✓ Can’t PlaySpent money on the game and cannot progress due to game design. When in landscape I need to pull tokens from top of screen. No matter where I touch near the tokens it opens up my side shortcut menu (that sadly cannot be disabled). ✓ WaistedAfter the story mode I tried to play online, which was not possible without creating an account (which should have been an option, not an only choice!). Most of the time the visions come down to a coin toss. ✓ Great game, but app needs improvementFor a game that costs $5 from each player, I do expect that 6 players should be able to finish a whole run without one of us getting constantly kicked out of the game (despite being active) and being replaced by an AI. This happens so often now that the enjoyment factor has dropped significantly. Also, there are a lot of fiddly bits, like not being able to see which one my character is, because the indicator is hidden by the earphone piece on my phone. Also, it certainly is difficult to fit so many components on a small screen and is done quite well overall, but not very intuitive. It’s easy to click the wrong thing by mistake and sometimes a phone’s features (like the slide-down reachability menu) can get in the way of the gameplay, for example, when you intend to drag and drop a voting token..Version: 2.3.6

✓ Stupid AII like that I can play in solo mode, but the AI is awful. You can give them the most obvious visions, and they’ll guess wrong every time. If you give more than one vision, they will definitely get it wrong. I’ve even noticed that the same AI characters are often wrong more often than others. Are they programmed that way? ✓ Dull Repetitive MeaningessComment is about solo play against AI. The concept is appealing. The graphics attractive. The mechanics of play are simple and easy to learn. This game should be entertaining. But the game is utterly boring. Partly because there is too much repetition of narrative sequences between bouts of game play so one clicks through the same screens over and over during play. Mainly because there is no challenge to achieve success and thus no reward. Essentially to win, all you need to do is memorise the sets of connected images linking murderer, crime scene, weapon, and then have fast enough reactions to match the sets during play before your time runs out. Once you have worked out the sets, which is often a matter of trial and error since often there is often no obvious connection between images linked by the game (anyway, none I could find), there is nothing for the mind to do. This game is just a boring waste of time only slightly more sophisticated than a match-three exploding gem game. I could feel my brain cells dying as I played. How fulfilling is it to endlessly match the same old patterns like a toddler putting shapes into a tray cursed never to grow up? And what’s worse is to be constantly driven to play as quickly as possible, without relaxation, like a manic robot, it is just dehumanising. A good game should help us be better humans not make us more machine-like. It is unethical and makes me really dislike the designers of this ‘game’. Save your money. I think this might be fun as a physical board game because the main contribution will come from the social interaction with friends and the leisurely enjoyment of the images for the aesthetic pleasure they give and the way they might spark conversation - something lost in this version of the game where one just rushes to beat the clock and get the images off the screen as soon as possible. ✓ Impossible to play with friendsAfter 45 minutes of logging in, logging out, restarting the app, starting games and quitting games, my friends and I gave up. The interface to start this game is so terrible that we couldn’t play. At one point, our friend joked that we should play a drinking game instead. Every time one of us said “login” take a drink. However, it is incredibly frustrating to lose through no fault of your own because the AI players guessed incorrectly (playing as psychic, not ghost). ✓ Needs workI really love the premise of this game, but the app really needs work. It requires TWO logins - Asmodee for game login and Days of Wonder for account management. They aren’t interchangeable, yet resetting DoW logged me out of Asmodee and says my password is wrong. And DoW offers no support for Mysterium. This is all ridiculous for a game you have to pay for. Also, though the story mode AI is halfway decent, solo mode gives heaps of clues that work perfectly for everything other than what it should point to..Version: 2.3.5
✓ Great digital adaptation but beware older device users...This is a great digital version of the wonderful board game, with a huge host of features including internet play and story modes. However whilst it works fine on newer iPads (iPad Air 2 for instance), it constantly crashes on the iPad 2 and is unplayable. ✓ Huh?It's a simple game and yet I have only the vaguest idea of how to play it correctly. The tutorial is abysmal and the hint text for what actions are available is so small on iphone (6plus) that you can barely read them. Please add something that explains next available actions! Especially playing as the ghost I was totally lost. Whereas with a lot of board game apps I play them and love them and want to play the IRL board game, this game confirmed that I didn't want to get the IRL board game. ✓ BuggyOnly my first game...I played with the max AI, so maybe that changes the game mechanics. I was under the impression I had more than 30 seconds to pick based on the story mode. But the AI’s were all getting their cards and I was last even though I was top of the list and I think the two minutes started when the first AI got their card which is not what the rules say. It could be I do not know how the game goes, but I have been sitting here for five minutes and the ghost still has not done anything and I cannot do anything so...I think this game needs improvement. Maybe the ghost found rest or had second thoughts and doesnt want the culprit found. UPDATE: Played a few more times on Pass and Play. Definite bugs. On the iPhone I could not deselect AIs. That problem went away. I played also on the iPad which had a similar problem: I cannot change the ghost back to AI. The selection changes before I start the game, but it still thinks a player is the ghost. Also, toggle is inconsistent; sometimes I need to cancel and go back to lobby to correct the pass and play conditions. This game is not super fun, because it is frustrating, so even without bugs, I would only give it a 4/5 max..Version: 2.3.6
✓ Good porting of the board gameThe game is beautifully crafted but lack a bit in the user experience, some part of the UI are not intuitive and the social (network) part of the game is buggy feels like an incomplete beta. ✓ Pretty, when it works.Super buggy - got this to play online with friends. Kept kicking one of us out randomly. Also in one game, two of us were somehow both controlling the same character, with no one controlling another, so we had to wait the full two minutes in every round for the game to select a random choice for that character. They badger you with clairvoyance lights so that your screen lights up like a Las Vegas slot machine, then if you don’t pick their answer, they resort to childish name-calling. I’ve played this game quite a bit, and I’ve discovered 90% of the time, they are wrong. Someone reviewed that there are too many private matches, well honestly, I don’t blame them. Especially when you get into matches with people who would rather verbally assault you than play a game. I’m done with this game. ✓ Issues, Issues, and More Issues.I love this game. I really do. I love that it’s always challenging and interesting and there’s an endless number of ways to get or give clues. Having said that, there are some annoying and persistent issues. Lobby is frequented by trolls who blast their disgusting bile. Using the ignore button doesn’t seem to do a thing. Lots of people come in to only play private games, which is unfortunate since this is a game about working together as a team. Many of the bugs that made the game stop working mid-game have been fixed. However, problems continue to persist. For example, someone set up several private games and then got booted or left. Those games have continued to clutter the lobby for days now with no end in sight. If there was some kind of admin, who actually showed up regularly, who also had the power to block trolls, this would greatly improve player experience!!.Version: 2.3.5
