Madcow default math is off.The system doesn't properly calculate the weight for each set in accordance with the rules of the program you choose. You can make manual adjustments to get it in the vicinity of the correct progression from set to set, workout to workout and week to week, but a big part of the draw to any app is the assumption that it's going to do what's on the tin--in this case, know the basic mathematical progression of the program and use your 5RM to calculate what you should lift for each set. From the very first lift, it's clear the app wasn't built to do that, which is to say that it's not all clear what it's good for..Version: 14.0.7

Mondays aren’t showing up.So…Mondays are just not loading anymore. Cool. Glad I paid for this..Version: 14.0.7

Crap appApp is easy to use . My only problem is the Madcow program is not the original . Very disappointed..Version: 14.0.2

Solid programIt would be better if the weights increased by itself per day. Also you can't change target weight once you start the program. All in all the program is good. I would pay to get additional features but not just to get ads off..Version: 1.5

Seems to be a good appI am really fascinated with the exercise data base, how ever I haven't started to use the app yet... But so far for what I've looked at it seems to be a very easy app to use with clear and functional menu...we will see.Version: 1.5

Percentages offMadcow is wrong, had you matching your 5x5 in week 12 instead of 4. No option for advanced lifters. It might be a good app if it did what it said it would..Version: 14.0.7

Link with Apple HealthAs a longtime user of StrongLifts 5X5 I wanted to add some variety to my workouts. The app seems to be good for incorporating variations of 5x5. I would like to see the ability to link with apple health as I generally use my Apple Watch for tracking certain data points such as workout time and calories..Version: 14.0.7

Useful app but doesn't convert weights properlyThis is a useful app for tracking progress but it doesn't convert the weights and their increases properly when switching between kg and lbs (numbers are only correct if set to lbs) If set to lbs then each increase is correct at 5lbs per completed workout but if you switch to kg then each increase is 5kg instead of 2.5kg. The app also doesn't convert the weights if switching between the two measurements, for example, 50kg does not get converted to 110lbs or vice versa..Version: 14.0.2

EmbarrassingThe squat weight doesn't increase properly from Friday's triple to Monday's heavy set. This is a simple fix but unfortunately the developers refused to respond to my email when I informed them about it. Very disappointed since I paid for this app and was prompted to inform them of any errors. Feigned concern on their part..Version: 14.0.3

Needs improvementLove the app. Doing the reg Park routine but the rest timer does not go off if outside the app and every time I go into the app my music turns off. Fix this and I'll give it a 5 star..Version: 14.0.3

4 weeks inAfter upgrading to pro and using it for four weeks for Madcow, it’s ok. I’d like these fixes: 1. After your screen locks on iPhone the app restarts, you navigate three screens to get back to your workout. Annoying when you finish a set and have to keep finding where you were at. 2. You can’t use the plate calculator when the rest timer is running. That’s when you need it, between sets. 3. I tried to login from a different phone with no luck. I previously used SL 5x5 pro.Version: 14.0.7

Fails at its only jobThe spreadsheet for madcow is completely inaccurate and it’s not even close. Idk if I should start over the program now properly or what. This app is useless..Version: 14.0.7

Madcow calculations are wrongI downloaded this to track my progress with Madcow. Immediately after I enter my 5 rep maxes I go to start my squat set and the amounts it wants me to do are not near what they should be based off my 5RM. Not sure about other exercises, but the day 1 squat has wrong percentages. App has potential, but is completely useless to me right now..Version: 14.0.7

Autoplay ads on a workout app? Really?App has autoplay video ads that force stop music. These are always awful but if there was ever an app to never use them it’s a workout app where 90% of people are going to be playing music. Calculations are also broken for madcow and doesn’t track properly on the last lift of the day if you don’t complete and want to stick on the same weight for the next week..Version: 14.0.7

Piece of trashThis app is a joke - the Madcow 5x5 isn't the original program and isn't accurate at all. Plus - the rest timer doesn't go off..Version: 2.2

It needs to be tweaked... a lotThe app doesn’t really follow the Madcow spreadsheet very well. The percentages and weights can be off by anywhere from 10-35 lbs depending on the exercise. When you try to adjust to the correct weights it, will switch it back to the wrong weight sometimes if your screen dims or if you check the plate calculator. Another issue is that there isn’t a feature for de-loading, whether that comes from plateaus or failure to complete the set. While I do like being able to track my progress, I think the app should be able to sync up with either the health tracker on the phone or another app such as My Fitness Buddy. The app needs to be revamped or updated or tweaked in a major way..Version: 14.0.7

Alternating WorkoutsWorkouts should alternate. Week 1 starts with the squat, bench press, and row. Week 2 should start with squat, overhead press, and deadlift. Unless there is a way to change this in the app which I haven't found..Version: 1.9

Like to save your info?Not the app for you if you like to keep track of your workout. App repeatedly restarts and loses all information..Version: 1.4

Madcow template is incorrectThe Madcow template is terrible. The percentages are not correct and doesn’t follow the logic of an intermediate program..Version: 14.0.7

Stupid google ad bannerGreat app with awesome workout but stupid google ad bar in the bottom of the screen covers certain buttons which renders the app useless, bravo ads bravo😡.Version: 14.0.7

100 pounds really....The app setup looked nice at first, but the madcow program isn't set up like the original one. According to the program on here my bench should increase by 100 pounds in 12 weeks. Which is overwhelmingly unrealistic.. Definitely doesn't fit the numbers of the original madcow spreadsheet..Version: 2.2

PotentialThe app has potential but both the iPhone and iPad versions continually crash when trying to creat a new program (the main reason I bought the app)..Version: 14.0.3
