✓ Paid for old version: lost all passwords with iOSIOS UPDATE 14.5.1 happened and have no access to my passwords in the old PAID version of iPassword/Password manager that is solid Silver logo but otherwise the exact same as this ap. When I went to the ap store to contact support, the link was bad and there was no way to request ap support. At the moment I have lost all my passwords without any notice that the recent iOS update would cause issues with that ap. Even though my phone is backed up, there is no way to retrieve my passwords because the ap is not updated. Please patch the old ap, if I need to update to the new ap from now on that is fine! But without notice that this would happen I was completely blindsided. When I could use the ap it was a 5star ap and I relied on it heavily. It was worth paying for. ✓ BewareHad the previous version of this app. With the last iOS update (14.5) the older app is not compatible so it will NOT open. No one received any notice or warning. The app Developer needs to update but they have not done so and seem unwilling to do so. Apple says their is nothing they can do. Hundreds, probably thousands, of people now locked out of their usernames/passwords. This version of the app looks and operates exactly the same as the previous version so I have to think it is the same Developer. Hopefully the Developer does the right thing and updates the previous app (which we paid for) so people can access their data. ✓ Lost contactI recently paid £9.99 to upgrade to pro version because my ipassword would not open after I updated to iOS 14.6 operating system. As a result, I spent eleven hours inputting all my info again! As my iPad hadn’t updated I was able to open ipassword there and physically copy the data. I’ve been using the app for many years. The pro upgrade enabled me to restore from a backup file from 2016 only! So I had to update five years of data! This isn’t acceptable and I ask if I can have a refund as I was already using the pro version of ipassword that I paid for years ago! It is an invaluable tool, but I fear you may not keep updating the app to keep up with iOS upgrades in the future and I could lose everything! The support email in the app doesn’t work! ✓ Avoid. Bugs you for 5* rating and touch id stopped workingIt was doing a decent job, but then started continually nagging for 5* rating whenever you launched, and would not stop even if you said ‘no’. Now after latest update it no longer works with touch ID. It just closes to background when you touch. You have to log in with full password. Guess I have to move to another password manager. (Oh, and is a real schlep to synch between devices).Version: 6.4

✓ BEWARE: Not compatible with newest iPhonesI just upgraded my iPhone 6 to the iPhone XR. This app doesn’t work now with my new phone. I have spent hours troubleshooting, deleting the app and reinstalling it, but it just won’t stay open! It opens immediately after reinstalling and downloading from iCloud, but as soon as you exit out of the app it crashes and never opens again. I have all my passwords stored in there from the last 2 years. Luckily, I still have my old phone so I can login and open my passwords. Unfortunately, I have to find an alternative backup method. It was convenient being able to copy and paste everything. The issue with using apple or google password keychain is that it only stores the passwords. If you need access to other information such as your ID number, pin, login questions and answers, that’s where this app would have come in extremely handy. I was using it in a daily basis. Now I don’t know what I’m gonna do. I really hope they update this app soon otherwise its a waste of money and time!.Version: 6.0

✓ Developer stopped supporting previous versionHave had the predecessor to this app for years and been quite happy with it. Unfortunately the developer seems to have stopped updating that version to keep up with the current versions of iOS. Apple won’t allow an iOS rollback to the last-supported version. I’m going on 2 months without the ability to access 100 or so passwords. I would gladly buy the full version of this new app if it had the ability to import the data from the previous version. The fact that the developer has left many of us early users high and dry with inaccessible data is reason enough for me to look elsewhere for my next storage solution..Version: 7.0.6
