✓ Relies too much on micro transactionsDownloaded this game and bought all the addons as well as a few stars, as i liked it and felt like a very fair f2p game, and wanted to offer my support to the devs. However, this used to be a better game then, but now after reaching lvl 4 with most upgrades, the requirements feel off putting, like they rely heavily on micro transactions. Especially with that stupid timer, that’s skippable if you pay with stars, and costs quite a lot depending on the upgrade lvl. So you either grind like an idiot for a few hours or pay like a moron as there’s no realistic way of earning enough by playing. 2/5 for what used to be a 5/5..Version: 1.80
✓ Really hard!!Fantastic game but this game is really hard to complete. I haven’t completed all the sub levels yet just done enough to open a new level, I’m on level 9 and it’s just impossible to get any further unless I buy more and more stars to progress, but I suppose this is what the developers want us to do??? (Scam) I will delete as its frustrating that I keep crashing out with not enough stars even though I’ve purchased stars many times!!.Version: 1.96

✓ Compared to console version it’s lacking.Pretty identical to console version except for “pay to win” micro transactions. Lifting your thumb/finger slows gameplay and is the only way to activate laser, shield, and mega bomb...very annoying. If pause and power ups were on the screen to the side or in the corners or maybe even update the settings to where you can actually customize the game to your liking it would improve quality of life. I also feel as though movement speed should be adjusted since you drag your finger instead of move a thumb stick. One control scheme your thumb/finger gets in the way of visuals causing untouched challenge to be frustrating at times. The other control scheme doesn’t work well with the slowdown upon lifted thumb. Overall great time killer as most mobile games are but also lacking as most mobile games are..Version: 1.90
✓ Controls are unworkable on modern IPhones!I always enjoy games like this, the graphics are great and it looks fun. However, it’s nearly unplayable on Iphone, try to move the plane and your thumb will hit the bar at the bottom and continually exit the app! If it allowed for alternate controls like a pad and button control then maybe it can be decent to play. Plus the slow time function is really off putting for a control scheme too. ✓ Gets really Grindy and pay to playHad fun with this game before, but with the stars required to upgrade stuff become ridiculous, and you will probably have to fly 10 times before you can upgrade the weapon, the game became essentially pay to play as its just crazy. ✓ Giving Up !I meant that I want to increase the levels of Health, Main Cannon, Wing Cannons, Magnet, Missiles, Laser, Energy Shield, and Mega Bomb, which are by my standards very low. I will increase the stars in my review, but I still would like to be able to increase the Ships levels, not just continuing the levels in the game. It doesn’t seem like it would be that hard to do. If everything could be raised to like 100. I would appreciate it very much. Really, still no updates, I would like to increase the levels of everything that I mentioned above a long time ago, you are risking getting removed from Apple’s store. ✓ No cloud saveAlthough this is a fantastic game if you install on a new device you have to start all over again ,even when logged into Facebook. It doesn’t even save your friends, you have to go through the rigmarole of re-entering player codes ,so really it deserves less than 3 stars in my opinion. ✓ Ship power maxes out way too earlyOne of the best things with this style of game is the building up of better and better weapons - you won’t get that in this game - even after you have all ships and all upgrades, you end up with a ship that just seems weak and gutless against the higher levels, and no further way to upgrade it. ✓ Good, but balancing needs adjustingGame is slightly too grindy. Too many times does it say “destroy 100% of enemies” and you complete the level doing just that, but it says 99%. Overall it seems like a great game. It’s just very grindy to get to the next level. Excessively so imo. Out of 5 objectives, all extremely challenging like take no damage, destroy 100% of enemies (including hidden ones) rescue all people, the bar is set too high and should at least have an option to continue playing without the needless grind. Beyond that, the game is great. It’s the one thing that brings it down..Version: 1.90

