uninstalled the app. I thought this might happen, but I decided to try regardless because the game is so good that I’m perfectly willing to start over from scratch and play it all again from the beginning. Unfortunately, I sacrificed my save for nothing. The glitch persisted, cementing this $20 purchase as a waste of money. I really hope SE fixes this game. Now the game crashes on selecting a save or even trying a new game. I've contacted square enix support on this issue and sent in proof of the crash. They told me they are currently looking into it but that I might not get a desirable solution to my problem. It's been 3 weeks and still the game is unplayable they refuse to reimburse me. Unlike other game companies they are well aware of the issue and refuse to take the game off the App Store to prevent other unsuspecting people from paying for a unplayable game.