✓ Avoid if you don’t want to lose your dataI recommend staying away from this Developer. They had a previous iPassword App that they stopped supporting. No notice was provided to the user community. Nor can you buy this App or Pro Version and import your data from cloud storage or local device storage. It’s has left 100s of us without the ability to get our data after recent upgrade to iOS 14.5 and 6. Apple doesn’t let you revert back to an older IOS version so your data is losses. Personally, I just lost 5 years of data. This is password and other critical data logger which needs better controls to avoid this happening. Of course Apple point the finger at the App, the Developer at Apple and both at us the consumer. I am sure in the numerous pages of fine print we agreed to get screwed. ✓ BEWARE OF DEVELOPER - DO NOT USE - LOSE YOUR DATAThis developer has another app called I password which as I’m sure you’ve seen elsewhere has gone dead leaving myself and many other users without access to years worth of passwords. The developer has been completely unresponsive to all requests to restore the old app or update it so that it works with the newest version of iOS. Instead of making the old app work on the new update this app has replaced it. I, like many other users of the old app cannot believe that a password storage App would go dark after years and years of use… Even of the paid version. Do not trust this app developer. ✓ Lost 8 years worth user ID’s and PasswordsI had the free version of this App from 2013. Yesterday I went to log in and IOS kicks out a message indicating “iPassword” needs to be updated. I emailed the developer, no response. After much research I’ve discovered I’m not the only one and many other people who have been using the free version with the ”blue colored icon” are literally locked out of their app with no access to their many many years of accumulated user ID’s and Passwords. Absolutely Disgusted. I’ve never left a bad review for anyone or anything. Do not download this app nor the pro version. ✓ LOCKED OUT OF OLD VERSION!!I have been using a password for several years with great success, and recently updated my iPhone XS max to version 14.5 at which time I received the following message when trying to access my iPassword app: “The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of iOS”. Many other iPhone users are having the same problem and I have research this on the forums without resolution. One person noted that the developer has the website which is all in Chinese. I uploaded the new version of the app which has a similar icon and when I attempted to use the contact us button the email came back as undeliverable. So, years worth of passwords are no longer accessible. I gave the review of one star in hopes that the developer will see the review and correct this issue. I’ll add that several more sophisticated users have made all kinds of attempts to access this information using their advanced knowledge of software, to no avail..Version: 7.0.5

✓ Don’t trust this developerI have years of password in their old app. Often backed it up, just to find myself unable to access any password because the developer does not update the app. This will eventually happen to this app: years after, you will be left unable to access your backed up passwords because the developers decide to create a new app and stop updating the old one, with no alternative for recovery. ✓ AnnoyingEach time I open this app I have to click a button to either rate it or delay the pop until the next time I open the app. I’m forced to leave a rating by this process. This is why it gets 5 stars and some whinging commentary. I gave it 1 star earlier because of this annoyance but it didn’t get rid of the demand for 5 stars. I even paid £5 for this. It functions well enough but the design and layout is clunky and basic. And forcing me to leave a 5 star review is immoral and misleading. Edit: back to one star. ✓ Very disappointedThis was one of my favorite apps. I spent a couple of years (or more) saving MANY passwords in it. I recently purchased a new iPhone X, and of course, backed up everything to the cloud as well as iTunes on my PC. When I backed up everything, I made sure iPassword was included in the app backup list. When everything was downloaded to my new phone, this was the ONLY app that lost its data. In addition, it now crashes each time and open it. I have spent a lot of time trying everything to get it to work, including reinstalling the app, connecting it to my computer to try and retrieve it from iTunes there. I finally got so frustrated I decided to send an email to the developer, and I never received a response. I resigned myself to start over, and now it crashes. ✓ I loved it until....I loved it until I bought a new phone and had to restore. The most important app I had to restore was this one because it had all my passwords from the beginning of time. I had an iPhone 6 that I purchased in early 2015 & soon started on this app as my choice for a password manager. TODAY I purchased a new iPhone X and when I went to open the app (icon) that was restored, I get a message telling me I won’t be able to restore because Apple ID blah blah blah. Perhaps the app I had was an earlier version where I was able to have unlimited entries without having to upgrade to Pro as I’ve read in other reviews- perhaps grandfathered in? Bummer to say it seems like I lost all my passwords to log-ins saved from websites and rewards apps, etc. Very disappointed that this app didn’t do what it claims-RESTORE! How many times do people replace phones? I just so happened to have the same phone for 4 years. I’ll be going with another password manager moving forward - not risking a history of passwords on an app that doesn’t do what it was supposed to do. ✓ Looks good but...There are