Please add Cloud Save featureThis game is amazing! But please add Cloud Save feature so that players can enjoy seamless gaming experience between iPad and iPhone. Please do take it into consideration! The fifth star will be for that. Thanks!.Version: 3.1.3

Perfect for the subway ridesYou know the game. I agree with everyone about the issues with UI scaling, and the problems that come along with that. I’ve had to press-hold multiple times on a single inventory item to view it’s details/use, along with taking extra time to make sure I didn’t miss-click anything. I got used to the small UI after a few hours, I’m on an iPhone. If you can adapt to the small UI and can accept that the environment requires very precise finger-selection, then it’s def worth it.Version: 3.1.3

Legendary.Nothing to add, this is a legendary game.Version: 3.0.3

Phenomenal! This game is an absolute classic, and the play mechanics suite an iPad quite well..Version: 3.1.3

SpeechlessWorth buying an iPad for.Version: 3.0.3

TremendousWhat a treat. Quite brilliant. This classic old-school RPG in fabulous HD. Shame that Beamdog let it out with the odd silly mistake. Getting the help icons the wrong way round on a couple of icons just smacks of carelessness. There's still a bit of a problem entering and exiting some buildings but other than that this is one of the finest games on my iPad. Highly recommended..Version: 3.0.3

One of the best RPG storiesAnd a good port. I do not play mobile games besides this and FTL..Version: 3.1.3

It’s awesomeMost favorite game!.Version: 3.1.3

Screen size for new iPad homesAll I ask is you allow the screen to be full screeen on all the newer phones!! All the other games you make are!!.Version: 3.1.3

Nearly perfect port of a nearly perfect game.Finally. I never thought Planescape Torment would be ported, much less being ported and enhanced as amazingly as this. Beamdog/Overhaul Games have totally outdone themselves on this. There is a tiny bit of choppiness, but nothing major. This game has had new life breathed into it, but still manages to have the totally dead/undead charm as it did when it was originally released. Get this, and get ready to experience this classic adventure again. You'll be playing it until you reach your True Death!.Version: 3.0.3

No audio**fixedNo audio on most recent ios, ipad air2******* if you mute notifications it mutes all games now! if you have no sound in game make sure the bell is not red when you swipe up..Version: 3.1.3

Legendary Game!Grew up playing this game! Nice to see it in the AppStore!.Version: 3.1.3

Great PortThe fact that you can play the enhanced version on a mobile system is amazing. If you haven’t experienced the wild ride that Planescape is, do it (all of the rave reviews about it being the best CRPG are true). If you’re looking to relive the story again, do it. Only word of warning for everyone is there is no cloud save between devices. But that being said you’re not going to want to play this on a phone. iPad screen is the only way to go for this much text..Version: 3.1.3

LOVE This Game...... and I am NOT a gamer. Totally got me hooked on rpg’s and I’ve purchased and played every game in the Infinity Collection. Now I’m patiently waiting for a new release or a re-release of any similar game on iOS or Google Play by this developer..Version: 3.1.3

The Story 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻Torment was a PC game i tried after playing Baldur's Gate 2 but couldn't get into initially. You have to get past the muddy graphics and weird art style to appreciate the remarkable and skillful storytelling that makes this a true RPG. With Planescape Torment on my iPad Mini, I've spent the first 10 hours poring over lines of humorous and engaging dialogue with the sad and grotesque denizens of Sigil. I've toyed with the many possible evil and good outcomes when deciding a stranger's fate. Sometimes I just went with my instincts and never looked back. I found so much D&D lore told in just one item description it reminded me of Dark Souls..Version: 3.0.3

Need iphone xs screen support please :)Pretty plz.Version: 3.1.3

PerfectionFlawless version of an incredible classic. If you're not averse to reading this is gaming nirvana. Worth the money and more..Version: 3.0.3

Loved it now I get to play againVery cool retro game. Hope they bring back all of the old games..Version: 3.1.3