✓ Why, why why???I’m giving this game 3 stars having played it once as it has promise but I simply cannot comprehend why it is not possible to play it in landscape format which is the most natural viewing angle for humans! I wanted to play this on my iPad while I am ill at home but it’s a complete washout! I have deleted it 5 mins after downloading! Are there really so many abjectly stupid people out there that can’t think to turn their ******* phone to landscape format when playing a game, taking a photograph etc? ✓ Game Progress Synchronization IssueDon’t take me wrong, this is a great game, but there is an ongoing issue with the game progress being synchronized across iCloud devices that has been going on for a really long time and the developer has yet to address it. I have this game on both my Apple TV and iPhone and my progress will not synchronize across devices no matter what. I have tried logging out and back into my iCloud on both devices without luck, and if you google the issue, you’ll see I’m not the only one. Also, there is no way to add friends through the Apple TV app. You must download the iPhone app to add friends. They should add that option to the Apple TV as well..Version: 1.90
✓ DissapointingBy all accounts this is a great game, excellent graphic, but, for some reaons, it rips you off. I start the game with 945 stars for example, then, i earn an additional 745 stars by defeating another level. You might think that i would find 1690 stars right! I would give this 5 stars, but I can’t even play 5 levels. How can you possibly progress when you can only play once every 25 min?? Oops you were killed in three seconds that time? Sorry you have to wait 30 min to try again unless you use up all your money (if you were good enough in previous levels to get enough stars in the first place). Want to upgrade your ship? ✓ Enjoy the grind grind grind?This could have been a fantastic game. But it isn’t. There is no such thing as a good free game but even spending cash on this game gets you nowhere unless you do the same few levels over and over and over and over and over and over again. The upgrades are literally in the hundreds and so barely incremental you can’t really tell the difference...... It’s a shame as this would have been a great little game if there were less, more meaningful upgrades, more levels and more variation. ✓ GameplayI downloaded this game to try it out and I’ve got to say...it’s one of the most disappointing shooting games I’ve ever played. Some of the levels are just ridiculously too hard to complete without using a ton of shields and mega bombs. And it’s also so repetitive...having to play the same levels over and over again just to get enough stars to upgrade a weapon part and then wait hours for it to finish. And why have ads on a game you have to pay to play and then expect people to pay to remove em...in all..the graphics are good but the rest is rubbish...maybe one for developers to think about...maybe..Version: 1.90

But you get to a point in the game, right around level 7 that it’s hard to advance any further because you need so many medals. ✓ Great game except…..Love the game, I highly recommend purchasing the star doubler to get rid of the ads and get upgrades much faster. The one issue I really have is that the progress does not sync across platforms, specifically from iPad to AppleTV and vice-versa. Really disappointing after you have a solid session of advancement on one platform and but the other is still where you left off last. Weirdly, purchases and Game Center data sync, but not the actual game advancement. I don’t really get it, I’m sure there’s some developer reason, but it’s just really too bad..Version: 2.00
✓ Not “fair”While I’m sure some people like ever-increasing challenges, when it’s tied to in-app purchases, I still believe there’s an expectation that your purchased firepower is going to be able to defeat the enemies more easily. This isn’t the case with SFR. Instead, as you get more powerful, so do your enemies - some more than others. The result is that whether you play the game for enough hours to earn your firepower, or the $50+ that it takes to buy it all, the net is the same - levels that get so hard to do that the fun of the shooter is diminished. I also think that for $50, I should be able to kill almost anything... perhaps not with ease, but not at the same difficulty I had killing things at the first level with no purchases at all..Version: 1.90
✓ DisappointedHow can you ruin such a well done game with poor shooting capabilities? While playing you collect a lot of “weapon upgrades” but they do absolutely nothing!!!??? I get the whole grind to build up your ship, but a good shooter gives you extra fire power then and there while playing (and uh... we collected them while flying????) (Look at Galaga Wars as an example!) Any game has to have a REWARD system in play, why have weapon upgrades you can collect that do nothing????? Fix!!! And I’ll purchase !!! ✓ OopsWell, I was writing a long and detailed review of how many problems this beautiful game has in it, but it was deleted by dumb apple issues, so I'll just say this: simple gameplay, pretty graphics, crappy dialogue, entire level that is seemingly designed to be as unfun as possible, illogical defense systems, absurd amount of grinding for an ARCADE game, stupid "luck" mechanic, slow progression through uninteresting mechanics, some interesting ships, nothing that made me think "WOAH! THAT IS SO COOL!!" (like, for instance, the ENTIRE GAME portal 2, which all of you should definitely play even though it's over a decade old.) Would not play again..Version: 1.90
✓ Great game but…..I’ll adjust the star rating on this review when the glitch is fixed that is stopping me from adding friends and therefore competing in tournaments. Great game but can’t add friends because of a known issue and frankly it needs sorting quickly (other game devs sort things out fast so you guys need to) so I can’t compete in tournaments because I don’t have enough listed friends and frankly that’s not my fault. Sort it and it’s 5 star. Don’t sort it quickly it stays 3 star, don’t sort it at all it goes to 1 star and the game gets deleted..Version: 1.96