some nice features. I like the templates and the fact that you can modify them to suit your needs. What I don't like is the fact that they don't tell you when you download the app that you'll be limited as to how many entries you can save. I enter data for six passwords and on the seventh I got the upgrade to pro message. If you don't upgrade you can save another entry. They did give me the choice of writing a review and getting more free storage and I'm not sure what that means. Does it mean I can enter more data i.e. more entries or is it cloud storage that I don't even use. Had I known they were going to rope me in to try it out and then hit me with the upgrade to pro or you're dead in the water I probably wouldn’t have downloaded it. That being said I use it regularly and it performs very well. I’m sure there’s plenty of features I don’t use. What I do use are logins and some folders. I don’t have any problem with the way they work. I also use the back up to Wi-Fi and that works fine as far as giving me a back up file. Unfortunately testing the restore functionality it’s just not something you do unless you have some parallel phone. You just don’t blow away something that works just to see if restore works because what if it doesn’t? I also don’t like the fact that it keeps asking me to rate the app and I have rated it numerous times and it still keeps asking me to rate the app what the hell is up with that. ✓ AVOID THIS APP - iPassword4.4 IS A FALSE RATING ! Read the reviews. Some 5 star ratings are actual complaints about the developers not supporting the previous version and we all lost hundreds of passwords. APPLE should step in to fix this or at very least ban this developer. I purchased the previous version of this app because the app I was using to store passwords stopped working and the developers refused to update it. AND NOW THIS APP’s developers have done the EXACT SAME THING!!!! All of my passwords are un-retrievable because they refused to update the previous version to work with iOS 14.6! ✓ ***CAUTION*** read before using this app!!’The developer has an app that is called iPassword when Apple update 14.6 The app stopped working and everybody lost all of their passwords. There was no way to retrieve them you can look for yourself on Reddit and other blogs. The idiot developer didn’t contact people soon enough or at all to let them know. So thousands of people lost all of their passwords. You will also notice this is a Chinese developer so who knows what happen with these passwords now. I had the app for a number of years and then just like that it was gone. The password program was backed up on iCloud and dropbox but it will not sync to the app if you download this one. Some people had a little bit of success of recovering some of their passwords but a lot of people cannot get any of them back. For that reason I would not trust this developer they have irresponsible policies and regardless of the Apple update they need to be on top of things like this when you’re dealing with peoples personal information especially passwords. I’m trying to keep this professional and bite my tongue because the things that I really want to say will probably get me kicked off the Apple platform I am so angry about losing hundreds of passwords. The owner stopped supporting the app so they could dump the entire current user base and force everyone to purchase it again! Because they stopped updating it, I could not open it anymore in newer versions of my operating system. To me this should be illegal, it seems like embezzlement and they should be prosecuted for misleading thousands of users into thinking they purchased a lifetime license. Today I saw that there was an update option; however, when I tried it my whole application was deleted and I lost everything from the previous app… it was useless anyway but I was hoping someday they would update it. I’ve been using RoboForm ever since they stopped supporting this app. I’d say if you use this app, even if you purchased a license… stop now and transfer your license to some other app like RoboForm before the developers have a chance to do this again! ✓ Unreliable developerDon't use this app for your important passwords!!! I used their previous paid version (with different logo but same developer) and now can't open the app anymore after update the iOS 14.6. The worse thing is they don't provide any download and update in the App Store anymore!! Completely disappear!! I loss all important passwords in the app without any precaution to perform a backup. I just realised heaps of people who used this app have the same problem when I searched on internet. People post on the apple community and the developer page but get no response. ✓ Not compatible with IPhone XS MaxI have pro version and thankfully I also have it on my iPad otherwise I would have lost all my stored passwords and bank card details etc. Can download the app onto my new phone, run a restore from iCloud for my stored details, however it only works for that one instance. After closing the app it will not open again and just flashes up and disappears