Massive old-school RPGI've just finished the game after spending at least 100 hours playing. Glitches and data corruption that plagued earlier versions for Windows, all seemed to have been fixed in this port, and the game ran well for hours at a time on my 2020 iPad running on battery power and iPadOS 15.5. I don't recommend this for phones and I think even the mini iPads are a bit too small for most people because a lot of useful information is only shown as small on-screen labels. The plot is grimdark and meditative, there are many ways to achieve most of the goals needed to advance the plot, and there are hundreds of subquests to do. If you enjoy micromanaging combat, there are options for that (turn on optional pauses in the settings and increase the difficulty level), or if you want to focus on the story then turn down the difficulty and use default settings (and maybe look at one of the multiple excellent walkthroughs). Doors between locations can be tricky to hit, but I found the following useful: a single targeting cursor is shown if the game thinks you've asked to take your party through a door, instead of the usual multiple target party grouping; pausing can also make door targeting easier. Lots of fun overall, especially considering it's a game from 1999. If you like Spiderweb Software games this will probably scratch a similar itch..Version: 3.1.3

Top RPG of All TimeThis isn’t just the best IOS game of all time but it is a solid contender for game of all time. Works great on IOS and has had input from original designer Chris Avellone for script tweaks, this is completely faithful to the original just with a boost in performance and compatibility. The highly engrossing story, amazing locations and lovable characters are all here. Do yourself a favor, buy this game. Turn off the lights. Put on headphones and just get lost in the planes..Version: 3.1.3

Easily one of the best games ever created. This game really doesn't need an introduction. It's widely praised as one of the greatest ever. You'd be hard pressed to find a game with better writing or a more original world. Having it on my phone is truly amazing. It's a bit small but if you put font to max size in the options it works really well. Much easier to play than BG2. Pro tip: Max Int and Wisdom when making a character. Trust me..Version: 3.1.3

Sick!I thought this game was tied up in a legal dispute! Awesome to see it here!.Version: 3.0.3

MasterpieceThis game is powerful, magical, well done experience. It is a pretty good port to IOS, definitely recommend playing, worth every penny. The option to increase the font size of written text is very useful The “How to Play” button that shows all controls and instructions for the game is very useful as well..Version: 3.1.3

Good RPGHuge and immersive, with interesting graphics and challenging mysteries and puzzles. Many people will Iove this game. I, however, prefer games like Diablo, Avernum and Wizardry, where most of a player's time is spent fighting monsters and acquiring gold, magic items and equipment. This game contains a LOT of dialogue, so expect to spend a lot of time conversing with NPCs; and if you happen to not ask someone a certain question, it can be detrimental to gameplay and character development. If you enjoy lots of dialogue, you'll love this game, otherwise consider trying Bard's Tale or Avernum..Version: 3.0.4

Need iPhone X’s wider screen support! Please add iPhone X’s wider screen support for this game!.Version: 3.1.3

Works great on 9in iPad Pro with stylusBeen wanting to play this for a while, and decided to go with this version vs the far more expensive PS4 Icewind Dale bundle. I’m just finishing the first area, but already loving it! Much easier with my Apple Pencil, and I’m thankful for the Zooming, Text Scaling and Difficulty Settings. I wouldn’t play this on a phone, and honestly anyone who sees the UI and thinks it’s comfortable to play on a small screen may be expecting too much. If I had to nitpick, sometimes it takes a few tries to click on NPCs, and to press-hold on items to view them. But so far, no other complaints. So grateful I can play this on the go..Version: 3.1.3

Amazing game, good portThere’s nothing quite like the Planescape setting for Dungeons and Dragons, and this late-90s masterpiece makes it shine like never before ... or since, actually. It’s delightfully weird, sometimes incredibly dark, sometimes incredibly self-aware and funny, and always a fascinating experience. The voice acting and music are particularly good. It’s an incredibly game back when it came out, and this edition holds up. But for iOS: I played it through on my iPhone X with some difficulty. My eyes strained more than a bit ... high brightness will help a little. My fingers are too big to reliably select items and view their descriptions (you hold down and release), so it took me anywhere from 1-10 tries. Similarly, selecting the right NPCs to talk to/attack is a peril-fraught endeavor. I’m pretty patient about things like that, but I realize many are not, so if that’s something that will bother you, beware. This game (and presumably the rest of the incomparable Infinity collection) is best played on an iPad. In sum: This game on iPhone is great for Dungeons and Dragons/tabletop RPG aficionados, as well as fans of the bizarre and fantastical, provided they are exceedingly patient with the limitations of the small screen. Screens smaller than the X may be drastically worse. This game on iPhone is not ideal for people whose eyes tire easily, for whom tight, easy controls are deal-breakers, or those who aren’t much into the storytelling style of D&D/Infinity Engine games. It’s not a fast-paced Diablo-style RPG however much it looks like it; it’s much more in the Baldur’s Gate / Fallout 1 style..Version: 3.1.3

