✓ Too Many BugsStarts off good, but after a week or so you reach a point where you need a stable and strong internet connection. Want to get a coin bonus (And you will need them at the higher levels)? Need a two day good connection (that’s typically how often they come). Don’t want to get branded a cheat / pirate and your guild frozen? Don’t donate when your signal isn’t strong, it will trigger the system to permanently tag you. And that’s just one of the many bugs that can trip you up. Plus, you have a limited character window for any help / support contact and once you’ve met the character limit you can’t submit more until they respond - which is typically unhelpful and useless. Literally - the computer says. There’s better options out there..Version: 2.9.4
✓ More ads?I was in one of the highest rated guilds about 4 or so years ago and had spent quite a lot of money on the game so I already know I enjoy it, however, upon returning to the game today, I swear I get ads for literally every second action. Sell things in my backpack, ad, start creating a mining platform, ad, break a corrupted layer, ad. It is literally never ending sometimes and makes the game quite hard to play without paying the $15 fee to remove ads completely. In my personal opinion, the system to get more damage for your laser/faster station income etc. via ads is fine, but forcing me to watch a 30s ad every 2 minutes makes me want to uninstall this game before I can even begin to enjoy it again.Version: 6.0.02
✓ Heard up phone and game chugs to a crawlFun game but I can only play it for minutes at a time. This game heats up my phone and after a few minutes chugs to a crawl. It’s as if there’s some sort of crypto mining happening in the background. Have no issues like this with any other app I have on my phone, on an iPhone 11 with ios14 (was also like this under ios13) Edit - also don’t know why, but the game appears to grab whatever is copied into the clipboard when it loads. Why does a game like this need to know what my clipboard contents are?!?.Version: 3.3.3
✓ DisappointedI love the game. I find it interesting and I like the cave exploration that gives you insight on the creatures. However. Several times I have come back to find any progress made the last time I opened the game reversed and I had to do every action over again. This is a multiple times a day occurrence, often multiple times in an hour or less. It has made the game quite frankly unplayable and extremely frustrating to have to do the EXACT same actions over and over without making any progress at all. Maybe it's the fact that I have an older gen iPad but honestly if that was the issue I shouldn't have been able to download this have in the first place.Version: 2.8.2

✓ Enjoyable at firstDownloaded this the other day to try it out. Had fun and enjoyed the game and was pleased that ads were not shoved in my face constantly. The game has ads but it’s a reasonable amount at that point. Now I progressed a bit further in the game and noticed ads are starting to pop up randomly which they were not doing before. I’m personally deleting the game after making this review. It’s just not enjoyable to have to watch an AD every 30 secs or so on top of the Ads that the game had reasonably spread out and I’m certainly not spending on the no ads option if the game is this pushy..Version: 3.8.4
✓ Errors make it a poor game.I did really enjoy this game and the uniqueness until I came to level 289 and couldn’t get through the first uranium corrupted block. I have been stuck here and no matter what I do I cannot beat this block. Very annoying. Also, what are the point in spell points accumulating if we cannot use them? ✓ GoodGreat game, I love it and have been playing it for a while now, though I only paid it offline because when I don’t I get an ad almost every other menu/interface thing I touch. tap on the crafter to change wire to nails? I think not, here have an ad on the way out. ✓ Another update. No fixes.I originally became very involved in this, it’s different, not your basic game yet simple as well. The atmosphere, the story, the videos they have as well it all adds together to make a unique experience that I have thoroughly enjoyed until recently. It started whilst joining a guild, I wasn’t able to touch around the outsides of the screen as if the game wasn’t calibrated for an iPhone 6s size screen and thought I was on a SE or something. This was only after being on the guild mind you so I just closed and restarted the app. After an update it changed my name to my gamecenter name, I couldn’t change it back even though my guild said my original name anyway, and I couldn’t touch the sides at all times now, meaning I couldn’t use my lasers to progress or touch the arrows to even finish an expedition. After reaching out to support on discord and seeing others complain about it before I thought this update would be the fix. No. It’s the same. I’ve deleted the app, reinstalled, tried everything but to no avail so I’ve deleted the game because I’m fed up of trying. What was once an enjoying relaxing experience has been turned to one of frustration, I’d just like to make other players aware this could be them..Version: 2.9.5