from the screen. ✓ Super glitchyI did buy the paid version, to have more than the six passwords available in the free trial. I think the layout is fine. My problem is that it is super glitchy and I routinely get locked out of it. Partly that is my own fault because now I can’t remember what password I used, and it can be numbers, letter number combination, or connecting dots in a pattern. Once you set up your initial password you can allow fingerprint or facial recognition, which of course I did, and then never used that password again, so now I don’t remember what I used. Lately it has been recognized my face and then immediately closing the app. Even from inside the app there is no way to see the password or change it without the old one. I’ll be deleting the app and finding one I’m not worried about losing all my information in..Version: 6.6
✓ Was extremely happy for almost 10 yearsI really liked the previous app that I purchase a long time ago but now no longer works like others are saying… Downloaded the new app but can’t use backup from iCloud to recover data. Fortunately I use the app on phone and iPad and only updated phone to latest IOS. The backup via wifi is not working, can’t upload the backup file but was able to get it to working via Dropbox. Had to fiddle around and try a few times but it did work. Got all my passwords back on new free app on both devices. The free version is a 15 days evaluation version and will prevent adding new entries after that period is up. I am pretty mad about having to purchase the app a second time and seriously debating to do so or find a new one. Also wish that search function could be fixed to stop crashing app when used. I recently upgraded phones from 6s plus to iPhone 12 and just found out that I can’t get any of my information from ipassword to transfer over because the newer app doesn’t support it. I’ve tried to reach out to developer through the support email address and I received a failure delivery notification. I’ve since read the reviews and noticed that multiple people have also expressed their frustration due to this same issue and I never saw the developer respond at it. ✓ Almost PerfectThis is a great password manager. Everything is easily customisable so any details necessary can be easily saved and it's very user friendly. ✓ Great app but have to pay to transferThe app is very useful and great to keep a track of all your passwords securely in one place. You can even transfer data between devices using the back up function via Dropbox although it’s not easy to get it working every time. My biggest annoyance is the fact you have to pay again if you down load to an additional device. ✓ Good app but May not be reliableI have used this app for many years. Definitely more than 5-6 years. I saved all my passwords of different apps and websites etc in this. It’s apparently secure and everything and very easy to use too. Everything was going well until recently when I upgraded the OS version on my iPhone and this app gave me a shock of my life. Whenever I tried to open the app it said that it won’t work with the latest OS version which I just upgraded to. No matter what it did not work at all. I googled to check if there was any work around to get my data but there wasn’t a way to get it. The app notified me that I should delete it so I did and then downloaded the new version of this app now. I opened the new version and tried to get my data from the cloud, but the app told me that my data from the old version cannot be restored any more. So basically I have lost all my data/passwords store for the last 5-6 years. And I have no choice but to recreate everything again. I just needed something simple. Ah to my chagrin it's unlikely one exists. My old app hasn't upgraded for years and will thusly will lose the app with my next IOS upgrade. ✓ Simple app, but annoyingApp works fine. Single purchase and you can store your passwords. Super simple, nothing more than it needed. You can open it with your fingerprint or with a password. However, every time you open it, it asks for a review. So, here’s my review. ✓ Great when it worksIf your iPhone ever dies unexpectedly and you have not been diligent about saving your passwords to Dropbox, you are in a heap of trouble. Also it doesn’t seem to work well with new FaceID technology. I thought it was corrupted so I uninstalled, reinstalled and restored my Dropbox backup, still the same issue where it wouldn’t open. Something made me think to turn off FaceID and it worked. I will be looking for a more reliable option but this has done me ok for several years. ✓ WARNING: previous version lost passwordsLike a lot of other reviewers on here, I used the previous version of this app (which was great btw) until a regular Apple update rendered it unusable. No warning, no access so have effectively lost all my passwords in one go. This issue has been reported by many and not been resolved. ✓ Good storage for passwordsI had a bad experience when my older iPhone was damaged and I upgraded to a newer iPhone but found out that when I downloaded the app again all my previous data had gone even though I had saved it to the cloud. The app gave me a new IP address which differed from the address my previous app had saved the data on so I couldn’t restore all my saved passwords. Was a painful job resetting all my previously registered accounts..Version: 5.7