A Genre best, worth a go.The game is a landmark in The evolution of CRPG scenario design. This version is a convenient way to access the classic, not always beautiful, but an improvement. If playing on an iPhone however, there are challenges in managing items and inventory. With patience and interest, this will not hinder an otherwise great and experimental work of interactive fiction. Great characters, and unique setting which is incomparable to most other worlds games are presenting this decade..Version: 3.0.4

No iCloud saves!?Spent weeks trying to beat this game only to have my phone break and lose everything. Otherwise the game is great. Rough to play due to the tiny buttons but it works once you get the hang of it. I’d love to be able to use some mods or at least a debug console so I can use some cheats when I’m not in the mood to start from scratch again..Version: 3.1.3

Quite simply the best RPG story ever!Amazing!.Version: 3.1.3

The legend is back!Legendary RPG with a rich world, unique storyline, interesting characters, non-linear quests. Thank you so much! Please make a port of the Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura.Version: 3.1.3

Great game, small buttonsI had some trouble getting into Planescape after playing Baldur’s Gate and Icewind Dale, but I finally started playing it and was pleasantly surprised. One complaint though, the menu buttons are tiny and hard to press..Version: 3.1.3

Beamdog's greatest enhanced editionBeamdog's work on other Infinity Games has been great, if a little rocky initially. With Planescape, you can tell that they have (largely) mastered their craft. This edition took a lot of work to get right - they had to remake the entire UI using 3D art for starters. The game itself is a classic, though it's actually my first ever play-through! I've sunk about 12 hours into it, which I feel is sufficient for this review. It's not my favourite Infinity Engine game, but it's definitely fun. My biggest complaint with the iPad version is Beamdog's inability to incorporate the right-click function of the PC version that lets you orient your party in a specific direction. This results in having to manually adjust every character, sometimes awkwardly. Also, I sometimes have to close parts of the UI simply to send the characters over to the next screen. This is a relatively small thing, however. On the whole, this is a very good revision of the game. The fundamentals have been maintained while needed tweaks implemented..Version: 3.0.3

A serviceable port to an excellent gameBeamdog's rehabilitation of the old Baldurs Gate games and Planescape has put a fresh new veneer on some of the best storytelling video games have to offer. I applaud their effort to port these games and offer them to a new generation of gamers almost 18 years after their original release. However, the love and care put in to the port is not enough to completely overcome the issues of bringing a game into a medium the original devs would have never dreamed up. The screen is too small on most iPhones to truly experience the game, and on newer phones the length surpasses the aspect ratio leaving long black bars on either side of the game. (An aside, there may be a function in settings that I keep missing that would fix this) An iPad will circumvent those issues or a DS stylus in a pinch, but the touch controls will always feel a tiny bit clunky compared to beamdog's excellent PC remaster. Otherwise the game is preserved and improved with much effort and care, and if you can handle a small amount of frustration this game will certainly reward you..Version: 3.1.3

Humongous and WonderfulEnormous narrative driven game with great dialogue and humour. Minor faults are that combat can be confusing when dealing with hordes of enemies (but you can wind down difficulty and introduce pauses until you get the hang of it) and making entrances and exits can be a bit fiddly, however, the gameplay and story more than make up for any faults. It is going to be sometime before I finish this game, it is truly huge and well worth the price, but you have to enjoy reading and dialogue..Version: 3.0.4

I have a XS MaxI love all of the d&d games that are in this bundle but for some reason this is the only game that doesn’t support the X, XS, 11, type screen size and I know this might also be a lot to ask but could you also hide the bar at bottom or at least blend it in like most of the games you know the tiny bar at the bottom of the screen however there are no real problems with the gameplay that I have seen so far thanks for reading and I hope that this is fixed on all of the games it would make them perfect!.Version: 3.1.3

OpinionsAbsolutely STELLAR game! Truly the best game I have ever played. Although the font sizes aren’t big enough for phones like the iPod touch..Version: 3.1.3

Are there any plans to bring neverwinter nights to iOS?Sorry for hijacking this review section, but I was hoping I could get the devs’ attention on this. As for this game, it’s amazing, really. A bit unplayable on my phone but plays really well on iPad. Unforgettable storyline, gameplay, dialogue, etc..Version: 3.1.3