✓ PirateI really do love this game, I spend a lot of my free time playing it and even got a gem pack since a friend recommended it. I do have a few complaints though. The pirate feature is extremely broken at the moment, I haven’t manipulated the game in any way including going from different time zones or changing the time and yet ive been a pirate for almost 4 days now keeping me from guilds. Second, I lost all my progress the first time I played because I tried reinstalling it and I had tried downloading the data but lost everything, including the gems I bought 😭 again I absolutely love this game and will continue to play but I’d love if the pirate thing got fixed :/.Version: 3.6.5

✓ Pointless and boringAll you do is tap the “laser” button every second, and the other tool buttons less often. The resources you gather are pointless and it goes nowhere from there. I kept playing far longer than I should have because I kept thinking there would be something that matters at some point. Games like this usually hook you by creating something interesting to see, and even interact with. This game does nothing but use resources to upgrade mining platforms that just create more resources. The platforms are not interesting, or interactive, or customizable. I just don’t understand what is supposed to be fun about this game. The graphics are kind of cute, but the animation is minimal with no variation. I’m not going to waste any more time trying to figure out if something interesting happens after tapping the laser button once a second for 10 or 20 or 30 hours watching the same lame animation. ✓ Don’t trust the reviewsThe only reviews showing are the one from 2 years ago. Two years ago the game was okay. Right now it’s a buggy hell. You can’t scroll up the clan chat, notifications about building complete show up 2 WEEKS later. Often your bots won’t collect the ressources even if they have been assigned to. The keyboard for writing messages is weird, impractical and inconvenient. If it wasn’t fit the great community of player that helps each other, this game would’ve been completely forgotten..Version: 3.6.2

✓ Fun diversion up to a pointThis is a unique and well crafted game. I appreciate the thought and care that went into it, and this is one of the few games of this genre that isn’t constantly trying to make you spend big money or watch a billion ads. The ads are there and cash items, but the suggestions are subtle and the game is very much still playable without spending. That makes me want to invest some money into it for my appreciation of their work. However, things changed when I got to Area 75 or thereabouts. Suddenly the majority of quests and items to craft require me to dig to area 85 and the costs to upgrade mining tools is enormous. Also, when I got to this level, I was offered nothing new to explore or fun little hints that something good was coming up. Up until Area 75 or so, the quests and new crafting items seemed on par (though I think the dependency on coal and copper goes too far into the game. It should progress to newer resources.) but suddenly everything is stalled until Area 85. I just grind out the materials I need to upgrade mines and make coins. The game got boring quickly. Also, what’s up with Trading? I keep upgrading, but the prices for items are about 1/2 the price of selling them. At the level I’m on, the prices are supposed to be 1.14 the selling price. They’re no more than 0.50. Seems like a waste of time to even open it..Version: 3.1.6
✓ Great Game, ExceptThis game is really fun and engaging. There’s different kinds of mining and a crafting system to keep things interesting. There are micro transactions, but the game isn’t pay-to-win, you can make good progress without spending any money. This would be a 5 star review, except for a major bug I’ve encountered. In order to progress in the game, you have to craft certain items. The one I’m currently working on needs 50 lamps (which also have to be crafted) as base materials, among other things. There’s a weird glitch, though. In my inventory it will show I have more than enough, like 68. But on the crafting menu, it will say I have like 18. No matter what I do, once I get to 50 lamps, the counter resets. I’ve been through this cycle about three times and am quite frustrated. I can’t move forward until this bug is corrected. Once this issue is fixed, I’ll give the game the 5 stars it deserves..Version: 3.2.9