✓ GregI suggest you don’t touch this app if you have a XS max iPhone. I recently had my iPhone 7 crash after a backup. I restored everything to the new phone except the passwords stored in this app. Every time I try to load the app it crashes, I have uninstalled from my phone and reinstalled and it crashes again. I even used this app to do a password backup some months ago, but can’t load the backup as the app crashes. I have tried to contact support, but no response. I had been using this app for over two years with no problems, until changed my phone and if I could use my old phone I most likely could get access to my passwords, but this is impossible according to apple due to motherboard failure. So users be careful, what looks secure and is secure when changers occur beyond our control are not always what they seem..Version: 6.0
✓ Great but can be the best!I don’t know why but I’ve downloaded yesterday this app and it is working fine in IOS 14.5.1 ( lots of people can’t open anymore)…It’s just the point of my old GREAT pass app (1Passe): after update to 14.5.1, it stopped work. But it was out of applestore since 2016. Now I am trying this new one ( free vs for awhile) IPassword cause it’s very similar to my old app. It could be fantastic if it has the “get from camera, get from photo library and get from web google images search” pics to use like icons!!! Please developer fix the iOS issues for all users and think about my suggestion!.Version: 7.0.5

✓ Locked outWas using this app almost daily until was locked out due to the app needing upgrading to meet the latest version of iOS. Fortunately I had an older iPhone running on an older iOS version which had iPassword and I was able to retrieve my passwords. Do not trust the developers any more though so now looking for another solution. Feel bad for all the people who have lost so many passwords. I was very lucky I had a back up. ✓ Response to Ariel ChazanI was in your exact position. I was lucky to be able to solve it. You need another iphone that is running an OS that is older than this one. I had an iphone 5 which ran iOS 10 lol. Then I downloaded a software called “imazing”. Connect your current phone and export the entire iPassword app to your PC using “iamazing” (make sure you export the entire app - and it is the correct one - first time cus it’s the trial version which has limited file moves). Then connect your old phone to “imazing”. Find the import file button to install the app iPassword app on your old phone. Follow the instructions and the app will be installed with all the info on your old phone. Then within iPassword on your old phone go to settings and back it up using iTunes. Follow the instructions. Then go to this version of the app on your new phone and follow the instructions to restore from iTunes. It’s working for me now. Tho now I am way more wary about using this app!.Version: 7.0.6

They have another identical app called iPassword and have not updated it so everyone who purchased it now doesn’t have their passwords After updating to Apple IOS 14.5 when trying to open the app I get a message that says, "iPassword needs to be updated. The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of IOS." We are unable to contact the developer. The program worked great until it suddenly became unavailable after my phone updated to version 14.5. Thankfully I was able to retrieve the passwords off my previous phone but that was just luck. ✓ DisasterI’ve had the paid version of this app for years. Bought new iPhone XS, backed-up passwords, and app loaded to new phone and everything was fine at the store. Got home and the app wouldn’t open. Deleted and went to the App Store and my version iPassword app was gone and they wanted me to paid for another version. I downloaded the free version to see if I could get the app to work without deleting all my passwords. Luckily I had a version on my iPad. The new free version couldn’t see my iCloud backup file so I downloaded a backup file to my iTunes in my computer. The free version was able to see my backup file on iTunes. I went to my wife’s purchases and found that we bought the pro version for her some years back. With the family sharing, I was able to download a new pro version instead of my upgraded paid free version. To make sure everything was good, I powered down my phone then turned back on. The app would open then shutdown. I read some comments that the FaceID wasn’t working, surely they would have disable? I deleted the app, reinstalled, opened, restored backup file, and FaceID was turned on by default, good grief. I turned of FaceID and now after hours of fun and troubleshooting and ridiculing by family the app works fine. If I didn’t have all the passwords already loaded I would go to another app. I suspect I’ll have more problems in the future..Version: 6.0