ExcellentWonderful effort by Beamdog to get this released on iOS. I never played the original (due to being obsessed with BG et al) but I'm loving it so far. If you are a fan of these overhead D&D games I can't recommend it enough and although some see the price tag as off putting it really is a bargain at £9.99.Version: 3.0.3

Best game of all timeTied with Super Smash bros melee. This is a 90s game so don’t play it on an iPhone — you need a big screen, ipad only..Version: 3.1.3

AmazingVery good port. Works well with iPad 9.7 and 12.9.Version: 3.1.3

Awesome gameAwesome game, well worth the price. There are a few control issues that are a little tough. Nothing game breaking but I hope things gets smoothed up in updates..Version: 3.0.3

Great remaster finally on iPhone and iPad!A fantastic game with an incredible story! It's great to see this game made more accessible on modern devices. One suggestion, please create a way to make settings go back to there default values. If you accidentally bump one of the sliders in the menu, which is pretty easy to do on iPhone, it can be cumbersome to put it back. Thanks for porting this great game!.Version: 3.0.3

Classic RPG game.Enjoyed this little gem from the 90s. It's a bit different to Baldurs Gate in that the story and characters are a bit different, Morte the Skull is lots of fun! There's a lot of dialogue, so if you prefer combat, you might like to try Baldurs Gate first. Otherwise the story is very well written and interesting. It isn't obvious how to complete quests, so it's difficult. I wish they'd produce more of these styled games, they are great!.Version: 3.0.4

Good game, too small on a phoneThey're not kidding when they say 7" or bigger. On my iPhone xr the text and targets are TINY. I often have to try a couple of times to tap the right thing, and I can't see a lot of the items I pick up clearly..Version: 3.1.3

Amazing!After 2 hours playing on my 7+ I did order a new iPad 😃😃😃.Version: 3.0.3

Impressive performanceI was actually able to get this to run smoothly on an iPad 2. It chugged a little during prerendered videos but plays buttery smooth. Also the enhanced edition features are all very nice additions. Between it's strong performance and new quality of life features this may be the version of Torment that I finally am able to enjoy and finish.Version: 3.0.3

The Best RPG of all time now on iPad!It's just as amazing to replay this now all these years later on a touch screen as it was to originally on my old computer as a teen..Version: 3.1.3

Frustrating and confusing at firstHaving tried some new games from the same company, (Overhaul) I am even more impressed with this game. So far there isn't much out there that is better. I'm going to try Star Wars KOTR because it has such good reviews, but I am already missing this game - flaws and all. I didn't think the story line was THAT important, but having tried Icewind Dale, I'm seeing a huge difference in the usual D&D dungeon grinds and this game's detailed story line that has a reason for you to keep plugging away at the game. This is now my game to beat in RPG right now. I'd be thrilled to find others like it. ----------------second review-------------------------------- I've finished the game and am updating my review. I initially was frustrated by the design and gameplay. Along the way I became familiar with the controls well enough to tolerate them, the reading is still insane, and there are critical flaws - the worst of which are poor inventory management and the possibility of answering a question wrong and crippling your game options with no knowledge until much later in the game. I found myself using online guides a lot. And the ending was... frustrating? Confusing? But interesting. Pretty solid story. Overall - five stars compared to some of the crud in the App Store. Four stars based on flaws and imperfections. I was too harsh on it earlier. ---------------------original review-------------------------- This is a 20 year old game brought back to life. It is probably a blast from the past for some. But it is just an old game for me. Story looks superb. But it is filled with 20 years of frustration that modern game design has addressed. Things like bad inventory management, and accidentally causing the game to go on full attack towards your character. I wanted to be a thief and made my dexterity 18. But I'm a fighter. To improve you have to find "trainers." Some will love this. Not for me though..Version: 3.1.3

Well done Beamdog!I didn't agree with a lot of decisions Beamdog made with their Siege of Dragonspear game that came out last year, but I want to give them full credit for this PSTEE release. It's fantastic that I can play this epic RPG on my iPad (I don't recommend for iphone, it would be too difficult to play). There are awesome quality of life improvements with a great UI designed for iPads. There are settings to change font size, some small graphics settings where you can turn off the EE design changes if desired, gameplay settings, and quick loot! The best thing of all is they did not add any new content without Chris Avellone's say-so. I'm not finished yet, and if there is some terrible game-breaking bug, I will adjust my score accordingly, but so far I love it! This is old school classic RPG goodness, pulled straight from the golden era of RPGs. Well done!.Version: 3.0.3