✓ Fun but slowThis is a unique attempt at an idle game but progress is very slow. Every aspect of this game feels like it’s trying to force you to buy gems in order for any real progress to be made in a timely manner. You have only one bot that does your building tasks or can be assigned to collect your resources, and to get more requires gems of which the cost jump quickly. Although you get gems as a quest reward you only get 1 per quest of which there are few at any given moment. As such the 150 gems for your 3rd bot will either take a month to earn or £5 which I feel is a steep price to pay. You are better to approach this game with a twice daily attitude else you’ll quickly get frustrated with the progress speed as even your digging progress is slow due to the constant need of balancing resources for crafting and upgrade or selling them for coin to upgrade mining power along with purchasing mining machinery. All in all I would say the cost of purchases should be 10% of what they are to make this game worth playing properly..Version: 3.3.5
✓ Worst game to ever existIf I could rate this any lower, it would be -1000 because this stupid game is just plain undesirable, I’ve been on level 99 for the last 4 months, I just wanna get past this, you all will not see this. You guys keep adding more but I get none of it because I’m stuck on level 99 and an amber monster just keeps regenerating like 100 million hp a second. I can’t progress. There’s been like, 7 updates since I got stuck, I still got none of it. It’s all late-game content. I don’t wanna do this. Please... help me, make the amber monsters easier to defeat. ✓ Idle is super slowDon’t get me wrong, I really like the game, but I notice when you go away from the game, it resets all active timers even ones that are super long. It makes them go at all the same time but it doesn’t actually add items to the total. Ex...I had 0 refined oil, I boosted everything with gems and bots to start producing a lot of it for my guild. I signed off for 3hrs. The timers were set to produce 2 every 8.44 minutes. I signed back on, found 4 new refined oil and all my timers were starting new at the full amount of time. So I spent real money boosting it and received no production from it. But if I leave my screen on the game, I have 4 new oil every 17 minutes. Why does this game cut you down to nothing even when you boost it by gems and 3 bots? Can someone answer this please?.Version: 3.3.5
✓ Only 2 Hours of Idle???I’m going to agree with the other recent reviews, I was just starting to make really good headway in the game, a decent mining setup, upgraded bots and knocking out objectives left and right. Now I’m hit with a two hour idle limit?? What the heck?? It was fun before but now my 3 hour boosters on my bots mean little to nothing if I’m limited to only two hours of offline idle! With school and work, along with sleep, taking up most of my other time, I can’t check it often enough to warrant anything. I get that the devs are trying to maximize income, but this isn’t how you do it. The game just overrode its biggest feature of having timed bots in the first place. If they redact this feature of 2 hours of idle, the game will be good again. But as it stands, it isn’t worth it. Not enough can be done in two hours of idle. In eight hours, a decent can be done and it’s usually the right amount of time for any amount of idle. Limiting it like this isn’t how you grow the game. It sadly wasn’t an improvement this time. The pop up tutorial system is very flawed, e.g. if you have a building being upgraded and tutorial wants you to build a new holding, you can’t do anything until the upgrade is finished. ✓ Pay to playThe game was fun for the first few days, then I hit a barrier where the game requires you to have certain rare items in order to progress any further (greenhouse). As far as I can tell, the only reasonable way to acquire these items is by purchasing them. There is a small chance to receive them by watching ads, but the combination of many rare items and small chance makes it very difficult. I played the game for a few days, then spent three months just collecting the daily chest and watching ads. I never did receive the needed items. ✓ Fun but confusingThis game was really fun for me for about a few weeks, but one thing I quickly realized was how confusing this game is. There were two main issues I had with this game, one concerning the crafting and smelting floors and the other involving the satellite. I think you guys just need to implement a better tutorial including a) how to smelt, craft, buy new buildings b) how to build the satellite (I don’t mean the missions, I mean integrating a second tutorial that actually puts you through the motions. I’m looking for more of a hands on experience here). Other than that, this game was fairly fun and entertaining but even the layout of where things were was hard to navigate. Please correct these and integrate the story more—after that, I’ll be much more pleased with how this game turned out. For now, I’m deleting it and giving it three stars. ✓ Stupid programmingWell, i never cheated on any game whether you believe it or not. I left my guild joined new one and after 24h i made a request then boom the game crashed. I re-logged, then it crashed multiple times whenever i open the guild tab, then i got a permanent ban. I am a programmer myself by profession(AI). And i know all there is to know about programming video games. i just cannot understand what kind of stupid anti cheating algorithm they have written!.Version: 3.0.1
✓ DisappointingI have been playing deep town for years and I have always enjoyed the game but as of late it has become annoying to play between the app constantly trying to get you to rate it and the in app purchases it shove’s in your face and the ads. What ever happened to making a game that isn’t focused on emptying the players wallet, sure the game had in app purchases before but it wasn’t forcing them in your face almost every chance it got. I understand that games need to make money but if you drive off all your players who’s gonna stay to play. Very sad to see how far it has fallen..Version: 3.6.9

✓ Idle Cap update ruined the gameDeep Town used to be my favourite game. It was an incredibly unique idle game with strategy, exploration and an intriguing story. It was a shame then when their first update in years introduced an idle cap last month, forcing you to watch masses of ads daily in order to merely keep your game running. If you don’t watch the ads (bear in mind there was already lots of optional ad watching happening willingly to get coins, boosts etc.) then everything stops. Your production shuts down. The strategy of setting different things for certain times and making sure you come back just when they’re ready was vaporized. To maximize production you can no longer even go to sleep, or your production will halt in the middle of the night. The game is now unplayable and as bad as most other idle games. Apparently it is to increase user activity, yet the community has given many suggestions other than idle cap and forced ad watching to increase user activity that don’t massively decrease playability and enjoyment. I have now stopped playing because of the update. I can no longer recommend the game to anyone in it’s current ruined state, and until the devs take back what they have done my rating will remain at one star. ✓ Overpowered boss healingSome of the boss finds out he’ll the David you make so you really have to sit there for a while and farm resources longer than you should for one stage just to get past a bossOn top of that and then you have more ability to do more damage and damage over time abilities they seem to not counteracts the over healing that the boss does so you’re really stuck there for a while so I’ll rework the boss ceiling to where it doesn’t instantly outperform your damage output and only way to do it is to spend a crap ton of resources where are you go completely broke just to beat that one boss only run into it again and Not be able to beat it and have to rinse and repeat.Version: 3.3.3

✓ Don’t waste your timeTo start I will say this is a good game to play, however the developers and support are shocking. The game is very buggy, they have a system to automatically makes cheaters a “pirate” which mean your banned. Which sounds good but with all the bugs in the game, IT DOSENT WORK! I understand mistakes happen and with a simple help message to support this would normally be fixed.....not this game. The support are not interested at all. ✓ Fundamental Problems in a good gameDeep Town suffers from the fundamental problem that it does not accurately account for the resources are supposed to be gathered. Many times I’ve checked on the game to see that several of my individual mining machines are full, even though the collection drones are still functioning. When you’re trying to collect 100,000 Amber for example, it is very discouraging to have your collection drones running 24 hours a day and only collecting several hundred Amber when you’re supposed to be producing 150 per minute. I have never played an idle game that manages resource production this badly. Hopefully the developers will fix it, because I would then give it five stars..Version: 3.6.8
✓ DissapointmrentI started a special item at the crafting station. It took a few other craftable items. The production bar was even moving. It said it would take 5 hours. I got on next morning and it was no where to be found. The quest line didnt even recognize it. I also lost all of my silicon and other minerals that it said I collected while being offline. This has always been the case. I have never received my offline rewards. Not once. For a game to be out this long and to be asking for money when it still has this big of basic problem, Im just at a loss for words..Version: 3.6.8

✓ Good game but needs fix for screenThe game itself is amazing in game play wise but for me to continue I need to do Expeditions, but I’m stuck on the first one since you need to click on those arrows to get those text of info on the item you uncovered, but with this calibration issue I can’t click on the arrows so I can’t continue the game till the screen issue is fixed overall good game would love a reply on if you guys are working on this issue..Version: 2.9.8
